"Salmon?" Courage interally went 'blegh' but to be polite... "I-I like fish! Sure! Mainly fried."

"Can't stand fish," Remilia said bluntly. Of course the vampire would hate fish. Fish didn't have much blood, so if animals were to become necessary to survive, she'd need something bigger, like a bear or a tiger... bear. How ironic to think that WITH a bear there.

How unbearable! Fortunately, Koda could not hear Remilia's thoughts nor my incredibly lame puns, but he frowned nonetheless. "Oh.."
"Yeah, I've tried them cooked the way humans eat them," he added, turning his attention to the fuchsia canine. "It just doesn't taste right the way they do it to me, but... hey, to each his own, I guess," he said with a shrug.

Courage nodded. "yeah... you're used to eating them raw and all, I bet... Muriel used to cook them in... interesting ways..."

"Who's Muriel?" the cub asked interestedly. "She a friend of yours?"

Courage found himself smiling fondly. "Muriel.... she's my..."
At that moment, the dog's eyes popped open, easily extending past his skull. In his entire travels with his new family on this island he had completely forgotten about Muriel and his home in the middle of Nowhere.
