(OOC: Alright, the appearance copying is fine but he can't copy the abilities of the scythe. Not that it's, y'know, important with no allies to use as power boost fodder. XD)
Magus' eyes widened at the speed in which his opponent moved. It wasn't an undead of any sort, he could tell that. Had he been in his own world, he would have passed it off as a Mystic despite being so damn human looking. Magus saw the man shift angles and relied on what of his body language he could read. He managed to turn just in time to bring his own scythe up in a shielding manner.
The backward force propelled Magus up against a side wall. Once that force was absorbed he began to push back. He found his strength being at least matched as their blades pushed against each other. Well, physical fighting wasn't his strong point, after all. He snarled at the man that had walked into his room, revealing his fangs.
"What do you expect for charging into a room unannounced?"
-----
"That is quite the pity. Ghosts are not so easily, slain, child. As for myself... I do believe I am insulted for being considered as lowly as a ghost."
He was almost chuckling around the time Tara began to "think out loud". He narrowed his gaze towards Tara but kept his amused smirk. She'd feel an overwhelming chill pulling at her. Not so much her as her presence, or her soul if she believed in that kind of thing. Her metaphysical self, in other words. There was, in fact, a ghost trying to possess her. The wizard didn't really care if she fought it off, it was in fact somewhat likely. However, either way it would throw off her aim with the weapon. At best they'd miss the man. At worst... Tara wouldn't be in control of her own actions.
Lucca might have blown her cover and let out a sigh of relief when her finger tips curled around something in her bag. She jerked at the hold the man had at her. It tightened and she felt her airflow constrict, but it had been enough for him to think she was still fighting. She was concerned about the group, especially with the way they didn't seem to realize how much trouble they were in. She just wanted them to run a distraction... or that boy to cast another spell, but she didn't think he was capable.
Those that could see her left hand in the darkness would realize she had carefully positioned a glass tube or vial in it. Two fingers hooked around what seemed like a pin of sorts and she tugged on it. At first nothing happened, but with a stronger second tug the pin came out and the vial now had a noticable crack in it. Any in the group familiar with nitroglycerin technology would realize that the liquid inside had a very vague resemblance to it. She wriggled in the man's grasp. She'd only have one shot to toss this, and if her aim was bad the man wouldn't be the only one caught up in the explosion...

Ion blinked at the potatos that had missed the man. He also blinked at what he could barely see in Lucca's hand. That looked almost like fontech... if he recalled correctly, a rather explosive kind of fontech used in demolitions. He took a couple steps back, and stumbled a bit as he did so. He shouldn't have used that powerful of a fonic arte; he wasn't strong enough for that.
Ellie's gaze had wandered to whatever was in Lucca's hand. If she remembered right, Lucca could use bombs. And didn't bombs count as magical damage? Obviously, this wasn't a game, so they needed to get the hell away from it before it exploded, but that would hopefully take care of it. And if it didn't, Lucca was a magic user. Ellie gripped Ion's staff tighter.
"Fine! Phantom, Boo, The Artist Formerly Known as Sir Ghost, whatever!" Ellie said loudly. She suddenly flung Ion's staff at the ghost, throwing it much like a spear. "GO, MAGICAL FONIC STAFF THING THAT WAS NEVER IN THE GAME!"
If she was right, the magical qualities of the staff could still hurt this guy. If not, it could distract him so Lucca could use her explosive.
Ion's eyes widened as Ellie tossed his staff. That was an artifact of the Dawn Age, and she had just thrown it at the ghost like a rock. Some of Ellie's thought processes baffled him.

Alex wasn't too shocked that his attack had been blocked; the Blade wasn't his fastest weapon, but it usually dealt the most damage. The sound of metal clanging together echoed throughout the cavernous room, and he could have sworn that he saw a spark or two light up their faces. However, his momentary upper hand of pushing the creature against the wall was soon reduced to a tie of strength. They were both pushing on their blades with neither gaining any ground, both bodies and weapons vibrating with the amount of force being exerted upon them. Alex grunted, baring his own relatively normal teeth as he tried tapping into more of his infected strength.
Blade used much of it, but not as much as if he used Fists or Muscle. However, seeing as this thing had a Blade, it was probably best to stick to his own. Alex barely caught the creature's snarled question, but when it registed he blinked in obvious surprise and confusion. "What are you talking about? I didn't charge in here, I walked in. I wasn't even planning on attacking you! Besides, if you were an enemy- and it seems you are- why would I announce myself? Don't ask stupid questions, you... well, whatever the Hell you are!" he growled back.
-------------------
Just as Tara had pulled the trigger, it was as if someone had poured ice down her back. Dragging in a quick, sharp breath, her hand had jerked and, of course, sent the projectiles off-course. The potatoes wound up going splat against the wall behind the man, and she may have laughed at this sight had the chill not still been affecting her. By this point Tara had come to the realization that it wasn't the room or her body that had suddenly grown cold, though goosebumps showed clearly on what skin was visible. It was as if she'd swallowed an entire bucket of ice, sort of, though even that didn't seem like the right kind of description.
However, that wasn't the scary part; what was frightening was the fact that she seemed to be losing control of her body as it became colder on the inside. 'Oh Christ, damnit, it must be... uh... shit, what's it called again?!' Tara thought desperately as her hands began to shake, the unknown force trying to change her aim with the gun. 'Uh... it has to do with ghosts... taking over people... losing control... THAT'S IT!!!...SHIT,' she thought, realization smacking her in the face. She also realized that she was losing the battle for control, seeing as her aim was slowly beginning to shift.
"Craaaaaaap! Guys, duck! Incoming potatoes!! Can't control it-" Tara's finger squeezed the trigger before she could even finish, sending several of the large spuds flying at Ellie and Ion. At the same time, her eyes took on a slightly reddish hue, and her skin turned an almost deathly white. It certainly wasn't as bad as the Exorcist, but now she had about zero control over her actions.
Still, at least her head wasn't spinning around and throwing puke everywhere.

At this rate he couldn't cast a spell. And the fact was the other man was winning the battle of force. Magus just wasn't strong enough. He refused to die here, but he'd need a few seconds to cast a spell, a few seconds he doubted the man would give him even if he managed to get out of the blade lock. Of course, then the man reacted with surprise to his question. Magus tried to push back a little more, but it only matched their strengths again, and Magus was losing his matched hand quickly. "Where I come from, walking might as well be charging! You didn't announce yourself!" Magus grunted as he lost a little more ground. Another inch and he'd lose his head from the back of his own weapon. He narrowed his gaze and spoke with an annoyed growl, "I'll pull back if you will, but you have to go first or you'll behead me." Dammit, he hated showing ground like this. But in a contest of strength, he'd lose. If he died, he'd never find Schala. He was rather glad now that he'd taken a room by himself. The last thing he needed was one of that group to see him like this. Dammit, if he hadn't pushed so much magic through his system he'd manage in a physical fight better. In retrospect, he should have taken the time to set up a barrier like he had when Glenn's group had fought him. He probably hadn't due to the way he'd regarded the group from before. Nothing to do about it now... ---------- The staff hit the man holding Lucca dead on. He hadn't bothered to block the oddly shaped weapon. What he hadn't counted on was for the thing to disrupt his form. Having no knowledge of things like fonons, he had no way to know the weapon had actually caused an echo like effect on his own, creating a disturbance similar to tapping on the side of a crystal glass. For maybe two seconds his form was semi-transparent and impossible to see to those without magic. It was enough for Lucca to realize he wasn't holding her, run forward, and throw the vial at a location just behind the semi-transparent figure. She didn't have the air to shout out Napalm, but she hooked her arms and tried to push down the two closest to where the explosion would be, which happened to be Ellie and Ion. If things went really well, she'd push them out of the way of the possessed Tara's fired potatoes as well. The vial would explode on impact, and cover a small area with a fairly decent strength explosion. Those that had played the game would recognize the "Napalm" attack, and now be educated as to how that attack worked. Providing they weren't to busy being rammed into the floor by the purple haired girl or getting hit with Tara's potatoes. ---------- Another portal had opened in the castle just as Lucca was throwing her Napalm bomb. This was a portal Ion would be able to sense if he was in any condition to do so. While it had some technology origins in the Gates Lucca and her friends had used to traverse time, and even more origins with the standard dimensional gates, there was something else to it. A blip of well contained seventh fonons powered by a combination of "normal" technology, a fon machine, and a bit of fonic-artes contained within. What the portal dropped was a gold colored robot. There was no simpler way to describe the machine, although the high sheen pastel green ribbon tied in a cute bow around a tube at his front did seem a bit out of place. It landed rather poorly and rolled several times before it came to a stop. It was a bit banged up due to rolling off the stairs leading up to the throne, but it got up. It flailed its arms a bit before grabbing a hold of its head and twisting the plating forward, effectively restoring its site. The machine known most commonly as Robo "blinked" several times by blipping the green lights that seemed to function as eyes on and off several times. It looked around and a few mechanical processing noises could be heard. This wasn't the future, was it? His time, Robo corrected himself. He had known it could be different, but this seemed more like the ruins of Lucca's time. "Hello, might there be anyone in the general vicinity?" Robo asked... just in time to hear an explosion. Robo jumped and his chest plating popped open in surprise. He looked around and found what seemed to be where the noise was coming from. He made quite the clanking noise as he ran over to the door that would lead to the basement area. He was more than capable of being quiet under normal circumstances. He just wasn't trying and a few pieces of plating were loose. (OOC: Ani, go ahead and do what you want with the ghost there. Targeting the group is fine, as is targeting HERSELF. XD You can have her throw the ghost off at any time, and she would have a pretty big chance in the time that the "ghost" destabilized thanks to Ion, as his direct control is gonna be more focused on stabilizing than controlling the ghost. XD Ani, because describing Robo is a pain in the ass - The ribbon isn't pictured here, but its tied around that tube-like thing on his left side: images3.wikia.nocookie.net/chrono/images/8/83/Robo.jpg)

Ellie yelped as both herself and Ion were suddenly shoved down by Lucca, just in time for both the potatoes that Tara had suddenly started shooting at her and the explosion to miss her. As her ears popped from the roar of the explosion of napalm and other fun explosive chemicals, Ellie went over in her head what had happened when she'd thrown Ion's staff at the guy.
It looked like they'd found this boss' weakness.
Ellie grasped her hand around Ion's pendant and pulled it from his neck, the string holding it there snapping as she did so. She stood up and brandished the pendant by the tuning fork end.
"Alright, that's it, big, evil, and nasty! I'm sick and tired of all your stupid games! And goddammit, I'm Ellie, and I'm about to go all Exorcist on your ass, bitch!" Ellie yelled. She pointed the miniature tuning fork at the man. Ion looked up at Ellie.
"Ellie, what are you...?" Ion asked. His ears were still ringing from the explosion, but he could tell that Ellie quite plainly was about to do something stupid.
"I think if I can disrupt his form like that again, the spell on the door will weaken enough that you guys can escape! Lucca, get Ion and Tara out of here; I'm gonna hold him off! And dammit, get that potato cannon away from her!" Ellie yelled, dodging out of the way of another potato as it came her way.
Neither Ellie nor Ion had noticed that Robo was heading toward the door; in their defense, they had an explosion and a flying potato cannon to worry about at the time.

Alex was confident that he would win out; the creature was quite obviously tiring and gradually losing ground. The other would either be thrown off-balance or, judging by his blade, would lob off his own head. Either way, it would be a simple enough matter to absorb him soon after; he'd even get to try out that cool scythe. Alex rolled his eyes as the creature blamed this whole fight on him again, obviously annoyed as he pressed the matter. "Look, it never ends well when I announce myself, okay? I either have my ass shot to pieces or get torn apart. And I really hate regenerating when that happens," he snapped irritably.
However, the other's next words caught him off-guard, making him frown and narrow his eyes in suspicion. This was new; Alex had never gotten that sort of response before, from military or infected. Of course, the military were dead-set on capturing him, and the infected weren't intelligent enough to even consider a truce. So it was no surprise that he was wary of the idea. Alex pulled back only slightly, enough so that the creature wouldn't get beheaded but he also couldn't take advantage of it and turn the tables.
"Why should I trust you? I don't even know what you are!" Ironic, seeing as the other was probably in the same boat.
-----------------------------
Tara reeled back at the sudden explosion of fire, stumbling until her back hit a stone wall. In response, a few more potatoes were fired, though they really had no specific aim. Momentarily dazed, she dropped the spear and rubbed at her eyes with the now free hand. "Ugh... what was that??" Tara muttered in a twisted, garbled version of her voice, blinking repeatedly.
When her vision cleared, she saw Ellie threatening the man, and she instantly frowned. "Oh no ya don't. You're not going anywhere..." she whispered maliciously. A sadistic grin spread across Tara's lips as she reached out and grasped a nearby rope, simultaneously raising the gun to aim at some object across the room. "Going down!" she shouted, firing. The potato launched across the room, right between Ellie and the ghost, before smacking into an old lever built into the floor.
There was enough force to push it over, and an echoing creak reverberated around the stone room. Soon after, the floor gave a momentary shake before crumbling, falling away block by block to the floor below it. It was then that Tara pulled on the rope, leading to another creak and the crunching sound of shifting stone. The stairs had fallen into each other, creating a slide and ruining their escape route. If they fell with the stone floor, they wouldn't be killed, but it would be a Hell of a lot harder to get out of the dungeon.

(OOC: First - OOPS. I forgot this thread. Several times, thinking back. Um... Ani, next time that happens, you know if I don't post in like five or more days? PM me. XD I can be rather spacy. So sorry about that.
Second - Wow Ani. Um... okay, I can go with that. XD You should probably ask before you take that much control of the environment next time, though. I'm not upset, just surprised. XD)
The first sign that Alex could possibly trust, or at least not kill, Magus came from the fact that he didn't try to "turn the tables". He didn't apply additional force when Alex gave his slight relent on the pressure. He was still glaring though. In fact, his expression had gotten a bit more indignant now that he didn't have to put every ounce of energy into preventing a self-decapitation.
"You shouldn't," Magus answered with utmost honesty, tightening his grip in case that response merited another push. He'd push back only if the humanoid in front of him reapplied the initial pressure, "But from where I stand, it's clear I'm not what you're used to dealing with. If you're so confident about being able to kill me, then you should be willing to pull back and let me prove my words," he narrowed his eyes even more, "Or do you think you can't defend yourself if I attack again?"
He really hated the ground he was showing. If his method of negotiating worked, however, it could have advantages. The best opponent was one who was confident they had you outclassed. Magus had seen no indication the man could tell he could use magic. The man had obvious abilities, but they weren't reading as magic to Magus' own senses. If he could get him to lower his guard around him, they could fight at a later date. Right now, if Alex didn't pull back, Magus was in a rather large amount of trouble...
----------
The tall man narrowed his eyes as the spirit he'd caused to possess the girl took matters a little bit much into its own hands. His own hands, the man thought, as the ghost using the girl was one of the people well versed with this area of the dungeons. There were simply too many "people" under his control to go into specifics, but he was pretty sure it had been one of the more zealous of the torturers back when they were alive. All in all, he managed to solidify just in time to hop back. He was too busy not having this form fall to deal with the pendant being brandished at him.
Lucca had hesitated at Ellie's order. For one, how did this girl know her name!? The spectacled teenager was able to process quick enough she realized it was possible she was in the future. She'd been doing a lot of research into robotics, so there was a chance (however embarassing) that she was well known. Still, it couldn't be that much in the future... maybe she'd befriended someone shortly after she vanished? Didn't explain the castle. All the thoughts lead to a long enough hesitation that the ground was crumbling beneath her before she had a chance to react. She let out a startled shout as her body began to fall.
----------
Robo stopped as he heard what sounded like one of the voices he knew so well. To be fair, probably the voice among Crono and his allies he knew the best. Hers was the first voice he had clearly heard in... pretty much ever. After his memory had been restored, he knew he had heard lots of voices before then. But the first voice he had heard before then had been Lucca's. She'd fixed him. And that sounded like a very startled scream... In a rather human sort of reaction, Robo had lifted his arm and was reacting before his thought processes caught up with his emotions.
"Rocket Punch!!"
The masculine voice was almost but not quite human. To those residents of certain worlds, it sounded a bit like a well done Vocaloid - better than the Talkloids, but it was just speaking. It was a bit on the deep end without being baritone. A high baritone, more or less, and still just speaking.
Robo lifted his left arm and with the shout the fist he had made shot towards the door. Those inside the dungeon would be hard pressed to miss the very solid sound similar to a battering ram. The door shook on its hinges and a bunch of centuries old dust kicked off. Considering how long the dust had been on, it was a testament to how hard the door was being hammered upon. It looked like a few more hits might knock it loose. Robo had no way of knowing Lucca was in no condition to hear him over her panic. Or that the group might make the wrong assumption about the mysterious hammering on the door... after all, at least some of them had shown to be horror movie and zombie game fans.

Ellie didn't have words for what had just happened. She just didn't have words. She turned to Tara, and Ellie's face was probably the most angry expression she could possibly have. Her face was rather red, at the very least. And scrunched up. She clenched the pendant tighter, and nimbly jumped out of the way of one of the falling blocks. Once on safe ground, at least for now, she turned back toward Possessed!Tara. She lifted up one hand which was making an obscene gesture she had made many times this night, several of which being towards Tara herself.
"FUCK YOU!"
She grasped the pendant tightly and held it up to her chest much like someone might a crucifix.
"Oh heavenly father, Virgin Mary, Yulia, Lorelei, the Flying Spaghetti Monster, I don't give a fuck who answers my prayer, just someone please, exorcise these stupid assholes before I have to beat the shit out of some stupid asshole already. Amen." Ellie finished her prayer and grasped the pendant by the string and began swinging the pendant around in a circle above her head. Canary began chirping a fair amount as she did this, and the tuning fork was beginning to make a sound.
Ion had heard Lucca shout as she began to fall and ran to grab her hand before she could fall down into the chamber below this room. However, it was a small freedom; the floor was falling down around him. However, he was still grasping Lucca's arm with both hands.
"Don't worry! I've got you!" Ion called.
Ellie had jumped as she heard something bang on the door. Oh shit. Ghosty over there had called some of his zombie friends. Only explanation. Shiiiiiiiiiiiiit. But she had other things to deal with. If she remembered the Exorcist right (which she probably didn't), the power of God or something like that could force ghosts out.
"Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven," Ellie chanted as she ran toward Tara, still spinning the pendant around in a circle, just with it to the side this time. Okay, so it wasn't a cross. But hell with that; this was all she had. "Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil."
She held the pendant out in front of her, and if Tara didn't move out of the way, she'd be struck in the head with a tuning fork shaped pendant. If it managed to strike, Ellie had one last thing to add to that.
"Amen. Bitch."
((OOC: The tuning fork will at least have some effect on the ghost possessing Tara since the ghost's an extension of Mr. Tall Man Ghost over there.
Also, I loved writing this post. XD Just putting it out there.))

((FFFFF. You two are a little spacey, aren't ya? XD *prods both of you playfully* Don't you use bookmarks or something? That's what I do. But hey, s'okay. I'll PM you peeps from now on. No worries. And sorry. XD I couldn't resist... Next time I'll ask, definitely. I got carried away by the humor, which tends to happen a lot. If you hadn't noticed already. :3)) Alex's mindset was pushed a little in Magus's favor when the other didn't try to take advantage of his slight trust, but he held his current ground. He returned the glare whole-heartedly, partially baring his slightly pointed canines at the creature to show he was just as aggravated and overall pissed. However, he raised an eyebrow at the initial answer to his question, almost returning to full strength out of logic and reason. But Alex held back, listening as Magus continued to speak and sway him with his rational words. It was true that he'd never seen nor heard of such a creature before, and as such hadn't the faintest idea of his abilities. But then, the other didn't understand him either, it seemed. After all, Alex had only revealed superhuman strength, speed, and his Blade; he had far more hidden beneath the surface of his skin. If Magus tried anything, he should at least be able to protect himself, if not kill the other entirely. He frowned at the slightly taunting question, eyes narrowing as memories of battles with far worse creatures and machines flashed through his mind. That was all Alex could remember; his name, abilities, and a couple of old battles with the infected and military. "We'll see who won't be able to defend himself," he muttered in reply. Pulling in a deep breath, the same red-black energy as before began flowing rapidly around his entire body this time. Alex's skin and muscle twitched and stretched, cells hardening as a thick, black armor covered his entire body. It was obviously heavy, but very strong and allowed him to keep use of his Blade. It was just a precaution in case Magus did try anything when he moved back; certainly showing one more ability wouldn't hurt. Finally, Alex hopped back, the sound of blade slicing across blade echoing throughout the room. He held his defensive stance, a few feet now separating them as he stared Magus down and waited to see what he would do in response to his actions. -------------------- Tara, or perhaps the correct title would be Possessed!Tara, was laughing pretty maniacally at the havoc she'd just caused. It brought back sweet memories of torture and torment for the ghost, who had worked in the dungeons all his life and died there as well. Screams were music to his ears, and he would take a scolding from his master if it meant he could hear such a wonderful tune again. He was planning to just let Tara fall, either staying within her body or leaving it depending on what happened. When he caught Ellie's obscene gesture and heard her shouted profanity, he had to lean against the wall for support as he clutched his victim's stomach. "Hahahahaha! Sorry, wench! No hard feelings, nothing personal. Just doing my job! And man, do I love my job," she called in her twisted voice. Tara was so busy laughing that she didn't catch what Ellie was doing until the girl was already running at her, swinging the pendant like bolos. She blinked, wiping a few tears from her eyes as she caught her breath and raised the potato gun again. "Hey! Stop! Don't come any closer or I'll shoot, you crazy bitch!!" she snapped. When nothing happened, Tara's brows furrowed and she took aim for Ellie's forehead. "Fine! Eat potato, you bird-headed looney!" she growled, squeezing the trigger. Click. Click click. "Huh?" Clickclickclick. "Oh, you have got to be kidding me!!" Tara swore a few choice words under her breath, returning her gaze upward in time to take a very hard pendant to the temple. Now, she had a hard head, but it wasn't a block of cement or steel. She stumbled back a few paces, slamming into the wall and then sliding down it with a tuning fork-shaped imprint on her forehead. "Nooooooo! I'll get you for this, damnit!" The ghost wailed as it was abruptly tossed from its vessel, disappearing through a nearby wall. Were this an anime or manga, Tara would have the classic swirls for eyes. Oh yeah, and the floor was still caving in, too.

Magus didn't give any reaction to Alex's shift. He had already acknowledged the high chance he was in another dimension. And he was sure had the woman that ruled Zeal not fallen victim to her insatiable greed, magic and/or technology capable of what the man before him had just done would have arisen. Someone had probably been working on it already, to be honest.
The elf eared man noted the way Alex pulled back. A final bit of point making with the way his blade sliced. Magus watched the man with one eye as he straightened himself up and rubbed his throat. The man had pushed enough that his own scythe had bumped his throat a few times. It hadn't broken, but he knew it had come close. He looked back towards Alex and his unique armor.
"I'm assuming you knew at least someone was in here. You seemed surprised only by my reaction, not my presence."
----------
Lucca felt the hands grab around her right hand. Her dominant, but she was more than capable of ambidexterity. She noticed Ion was slipping in after her fast and it was doing nothing for the panic. She wasn't used to someone not being there to catch her. She narrowed her eyes and began trying to pry Ion's arms loose with her other one.
"You have to let me go! It's no good for you to get caught too!"
The tall man stumbled back a few more steps. He hit the rack that Lucca had hit on her arrival and stopped, looking back at it with a snarl. Alright, there was going to be one less ghost in the castle once the group in front of him were handled. He glared at them and the collapsing floor again.
----------
The thudding had hit several times. By now the door looked ready to collapse. Robo allowed his hand to come back to his left arm again before taking a step back. He concentrated for a moment before rushing forward to the door with his entire body. A bit of flame came out as he shouted and hit the door.
"Robo Tackle!"
----------
The door finally gave out at that. Or to be more precise, the very rattled hinges did. The long metal screws keeping it in place finally popped out and the door came down with a resounding thud. To those that looked up, it was possibly a little frightening. Considering the low light level in the castle, it wouldn't be out of the question to place the approximately seven foot metallic thing as some kind of alien or other unfriendly. If Ellie wasn't completely absorbed in panic, she might recognize it.
Robo didn't give a chance for much in the way of reaction. He noticed Ion falling and heard Lucca tell Ion to let her go. Had he been human, his eyes would have widened. The closest result was that his face plate raised a bit around his eyes, giving an illusion of raised eyebrows. $
He attempted to run forward, but his foot didn't do well on the collapsed stairs. He managed to roll several times on the way down, creating a royal racket. Somehow or another, probably some inner working in his body, he managed to right himself just as Ion was ready to fall into the hole. He shot his hand forward with a creative use of his Rocket Punch and the hand grabbed around the lower part of Ion's robe. He ran forward to meet the hand as it tried to pull back and it reattached.
(OOC: Pausing more for reactions due to the fast pace than anything else. XD Ani, if Tara wants to fire her gun at Robo she can. It'll cause a few dents and such but he won't let go. Yay tank characters!)

Ion tried to get a better grip on Lucca's arm, but they were both slipping quickly, and the floor was still collapsing around him. It didn't help that Lucca seemed to be making an active effort to make him let go of her.
"I'm sorry, but I can't let you fall!" Ion said. He managed to grab Lucca a bit tighter, but he was skidding toward the hole in the floor himself.
Ellie glared at Tara's dizzy form, grabbed her by the collar, and slapped her a couple times. "Wake the FUCK up! I did not just steal Ion's pendant, recite a prayer I haven't in over a year, and smack you upside the head with a fucking tuning fork for us to die here, dammit!"
She wheeled around and dropped Tara when whatever had been banging on the door finally crashed through and grabbed Ion. Ellie had been about ready to attack the thing when it began to help Ion pull Lucca up. And it took Ellie a moment, but she realized that was Robo.
Oh, and the floor was still falling around them and someone really needed to do something about that.

((FFFFFFFF. I love Ellie.))
The fact that Magus didn't instantly lunge or attempt a long-range attack allowed him to gain another chunk of Alex's trust, shown quite clearly as he straightened out of his defense stance. However, he kept his Armor on and his Blade out, just to be on the safe side. Sure, he could regenerate if this creature ever destroyed him, but it was long, painful, and required having a living organism within reach to absorb. Alex humphed at Magus's statement, uncomfortable now that the conflict was over. Fighting was really the only thing he knew anymore; conversation had fallen to the wayside.
"...I did. As for how I knew, that's really none of your concern," he growled out.
---------------------------------------
The slapping seemed to do the charm, snapping Tara out of unconsciousness with a shriek and flail. "I'M UP!!! I'M UP!!! DON'T GIVE ME A PINK BELLY, MARY!!!" she screeched, eyes wide and face pale. She yelped as she was abruptly dropped, hanging halfway over the edge of the crumbling floor. Blinking a few times, Tara looked around her and seemed to remember where she was with an automatic blush of embarrassment. "Oh... oh yeah... heh, forgot I wasn't home anymore..." she mumbled abashedly.
Groaning, she stumbled to her feet and looked around once more from her higher vantage point; well. This didn't look good. "What the Hell happened?! I'm out for five minutes and you guys activate two of the most cliche booby traps in all of dungeon history?!" Tara shouted, mind going into "problem solving" mode as she took in the room's details and pulled on her knowledge from video games, movies, and books alike.
'Let's see... weapons rack, rope, lever... that's about it. The lever and rope probably control the stairs and floor, but it's impossible to reach the lever from here. Or the stairs, for that matter. There must be something... wait!' she thought, eyes lighting up. "Ellie! How much you wanna bet there's a hidden passage behind that rack?" she asked, smirking and pointing.
((There. I'd say that's basically "asking" if we can do that. XD))

(OOC: And I'm going to have to say no. Come up with something NOT cliche to get them out of this. I'd be glad to throw some real world castle logic at you for why this area wouldn't have a hidden passage. XD
Don't let humor kill a serious plot and/or situation, Ani. If you want "for teh lulz" plots, TSI is your best bet for RPs. :3 Or PaC)
"You're in error if you think I was going to ask," Magus stated. He'd gotten the confirmation he'd wanted, after all, "I don't suppose I could get a clear answer for who your pursuers are, could I?"
It wasn't as much of a leap as could be taken. Alex was poised. He'd been looking into rooms somehow to see if someone was there. Even if he'd known no one had been in the other rooms, it was possible he'd picked this one to handle whatever was in there. There was also a distinct lack of surprise at Alex' abilities. Something, which like the question, could be pretty misinterperted. He was ready to flee if Alex rushed him, and the still open door provided a chance to do so.
----------
The mage turned towards the rack and raised an eyebrow at Tara's words. A hidden passage? He smirked at the naivete of basic castle construct before turning back towards the group. Well, the door was ripped off its hinges now. A few people were almost in the hole that the one (very destroyed, he noted) ghost had made, and things had gotten a bit out of his hand. He shrugged.
"God protects drunks, fools, and children, I suppose," he stated towards the group with a smirk. He took a a sweeping bow, "Do not take your blessing lightly, children."
And then he vanished. The floor seemed to have stabilized quite a bit by this point. The low light meant it was hard to tell, but there was a floor beneath where they were standing. More torture chambers it seemed like, an indicator that this castle had... issues. Robo began working his way backwards as well as he could.
The stairs had fallen into each other, creating a somewhat dangerous slope due to the loose stones. There was about three feet of area between the stairs and the area where Robo had ahold of Ion's robe. Ellie was on the other side of that, and Tara's position meant she was actually on a loose rock sticking out from the wall on the floor below. Her waist was about parallel with the edge of the collapsed floor. Ellie had about half a foot of hall and the entire room to walk around in. There was a fairly large area of broken floor. Ten feet give or take.
Lucca had stopped struggling with Ion when she heard the clanging. She'd been forced to destroy enough R series robots to know that sound. She'd repaired one, for that matter, and there was only one in the entire future history of the world she could think would have any chance of showing up now...
"Robo!?"
Robo was a little busy at the moment. Ion's robe had begun to rip, and pretty much the only area of his body that hadn't fallen by now were his knees down. Lucca hung about five feet from a safe landing place, but the darkness made it impossible to tell. Robo switched where he was holding, and now had a grasp on Ion's ankles. He carefully pulled backwards bit by bit. At one point he slipped on the collapsed stairs and Lucca let out a startled cry before repeating Robo's name again, this time more concerned. Robo managed to pull Ion up all the way, allowing Lucca's head to be seen.
"Lucca!" Robo said, as if he hadn't been quite sure before. He ran forward and sidestepped Ion carefully before reaching his long arm out and grabbing Lucca's wrist. Tears were rolling down her face.
"I can't believe its you!"
"Lucca, if you do not quit shaking I will be unable to get the grasp I need to pull you up," Robo stated.
It would probably be humorous in a different setting. There was no doubt to any fan of Chrono Trigger where in the game at least Lucca had come from, though.

((OOC: So we've decided Ion is now 5'8". XD So Mugen's making replacement art for Ion because of this.))
Ellie glared at the ghost as he spoke. Before he vanished, she held up one hand, the same one she had the pendant grasped in, and lifted one finger up from it. No points for guessing which one it was. She turned to where Robo was now helping Lucca up and very carefully made her way over where they were. She turned toward the robot.
"You need any help getting her up?" Ellie asked. Great. Magus is gonna freak when we get back upstairs. She looked toward where the stairs had fallen in on themselves. If we get back upsairs, she added. It would be a bit of a slippery walk. At least the stairs were still there.
Ion hadn't quite let go of Lucca yet, even though Robo was having a bit better job at pulling her up than he was.

((Right. Sorry. *smacks Insanity, her humor muse* SHUT UP.))
"Hmph." Alex muttered, confused by Magus' words and actions. Probably because the only enemies he'd ever interacted with had been infected and military, neither of which played fair and one of which tried everything in its power to learn his secrets. This creature was an anomaly to him, a new experience that his mind couldn't quite comprehend. But Alex Mercer would adapt, just as he always managed to do. Finding the Armor cumbersome and uncomfortable, he deemed it safe enough to return to his normal appearance as the red and black waves removed the heavy plating.
"My pursuers? No one was chasing me," he answered calmly. 'For once,' he added as an after-thought. Alex kept his Blade out, still a little wary of Magus and not willing to take that much of a risk.
-----------------------------
Tara frowned, glaring at the man and shaking a fist in his direction. "Don't call me a kid, damnit! I'm plenty old enough to kick your ass!" she snapped, brows furrowed. She sighed when he disappeared, returning her attention to the room. Instantly, Tara's jaw dropped, and her eyes got so wide that it was a wonder they didn't roll right out of their sockets. "Holy... talk about a scene change," she muttered, awed.
Hearing the names called, she focused her attention on Ion, the girl, and what appeared to be a robot. Realizing just how close they were to tumbling down into the lower room, Tara tucked her potato cannon behind her back and moved to jump over to Ellie's large area of walkway when the loose stone she stood on shifted dangerously beneath her feet. She gasped and flailed her arms a bit, freezing in place as the only thing keeping her aloft tilted side to side for a few moments before at last coming to rest. Letting out a small breath of relief, she sweatdropped and looked over at the others with a sheepish grin. "Uh... guys? Methinks I'm stuck."
