The hotel was pretty calm, as usual. However, as Zero and his "passenger" materialized and solidified in the alley outside, something seemed of. To Zero, in any case.
He jerked around and looked at the building. He hadn't been here before. His almost panic went away when he realized it was an effect of the building. For a split second, he would have sworn Palkia was standing behind him. He knew he could take the Legend, but it wouldn't be an easy fight. But it seemed he was merely reacting to the spacial distortions.
"We're here," he said, trying to pass off his reaction. He hated showing weakness, although at least he could count Kaito as something other than an enemy.

Kaito walked forward. "I don't know how we're going to pay for a hotel room, though..." he admitted. "I didn't have any money on me when I ran off with you."
---------------
Standing in front of the hotel was a young boy, who was keeping one hand on the straps of his backpack, while his other was holding a small map. This looked to be the place. A supposedly haunted hotel, that manipulated space itself. It also had the cheapest rates around, and while Red may have once been the Champion, he wasn't exactly loaded with cash, especially considering the Pokedollar to dollar exchange rate here. He needed somewhere cheap to stay for now. It was no Pokemon Center, but it would do.
As it was, he had a sore throat today, which was strange, since Red didn't often get sick. It was possible he had caught something after arriving here, but...
In any case, he needed a place to rest his head. The trainer adjusted his hat and prepared to head on inside.

Zero reached into his pocket and pulled out the gold colored plastic card he had used earlier, "I've got us covered."
He walked forward after Kaito. He ended up exiting the alley first, but he stopped when he saw Red. The first thing the crossed his mind was that the cosplay was rather good. It looked like a real life version of the main character from Fire Red and Leaf Green. Then he saw the pokeballs at his waist, the Vs Seeker, and felt the data of a Pokedex.
The pokeballs could be passed off. Prue, a teenager from his world, had carried some on her. Seemed a gift from the distant past from Celebi. But the Pokedex and the Vs Seeker. Was this boy from the same past that he had been born from? He held out his hand in front of Kaito.
"There is something I have to check out," he said. He didn't wait for Kaito to respond. He had to see if this boy knew the world he came from. It was possible he was merely from the games, not the real world they had been based around. But he had to be sure.
He said nothing as he rudely cut off the path of the boy. It wouldn't be immediately obvious that it was another form of Missing No. But one who had nearly been killed by the entity would like sense something was wrong. The computer chip pendant with the engraving "Zero" above "000" would also raise concern...

Red looked up at Zero. As it was, Zero was still taller than him, despite Red being 14 now. He was still rather short for his age, after all. Because of this, the first thing his eyes lay on was the pendant Zero wore. "Zero 000." That was concerning. As it was, though, Zero had cut off his path, so Red decided to walk around him. Red needed sleep, and his Pokemon needed rest.
Kaito walked up to Zero. "What was that about?"

(OOC: And Zero's a young adult and fairly tall by appearance. XD)
Zero had to fight to keep the data from rising off his shoulders thanks to Kaito coming up next to him. He'd been completely ignored by the trainer. He looked at Kaito, "You want to stand back, this could get ugly."
He didn't wait for Kaito to respond before allowing the data to flair, sending a bit at Red's Vs. Seeker. He wanted to make it go off, allowing the irony of the situation to sink into Red. It was fully charged, Zero could tell that. It would react to Zero. He didn't have Pokemon, sure, but as it was he was itching for conflict... he allowed bits of distortion to rise off him for when Red turned around. He was sure about this much. The boy was from a world more than a little similar to that which he had been created in.

Kaito backed away, just as the data started flaring up.
The VS Seeker went off rather loudly, catching Red by surprise. He pulled it off, and attempted to shut it up before turning around and seeing Zero, but not before seeing Zero's data. And realized it looked a bit to similar to that of something Red hadn't seen in nearly three years, something that haunted his dreams at night. He pulled out his Pikachu's Pokeball, just in case.
If Zero was paying attention, he would have noticed Red hadn't said a word this whole time, and it wasn't due to ignorance, considering he was very much mouthing words at the moment.
"No way... No, we blew up the whole island just to stop you! You can't be.."
"What's he saying?" Kaito asked Zero.

Zero raised an eyebrow. He very well knew the location of the glitch in the first games. Then there was the events in the games known as Gold, Silver, and Crystal. He spoke to Kaito, "He thinks I'm easy to kill, although I'm not exactly who he thinks."
The virus took a step forward, "So, you know me. That look in your eyes," Zero's cruel grin returned, "It's about time someone treats me with the right amount of fear. I doubt you know this form, however, correct?" Zero gestured to himself. In the games, he'd merely been a glitch. In the world the games were based on thanks to Celebi's suggestions, he'd been a mass of distorted data. And he still wasn't 100% sure the boy knew he was Missing No. As such, he was still feeling out the situation.
This much would be clear to Kaito. They were familiar with each other.

Red kept a strong grip on Pikachu's Pokeball.
"You had a lot of forms. You also took my voice," Red mouthed, though some sound came out this time. He sounded like he was speaking in the slightest of whispers. Most importantly, one could tell that there was something very wrong with him, or at least, his voice. "The fact that you decided to take a human form now doesn't surprise me at all."

Oh, the dilemma. Zero's knowledge of game canon would allow him to manipulate this boy so much. But fact was, he wasn't from his world. The world of the games had been formed thanks to Celebi's messages back in the late 90's of Zero's world. Zero glanced down at the Pokeball. The boy, whose name was likely Red, seemed willing to fight him. And normally he would, but he had Kaito to deal with.
"Well, you know I'm here. All that matters. Kaito, we can go in unless the boy thinks its smart to try and stop us," he glanced towards Red as he finished. He would fight if pressed.

Kaito stared at Red, who was glaring back at him, before turning back to Zero. "R-Right. Let's go." He pushed open the door of the hotel, heading on inside and up to the receptionist.
"We'd like to check out a room," Kaito said.
--------------
Red glared at Zero, but didn't attack. Still, the thought of Missingno being in the same hotel as him... he had no choice, anyways. There was nowhere else he and his Pokemon could stay now; it was much too late for that. So, the boy followed the two of them inside.

Zero had put his card back in his pocket when he'd confronted Red. So he pulled it back out when he approached the counter. The clerk looked up and held up his finger, meaning it left Kaito, Zero, and Red in the lobby together. Zero turned and gave one of his dark smiles to Red whenever he felt the boy's gaze on him. The clerk finally finished what he was doing and turned to Zero.
"Room for three?"
Zero chuckled, "No. Two singles. For me and him," Zero pointed towards Kaito, "The boy isn't with us."
"Right." The man took the card and swiped it, handing Zero a piece of paper to sign. Zero did so and was handed two keys. He turned to Kaito and offered one to the blue haired Vocaloid, "Ready?"

Kaito nodded, and yawned. "I'll see you in the morning, I guess."
Red glared at Zero, and then stepped over to the receptionist's desk.
"One room please?"
"Excuse me? Speak up please," the receptionist said in a bored tone.
"I'd like to stay the night."
"I'm sorry, I can hear what you're saying."
Red facepalmed.

Zero's nodded towards Kaito as he walked off. Once the Vocaloid left, his smile curled a bit and he walked up to the counter, "Clean out your ears. The boy said he wanted a room."
He knew helping Red would get on the boy's nerves in some way or another. Why else would he be doing it? He glanced at Red again, keeping up the cruel grin.

Red's eyes narrowed.
The receptionist sighed. "Oh, fine." Red put a few thousand Pokedollars on the counter. The receptionist counted them up.
"Sorry kid, it's a lot more than this for a room," the receptionist said. "In your world's money, it's about $40000."
Red sighed. He didn't have anywhere near that. It looked like he was sleeping outside tonight.

"Can your Pokemon take a night outside?"
If that wasn't a jab, there was no such thing. It didn't help that he looked borderline psychotic as he looked at Red. This was a blast. The kid was terrified and hateful at the same time.
