"Skip the religion and give them the real deal." Crash ordered hastily. "The deal is, the Afterlife's hardly a flawless system they're running and a guy can get into Hell for something as minor as atheism. Every now and then, though, someone breaks out of the afterlife into Earth. It's our job to round 'em up and send them back-- doesn't matter if they escaped from Heaven or Hell."
"Um... yes, that's about the gist of it." Philip looked at his partner awkwardly.

"Whoa... that means the killer's still technically at large," Raz deduced.
"That can't be good," Eddy concluded, acting as today's Catptain Obvious.
"I...I see," Double D nodded. "What do you need me for, then? I've never heard of this killer until now."

"I don't know; he showed up on the... what do you call it? GPS?" Crash looked at the device and shrugged. "The guy's obviously got experience with stuff like this, considering present company. He might be able to help us find the killer."
Casually, as if he was unaware that there were other people in the room, he approached a table and began searching through the items scattered on it. "Most-likely, he's posessed someone, so you'll need to look for eyes like mine."

Skywise nodded. "In case you couldn't tell, there's another spirit possessing this bandicoot. Oddly enough, he agreed to and seemed to enjoy it."
"Typical bandicoot behavior..." Raz observed, then sweatdropped. "...how'd I know that?"

"We just need to observe the people in the complex." Philip said calmly. "The ghost hasn't posessed anyone in this room, so we can trust everyone here, at least."

"Hmm... alright," Double D bit his lip in thought, then turned to Raz. "Call Michiko over. She may be able to sense the ghost's general location."
"Got it." Raz casually closed his eyes and sent out a mental call. Not a minute later, there came a soft knock, and he let Michiko in.
"...Razpution told me everything," the psychic explained, slightly shaken. "...and it's close by. It hasn't possessed anyone yet."

"That means it should be harmless." Philip said casually. "Unless the killer had a body to occupy or had been here for some time, he couldn't manipulate the world around him."

Scratch started to ask why there was particular danger in this when there was a sudden crash. It came from a room two doors down and was accompanied by pained, light laughter that could be heard meekly.
"Damn it, these guys pick perfect timing." Philip muttered. "It's always when you're talking about them or looking for them; they don't waste any time."

"Does that crash mean it's possessed someone already?" Skywise questioned, trying to keep up.
