Felix chuckled. Potatoes... not exactly the first thought he had in his mind, but pretty soon there was a basket with potatoes and a basket with cakes. "Anything else?" he asked with a smile.

Marion cried out happily, taking a potato into hand and munching on it. "Apples, too!"

Felix grinned and made apples. Oh man this was diverting away from the standard picnic ideas, but he didn't mind. He was spending time with his daughter; there was no way in Hell he was going to complain.

Marion smiled brightly, taking one of the apples in her tiny hand and holding it out to Felix. "For you, Mommy!"

Felix smiled and recieved the apple from his beloved daughter. "Thank you," he said to her in a polite manner before taking a bite of it. As expected, it was juicy and sweet.

Marion giggled sweetly, taking an apple of her own and crawling over to settle in Felix's lap with a hum of content.

Felix smiled and let Marion settle in his lap. Both of them definently liked apples, to be sure, and he didn't mind the closeness, nor the warmth the girl offered. She truely was her father's child; her mother's at that two. Both loved the warmth of each other; so too did the girl love the warmth of her mother and father and they loved her warmth as well.

Snuggled up against Felix, Marion softly cooed, "...come home soon... okay, Mommy? Daddy misses you too."

Felix sighed. "I wish I could, but..." He couldn't tell her the truth. There was no way in Hell he could. "... Like I said, Mommy and Daddy need some time to sort things out... And now that we're apart for a while, Mommy has to focus on her work, it's..." He almost said God's will, but a sudden mental revelation hit him. God caused all this. His will caused the death of Masahiro's baby. His will caused their fight. It was all God's fault... all of it, every single bit. "... ... ... it's for the good of the island. There are still meanies that need to be taught a lesson after all and that's mommy's job."

Marion blinked, looking up at Felix curiously. "But... doesn't Daddy fight meanies for the island too?"

"If it's for the good of anyone, I fight them. It depends, though; can't exactly fight for the good of a meanie if they were caught by those who uphold justice," Felix said with a chuckle.

Marion looked at him, not quite understanding what he meant, but she let it go and continued to munch on her apple.
"...will everyone be happy again soon?"

"I can't guarantee it'll be soon, but everyone will be happy someday," Felix said.

Marion frowned a little, but accepted the answer all the same, curling up in Felix's lap.

Felix smiled and let her curl up there, holding her close. "There's no need to worry... I'll always be here."
