Sorry Yuugi... the opening is there! With that, Minato steered his car into Yuugi's, causing him to hit the wall of the track. It made Yuugi end up behind Minato just in time for his car to cross the finishing line. There was no big scream of winner or loser or anything from Minato's mouth, just a contented sigh and a satisfied smile.

Many people would have been upset, but Yuugi was grinning from ear to ear. Atem wondered if it would have turned out differently if Yuugi had been trying from the start, but kept it to himself. The fight was over, after all, and complaining about a loss was detestable as far as he was concerned.
"I wish Jounouchi had been here... then again, maybe that wouldn't be a good thing. He'd probably have been screaming over my shoulder..." Yuugi was smiling, but it didn't reach his eyes. Those showed that he was getting worried.
Atem frowned. He and Yuugi had been here for a while and there was no indication getting home was going to be possible anytime soon. Those thoughts were finally sinking in for Yuugi...

"He'll probably appear someday," Minato said, getting out of his machine. "I cannot guarantee it, but it may happen. I, too, was hoping for some of my friends to appear... but in the process of waiting, I've also made new friends."

Yuugi nodded, but didn't seem convinced. When he and Atem had been sucked in, the tomb had been collapsing. What if his friends had been caught inside?
"Need a break, partner?"
Yuugi shook his head at the empty space next to him. Atem chose not to argue it. Yuugi was trying to act tougher than he really was, but Atem didn't know how much Michael knew about the two of them and didn't want to cause a scene.
"Do you know of anyplace I can stay? I don't want to be stuck outside when night falls."

Minato was about to speak, but Michael interjected. "There's a hotel here that you can stay it. It's a very nice place, but not very cheap... I act as the moneyman here. If I find someone I like, I may bless them with a small fortune." Suddenly Yuugi's pockets began to glow. If he searched them, he'd find they had lots of cash within them. "That's my role of existance in this world... not to mention I'm the first 'puppetmaster' to enter this world."

Atem was half a second from expressing himself when he felt the magical surge targeted at Yuugi, but managed to calm himself down when he realized it was no harm. Yuugi jumped at Atem's reaction and looked down at where his partner was.
"You don't have to do that!" said Yuugi. He hated being an inconvenience of any sort. Minato had been about to answer and Yuugi suspected it was something less... flashy than what Micheal had pulled.

"Everyone says that... but I do not care. Use the money as you like." Michael seemed blunt in his responses, but it was to insure that Yuugi did not squabble over it. "Besides, if you're worried about having to pay me back, don't. Consider it a gift, not a loan."

Yuugi sighed. Knowing that Atem was right didn't make him want to argue it any less.
"Thanks." said Yuugi, "Minato, should we go check on Tomoya?"

"Hey guys." Tomoya walked in. "I'm done eating... thought I'd come to see if you were still in the arcade."

"I guess that solves that. So, could you show me where the hotel is?" Yuugi asked Minato, "I... uh... unless you've got somewhere I can stay..." he hoped he hadn't insulted Michael's gift.
Tomoya had not been there when Atem went back into the puzzle, so it would appear Yuugi had gone through another split personlity episode. He had the underconfident stance of when they first met and was once again picking his words carefully in a soft voice.

People have split personalities all the time in real life, Tomoya thought.
Minato spoke. Michael opened his mouth to speak again, but Minato tripped him, making it look like he hadn't moved to do so. "Sure I'll show you to the hotel," he said in a polite manner.

(OOC: Next thing we know, Tomoya's going to pull a Kaiba and say that none of this supernatural stuff is happening even when it literally smacks him in the face. XD)
Yuugi missed Minato's movement and Atem chose not to comment on it, "Thanks! Are you coming too, Tomoya?" asked Yuugi.
(OOC: Oh, did Tomoya and/or Minato give their last names at any point? Yuugi would be using them if they had. Japanese politeness and all that.)

"I guess," Tomoya said, beginning to follow.
"I'm working on securing myself and some of my other friends an apartment room," Minato said. "You might be able to visit us there sometime," Minato replied.

"How many other people do you know? Any from your world?" Yuugi glanced back to Tomoya to try and indicate the question was for both of them. He wasn't sure he was sucessful.

"Me neither," Tomoya answered.
"I know a couple of people now though... like Shine, Alucard, and Trevor..." Minato looked off into the sky.
