Mounatin Romp (me, DCH and Gantz)

A towering bipedal blue gator, a Feraligatr, was reading a book, clearly relaxed. His companion, a fairly tall red chicken, a Blaziken, paced about, trying to burn off his energy. The gator, Miles, turned to the chicken, Volcano, marking his place with a bookmark before turning to face him. "Volcano, now what are you doing?"

Volcano looked at Miles, slowing his pace down to a jog. "Trying to burn off my energy. Maybe then I can relax." the alligator-like Pokemon facepalmed, then looked up to see that the chicken seemed to be looking out at the horizon.

"What do you see now? I swear, if it's that Vulpix illusion again, I'm taking you straight to the professionals."

Volcano shook his head. "No, it's not that... It looks a bit like Tua or Mheetu... Judging by the color, it's probably Tua... And what is that thing behind her? It looks like an overgrown Rhyperior... Well, it's obvious that she isn't afraid of it, or she's lost in her mind again."

It was a simple mission it seemed, go to the next world over after saving that other one and look for any more trouble. He could still remember that weird bang of light, a weird feeling like being sucked into a vacuum, and him being seperated from his friends. He could still hear them yelling to him as that happened...

Now here he was, a tiny wisp floating around without a care in the world. After a few seconds, the thing seemed to land on the ground not too far off of where Volcano and Miles currently was...

There came a bright flash, before all appeared to return to peace.

In the center of where the light had landed, a young man stood his face trained to the sky, and his body appearing to be frozen... ... ...

A twitch in movement from his fingers came and soon the man opened his eyes, coming alive once again.

Enn looked around, almost looking curious had it not been for his perpetually serious expression. Glancing at his hand, clenching it into a fist, the undead hero looked up...

He was possibly confused to see an oversized chicken and a bipedal gator not too far off.

"?" Untalking, but raising an eyebrow, he started walking forward, deciding to check it out.

Not that far behind Tua, Kaz was still keeping up with her. He was still in the form of one of his UnderWorld characters, Rothar and was still powered up with Mugic. After leaving the bar back in the city, they were now approaching the mountain, where they would meet Tua's friends, Miles and Volcano.

"Hey, Tua. Is that the place up there?" Kaz asked as they neared the location.

Tua looked back behind her, nodding. "Yep! Miles is the blue one and Volcano's the red one!" she skid to a halt, nearly ramming into the blue gator, who, along with the red chicken, seemed to be looking at Kaz. Volcano broke the silence.

"Tua, what is that... thing?"

The Luxio giggled. "That's Kaz! He can turn into monsters! I met him down at the abandoned club! And don't worry... he doesn't even know what a Pokemon is."

All seemed quiet as Enn slowly made his way to Volcano and Miles, hoping not to catch their attention. Now that he was closer, he could get a better look at them. They appeared pretty tough, but were they a threat? They didn't appear very hostile...

Well, okay, they did, but it was more the chicken for his impatient pacing, then Miles whom sat quietly nearby, putting away a book as something appeared to catch it's attention. Oh and another thing? Enn didn't appear to understand them when they spoke, to him, they were speaking a whole other language that he had not yet heard before. Keeping himself out of eye-sight, he continued to watch the scene as two more people appeared.

If only he could understand them... ... ...

As Tua was talking, view of Kaz was once again obscured by a short flash of code. Afterwards, Kaz was back to normal.

"Rothar isn't even the freakiest creature in my deck." Kaz said. "Anyway, it's nice to meet you both."

Tua looked at Kaz, then at her friends. "Miles and Volcano, this is what Kaz really looks like."

The gator and the chicken went up to him, the gator with confidence and the chicken with hesitation. Miles looked at Kaz, clearly towering over him. "Pleased to meet you." he extended his hand, claws gleaming. "Don't worry, I don't eat humans."

"That's good to know. And you're pretty big too, by the way." Kaz remarked, shaking his hand. "Um, by the way, Tua and I came across something at the bar that we'd like you to look at."

"What is it?" he asked, as Tua took the map out of her sack and nudged his leg, getting his attention. Miles kneeled down and took the map from her mouth, then unrolled it. His eyes scanned the ancient text, muttering to himself. "Hmm... ancient artifacts... four relics... sixteen shards that control them to an extent... where they are..."

Volcano, meanwhile, looked down at Kaz. "... You can understand our speech. Not many humans can do that. Don't expect me to talk much, though." he then turned away.

Tua looked at Kaz, embarrassed by her Blaziken friend's behavior. "Don't be offended, he's always this way around people he doesn't know well."

Enn looked at the piece of paper that Tua carried, looking moderately curious... Though his face remained as flat as ever. What was on it? What were these... Weird things talking about?

Most of all, what should he do? He usually only acted on orders anyways.

Thinking, he tried to make sense of what little he could understand of it all. That paper was important for some reason or another. But just what?

There was the clattering of a tiny pebbled against a rock as he tried to hide behind the rock. The undead warrior would've cursed at this if he could talk.

He's not winning any nice guy awards anytime soon. Kaz thought about Volcano.

"It's okay. In Perim, there are a lot who aren't that nice when you first meet them." He said to Tua, not noticing the clattering behind him.

Tua was equally ignorant to the clattering as well. "I guess every race has its good people and bad people, and it looks like Volcano here is one of those not-so-nice guys."

Miles had finished examining the map, and looked up at the mountain. "... Its says that there is one of the shards higher up on the mountain, in a secret cave."

.................................. Enn remained perfectly still a moment, before he realized that the creatures had missed the clattering pebble. The lack of approaching footsteps helped with that. As he continued to listen in, he tried listening mostly for Tua since he couldn't understand the others. Slowly, he peeked his head out from behind the rock. Stealth missions were never really his thing, but he was making do.

"So there's climbing involved?" Kaz said taking out his scanner. "'Cause I don't see a path anywhere."

Miles turned to look at the tall mountain, grinning a little. "Guess we'll have to make due! We'll carve our own trail as we go along!" he went up to the start of the mountain, and then dug his head into the rock. "Nyyyghhhh... Haa!" he said as he started to dig a path through the stones.

Tua looked around. "I could have sworn I heard something... Nah, I'm probably just imagining things. That Salac Smoothie did taste rather funny..."
