Minato knew Ryoji was probably talking to Nyx. It was pretty much a fact that extended silences from either of the avatars among their group as because they were talking to the god or goddess they were the avatar of. He stayed silent and let Ryoji talk to Nyx.
He was a little confused when Ryoji's eyes suddenly widened at something Minato couldn't hear. Nyx had obviously said or done something surprising to Ryoji, but Minato didn't know what it was. When Ryoji finally refocused on him after his eyes had widened, Minato knew they'd finished talking.
"Yeah?" Minato asked. He wasn't sure what Ryoji was referring to with his statement. There were quite a few things Ryoji hadn't given him a proper answer for today. But it looked like Ryoji was going to answer something. Whatever that conversation with Nyx had been about had convinced him or given him or something the proper answer for one of those questions.
----------------
Souji shook his head at Yuugi's question. No, Yuugi hadn't said something wrong. He and Izanagi just needed time to talk things out, that was all.
He looked toward Atem when he asked his question and slowly nodded. "...Yeah. Izanagi says that he'll try to work with me the best he can. And that he's not going to force me out of this body, too." He didn't feel like restating the rest of the conversation to Atem and Yuugi.

Ryoji looked a bit nervous. He'd never given him a proper answer. It wasn't like they didn't both know, despite Minato being the only one to say. If the feelings hadn't been shared, that kiss earlier would have been more than a bit problematic. But he hadn't said, and Minato deserved that much. Ryoji tugged on his scarf a bit, still looking at Minato. He should probably be grateful he was more articulate than Yuugi seemed to be.
"Minato..." Ryoji took a deep breath, "I love you, too."
If he looked as exposed as he felt over saying that, he knew he probably looked pathetic. It wasn't like he didn't know the feelings were returned. Or that Minato knew he felt the same way. And maybe there was something to be said for it not needing to be said outright. But Minato had said it, it wasn't fair to make him be the only one. Ryoji would have preferred to side step it rather than saying it straight out, but again, Minato had taken the risk. It was only fair to return the effort, even with it lessened by being the second one to say it.
---------- Yuugi looked relieved, and happy. It was hard to tell which emotion he felt more, they seemed to be competing with each other. He gave a huge grin. Atem let out a breath. He hadn't been holding any, but he had been breathing more shallow than he realized. Yuugi had pulled it off. He gave a smile. More muted than Yuugi's, but still a bit wider than usual for the former Pharaoh.
"I'm glad..." Yuugi said.
"Souji-kun, you should head to bed, though. I doubt its that easy to recover from a headache, and even if it was caused by the mind, the body tends to follow," Atem stated, implying from his own knowledge that even another consciousness could only push a body so far.

Minato had not been expecting that. He had not been expecting that at all. But it wasn't something he was rejecting. Hell, he'd been the one who said it first. He gave a small smile, and looked toward Ryoji. Ryoji looked as nervous as ever right now, but anything was better than resigned depression.
"...Thank you," Minato said. He had to wonder what had happened in Ryoji's conversation with Nyx that had prompted him to say this. But that wasn't that important. They both knew they liked each other, but it was only now that they had both confirmed that.
He found his hand reaching toward the one Ryoji had on his scarf. He didn't stop it from wrapping around Ryoji's hand and pulling it away from the long piece of cloth around Ryoji's neck. Minato gave a soft smile.
------------------
Souji nodded to Atem. He still wasn't sure why Izanagi had done that, but his best guess was that he wanted Souji to get out of the room, considering the direction the conversation had turned, but now wasn't the time to ask him. His head was still throbbing.
"Yeah. Wake me up if anything bad happens, alright?" Souji asked. He started heading back toward his apartment. He'd been spending more time in bed than out these past few days.
Now that he thought about it, he needed to check on Teddie. With how chaotic the morning had been, he'd forgotten to.

Ryoji stopped fidgeting with the scarf when Minato thanked him. He returned the smile. He doubted S.E.E.S would recognize him as any version of Ryoji in personality. He was more withdrawn than Ryoji before reganing Death's memories. He was different than Ryoji post-memories as well, although he knew he probably leaned towards how he was that night he'd informed the group of The Fall. It was different, though. He had the memories and he was fighting against what he was trying to convince himself wasn't inevitable. Something to be said for natural reactions to the world around oneself. Ryoji looked confused for a moment as Minato reached for his hand. He didn't move it when Minato took it and pulled it close. He returned the smile. Minato was probably to thank for not being at Tartarus right now. Not just by being there, but by being there. He'd told Nyx he knew it was possible it really was inevitable, but she had actually suppressed herself. For a "moment". She had criticized him about love, so maybe she really did have some empathy. Ryoji wasn't unaware of the relationship the Nyx and Erebus of myth shared, after all. He took a step closer to Minato so he wouldn't have to reach as much. He was wall aware it put them even closer. It wasn't impossible it was going too fast, but they didn't have all the time in the world. Not for sure. And even if they had, Ryoji didn't mind this right now. He'd looked at his hand, but he looked back at Minato now. This time he was sure both Nyx and Izanagi weren't present. Was Minato just holding his hand now, or...? ---------- Yuugi nodded. It had worked. He was convinced Souji was going to be okay now. Yuugi knew he doubted himself a lot, that was par for the course when you did so. But that situation had been really tense. If he had done something really wrong, Souji might have been lost then and there. He walked with Souji due to the layout of the hall and the direction of his apartment. Atem followed after the group. He was relieved as well. He hadn't forgotten what he said to Yuugi about the deck, but he supposed it could wait until tomorrow. He didn't want to spoil Yuugi's good mood right now. (OOC: Standard disclaimer for the first part. XD PMs exist if it goes to far. )

Minato had been looking down at their hands at about the same time Ryoji had been. When he looked up and their eyes once again met, he finally made his decision. He stepped closer to Ryoji, broke the hold he had on Ryoji's hand, and then embraced Ryoji, this time leaving Ryoji's arms free so it wasn't as suffocating. There were tears rolling down his face, but he was still smiling.
"Sorry, I'm just so happy right now..." Minato said. It had been a stupid worry, but he had thought Ryoji was never going to say those words. Maybe things were moving too fast. Well, it wasn't like they had all of the time in the world anymore. He was going to make the most of these moments while he could.
He tightened the embrace as he thought that, sending it right back into suffocating territory, but he didn't seem to realize that.
---------------
Souji looked back toward Yuugi and Atem and smiled again before heading into his apartment. Damn, he really needed some painkillers or something.
What were those headaches about anyways? Souji asked. Izanagi sighed.
We were being watched by that demon that unsettles you so much. Still are, I think, Izanagi said.
Abel, Souji growled. Dammit, he's pissing me off. He walked over to the TV and frowned at it for a moment before sticking his head in.
"Hey, Teddie, you there?" Souji called. He wasn't wearing his glasses, so he couldn't see much in the other side, even with his better than average vision in there.

(OOC: FF has informed me we won't need to use PMs. But yeah, use discretion when reading this. XD)
Ryoji had let the embrace happen, pulling his arms back to help the motion. He noticed the tears on Minato's face, and he tensed up. He wasn't sure what had gone wrong, but he relaxed as soon as Minato spoke. He wasn't sure why Minato was that happy. Had his not answering really worried him that much? He hadn't expected a simple embrace, let alone tears though.
Then Minato tightened the embrace. Ryoji had to focus on breathing now, but he was back to not caring. Minato really was physically stronger than he looked, though. The blue haired teenager's palms were open, so he could feel them covering his upper back. Ryoji hesitated for a moment before putting his own arms around Minato. Because of the angle, it was easier to just wrap them around the back of Minato's neck. His hands reached Minato's own upper back from the top, while Minato's reached his from the bottom.
He'd reached his cheeks getting hot again. He was sure he was blushing, but he didn't care. Rather, he didn't really feel all that embarassed. His pulse had quickened though, so he would have attributed it to that if his mind had been in logic mode. He rested his head on Minato's right shoulder, letting the fabric conform to the pressure and curves of his face.
Warm... Ryoji thought to himself, a smile being hidden by his face against the shirt.
----------
Atem and Yuugi returned the look and turned after Souji closed the door. Nyarlathotep both heard the footseps and felt the Pendant. He headed up the stairs, using one of the doors to get onto the emergency exit. He'd wait for the two teenagers to pass before he headed back out. He still had things to check on, after all. Abel had heavily implied he was to keep a constant eye on the group.
----------
Souji received no response to his inquiry.

Minato loosened up, just a small bit, when Ryoji embraced him back. He didn't want to let go. Didn't think he'd be letting go anytime soon, either. It was just one of those moments where one never wanted to let go, though this was definitely a happier one than the last time they'd had one of those moments, at least to Minato. For some reason he couldn't pinpoint (the reading Ryoji had done a few minutes previously, maybe?), Minato was feeling a bit more hopeful about things. It didn't change that if things didn't change, they were all going to die, but still...
He had to smile a little bit more when Ryoji rested his head on his shoulder. Minato's own cheeks were starting to get red as more time passed, for no discernable reason to him. After all, he didn't feel embarrassed. He didn't do anything to make Ryoji shift positions, and as such, they sat there, motionless, for a few minutes. Minutes, moments, Minato wasn't keeping track. It felt more like time had stopped.
Minato finally spoke. "...What are we going to do from here, Ryoji?" The question could be taken a number of ways.
----------------
Souji scowled as he got no response, and finally pulled his head out of the TV. He felt rather stupid doing that. He winced as he started feeling dizzy again.
Izanagi--
I'm not enducing that. Atem was correct, you need sleep, Izanagi said. Souji sighed and walked to his bedroom. The door was still open, and his bed wasn't made. Souji didn't bother pulling any covers over him and just flopped on top of the bed. He was really tired.

Ryoji lifted his head when Minato spoke. He rubbed a bit of lint of the side of his face with his upper arm. It was a way to handle it without letting go. What were they going to do? He wasn't sure what Minato meant. There were several ways that could be taken. He decided to go with what was the most prominent. He sighed.
"I don't know. If it can be stopped, I think I'm going to have to be involved somehow. Nyx still thinks it can't be," Ryoji loosened his half of the embrace, pulling back a bit and looking worried "And I just don't know. What did S.E.E.S do during that January after deciding to fight?"
Always back to real life. To serious crap he honestly wanted nothing to do with. Well, it would be coming up even if their lives were anywhere near "normal". It didn't really matter if he was a Shadow or not. This form was human, this form was male. Japan was only tolerant of stuff like that in media, they made America look downright tolerant of... well, of this. He pulled his arms out of the embrace, chastising himself mentally.
Way to kill the moment... he thought to himself.

Minato sighed. He got the feeling he'd probably killed the moment with that question. It was a bit too late now, though. He let Ryoji pull out of the embrace without resisting, and his arms fell to his side.
"Not much, really... I spent most of that month hanging out with Aigis once she came back, but other than that, we really didn't do much," Minato said. Most of that month had been spent trying to enjoy what little time they had left. As they started getting close to the date of the Fall, they'd even stopped going to Tartarus.
The moment was pretty much dead, so Minato looked over at the kitchen. "I'll go make us breakfast," he said before walking toward the kitchen. Okay, so it would be rice, and plain rice at that, but it had been a while since he'd gone grocery shopping.

Ryoji sighed. So that was no help. He didn't like the idea of willingly going to Tartarus, either. He looked in the direction of the city's major hotel. It was possible Minato wouldn't realize this. It looked more like he was looking at the door. Ryoji couldn't have told you the hotel was that way on his own, but the pull was clear enough. Even during the day, Tartarus called. He really didn't like the idea of going there willingly. He wasn't sure he'd be able to leave.
He was convinced that if it was going to be stopped, it would be because of something he did. Not that he knew what, and Nyx was completely useless for that. She'd just insist he didn't have a choice, and Ryoji was enjoying the lack of presence. He didn't plan on calling her for at least a day. He looked back towards Minato as he spoke, his face blank for a few minutes.
"Oh... right. Thanks," he said, more to let Minato know he'd head him.
He'd hoped they'd done something. Minato said they hadn't. Time with Aigis, huh? He'd almost killed her that time he woke up. Killed being the proper word. No matter how much she didn't want to accept it, she was as alive as any of the others. Death hadn't been lying when it said she would die one day. He walked over to the table and began gathering the cards. He wanted to try and fight, but he didn't know how.

Much later that night, Adachi returned to the apartments. There had been a fair amount of chaos at the station that day. Four kids had been found paralyzed and in various conditions. One was found dead. Cute kid, too. Or at least she'd probably been before her heart had stopped. There was evidence they'd all been poisoned.
Of course, this meant that Takahashi had been bearing down on Adachi like crazy. Because Takahashi knew that Adachi had stolen that vial. That he'd given it to that white-haired kid, the same one that had kidnapped Seta, who had been paralyzed when Takahashi found him as well. Takahashi was catching onto things much too quickly. Adachi knew he needed to get rid of Takahashi soon, but it was a matter of getting Takahashi alone in a room with a big enough TV. Takahashi, after all, was a large man.
Adachi stopped once he hit the second landing. Standing there, looking out at the moon, was the Seta kid. Adachi jumped pretty darn high when he saw Souji there, causing him to drop all of his files on the floor. Souji blinked at Adachi.
"...Adachi," he stated. It wasn't flat, like it usually was. Adachi, who was scrambling to pick up the files and the papers that had fallen out of them, looked up at Souji again.
"...oh, it's you. What are you doing up this late?" Adachi asked.
"I've spent most of the day sleeping," Souji said. He bent down and picked up a file that had slid his way and began leafing through it. Adachi's eyes widened when he realized what file it was. Oh shit. He knew the Seta kid had a bad temper when it came to certain subjects. And that file would hit on one of those subjects.
Souji's eyes widened. An eight-year old Japanese girl. Brown hair. Deceased. Heart stopped as a result of a full body paralysis. Traces of an unknown poison found in her system. He dropped the folder, and then grabbed Adachi by his tie.
"You better have a damn good explanation for this one, Adachi!" Souji growled.
"I-I..."
"You put him up to this, didn't you?! You just love seeing dead little kids so damn much, don't you?! But I guess since there wasn't a Nanako for you to kill, you got a substitute!" Souji got a tighter grip on Adachi's tie; the bastard was trying to wiggle away. "And don't try to feed me any bull about how you're not involved, Bakura fucking lives with you, and it's that little bastard that lives in the Ring that's going around poisoning people like this. And I know because he poisoned me the exact same way!"
"I-I don't know anything about what he's doing..." Adachi coughed out. Souji had a rather tight grip on his tie. Tight in that the way he was holding it meant he was pulling it even tighter against his throat.
"Bullcrap!"
Souji kicked Adachi into a wall, causing the floor to shake.
"You know exactly what's going on! You're working with him! Tell me what the hell's going on!" Souji snarled.
Souji, that's enough, Izanagi said.
He's lying to us again! He's trying to get away with murder, and I'm not going to let him do that! Souji shot back.
Souji, don't make me have to take control to stop you, Izanagi said softly.
Adachi didn't know why Souji suddenly wasn't focusing on him, but he wasn't going to pass up this opportunity. He scrambled to his feet, grabbed the folders he'd dropped when Souji kicked him into the wall, and ran for it. He always knew the Seta kid was a grade-A psycho. Here was the ultimate proof. Honestly, he was wondering how he'd stayed calm enough to not kill Namatame after Nanako nearly died after this little incident.
He slammed the door behind him, and got to work locking all of the locks. Once the fifth one was finally locked, he sighed. And then Adachi's expression fell as he realized the apartment was empty. Anpu was still gone somewhere. Out testing that poison, probably. Adachi didn't know if Takahashi had noticed this, considering his limited interactions with Seta's group, but Adachi had noticed that all of the victims were of around Yuugi's body type. This... was probably why Bakura had asked him to keep an eye on Atem. Anpu was planning on kidnapping Yuugi. Most likely torturing him.
Adachi collapsed onto the couch in a sitting position. He'd have to get rid of Takahashi tomorrow. He couldn't hold it off any longer.

Nyarlathotep was outside on the fire escape. It had taken him a few minutes to figure out the blindspot for people who looked outside from the buildilng, but he'd found it. His angle had allowed him to see the Persona user he'd heard called Adachi approaching the building. The man had been overloaded with files, and Nyarlathotep had chosen to ignore it. Souji was staring off into space just inside. He almost wanted to be caught, just so he could harass someone. This was rather boring.
A few minutes later, Souji had started yelling. It was psychotic. Nyarlathotep couldn't help but grin when he came up with it being similar to Abel when they'd found his twin crucified. Abel was no longer capable of the normal speak that Souji tended to have, but the contrast of normal to enraged was the exact same. Someone had found a sore point for the silver haired teenager, an considering the environment, likely Adachi.
The demon moved up the fire escape stairs a bit. Even he winced when the wall shook. He came off the escape so that he was in the air. He managed to angle himself in time to see Adachi running off. He'd focused well enough to hear most of the conversation. Well, Abel had been convinced Souji was dangerous. Nyarlathotep was sure the King would consider this proof. The demon went to move when he paused. He turned towards a nearby alley, his general makeup granting him eyesight better than a cat's or wolf's. He smirked and used the shadows to conceal himself. Wasn't that interesting?
----------
Coming out of the alley was a white haired teenager. Anyone that knew them would realize it was Anpu. Anpu with a change of clothes, to be precise. Anpu was looking at the outfit with a frown. He'd had to stick to a style similar enough to what his host preferred to pass. Not that he thought he could convince the Pharaoh and his boyfriend, but there was something to be said for appearances. His shirt was striped with black and grey. He had on dark blue jeans, they were obviously new. Dark blue tennis shoes with black soles, they closed with velcro straps.
The Ring was still on a rope. It hung underneath the shirt. Over the entire outfit was a black trenchcoat. It wasn't the one he had been wearing before. No one would think it as such, either. Considering his host had arrived on the Island wearing something like this, he doubted it woudl raise much in the way of eyebrows. Those that knew what he'd worn in Egypt would likely get a kick out of it. Wide sleeves, a hood, and a splayed bottom. The hood was a bit different in that it had string coming out at the collar, but the comparison was there.
The day had gone well enough. He'd been keeping an eye on police activity, they'd found four of the victims. The only one that had died, as well. He suspected Adachi would have something to say about htat. The man was, after all, a police officer. Well, he still had Bakura hostage. Even with what he'd told Adachi, he doubted he'd be able to stay much longer. Not only that, but the Thief King was well aware of something. If it came to it, Adachi would attempt to kill him by killing Bakura. Anpu hoped he'd be able to stay in the Apartments long enough to take care of the Pharaoh, but time was running short.
His ear almost twitched as Adachi was slammed into the wall. He narrowed his eyes, looking towards the dimly lit apartments. A fight? Anpu approached the building more slowly, avoiding walking in the pools of light the streetlights put out. Bakura was still fully suppressed. Anpu had pushed him down, and while if the teenager insisted on surfacing he probably could, Anpu had been lucky and he hadn't. So his host only had the vaguest ideas of what was going on. He'd be at the Apartments in five minutes at the most. He had a bad feeling, and over the years he had learned to listen to those.
----------
Ryoji jerked his head to the side as he heard the impact. He wasn't sure what it was. With the group's track record, it could be one of them. He tapped on the bathroom door.
"Minato, did you hear that?"
----------
"-ind Kaiba-kun."
"He can take care of himse-"
*THUD*
Atem and Yuugi both turned their heads to the door. That had been pretty loud...

"...Yeah," Minato said from inside the bathroom. There was a flush, a sound of running water, and then Minato, hastily wiping his hands off on his clothes, opened the door. "That was pretty loud. Sounded like it came from further down the hall, too."
---------------------
Souji took a few deep breaths. The bastard had run off while he was talking to Izanagi. He hadn't gotten the chance to beat the truth out of him, either.
Don't talk to me, Souji growled.
You were about ready to kill that man, Souji, Izanagi said.
He got away because you were talking to me, Souji said back. He still had the file he'd picked up before. Adachi hadn't bothered grabbing that one. He was grasping the file rather tightly, and his other hand was still curled into a fist.
Souji, I think you might need some time to cool down, Izanagi said. He started trying to switch dominance with Souji, but found himself blocked. Souji had expected him to try that. Souji didn't say anything back to him this time, but he went back to looking out at the moon.
"...The next time I see him, I'm going to rip his throat out," Souji said to no one. As far as he knew, the only people that could hear him were himself, Izanagi, and that demon Izanagi was sure was eavesdropping on them. Probably was eavesdropping on him now.

Anpu had stopped at the base of the stairs. The sound his foot made against the concrete porch shifted, and he stopped. There was a piece of paper there. He lifted it up, staring at the foreign markings for a few moments. It was still hard to pull on his host's knowledge enough to read them. He narrowed his eyes once he got the bottom.
Droppiong something like this...? Adachi, you're a bigger fool than I thought, Anpu's expression changed into a scowl as he folded the paper up and stuck it in a pocket of his jeans. It was one page of what was obviously a longer report, but it made a few things clear. Adachi had been assigned paperwork involving the incidents today. Only four had been found, he'd been right about that. He would have smirked if the bad feeling wasn't there. Four. He'd paralyzed more, but he supposed he'd gotten the other kids to keep quiet with his threats.
He opened the door to the building and headed to the stairs. He kept Ryou suppressed and carefully looked up the stairs. He could see Souji there, staring out a window blankly. He pulled back. Shit, he couldn't go up the stairs like this. Souji hated him. There was a file folder in Souji's hands, Anpu could piece info together thanks to having found a single page from one. Souji had likely flipped on Adachi, who didn't appear to be there. So Adachi had gotten away. He crossed his arms and thought for a moment.
He couldn't just go up the stairs as he was. There was the option of switching with Ryou. The teenager didn't know anything that had happened that day, and wasn't the type to keep it hidden if questioned. He might not say it right out, but he'd drop hints. And if Souji really was murderous, Ryou could be in trouble. The teen had asked him once how long he thought it would take him to find another host. Could be millenia, he had to admit. Maybe he wouldn't die, but he'd be trapped. Either way had risks. He put his hand in the jeans pocket and pushed the file page down further.
"Ryou, wake up."
He sensed the teenager's presence manifest next to him. He looked surprised. Disorientated to. And the light level outside was far darker than he'd last seen it as. Anpu waited for Ryou to get a hold of his surroundings. He turned to the teenager as he spoke.
"What do you want," Bakura said. He wasn't making eye contact.
"Head back to the apartment. Adachi is probably worried about you."
"Wait, wh-"
"-at?"
Bakura jumped. His own voice had startled him. He looked around and didn't see anyone. He held up his arms. The weight of the trenchcoat he was wearing was different. He looked down at his outfit. Anpu had gone shopping? The teenager closed his eyes. No, he'd probably stolen this. Bakura grabbed the Ring and pulled it out from under the shirt. Anpu had at least paid some attention to his preferred styles, although he didn't like the color choices. The prongs of the Ring chimed together as he pulled it out. Since when did Anpu care about Adachi? He turned the corner and stopped.
"Seta-san, is that you...?"
Bakura had no way of knowing certain things. Anpu had kept him suppressed. So he couldn't possibly know that Souji was having a bad moment. One aimed at two people, and Bakura owned the body the second one used. It was hard to see in the hall so Bakura took a couple of steps forward. He was speaking as Bakura. Then again, while Souji had never had confirmation that Anpu could mirror Bakura's mannerisms, there were some heavy implications...
----------
Ryoji looked concerned. He'd actually hoped he'd imagined it. He nodded as Minato indicated where it sounded like it came from. He turned towards the door. He didn't really want to go out, but it could be something problematic. It was getting on really late, too. Just past eleven if the clock on the wall was right. He looked back to Minato.
He sighed, "Should we check on it?"
It could be nothing. They couldn't be the only people in this complex who got into trouble. Then again, Ryoji had heard a door slam. And there'd been some yelling. Yelling that could have been Souji...
----------
"Atem, I'm going to check it out..." Yuugi said.
"Partner, wait."
Yuugi stopped. He turned towards Atem and saw the former Pharaoh had flipped open his Deck. He pulled quite a few cards out and handed them to Yuugi. All monster cards, all level four and lower. Yuugi looked up, confused.
"What's this...?"
"There's a theory I have regarding the cards in this world. If I'm proven wrong, you'll need to summon one of those."
"It's not like we're gonna have to fight!" Yuugi felt bad over saying that as he saw Atem's serious face.
"There's no guarantee. Grab the sword too, just in case."
Yuugi wanted to argue, but let it drop. The former Pharaoh tended to have an instinct about this kind of thing. The two teenagers headed out of the apartment and went towards the stairs. They'd reach them about a minute after Bakura said Souji's name.

Minato nodded. "I'm worried. I know we're not the only ones on this floor, but considering events lately..." He didn't think he needed to say any more. Without waiting for Ryoji, he walked out of the front door. Besides him and Ryoji, there were Souji, Adachi, and Anpu. Souji disliked the latter two, which was putting it mildly. And Adachi would probably be getting back from work about now. If something happened, Souji was probably involved.
Dammit, Souji, can't you stay out of trouble for two minutes? Minato thought to himself. He was pretty sure Souji was involved now; he was pretty sure he'd heard Souji's voice before that loud thump earlier.
----------------
Souji had jumped at Bakura's voice. It was a voice he didn't want to hear right now, considering the mood he was in. Adachi was bad enough, and now the culprit was right behind him. Adachi obviously hadn't known Anpu was coming home, considering how he'd been acting the whole time. Or maybe he had and had just been trying to protect Anpu. Adachi seemed amazingly attached to Bakura. No, he was probably just working with Anpu.
Souji took a moment to turn around, and he glared at Bakura for a moment before realizing that it couldn't be Anpu standing there. The stance was wrong. And now that he thought about it, Bakura had called him Seta-san.
I'm glad to see you've calmed down enough to realize that fact before you berserked on Bakura too, Izanagi said. Souji flinched.
Don't put it like that... Souji said back. "Oh, yeah, sorry. I couldn't sleep." He tucked the folder further under his arm. He suddenly thought of something and narrowed his eyes. "That is you, right, Bakura?"
