Thane frowned. They weren't going anywhere. He needed to stay here. They, a different they, needed to stay here. He was onto a lead, and they couldn't abandon it. Not with the potential disasters it could cause. The young boy wasn't sure how to deliver it to Tsuna. He seemed like a nice guy, but as a result he didn't think he'd leave what he thought was a young child in the alley.
"You're in a city, you just have to leave the alley," Thane said, pointing again, "It's called Void City. You should be able to find someone who can help you."
Thane spaced out yet again. His grip loosed on Tsuna. This time, he didn't come right back. Tsuna's intuition would go off like a red flag on fire as his eyes came back into focus. For one, if Tsuna were to look at them, they'd seem way older than before. For two, it was a lot darker. The similarity was eerily like the shift between Dokuro and Mokuro, with the latter being the kind of presence on the surface now. "Thane" stepped past the teenager and gave a harsh pull.
"This isn't your business at all. If you can't stomach a simple decapitation, you need to forget you were ever here."

Well that was odd. Tsuna got the air that he was speaking to Chrome, here. And that was never a good thing. Because speaking to Chrome meant, in a way, speaking to Mukuro. And for him to get that feeling from Thane... that wasn't good. And then Thane's personality seemed to do a 180 as he tugged on Tsuna's arm, seeming years older than before. Honestly, Tsuna felt like he was talking to the demon from before, but... no, that was impossible. Tsuna refused to believe it was possible. Thane was just being a bit of a jerk.
"H-hey, now! That's no way to speak to your elders!" Tsuna cried as Than gave him a harsh yank that nearly pulled him over.
Oddly enough, Tsuna really really wished Reborn was here.

Thane stopped and fixed a flat stare on Tsuna. It was direct eye contact, and for a second there the boy's eyes didn't even seem human. He released Tsuna's hand and looked at the head for a moment. Thane didn't want him to kill the teenager, so...
"Thane" made no words as he walked over to where the head lay. The eyes were still open, their glass-like reflection resembling those of a doll's. Without any hesitation the "boy" grabbed the head by the hair and yanked it up, making sure he was standing in the light in a way that Tsuna would get a good look at him.
"You don't understand the situation you're in, do you?" the boy who was making it rather evident he wasn't Thane stated. He held up the head a bit, probably drawing Tsuna's eyes to it if they weren't already there, "Get out of here before your fragile psyche becomes further damaged."
Hell, he barely even sounded like Thane now, with the dark edge his voice was gaining.

As Thane fixed a relatively flat stare on him, Tsuna started to fidget a bit. Something wasn't right, he was certain of it now. And then he released Tsuna's hand, and looked directly at the head. That eliminated any doubts Tsuna had as to the boy being aware of it. And then he walked over to it, grabbing it and yanking it up. Tsuna felt sick. He had to put a hand over his mouth to prevent vomiting as bile rose in his throat. He wasn't entirely sure what was going on at this very moment, but he no longer felt safe.
And then he held the head up a bit. Tsuna's eyes remained fixed on it as Thane's voice darkened even more. He didn't sound like himself any more. Not like the carefree boy that Tsuna had first seen him as. Not even like the mature young man that had tried to console the teenager when he freaked out. Tsuna felt insane for thinking so, but this person in front of him, this being... it wasn't Thane any more. And that made him nervous, terrified, even. But the situation with the Vongola Rings, that had admittedly hardened Tsuna up a bit. While he was still obviously freaking out, he refused to move until he knew what was going on.
"Y-you're not the nice boy from before! You're a monster! What'd you do to him?" Tsuna asked, trying NOT to sound like he was freaking the hell out. Which he was.

The boy frowned at Tsuna's yell. Misguided heroics? He'd seen that kill hundreds of humans in the past. He looked at the head and dropped it to the ground, watching it roll with a dull expression. He only looked back up at Tsuna after the not so living head stopped moving. It lead to a full minute of staring, as the decapitated body part shook a bit after it had stopped rolling.
"Thane is resting right now. I explained to him you wouldn't get the point simply from his words," the boy narrowed his eyes, and the brown suddenly seemed to "melt" so that they were more like the tall oval of a cat. They also shifted to a vivid shade of red, "I won't let him stop me from killing you this time."

Well, that all but confirmed everything for Tsuna. He wasn't sure if it was a situation EXACTLY like with Chrome and Mukuro, but from the sound of it, something else WAS in Thane's body. Using his mouth to speak, his eyes(...sort of) to see, his legs to stand. Even though it was Thane and not him, Tsuna felt extremely violated. He didn't know exactly HOW it had happened, but the point was, in Tsuna's mind, Thane was in trouble. And maybe he could help him... but it wasn't like he had Reborn around to shoot him with the Dying Will bullet. But if it came to it, he supposed he DID have a bottle of Dying Will PILLS.
"D-don't worry, Thane!" Tsuna began, having heard the creature mention a 'Thane'. "I'll save you!"
Yes. The terrified teenager had every intention of stopping the demon that had just decapitated a man. Yes.

The boy narrowed his eyes as Tsuna dug a hand into his pocket? A weapon? He shot his left hand out to the side and a black mist-like aura could be seen enveloping the hand by anyone with a set of eyes. The aura shot up and down. From the top and to the side opposite the boy's head, a line of energy shot out. It expanded up and down as details formed from the mist. In a flash of black energy the scythe that the demon Tsuna had nearly been decapitated by appeared. This had taken maybe three seconds.
The boy spun the weapon twice his height around and held it out in front of him in a defensive posture. The coloring in his eyes had changed completely by this point, with the whites being yellow and the iris bright red and pointed. It didn't even resemble a cat's anymore, but looked demonic. Two draconic wings shot out from the boy's back, shredding his shirt and extending to full length.
"This is your final warning, human!" the "boy" warned.

Tsuna wasn't thinking. One couldn't blame him, given his current situation, but Tsuna was not thinking. Admittedly he was handling the current situation quite well. Indeed, most would have fainted from fright by the time the "boy" before him pulled out his scythe, holding it out in front of him in a defensive posture. His eyes sent chills up Tsuna's spine, with their demonic appearance.
So, yes, he wasn't thinking. Because if he WAS thinking, Tsuna would have made sure to put the Vongola X Gloves on BEFORE taking a Dying Will pill. But no. He quickly pulled out the bottle, popping a pill and putting it into his mouth. For a brief moment he got a bit of a faraway stare. And then, a very visible flame appeared on his forehead. In an instant the boy's worry, his fear, seemed to evaporate. He took a glance down at his bare hands, realizing his mistake. No matter, he'd fought gloveless before, in regular Dying Will mode. Surely it would be possible in Hyper Dying Will mode.
"I'll only ask once. Let Thane go or I'll put you away."

The boy watched as Tsuna pulled out... a bottle of pills. He raised a single eyebrow in response to this, quite unsure what the boy intended on doing. Hey didn't appear to be explosive, a thought confirmed when one was popped into the teenager's mouth. And then he spaced out and what the boy could only compare to the flame sometimes put off by souls appeared on his forehead.
He frowned as the teenager made the demand. Let Thane go? Well of course, he didn't understand. There was a rather large difference in the teenager now. For one, he didn't seem frightened anymore. He could sense that in humans, and there was an eerie calm radiating now. He shook his head in response to the order, preparing to dodge an attack should it come to that.
"I can't do that," the boy replied.

Tsuna noticed something in the way "Thane" spoke. He mentioned that he couldn't. He didn't say that he didn't wish to, not even that he wouldn't, but that he couldn't. Which implied that he was physically unable to leave the boy. But that left a gaping question in Tsuna's mind, clearer now that he'd entered this form.
Why?
"Why can't you? You went in, so you should be able to go back out the way you came." Tsuna continued to speak, unmoving as of yet. Admittedly, if he didn't like the answer he received, he'd be really left with no choice but to attack. He couldn't just leave Thane in there, presumably scared and alone. The boy probably had a family that was worried for him, Tsuna surmised. Someone waiting back at home for him.

The boy seemed confused at the lack of aggression. Or fear. What had the teenager before him taken, anyways? It had to be some sort of magic given the flame and attitude shift. There was no indication it wasn't the boy from before though. He relaxed a bit, loosening his grip on the scythe. He was still prepared if things went badly, however.
"He would die," the boy stated.

Tsuna paused for a moment, staring blankly in Thane's direction. He wasn't... entirely sure how to respond to that. It gave him bad Chrome flashbacks, terrible Chrome flashbacks. But this was... different. Even though it was really reminding him of Chrome, whenever Mukuro's consciousness took over, his body was also dominant. And he supplied Chrome her organs, so... what did the creature inside Thane provide him?
"Why? Why would he have to die? You could find another body, and just keep him alive!" Tsuna responded. Well, Mukuro kept Chrome alive without having to constantly be in a battle for dominance, and he was kind of sort of almost dead, so...
Tsuna was distracted, however, from a voice from above. A slightly distracting voice, at that. As it was a voice he'd heard before, a voice he knew.
"Tsuna."

The boy scowled. While it was true he hadn't explained the details (he didn't need to be reminded of that, thank you), he saw no real reason why he would have to. Putting that issue at ease, he tightened his grip on the scythe again. He needed to relax, it was not as if he would go through with it. He would kill Tsuna first, and honor his commitment.
"He will die if I release him," the boy lifted the scythe up and in a quick flourish pointed the blade at Tsuna, "However, if you're that desperate he go free, your body would be more suiting to my spirit."
He hesitated at the new voice. At this rate, he would have to kill everyone who had interfered. His eyes flicked to the side, but he couldn't see the person in possession of the voice easily. He leapt back half a second after that, the wings he had sprouted extending to full length and providing a guided landing. On the way down, he chose to discard the appearance he'd worn up to now. When he landed, just as prepared for a full fight as when he'd first summoned the scythe. The being that landed was the same being that had held the scythe to Tsuna's throat near the start of the encounter, complete with the different outfit.
"Numbers won't aid you," he stated, his voice now carrying the original dark maturity to match his appearance.

Tsuna wasn't entirely sure who Thane was expecting to find, but he knew he probably wasn't expecting Reborn. After all, it's not every day one sees a baby dressed like mafioso and carrying a pistol. It's one of those things you only see in stuff like anime, or manga. Then again, this was Dimensional Island, and Thane had mentioned something about that when he was still, well, Thane.
Tsuna's eyes went slightly misty for a moment. He was back. The home tutor that had made Tsuna's life a living hell, who had shown him wonderful, terrifying things, was back. Slowly, very slowly, the flame on his forehead receded. He smiled.
Reborn proceeded to leap from his vantage point and... land on Tsuna's head, knocking the boy over.
"Ow! Reborn!" Tsuna called back to the small assassin, rubbing a bump left on his head.
"You forgot to put your gloves on." Reborn stated simply, pulling them from Tsuna's pocket and slapping the teen with them. He then looked up to where the... thing had landed. He wasn't sure what to call him, really. Even Tsuna could tell that he wasn't exactly Thane any more, so what could they all him... it... her?
"Ciaossu." Reborn said simply, turning towards "Thane".

The thing Thane had become pretty much dropped its guard at that. If he'd been getting an aura from it, sure, he would have dealt. He'd seen demons and angels alike pull unusual appearances for various purposes. This... just seemed to be a baby. The scythe vanished in a bit of black mist and Hades gave a neutral stare to the child. He then began to speak in stilted Italian, the sort of which someone who knew the language but had never had real world practice with it might use.
< "If you know the teenager, then get him out of here. I'll kill him if he gets in my way." >
