Yuugi was walking by the apartments. K1 had decided to come along, so the two (three) of them were together in the mid-afternoon "sun". Yuugi couldn't believe he had spaced the conversation he'd had with Minato.
"I'm glad you came, but I really have no idea where Minato lives..." Yuugi said as he walked by the blue-haired teen.
(Sorry, its short. XD)

Luckily for him, Minato was just coming out of a room and he turned to see Yuugi. "Oh, hello there," he said with a smile on his face as he walked over to them. "I see you brought a friend as well."

"Minato!" Yuugi almost ran into the taller teen, "Wow, small world!"
Yuugi paused. He just now realized how similar Minato and K1 appeared. He looked between the two and had to ask, "Are you two related or something?"
Atem was wondering that as well. They looked like the could be brothers, although Minato carried himself a bit more defensively. It was then Yuugi's pocket began to beep. He jumped a bit, wondering how his heart was going to survive the island, and pulled the COMP out.
(OOC: Firebreath, I have NO idea how to format the messages from the COMPS, so you take care of that. 'sides, K1 might be getting one too. If they don't normally beep, maybe Yuugi's was set to that and he hasn't turned that feature off.)

K1 reached a hand out to Minato. "Keiichi Kimura. Just call me K1. Pleased to meet you."
At Yuugi's question, he shook his head. "No. I have another cousin named Minato, but he isn't him." Plus, they hadn't seen each other in years, anyways.
When Yuugi's COMP started beeping, he turned his head. "What is it?"

"I don't know who it's from. Its not the same place as before," Yuugi said, showing the screen to K1. He hoped Minato didn't think he was being rude.

K1 took a look at the screen. "Don't worry, it's just the 'How to Use' mails. They explain the various features of your COMP."
That was probably a good thing; K1 didn't think it was a good idea for Yuugi to be wandering around with a COMP and no idea how to use it.

"A COMP?" Minato asked calmly, looking at it softly. Then he looked at K1. "Hmmmm, I see. So you're from a world similar to mine. Mikuru told me the Evokers she created were based on this old technology that allowed demon summoning. The original models were called COMPs."

"Oh, you know about these?" Yuugi smiled, "Small... ah, multiverse, I guess. I can look at these later, right?"
Yuugi tucked the COMP back into his pocket, the hard plastic clunking against the metal key as he made sure it was secure.
"It looks like we've all had experiences with demons," Yuugi noted.

"The evoker? This is it." Minato took out his "gun" and showed it to K1. "It's made in the shape of the gun because... well Miruku wanted to impress her boyfriend, Akihiko, who's into action." He shrugged. "Either way, the evoker is used to summon Persona, manifestations of your psyche that are kinda like demons. The method of summoning is controversial; it makes you look like you're commiting suicide. Other then that, however, it's the main method of attack used."

Yuugi ran the thoughts through his head, "Wait, so you shoot yourself to use it? Wow, I'm glad you told me this before doing it!" he said.
Atem was impressed as well. He said something to Yuugi, who nodded to the "empty area" to his side.
"Uh, is there blood involved? I know some stories say sacrifices are needed to summon..."
It was actually Atem who had thought of that. He was all too aware of how great sacrifice was often needed for power. It was the single most disdainful thing about the Millenium Items. His father had been unaware of it and had killed himself to atone for it.

K1 jumped a little when he saw Minato pull out the gun, but when he listened to the explanation of how it worked, he let out a sigh of relief. "Oh, okay... but how do you not get arrested carrying that thing around? Or do the police not care about gun control with all of the demons running around?" Come to think of it, Minato had never said exactly what it was he was fighting against.
He looked at Yuugi. "Probably not, since you don't need any sacrifices or anything to use the COMPs, and evokers apparently work with a similar technology."

"No blood is required," Minato answered to Yuugi's question. As to K1's, he shook his head. "Seeing as the monsters I fight against, the Shadows, only come out during the Dark Hour, a hidden hour between Midnight and one o'clock A.M. where most humans are safe sleeping inside coffins and those that aren't go insane and become what we know as the Lost, no one knows about the Evoker except my fellow teammates because I don't have to carry it on me except for when I'm hunting Shadows in the middle of the Dark Hour."

"Wow, no wonder the other me thought you were a warrior. I don't think I could live in a world like that," Yuugi said before letting out a huge yawn, "Oh... sorry. I haven't slept in over twenty-four hours," he finished with another yawn.
Yuugi didn't specify why he had been up for that long. He didn't even think of it. Even if he had, he would have kept it to himself to preserve K1's privacy. The other teen had shown he was sensitive about the information.

"Oh. Okay then," K1 said. "That's gotta be a better situation than my world then. There, we've gotta be careful about demons all the time, even at night. One wrong turn, and you could be forced into battleing a demon stronger than you could deal with."
He was glad Yuugi didn't bring up the battle in Portal Park. The less people that knew about the Death Clocks and the Laplace Mails, the better.
