(Let me first apologize for taking so long to get to this! This semester has been extra hectic, and it's only gonna get crazier as we start animating our big junior film. Whew! Alright, we all remember 42's intent with this plot, right? If not, go ask him. XD Anyways, let's quit babbling and get back on this!)
The moment Raz opened the door and was presented with their haggard faces, he already knew things had gone bad at the church.
Double D especially looked quite torn, emotionally, at least. Really, RIGHT after almost getting eaten by some crazy spider chick? Raz would be exhausted too after such a draining day.
Not too many words needed to be exchanged, not until the Angel of Light had retired to his bedroom for rest. He had been greeted by an eager, if tired, Marion, which picked up his spirits slightly as they both went to bed together.
Only when he was assumed out of earshot were the events of that evening relayed to everyone else.
"...and that's the general gist of it," Eddy finished, exasperated over the entire situation. "STILL have no clue what the Wizard wants, all he's doing is screwing with our heads..."
"Two Spear's Madness... how long is this gonna keep going on!?" Skywise groaned. "The last thing Eddward needs is more headaches. You can only put so much on a Zwoot's back before it breaks."

"This is war," Masahiro said simply, not even bothering to show any emotion on his face, which looked odd considering he had been called out in his rabbit PJs with his stuffed teddy bear. "The enemy, the Wizard, won't care about Edward's physical, mental, or emotional state. The idea is to fuck him over to the point of following his plans and then destroy him." He sat there on the couch, arms crossed, and would've looked extremely serious if not for his attire.
"Masahiro, de attire doesn't suit de subject," Schrodinger pointed out.
"Do I look like I care?"
"Just saying."
"I don't know... and I don't care," Felix said, mainly speaking to himself, but addressing Masahiro's theory as well. "If he comes near Edward again, I'll rip his mind apart before tearing his soul to pieces!"
"You need to compose yourself before you do that," Masahiro said. "Make sure it's of righteous anger and not a lust for vengeance."

"Yeah, the Wizard isn't someone you can easily tackle on head first," Fleetfoot reminded. "...which only makes this more frustrating."
Raz nodded in agreement. "It's really hard to figure him out... he's not physical, really, but he's not mental altogether, either... but I guess that doesn't matter when you take into account what he's doing to us..."
"It DOES if we can figure out his freaking weakness!" Eddy sat up. "I'm tired of him and his cronies kicking us around!"

"You wanna know the Wizard's weakness?"
The voice was a shock-- it was familiar and, yet, at the same time, completely foreign. It came from a shadow on the wall, which peeled itself from the wall like a sticker in a children's book. Slowly, the shadow grew into a form that was recognized by most people in the room:
The affably evil, goat-horned devil, known by his associates as Senor Diablo.
"Gentlemen." When he didn't get the reaction he expected, Diablo sighed. "Hmm? No memes? I'm in that kind of a mood today. After all, so many people in Hell are always spouting out those things..."

"You're not exatly a wanted entity; we already got rid of one devil, thank you very much," Masahiro said, sighing and rubbing his head as if he had a headache.

"Why do people keep appearing from empty space?" Skywise lamented. "It's growing quite tiresome."
"Look, at this point, ANYTHING'll help," Raz spoke up, glancing at Diablo, ready to shoot a PSI Blast at him if he tried anything funny. "So... could you tell us, in that case?"

"So impolite." Senor Diablo sighed. "How quick you people forget that I've aided you in the past. Ah, well; I do owe your side for helping me when Gigyas possessed me. I suppose I can overlook your overall douchiness."
Sitting down in an elaborate, Gothic chair that hadn't been there before, Senor Diablo crossed his fingers before his face, deep in thought. "The Wizard represents one-third of a three-way battle for the fate of all reality. As of yet, I am unaware if his two opponents know he is on this island-- however, if the Wizard's plans were to succeed, it would merely draw their attention here and the violence would escalate.
"As for weaknesses," Senor Diablo leaned back calmly, "the Wizard's power is almost unlimited. Almost. The Wizard relies entirely on his godlike psychic power. However, he has to broadcast it from somewhere..."

"Two opponents?" Eddy groaned. "As if just one of them wasn't bad enough..."
"I KNEW there was a psychic feel in his powers," Raz mused.
"Broadcast?" Fleetfoot sat up. "Are you saying, every time he contacts us, he's broadcasting it from somewhere on this island?"

"Let me ask you; if you were inspiring as much rage in your enemies as he was, would you be in the same place as he?" Diablo asked with a snip of sarcasm. "No; you've seen the Wizard's power, you should have guessed that he'd be able to use it on a much larger scale than this island.
"He's from the same world-- or, at least, a similar one-- as young Rasputin." Senor Diablo explained. "In the future of that world, he's built an empire-- one I'm sure he's mentioned to you before: New Babylon."

"So...you're saying he's more likely to be broadcasting from somewhere in New Babylon?" Masahiro theorized.
"That makes sense," Felix responded.

"MY world?" Raz sat up. "He takes over my world? That's just great..."
"In the future, yeah!" Ed finally spoke up. "But maybe we can stop him!"

"The Wizard can't leave New Babylon-- not simply because it amplifies his power, but because his sheer age has turned him into something... immobile." Diablo mused. "If you were to get into the central palace of New Babylon and find the Wizard-- the true Wizard-- you would be able to strike him down." Then Diablo smiled like the cat that ate the canary. "Of course, it's never that easy. If you knew the whole story, you might not even be able to kill him..."

"Seriously!?" Eddy sat up, mostly hopeful, but his grin slowly faded as Diablo finished. "...crap."
Ed cocked his head at the last statement, however, a rare thought passing through. "Wait... you mean if you don't tell us the story, we can beat him?"
"...I don't think that's what he meant, Ed," Fleetfoot sweatdropped.

"What he MEANS is, if we knew the Wizard's whole story, we wouldn't be able to find it in ourselves to kill the sorry b@$T@RD."
All eyes turned to the door, which was still open, and found Otto standing there, a deep frown on his face. His presence might have been very much unwelcome, but then again it might not have. "What makes you so sure that's the case?" He scoffed a little, before continuing. "I have issues with my own lifestory as well, but I've went through a little system that's helped me, wanna know what that is? I MOVED ON."
Crossing his arms, he continued. "I don't care what the Wizard's story is, it's not about what your story is. It's what you choose to do about it." Frowning even deeper, he cracked his knuckles. "What kind of story could the Wizard possibly have? I'm sure whatever it is, it won't change my oppinion that he's one of the slimiest gits in the entire multi-verse." Scoffing loudly, he trailed off. "Emotions are weakness... I oughta show him what the emotion ANGER can do when used correctly..."

"FINALLY, the guy spits out words I can agree with!" Eddy replied.
"Right, words born of--forgive me--ignorance," Skywise spoke up. "I can understand where you're coming from, but it's just plain suicidal to walk into a fight against an enemy we know little about."
Inside his bedroom, Double D was quietly listening to the loud discussion, his hand almost robotically caressing and soothing Marion as they laid on the bed together... the Wizard's words echoing in his head...
Emotions make you weak. You're easily broken if you can feel...
