((OOC: Invite only, Must have knowledge of Persona 3/4, must have knowledge of Devil Survivor, must be fairly active, PM Mugen or myself if you want to join etc. etc.))
Upon arriving back at Naoya's apartment, K1 suddenly became aware that his COMP had a new mail, and opened it up to check it. His face contorted into a grimace as he read it. "It's from Midori."
K1 facepalmed. "K2, you didn't tell Midori you've got a new COMP now, did you?"
--------------
Souji, Minato, Ryoji, Teddie, Yuugi, and Atem were all standing at the entrance to their building at the apartment complex. It had begun raining a bit ago, and now was a bit more than a light drizzle. The fog had begun to set in on this side as well.
"I've got some stuff I've still got to do, but I'll go ahead and take you to my place," Souji said to Ryoji. He wanted to talk to Minato about the Ryoji thing. Alone. That required everyone else to be in bed. He could fill Yuugi and Atem in later if he needed to, but he'd prefer Teddie and Ryoji both be in bed, or at least where they couldn't eavesdrop.
Minato turned to Teddie. "You can stay at my apartment tonight, if you want."

K2 paused as K1 flipped open his COMP. He looked annoyed, but it was a human annoyed. K2 never realized he would find that kind of expression comforting. He shook his head in response to K1's question, "Even if I'd wanted to, I didn't really have the time. Honestly, I'd mostly forgotten about her," he looked away, "I should probably let her know I'm okay. We haven't seen each other for a while."
The way he hesitated seemed almost as if he were asking permission to do so. He knew what her feelings about the whole situation were. Talking to her would probably just cause problems... but it wasn't fair to let her think something had... well, that he was missing or anything of the sort. -----
Ryoji looked like he was going to be sleepwalking in a few minutes. The few moments it took him to respond likely made Souji think he hadn't heard him, but he finally nodded.
"...K1 is probably going to be gone by the end of tomorrow," Atem said. Yuugi had been looking a bit depressed, and the way he looked up at Atem's words meant he'd been thinking it.
"Is he going to be okay...?" Yuugi asked Atem.
Atem hesitated, "I don't know. With Kaini there things might work out, but I don't think he's going to be the same if we ever see him again."
Yuugi nodded, "Are you guys okay on your own?"
Teddie looked up and nodded. Ryoji didn't appear to hear. When Minato offered to let Teddie stay at his place the blond's face lit up, "Is it really okay!?"
Teddie always had had issues accepting offers like that.

Minato gave a thumbs up to Teddie. "Perfectly fine! Just promise you won't eat all my Topsicles."
"Yeah, there's no promises there. I'd put those things under lock and key," Souji said. He looked to Ryoji, who definitely looked like he needed sleep now. He was practically asleep on his feet as it was. "Alright, we'll see you guys later," Souji said as he turned around and started walking upstairs. "My apartment's the third one on the right. If you see a guy with messy hair wearing a suit wandering around, tell me. You'll know him, he smells of cabbage," he explained to Ryoji.
"...Cabbage?" Minato repeated from below, being able to hear Souji as he spoke to Ryoji. He sighed.
---------------
K1 closed his COMP. "She'll just come around again if you don't mail her. She's persistent like that."
He turned to Kaini. "I call the bed tonight."
Which was completely unfair, since he had the bed the previous night.

Teddie made a hurt expression, but it was obviously meant in jest. He'd follow Minato up when the blue haired teenager actually headed up. Yuugi told the group goodbye, and he and Atem headed upstairs themselves. They were actually both rather tired...
"...Cabbage?" Ryoji said. He had said it quietly enough, Minato wouldn't be aware of when he said it. Neither would Ryoji in relation to Minato. But they had totally said it at the exact same moment, and in perfect sync. He shook his head, "I'll probably be passed out on the couch. Thanks again, by the way. I'm still really confused as to what's going on..." Most of it came out as a mumble, and was in truth hard to fully make out. -----
"I'll have to get the old COMP then. It stll works as a COMP, so sending her a mail won't be a problem," Kaini winced as he took a step forward, "I think the bandage should be changed... that one attack was enough to reopen the wounds."
Naoya had walked past the teens and came out. He handed the slightly battered silver COMP to Kaini, "We're going back when the sun rises," Keiichi was calm for the time being, so Naoya was back to deciding how things were going to go without deferring to his younger brother, "The chair is set up in the bedroom."
Kaini made no indication he heard. He looked up as Keiichi called the bed and nodded. He showed no signs of arguing as he flipped open the COMP. He sweatdropped at the messages and quickly read through them. They all said roughly the same thing, just slightly more panicked each time. There was some heavy Japanese smilie abuse in them as well.
He was walking towards the bedroom as he wrote the message. He'd sit down on the chair once they go there. His bandages did still need changing, but after the last attempt Naoya had no intentions of offering.
K2 hit send and solemnly closed the COMP. It had been written like a farewell letter... and he'd meant it that way. He sighed. Tomorrow... tomorrow the events that had set the world's changing into motion were going to come to a head. He glanced over at his twin and winced at the movement. Dammit, he still needed to get the bandages changed.

Souji smiled at Ryoji. "It's no problem, really. And I'll explain things in the morning. Like I said, sleep's more important right now. Trust me on this," Souji said. He pulled his apartment key out of his pocket, shook some more pixie dust off of them, and opened his door. "Alright, I'll see you later tonight. Make sure you lock the door behind you," he said to Ryoji before heading down the hall again. Minato had started coming up the stairs at that moment, and when he got up to the floor, Souji said, "Meet me back out here once you get Teddie settled, okay? Teddie, don't eat all of his Topsicles."
-----------------
K1 walked into the room and spotted Kaini sitting down. He could see the blood spot from before on the back of Kaini's shirt. "Oh, right. Your bandages. Give me five minutes."
Kaini's battered silver COMP beeped as Midori's reply came. It looked like she was still awake.

Ryoji returned the smile and nodded. He headed into the apartment and locked it like Souji had said before walking over the couch. He practically fell onto it, it certainly wasn't a sit. Best he could tell, he was in another world. It certainly didn't look like Japan. It would plausibly explain why he had no idea how he got here either. He frowned a bit and an expression of something like grief crossed his face. He wasn't the type to dwell on things he couldn't remember, but he didn't know what he'd been doing before waking up in that eerily familiar place.
He decided to use tiredness as an excuse and closed his eyes, falling asleep within minutes. -----
"I'm not that bad!" Teddie seemed a little miffed this time. It was a funny joke at first, but did they need to keep saying it. But the miffed expression dropped a bit, "Don't stay up too late, okay Sensei?"
He turned towards Minato, waiting for the blue haired teenager to lead the way to his apartment. He wasn't sure why Souji wanted to talk to Minato alone, but he was sure there was a good reason. -----
K2 nodded as his twin walked off to get the bandages. He looked down at the COMP as it beeped. That had been fast. He looked annoyed at the message. He'd wanted to do it cleanly... He hesitated for a moment over the machine before shaking his head. It would be better if he kept with the theory that the last e-mail had been just that... the last. He closed the COMP and turned it off. At least she didn't have the e-mail to the one he was now using.
She couldn't possibly understand, anyhow, and if she wanted to cling to the "light" as such, he had no right to try and stop her.

Souji nodded to Teddie as Minato led the way to his own apartment, which was a bit further down the hall from Souji's apartment. After unlocking the door for Teddie, he turned to the blond haired pretty... bear. Who could probably easily pass for a chick.
"I'll be back soon," Minato said to Teddie. He turned and walked down to Souji. Once Minato's door clicked behind Teddie, Souji asked his question.
"Who is Ryoji?" Souji asked. "And don't tell me he's just a friend or something like that. There was something weird going on with him during that fight with your shadow, and I talked to Teddie. The shadows were afraid of him."
"I wasn't going to make any excuses," Minato stated. "Ryoji is the same person as Pharos, that creepy kid I kept seeing in my dreams. He's Death who had been sealed inside of me, and he's also the Appriser of Nyx. His existence means the Fall has been put into motion. You said Teddie was a Shadow who had gained a human form. Because Ryoji had been sealed within me when I was six, he got human emotions, a human form, all of that pulled off of me."
"So you've been so distant because you know what's going to happen," Souji said.
"I failed, Souji. That wasn't even Nyx in the TV World, just some construct my brain made when it made that Tartarus. And when I tried doing the Great Seal on it, I..." Minato stopped as Souji put a hand on his shoulder.
"Forget it. Get some sleep. I've kept you up too late as it is. You just awakened to your Persona again, and you remember what happened the first time you awakened it," Souji said. Minato laughed.
"Yeah. Out in a coma for a week. Alright, see you later, Souji! And here's hoping for no more comas, am I right?" Minato called as he walked down the hallway. Souji waved as Minato left. Once Minato went back into his own apartment, Souji sighed.
Well, crap.
------------------------
(Let's do the time skip again!)
K1 had bandaged his brother's wounds again, and then went to bed. He had been up once the sun came up, having remembered when Naoya had said they were leaving. He pulled together everything he needed, ate, and then got out his COMP. He'd written a long farewell message to Yuugi in his head, but when he got his COMP out for real, he couldn't think of anything to write but one word. He hit send, and then turned to the others.
"Let's go," K1 said.

Naoya had already been up when Keiichi had awoken. Naoya was folding up some programming notes, and two USB drives were on the computer desk. He had actually turned in the key to the apartment about half an hour earlier with the information he'd be gone before noon. He flipped the COMP and checked the time. He'd be gone before 9AM, it seemed.
K2 had started awake a few moments after K1 had left the room. He felt a knot in the pit of his stomach, but closed his eyes and shook his head. He'd made his decision. He stood up, feeling the pain but for once not caring. He glanced at the silver COMP on the headstand. He picked it up and looked at it for a moment before unceremoniosly dropping it in the trash. There was no trashbag, though. He just wanted to get rid of that aspect of things and even an unlined trashcan seemed fitting.
He walked out of the room. Naoya didn't eat breakfast with the twins, and they were both silent. K2 tried to think of something to say several times, but he didn't even get so far as looking up. He didn't bother finishing, getting up with his brother when he did. He saw K1 open the COMP and a few button presses later he hit the confirmation button and closed it.
Naoya didn't reply to Keiichi as he said it was time to go. He walked over to the computer, which had a string of coding. The desktop would fry itself to the point of not being usable after it teleported them back, and while he'd adjusted it to bring Kaini to where they had left, Midori would return to wherever she had been drawn from. His expression was flat as he hit enter. In a electric-like bloodred flash, the three were gone... -----
Yuugi woke up to the beep from his COMP. He looked over to it and rubbed his eyes, suddenly becoming more awake when he realized who it was probably from. He flipped it open and didn't even see the empty folders scattered across the display as he opened the e-mail.
One word. Goodbye. Yuugi felt his heart sink and let his hands fall into his lap. That was it then. He'd betrayed K1, and now he was gone. Atem walked through the door and looked pained, "Partner..."
Yuugi shook his head, his voice wavering a bit as he tried to not cry, "It's... it's not like we could have stayed in touch anyhow... Eventually we'd all be going back, and we don't come from the same world..."
"I'm sorry," Atem said. There wasn't really much more he could say. Even if by some chance K1 returned... Atem looked away. He'd either die or become the King of Demons, and he somehow didn't think the king would be remotely who Yuugi had befriended.
Yuugi looked back at the message and just then noticed the folders. It hadn't seemed possible his expression could sink more. Atem looked awkward as he stood in the doorway. He had a guess at what had caused the look, but what was he supposed to do? Yuugi closed the COMP.
"....we should check on Minato-kun-tachi," stated the short teen, his voice still wavering a bit. -----
Teddie had woken up half an hour ago. He'd looked in on Minato, but the blue haired teen was throughly zonked out on the bed. He sighed and went to the freezer and grabbed a Topsicle. He'd had one last night, but two wasn't the big an issue right? He sat down on the couch as he began to eat. He was boooored. -----
As for Ryoji, he was still asleep. He'd really been exhausted last night. Subconsciously suppressing one's "fate" did that to a "person".

Souji was... still asleep. Very much so, in fact. And while he's probably wake up if Yuugi knocked once on his door, he was still very much asleep.
Minato, down the hall, was in a much deeper sleep. His alarm clock went off, but he just hit snooze and went back to bed.

"Are you up for that?" Atem asked. His voice was almost uncharacteristically soft.
Yuugi nodded, "We have to tell them, at least. Seta-kun wanted us to keep an eye on them and tell him... but I'm worried about Minato-kun. He was acting weird last night," the show of being tough Yuugi was putting on seemed at least partially accurate. It had taken being slapped in the head with hit, but he seemed slightly accepting... slightly.
"I can check on Minato-kun. You go talk to... Souji-kun."
Yuugi's eyes widened before he gave a genuine grin. Atem had never been one who ran around using honorifics. But he was using one for Souji, and it did something for his mood. He nodded and looked at his clothes, "I need to change first,"
Atem nodded and walked out of the room. He tended to change in the bathroom, anyhow. -----
A few minutes later, Yuugi and Atem had split up on the second floor of the building. Yuugi hesitated at Souji's door, hoping he wouldn't wake the teen. He knocked rythmatically, "Seta-kun?" -----
Atem knocked far harder on Minato's door than Yuugi had on Souji's. So much that down the hall Yuugi had to turn his head to make sure the former Pharaoh was all right. Atem waved away the look and stepped back from the door. -----
Teddie looked up from the news report as he heard the knocking. He stood and looked at where Minato was sleeping. He still seemed to be out. He'd thought he'd heard him stirring with the alarm, but best he could tell the teen had turned it off in his sleep. He ran to the door and opened it, "Oh, hello! You're... um, Atem-kun, right?" ------
Souji was gonna have to answer for Yuugi. Ryoji was still rather out of it.

Souji looked around at the room around him as he heard someone knocking on the door. Yuugi probably. He groaned and mumbled something before walking to the door. It would become very obvious very quickly to Yuugi that Souji was not a morning person.
He opened the door to the apartment and looked down at Yuugi, who looked like he was about to cry. Considering that by some weird stroke of luck, Souji was wearing the same pajamas that he had been the last time Yuugi had awoken him like this... it was a small bit eerie.
"Oh, good morning Yuugi," Souji tried to say cheerfully. The disgruntled look on his face didn't match his tone.

Yuugi hesitated for a moment, but shook his head, "K1-kun's gone... and I think he became King. The COMP's demon related features are all empty... uh, I think the Island has a measure of time travel or something and.. um..." Yuugi was trying to continue to talk so he wouldn't have to dwell on his emotions, "Uh, how's Mochizuki-kun?" -----
Atem nodded at Teddie's inquiry about his name, "Is Minato-kun awake?"
Teddie looked behind him, "MINATO-KUN ARE YOU AWAKE!?"
Atem winced and clamped his hands over his ears. Something told him the blue haired teen was now. -----
Down the hall, Yuugi held up his own hands, but the shout had stopped before he got his ears covered. He winced a bit as he looked towards where Atem was standing. Well, it was a topic change, he supposed...

Souji had figured that was what Yuugi had come to talk to him about. They'd known that K1 and his group would be leaving soon, just not how soon. They'd probably left as soon as it was bright outside. And as for the COMP's demon related features disappearing shortly after he left, that was probably to be expected too. If it was any consolation, which it wasn't, Yuugi probably wouldn't want to see K1 now that he was king. Souji couldn't even imagine what K1 was like now.
When Yuugi brought up Ryoji, Souji looked behind him at where Ryoji was sleeping on the couch. "Still asleep. I'm going to let him sleep for now. So we should be quiet--"
"MINATO-KUN, ARE YOU AWAKE!"
That had been the last straw for Souji, who stuck his head out the door and yelled down at Minato's room, "WELL HE DEFINITELY IS NOW!"
Minato was very awake now, having fallen out of his bed when Teddie yelled. "Gwah!" He rubbed his head. "Ow... dammit Teddie!"

"...cana....mean........vealed... whuuu?" Ryoji mumbled something mostly incomprehensible. Probably would have slept through Teddie's yell, but then Souji gave his response. He grumbled and sat up, attempting to rub the sleep out of his eyes, "Can you keep it down...?"
He paused when he saw Yuugi, "Oh, is it morning...?"
Teddie seemed pretty clueless that it had been his fault Minato had fallen out of bed. Still, he ran over to the blue haired teenager, "Hey, are you okay?"
Atem was sweatdropping. He shook his head and leaned into the door, "Yuugi wanted to see if you were okay... K1 is gone," his face fell a bit as he said this. While he had been rather obvious with his disapproval over K1's recent actions towards K1, he hadn't quite expected it to end like this... like a bandaid. He hoped the sting would fade for Yuugi.. for himself as well... like that analogy.

Souji looked back at Ryoji again. "Sorry." He turned back to Yuugi. "I'm going to go deal with Teddie. Can you fill Ryoji in on the details of everything? I said I would but..." He glared down the hallway. "I have a bear to stuff." He pushed past Yuugi and headed down the hallway toward Minato's apartment.
"...They left, huh?" Minato asked as he picked himself off of the ground. "...Did K1 say anything before he left?"
Souji walked up next to Atem. "Oh. Morning, Atem."
