It's a dark, calm evening in Portal Park. A gentle breeze wafts over the fields as random tears in the dimensional fabric drift about the park. Quite suddenly, a clearer point of color sparks up in the center of the field, streaming a weak light onto the park, the light finding its way into and out of the random tears floating around. A creature steps out of the portal. It turns its head, looking for familiar landmarks, finding none, it draws the twin swords sheathed at its hips. Its thick muscular tail grows mostly still, the tip swooshing in what could be taken as agitation. It takes a stop forward, its hooves moving soundless over the grass. It heads toward the edge of the park, carefully avoiding the dimensional tears, wary of any possible danger. As it enters the light of a street lamp, its features become more identifiable, the face indicating a male. He stares up at the light apprehensively, uncertainty showing on his face. After a moment's pause, he turns and starts following the road, re-sheathing his blades due to the lack of apparent danger. ---------- [OOC] BTW, Photobucket stopped hating me, so here is the album with Telaan's pics. FYI my computer wasn't liking particle textures so the enchant on the axe looks weird, just ignore it. =] s194.photobucket.com/albums/z112/link2552/RP%20stuff/Telaan/ [/OOC]

Night padded into portal park. he stretched and looked around, this looked like as good a place as any to do a work out session. he dove into a portal, coming out behind a couple, he flipping over them, the albino Lucario dove into another portal. emerging a little dust was disturbed as he adjusted his foot and dove to the side, his bone rush appearing as he used it to vault his way up to a portal. he emerged over Telaan. "Aww cripes." Night groaned to himself as he rolled in mid air to move and land softly a few feet away.

Telaan turned, seeing a small creature land beside him. Drawing his swords, he kicked the creature away and assumed a battle stance. Frost blossomed on the ground as he brought the powers of the North to bear, ready for anything.

Night grunted as he slid back a foot. Woa, didn't even get a chance to say hello. Night thought as he clapped his fore paws together before spreading them, A blue bone appearing that he grasped at the middle, twirling the bone like staff expertly, he brought it down to rest lightly in his forepaws.

Telaan stared the animal down as it drew a staff from seemingly nowhere. He wondered how well he could freeze the creature, then decided against such a venture. It was far too warm here, and attempting to freeze the creature would leave too tired should any other threat come around. Perhaps diplomacy is in order, Telaan mused. "Where am I," He called out, "This looks nothing like Death's Watch."

"You're in portal park, within a place called Void city." Night responded his gold eye's scanning over the being in front of him.

Void City... Telaan contemplated. The name did not ring any bells, leaving him more confused as to his location. "Where on Azeroth or Draenor is that? And where is a Mage? I must get to Death's Watch immediately." Though he was curious and somewhat annoyed to find himself at the new, unheard of location, he knew letting his guard down could only be a mistake. He started looking around, surveying the area nearby for anything that could give him a combatitive advantage. Although he didn't think he needed one based on the height of his opponent. Its reach is larger than mine with that staff, but I'm the larger of us, and it... he, Telaan decided based on its voice, doesn't look overly muscular...

"what in the name of Arceus are you talking about?" Night Asked. "Azeroth, Draenor? never heard of them and as for mages i don't know of any."

"Arceus?" What is this thing talking about? Telaan wondered. He's probably insane... I wonder if I could get away quickly enough on my Deathcharger... Slowly, Telaan put his swords away, and stood straight, giving the semblence of being at ease. Silently, he called for his Deathcharger. Springing from the Shadow World, the horse burst into existance, and Telaan launched himself onto its back, kicking it into a pace no living horse could keep up. He pointed the beast to the road and set off down it, thinking it as good a direction as any to head, being that it lead away from this creature with the staff. Perhaps I can find a city, and there a mage... I must get to Death's Watch.

"Hey! You asked me a question." Night shouted. "My life sucks." The lucario groaned as he took off after Telaan, using Extreme-speed to pursue, he vanished reappearing in a different stance every few feet yet all the time it looked like he was pushing froward in a run.

Telaan saw the creature pursuing. Stupid thing. Is it so far gone that it can't understand when enough is enough? And how is it even keeping up? Regardless, I think it's time for some Shock-and-Awe. He reigned in his great steed, and quickly unstrapped the axe from his back. The moment he touched the grip he could hear them whispering. All the souls stolen by his blade when it had snuffed out their lives. He planned to go all-out, and immediately called on whatever powers he could muster. Ice bloomed over the ground and up a nearby streetlight, the air temperature dropping well below freezing. He felt unholy energy trickling into his being, sensed the corpses of things long dead and things more recently dead beneath the nearby ground. He felt the disease begging for his call, festering under the ground in the corpses long forgotten. He would save the undead and disease for later. Those taxed him most, and he didn't like to disturb things from their eternal rest, a lesson learned by experience. He could hear the axe howling now, the souls screaming for mercy, the eerie sound carrying on the wind. Frost and ice continued creeping over the ground as Telaan channeled powers from the world's frozen North. He started feeling the strain of maintaining the ice in the warm area and hoped the creature would run quickly, he didn't know how much longer he could keep this up.

Night slid to a stop. "impressive." He commented eying the Axe and the ice. "To bad ice doesn't exactly effect me."

"I see." Plan B it is. Telaan hopped down from the fel steed, and strapped the axe. The whipering would distract him from the task at hand, and that wouldn't be good for anyone. He went into a battle crouch, hands extended, palms held flat towards the ground, but not against it. He searched with his mind and found all the corpses he could ever want. Drawing on all the unholy energy he could, and on the life force of the souls in his axe, Telaan poured all the energy he could into the ground. Black and purple lightning and streamers of dark energy lept from his hands to the ground, leaping and crackling along the ground, forming a circle surrounded by runes for undeath, control and submission before burrowing into the ground, seeking dead flesh. Moments later, the corpses of animals and people leapt from the ground, all baying for blood. The rotted and decomposing corpses all merged on the runic circle, attempting to devour the one that summoned them. Must... Gain... Control... Telaan roared, allowing all the dark energy he had left trickle into his voice, binding the wills of all the newly risen dead to his own. They all turned, their eyes burning green towards the smaller creature in their midst. The only thing who still had a spark of life. They all moved forward, surrounding the creature. Telaan was forced to lean against his steed, weakness entering his hooves and knees. He concentrated with all his might, forcing the creatures to do his will. He hoped this last resort measure would scare off the creature, because if he lost control, these creatures would devour himself, the little creature, then everything living until they either decomposed entirely or could no longer find living souls to consume and their own souls were drawn back into death. He let the ice melt and the temperature rise. He would need all the energy he could to manage these undead.

"Arceus, guide my aura." Night whispered as the spike on the back of his fore paws became nasty looking claws. "Let's dance." He ripped into the first three he saw, retracting his claws he stamped his foot causing an Earthquake.

The stupid thing is actually fighting them! Either he's stupid or really really confident. Telaan couldn't just sit and watch the creature fight the undead. Nor could he really control them. It had attacked, and a blood frenzy had set into them, he had lost control. Unstrapping his axe, he walked toward the nearest ghoul. Slicing clean through, his axe devoured the fragment of the soul that was left. He felt steadiness return to his weary body. I really did a poor job forging runes into this thing. I should be able to draw on them any time, not just when I'm in dire straights. Telaan slashed through the body of a nearby quadrupedal ghoul, his axe devouring its soul, and he felt his energy reserve returning. There are way too many for just the two of us... He directed unholy energy into the ground, directing it to decay flesh and rot bone, careful to make sure the deadly streams didn't surround the little living being. He started slashing through his familiars, his axe stealing their souls, bolstering his strength with each one. He had gotten through to the little creature when he realized that it had taken out a good number of its own. Not a bad little fighter, Telaan mused. He lowered his axe, wary of the little thing, though not quite willing to fight it. He didn't like killing the living.
