As he had done many times before, Skywise entered the lobby of the apartment complex atop his wolf. It was such a typical occurance by now that it didn't deter anyone else in the slightest.
It WAS odd, however, to see him being followed by a white-suit detective and a bandicoot with discolored eyes, as if possessed.
"We live on the fourth floor," Skywise told them casually as he approached the stairs. "Apartment 4-B. I'll ride ahead and let everyone know you're coming."

"Thanks, again." Philip said with a friendly smile. Scratch moved Crash over to the doorman's counter and began casually inspecting it.
"Uh... yeah. Thanks, Skyweasel."

The elf unknowingly sweatdropped. "...That's Skywise." Sighing, he rode up to the fourth floor, entering their apartment, where the whole gang was around and about.
"Hey, Sky," Raz greeted with a tiny wave.
"Something up?" Double D asked.
"Yeah... there are two men coming up to see you."
"Me?"

"What do they want Edward-chan for?" Felix asked.
"Damnit, what now?" Masahiro growled. "If it's someone trying to capture him again, I'll probably fall with the mood I'm in."
Felix sweatdropped. "Masahiro's upset today... He's peeved and embarassed that he couldn't protect Marion before."

"I told you, Masahiro, you did all you could," Double D assured.
Skywise shrugged at Felix's question. "Don't ask me. I think they're investigating a killer. One of the devices they had activated, and it had your face on it. Maybe it knew who to look for for leads. As far as I know, they're not here to harm you, or I wouldn't have led them here."

"Killer? Why would they look for a killer here?" Felix asked.
"I didn't even fall yet, it wasn't me!" Masahiro randomly yelled.
"... Guilty conscience?" Felix asked Masahiro.
Fake anime tears streamed down Masahiro's face. "I don't even know anymore," he said.

"Relax. We're looking for someone else."
Philip had entered the room. He had erected his human disguise, but with the collection of angels, psychics, and what-not's in the room it was more-or-less useless; the heavenly glow gave him away. "The guy we're looking for might be hard to notice."

Philip realized his disguise wasn't working and decided to drop it, just in time for Crash to ascend the stairs and arrive behind him. "Well... the killings were usually done with a sword, so that's kind of unique. Plus it was mostly non-Christians that the guy did in." He thought for a moment and then remembered one last thing.
"Each of the victims' faces were mutilated after the killings. He carved them up into a scale-pattern. Sometimes he'd leave a note claiming he was a 'disciple of St. George' and he was 'freeing people from their inner demons'."

Most of the people in the room gawked.
"Yeesh..." Raz cringed.
"Another religious fanatic!?" Eddy exclaimed. "Give me a freaking break!"
Double D mused on this. "...perhaps this killer has a connection with the group that attacked the complex...?"

"I doubt he had a connection to any group-- the guy was just insane." Philip muttered. "He thought God told him that by killing people he could free them from their sins and guarantee them a path to heaven. Eventually, he bit off more than he could chew and one of his victims shot him in self-defense."
