((OOC: Time for the standard Invite Only disclaimer. You need to know a lot about Shin Megami Tensei games in general, especially the Persona series and Devil Survivor games. You need to be active, and you need permission from both myself and Mugenginga. So yeah.))
Once again the group of Souji Seta, Keiichi Kimura, and Yuugi Mutou had found themselves in the Radio Shack of El Grande Mall, though today they had someone new with them. Minato Arisato, another Persona user, had joined them. As it was, this was the last day they had to save Atem.
As of such, the group had entered the TV World, a strange world filled with fog. Souji was going glasses-less, having lent his pair to Minato, while K1 was wearing a pair of light blue ones Souji had gotten customized for him. Souji seemed to be squinting at everything in his path. Obviously, he couldn’t see too well through the fog. Minato frowned.
“You can have these back if you can’t see, Seta-san,” Minato said.
“You can’t see through the fog,” Souji said. He stepped forward, and squinted at his path. “I can at least see somewhat.”
“Yeah, but you’re also staring at a wall,” K1 said. “I agree. If you’re going to lead us through the TV World, then you need to be able to see.”
“I’m fine.” Souji said, and turned toward which way he thought the door was.
“And that’s a statue,” K1 said. “Minato, give Souji-san his glasses back.”

Yuugi looked at Souji. They needed him to get into the TV World, but he was so obviously exhasuted. Even if he'd had the goggles, he would probably be wandering around. Minato would knew the look well. It seemed the Dark Hour drained people differently than the TV World. Exhaustion set in in such a manner that it could severely hamper fighting abilities, especially if one's "condition" was poor before entering. Souji would be at a disadvantage...
"Seta-kun... since we're in my reality and dealing with Atem's... maybe I should take the lead?"
He wasn't sure he really wanted to, but the level of confidence was... better than he expected. Causing a slight surprised expression he quickly changed to a somewhat supportive one. He hoped no one had seen it. This was... upsetting. The level of assertiveness he'd just had wasn't something he would have considered in character, and the fact that it was likely a result of being seperated from Atem made him feel more depressed.

Souji and K1 both turned to face Yuugi.
"Actually, that's a great idea," K1 said. "Alright, Yuugi, you take the lead. Souji..." He turned to Souji, who had pulled out a pair of... rather round glasses? It looked like something had been pulled off of them at the bridge of the glasses. And the lenses were rather silly looking.
Even without the nose on there, Souji looked quite silly. K1 surpressed a snicker, before saying, "Okay... so I guess we all do have glasses after all."
Souji sighed. "Can we just go?"

Yuugi noticed Souji's annoyance, but K1 was right. The glasses were... Yuugi realized what they were. Why Souji had a pair of gag glasses was beyond him, but it wasn't the time to ask about that. Had things not been so chaotic lately, he might have laughed. As it was he just gave an odd look towards the teen before turning around.
He paused for a moment, "You okay, Minato-kun?"
After all, this was his first time in the World. And the whole Egyptian crypt thing was a rather sink or swim introduction. These kinds of places were creepy in real life, let alone with real monsters.

Minato nodded. He actually wasn't feeling too hot, and in fact had a slight headache. Obviously, the effects of the TV World on someone who hadn't been here before. Oh, and he was more than a bit creeped out by the hieroglyphic-esque kanji in this tomb, and the small fact that Yuugi's reality is a rather screwed up Egyptian tomb. Not the most pleasant of places to visit.
"I'm fine. We should hurry, right? We need to save Atem," Minato said. Souji nodded.
"Lead the way, Yuugi," Souji said. He gave a slight yawn as he said this. The fact that Souji was this tired and had come in anyways was not lost on K1. Another thing he'd have to "talk" to Souji about later.

Yuugi nodded quickly and advanced forward. He didn't really like this place for various reasons. The fact that his "reality" was an Egyptian like tomb being a biggie. He hadn't missed it anymore than the others. He got his connection to Atem, but this was just weird. However, the going seemed quicker. He hesitated at a corner and turned to Minato.
"Um... shield your eyes and watch your step, Minato-kun. The drop from the exit is pretty steep... And its bright out, especially near the entrance."
He hoped Minato had heard him and walked forward. It wouldn't be a big issue to get out now that he knew the way the exit worked. He climbed down and stepped to the side to wait for the others.

K1 and Souji had both silently decided not to notice their previous lapse of brain cells to Minato, and jumped down. K1 winced as he hit the ground. Right. Not in the best of shape still. Souji glanced over to the teen, before shielding his eyes. This lower pyramid was still very shiny and possibly blinding.
Minato glanced down before jumping down himself, landing next to K1. He immidiately realized why Yuugi had said to protect his eyes. At the moment, they seemed to be right next to a giant something shiny. Once his eyes had adjusted somewhat, he realized that the bottom part of this weird diamond shape was covered in some kind of shiny limestone, or granite, or whatever.
"I'm guessing that this bottom part is Atem's reality, then?" Minato asked. Souji nodded.

Yuugi glanced at K1 with a concerned look as the other teen winced. It more the slight noise the teen made than the actual expression. After all, it wasn't exactly easy to make things out. He turned towards Minato and nodded about the same time as Souji did, "I think it might be connected to the way Atem thinks I'm his reincarnation," he paused, "It's complicated and takes too much time to explain..."
What went unspoken was that there was a high chance they only had today to rescue the Pharaoh. Yuugi felt his way across the side of the inverted pyramid a bit. When his hands brushed across some etching, he nodded to himself.
"Dark," he stated, and the area he was touching vanished before the group's eyes. He headed in, "It'll close quickly, but the way to get in is by saying dark..."
He waited a bit inside for the others to follow. He really wanted to save Atem, but he felt the nervousness rising. They were going to have to face Atem's shadow. And while no one had asked the question, he had a funny feeling the Shadow had been talking about... he was grateful for the darkness in the tomb, and took a step back to further conceal himself in it. He felt the heat of a slight blush on his face.

Before stepping inside, K1 summoned Brigid, and let her go in after Yuugi. He then ran inside himself, followed by Souji and Minato. It was still rather dark in the tomb, though it seemed the fog was letting up a little today. Of course, that wasn't neccisarily a good thing.
"We should hurry. Yuugi, lead the way." Souji said.

Yuugi nodded. Souji had said they should run. Time was short. He noticed the fog was a bit lighter, which meant it was all but nonexistant thanks to the goggles. As per Souji's suggestion yesterday, he broke into a run.
And promptly vanished from view. Well, not quite. He vanished down from view. He was too startled to even scream. A sound like grinding stone echoed towards the group from where Yuugi had fallen. The fact was that by running rather than the slow speed he had gone yesterday, he had activated a trap. And the stone "doors" he had fallen through were slowly closing. The hieroglyphics on the wall indicated how to activate the trap, but the others couldn't read it. And the trapdoor was quickly closing... -----
Yuugi hit the floor hard, feeling a crack in one of his legs as he hit. The pain was rather extreme. He tried to jump to his feet but faceplaned. He looked down and winced. Legs... weren't supposed to bend that way. Which meant the fall had broken it. All things considered, it was probably not too bad an injury. But he heard noise from not too far away. And it was advancing. It meant...
"Can anyone hear me!" he shouted up.
Actually, the accoustics of the place would work to his advantage. He was more than a few floors down, but they might hear the faintest of what sounded like Yuugi's voice. He turned towards where he hard the noise and pulled out Nefertum's card. Maybe the Dia skill of his Persona could help here. He also quickly drew five cards from his and Atem's deck. There was nothing to indicate they wouldn't work here, right?
"Those who run from darkness will fall prey to it..."
Yuugi jerked, but quickly calmed down. Atem's Shadow. Right. However... somehow it didn't seem like it was directed at him. That was not a good sign. Panic was quickly setting in...
(OOC: Okay, Yuugi is directly above Atem's current location and the Shadow is directly below that. However, it is fast approaching Atem. The hieroglyphics inform that if one quickly advances over the floor, the trap door will open up. It's highly unlikely a member of the group can, or even Egyptian Persona because of the way they are of the psyche. But I say a demon based on an Egyptian god COULD, as its implied the demons are what were worshipped long ago. If all else fails, one of the group might put the figurative pieces together on their own, but that would take the most time.
Also, where the glyphs don't say this, the words refer to ANY form of speed (the implication that they do is that they don't specify the form of speed). As such, it could safely be flown over to activate the trap and allow passage. I'll leave it up to you if your characters would come up with that solution.
A shadow is quickly approaching Yuugi. Dia could heal him, but it would take several applications. The most powerful Dia skill is what is needed here for full effectiveness. If you want to hold off on getting the group down to Yuugi, I do plan on him being able to defend himiself, but he won't last long.)

"YUUGI!"
K1 ran forward to where Yuugi had fallen in an obvious lapse of judgement. Minato was suddenly and unopprotunely reminded of Junpei, and as of such, what happened next didn't surprise him much. The floor fell out from under K1, and he fell very, very far. Just as far as Yuugi had fallen, in fact, and he ended up landing right next to him. It had not been a very pleasant fall, and while he hadn't broken anything, it didn't look like he was going to be standing up anytime soon.
At least the COMP wasn't broken, which was good because there was a something with several arms scuttling his way.
--------------------
"Well, this is just GREAT," Minato stomped on the floor where K1 and Yuugi had fallen through. "How had he opened this up anyway?"
"...They both ran over the door," Souji realized. "That sounded like a long fall, though. I don't recommend it."
"Well, what do you suggest we do?" Minato asked.
"Let's head through here by ourself. The shadows in here aren't that tough as long as we avoid Mudo skills. If we hurry, we can get down to them in only a few minutes," Souji said. He turned to Brigid. "Please lead the way."
The demon nodded.

Yuugi facepalmed as he looked at the cards. Right, dark. He couldn't make the pictures out if he held them to his face. Yesterday the area had shown that the further down you went, the darker it got. In some impossible to grasp way considering how dark it was on the first floor. He was putting the cards back with the deck when he heard a not quite sickening thunk noise. He coughed as a bit of dust, sand, or something of the sort flew at him.
"Who's there!?" he shouted, more than clearly indicating the level of panic. He crushed Nefertum's card and the Persona materialized. It was a good thing there was some kind of psychological link between Personae and their users. Cause Yuugi couldn't physically see the entity. At his will the Persona remained on guard. Whatever had crashed down next to him wasn't instantly attacking.
And there was the sound of crackling fire, flapping wings, and other unsafe sounding things... less than eight feet away from whoever had landed next to him if the world wasn't screwing up his spacial sense. And out of the darkness a extremely large stream of fire shot towards K1.
In an odd bit of "help" it allowed Yuugi to see the three entities approaching. And that whoever had fallen next to him was K1. Two cross shaped things and a flaming shadow bird-like creature with the mask that winged lion-thing had worn on its face yesterday.
"K1-kun!"
There wasn't likely time to dodge, and certainly not enough time for Yuugi to do anything to help the other teen... -----
Atem felt himself stir... he had passed out again. Any chance of time sense at all he may have had was completely shot. Where was he...? He felt around with his hands and realized he was on some stairs. There was a presence below, but if it wanted to get him it would have to come towards him. He didn't think he had the energy to get up.
Well, a certain Shadow had no problem with that. After all, the traps in this World had just made things more difficult for him. Well, "his" partner did have the strength to turn things to his advantage, after all...

K1 jumped, and turned around. Oh, this was even better.
"Astaroth, get out here!" K1 yelled. He summoned a new demon, one who was quite definitely compensating for something. The demon was a helmeted but otherwise naked man riding a snake. If it weren't for the circumstances, the Freudian imagery would have been hilarious.
The snake slithered in front of K1. At the moment, K1 couldn't summon any other demons, and if he brought Brigid down here, Minato and Souji would be stranded. The best thing to do would be to use Astaroth as a meat shield until the two of them made it down there.
---------------------
At the moment, Souji and Minato were both slicing through any shadows in their path. With things other than swords. Having multiple personae was an amazing thing.

Which wasn't a bad plan. Except, you know, that the Agidyne that had been fired at K1 hit Astaroth instead. And, you know, that Astaroth's weakness was fire. Yeah. Much in the way of screaming was had. Surprisingly, the demon still stood. Although the odd crosses flashed with energy and two more stupidly large streams of fire shot at the snake riding demon.
"Nefertum, Dia!" Yuugi shouted. There was one advantage to fire slinging opponents. It made the otherwise pitch black battlefield easier to see. Temu followed the command and quickly held out its hands. The ankh-styled staff hovered upright between them and a small beam of energy shot towards Astaroth. Although the odds of the demon surviving three consecutive hits to its weakness weren't very good with just a low level healing spell cast on it.
It was morbidly amusing. Yuugi was the one with the broken leg, but he was commanding his Persona to focus his skills on K1's demons. Woulda been sweet under other circumstances. -----
Was... he moving? Atem wasn't sure how many times he had drifted in and out of consciousness, but there was definently something clamped around his ankle. He couldn't make it out in the darkness. However, there seemed to be some light ahead. If one could call it that, it was like the darkness was casting light.
Those who had seen the broadcast the night before would know what was meant by this. Atem felt consciousness slip away again. Good lord he was tired...

As it was, Astaroth wasn't holding up too well. K1 was mentally kicking himself for that decision, but if he removed Astaroth from the battle now, K1 would be open for attack.
"Astaroth, heal yourself, dammit!" K1 yelled. Astaroth lifted his weapon and glowed with a white light, his wounds healing for now. He wasn't the best magic user, as it was, and he'd probably only be able use Diarama one more time.
---------------
Minato and Souji were two floors from K1 and Yuugi now, having pulled out the stops when it came to fighting these shadows.
"How much farther?" Minato asked Brigid.
"Just a couple more floors," Brigid said quietly.
