(OOC: Myself and NN1 for now, ask if you want in.)
It had been a few days since Kyle had been taken to the Eds' Apartment. A few days since he'd let Oni take him over and he'd ended up doing horrible, unspeakable things to Double D. Kyle refused to talk about them, and over the past few days, had been returning to his more withdrawn self.
Then, suddenly, the previous day, Kyle had gone up to Double D and asked him to train him. Kyle wasn't all that skilled in battle for several reasons, most of them involving Oni. He didn't like fighting, but he wanted to defend himself. He knew Double D and Felix had been attacked several times, and he didn't want to be a burden, or forced into fighting using Oni.
Hence, he and Double D were now out in a clearing nearby the apartments to train. Kyle gulped. He was more than a bit nervous.
"Um..." Kyle said, unsure what to say. He wasn't really sure how he was going to fight back against Double D, either. Double D was strong.

Needless to say, Double D was more than happy to oblige. Once he was recharged and ready to go, his wings fully regenerized, and given constant survelience from above. At a distant call, he smiled and waved up at Marion perched on the fourth-floor balcony.
Glancing back down, he noted Kyle's hesitation, and smiled. Ahh... reminded him of HIS first days of training. "It's alright, Kyle. I know this can be intimidating, and I have yet to have a pupil of my own. But... we'll learn together, right? I'll do my best to help you every step of the way."
Now... what to do first...
"...I suppose for now we'll stick with hand-to-hand for now," he supposed. "There are many different approaches, but let's begin with the basics." He fell into a defenseive stance. "Come at me with your quickest, hardest hit. Punch, kick, it doesn't matter. We'll gauge it from there, alright?"

Kyle gulped and nodded. He clenched his fists, and then rushed at Double D. It wouldn't be an easy attack to dodge, as it turned out, Kyle was fast when he needed to be. The force behind his hit wouldn't be all that weak either, oddly enough. Kyle wasn't all the skin and bones he looked; Oni had had some sort of influence there. Mainly making sure he didn't starve to death, but also making sure he got his exercise... usually while Oni as in control of his body.

"OOF!" Double D was prepared to block the attack with a raised arm, but he didn't expect it to be so fast or powerful. He tightly held his stance, his heels skidding into the grass a fair distance.
"...ah... not bad. Not bad at all," he chuckled, rubbing his arm. "You have fine potential, Kyle. Might be because of Oni, but sometimes you have to take what you get and make some use out of it."
He readied himself again, a little more prepared. "Approach me again. And keep going until I manage to counter you."

"Y-yeah..." Kyle said, and took up what could be taken as a battle stance again before rushing at Double D, swinging out with a punch. Again, it was quick, but Double D was actually ready for it this time. Kyle didn't doubt that Double D would be able to catch it.

He did indeed; reaching out his other arm under the front of Kyle's legs, he actually used the momentum of the swing to practically flip him up and over. Before the boy hit the ground, a force field bobbing up around him softened his fall. As he floated weightlessly inside, Double D approached.
"A thing I learned from training with Eddy a lot," he spoke, his voice distorted from inside the feild. "...is that a good defense is your best offense. When you can, turn your combatnent's strength against them."

Kyle had kind of expected that response. Still, it had been a bit disorienting to be flipped like that, and then caught by a forcefield. He nodded at Double D's words.
"Y-Yeah... um, can you put me down?" Kyle asked. He couldn't really fight like this... well, he could, but he didn't want to use the way he'd have to in order to break free.

"Of course," Double D let the feild go, the boy plopping on his butt. He reached down and took Kyle's hand, pulling him back up on his feet. "Shall we try again? I'll stay on the defensive mostly, but will try to throw in a hit or two of my own. Any wounds too serious, I can heal. Ready?"

Kyle nodded and took up a battle stance again. He took a deep breath, and suddenly a voice he certainly didn't like hearing started ringing in his head again.
Right hook. Roundhouse kick. Feint. Sweeping kick. When he counters, don't let him catch you off guard. Counter back with a couple quick jabs.
Why are you helping me?! Kyle asked back. He didn't get a response besides a couple light tendrils wrapping around his wrists and ankles.
Don't struggle. I'll guide your moves, Oni said back. Kyle found himself running forward and doing just as Oni told him to do. He looked rather confused as he did so, but the attacks hit well. But... this still wasn't him.

Double D staggered slightly at the abrupt advance, barely able to dodge and block them. It was then he grabbed the sweeping kick, attempting to throw him off balance again, when Kyle's fist jabbed out without warning, which resulted in a hard hit to his face.
The angel openly grunted at the blow, swaying back and falling gradually off his feet and onto his rear. He rubbed his jaw, making sure it was still aligned, then looked up at Kyle. The lightness in his expression had disappeared for the moment.
"...not bad at all... Oni."

Kyle blanched as several more tendrils began surrounding his body. They weren't enveloping him yet, but it was clear what Oni was attempting to do. And then he began to look even more panicked as a voice that wasn't his began to ring out. A voice he thought he could only hear in his head so long as his shadow wasn't trying to kill people.
"You're welcome, angel," Oni said. "You're rather smart for an angel, aren't you? It would have taken your boyfriend longer to realize I was controlling Kyle."
Kyle's knees gave out on him as the shadows began to crawl up his body.
"D-Double D...!" Kyle choked out. He wanted to tell Double D to run. He wanted to tell him to run so badly. But he knew he wouldn't. They never did.

"Oh, no you don't!" Double D knew this would happen again. Surely Oni wasn't going to stay put while they searched for a way to destroy him. And the angel was well prepared, and not willing to run away.
With that, Double D grabbed onto Kyle's arm tightly, his hand glowing a hot white, as he once again began to force the demon back down.
[glow=yellow,2,300]"Good try, demon,"[/glow] he growled. [glow=yellow,2,300]"But Kyle will learn not to draw his strength from you. I'll see to that."[/glow]

By the time Double D had reached and grabbed Kyle's arm, the tendrils had wrapped around parts of Kyle's face. Oni was moving faster than he normally did, especially considering the fact Kyle wasn't even unconscious.
"Good luck," Oni said. "He's growing weak... five years is usually my host's limit. I've had them last longer before, but not often." And with that, he receded back into Kyle's shadow.
"D-Double D...." Kyle said. He still felt so very weak...

Double D bit his lip once Oni started to recede finally. The demon was getting stronger. Time was running short.
He held Kyle at bay to make sure he didn't slump over. "Easy... he's gone for now... it's alright," he tried to soothe. He was slightly disheartened; he was greatly looking forward to teaching Kyle self-defense, to make the boy stronger and confident, but it didn't look like now was the best time. "...are you up for practicing a bit more? Or do you need to rest?"

Kyle wobbled for a moment longer before trying to stand up again.
"I-It's okay... I can still fight..." He stumbled again. "Woah..." He managed to get balanced again thanks to grabbing hold of Double D's shoulder.
"...I thought I sensed something off."
The owner of that voice was an angel. For once, it was female, not like that mattered with angels. She was wearing a trenchcoat and a strange hat, and she had large black wings, though she wouldn't feel like a fallen angel to Double D. She was also carrying a bunch of groceries, which she set down as she walked over to Double D and Kyle.
"...An angel and... a demon... right?" Crow asked. "Hmph. What exactly are you two doing out here anyways?"
