(Lol, are you serious? Blah, I didn't play it either, I just discovered Giygas was his own meme on YouTube after people finally found out about Earthbound thank to Super Smash Bros. and... well I don't know about Mother 1, but Mothers 2 (Earthbound) and 3 (where Lucas is from) require you to put in the player name. In Earthbound's case... it's because people praying for the safety of Ness and his friends are the ones damaging Giygas and slowly killing him. The final blows are delivered by the prayers... of the player.
THAT'S RIGHT! MY PRAYING DESTROYED GIYGAS! NOW I'M THE EMBODIMENT OF EVIL! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Double D's shock allowed the key to float from him without detection. In space, a figure floated. The key floated above his palm, but did not make contact with the flesh. He knew if it did, it would not respond well. He smirked softly. "So much power from my good side... had I given him anymore, he would've become the Angel of Darkness... oh well. Star wins for now. And as much as it pains me to do this..." Michael turned to face the throne of Heaven, shimmering down from his position in the stars. "I have to release you so that you can control your subject once Double D destroys the darkness. From there on, things will be... forever interesting." With a swipe of his hand, the key shot itsself into the lock of God's secret prison as Double D made to strike the darkness. It turned... and began to open.

The sword pierced through the darkness and light began to flood from the impersonator. "Wh-WHAT?! NO! HOW CAN THIS... AH! ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!" The darkness shattered into a million pieces as the rogue angel returned, crumpled to his knees at the loss of power.
"Nnnnnnnnnnn DAMN YOU!" The angel jumped up, lunging to choke Double D, when a sudden slam of power crushed him into the... ground... sure...

Double D took a step back, watching the angel crumple pathetically to his knees. He frowned, briefly regarding him with nothing but pity.
Then, his sowrd disappeared, and he swayed gently before falling back into Felix's arms, exhausted from the entire ordeal.

It shook with emotion; his weak state had opened his aura-reading door, and he was once again overwhelmed by the darkness coating the land of Heaven. "Please... restore this place first... your subjects have suffered so much... please...!"

God looked at Edward and nodded. Spreading his arms, light engulfed the entirity of Heaven. Black clouds turned white again, the skies became blue, and those souls who had been encaged in crowded suffering flew once again as the bars holding them broke. "It... is done," he said to Edward. "The Kingdom of Salvation, Heaven, is reformed."

Remembering whose arms he rested in, he heaved his eyes open again, half-mast, as he directed his smile up to Felix. His dear that he thought he would never see again.

"I...I understand." Double D huddled into Felix's embrace needingly. "I...I miss you so much, Felix...every day I wake up without you beside me, I..." He began to tremble, letting out a sob. "I'm so sorry...if only I hadn't forced the fight, I-I wouldn't have broken your heart like that...!" He held Felix tighter, burying his tears in his beloved's shirt. "I'm so sorry..!"
