A few days had passed. Never had the residence been so quiet… the town outside their humble home was small and uneventful, but it seemed like a bustling mecca compared to the chilled stillness in the air inside the House of Blue Leaves.
It almost felt taboo to speak to one another. Nothing but small exchanges, watching over a terribly confused and cranky Marion, before descending back into silence. Much LESS did they want to venture into the bedroom… not since he had shut himself inside. The door wasn’t locked, nothing was stopping anyone, but no one, no one came in except to deliver food to not one, but two mouths. After all, one person refused to leave his side, and after everything the angel had done for him, no one could blame him.
Eddward continued to lay deathly still, face half submerged in his pillow, his wings flopped uselessly over his back. Part of him acknowledged that Kyle was there beside him, but he gave no outward sign that he was acknowledging anything at the moment. His eyes were dull, his body was numb, and his heart was very, very heavy. He hadn’t spoken at all since the day of Felix’s departure, lost in the tangled web of his thoughts.
Part of him knew one day that it would come to this… he stubbornly remained in his positive outlook, remembering the promises they made, to live long and die and ascend into Heaven together. It seemed like eons ago, when he took young Felix in from the harsh snows, to that small apartment, when their love was still young and innocent, the first kiss they shared, the first act of intimacy that led to their first-born child and all the follies and joys that came with her arrival… the battles they fought and won together, the tragedy and heartache they endured together, the beautiful moments, as rare as they were, they shared…
…when had that all soured? They had something so strong, the cosmos and deities always seemed to work in favor of the star-crossed souls… when did everything begin to fall apart? Did Eddward not see it? Was he so terribly caught in this delusion that he couldn’t see this crumbling around him?
The pain of rejection and loneliness was joined by guilt fairly quickly. Eddward continuously caught himself considering alternative outcomes to so many of his decisions until he had well convinced himself that he was to blame for all of this. For ignorance, if nothing else.
If he hadn’t lunged for Masahiro, Felix wouldn’t have been tempted.
If he hadn’t lost control, he wouldn’t have lunged at Masahiro.
If he hadn’t touched the sickness, Aku wouldn’t have infected him and he wouldn’t have lost control.
If he didn’t have these powers, he wouldn’t feel obligated to try and cure every shred of darkness he came across.
If he hadn’t become an angel in the first damn place, none of this would’ve ever happened.[/b]
Eddward felt like scum. If Felix committed these sins in his name, only to drop them, it was only proof to him of his worthlessness. How did he become the Angel of Light? Look at all the grief it was causing. Things were not nearly as terrible before he had been reborn. Why couldn’t he have just passed on like any other mortal? What made him so special? He certainly wasn’t capable of guarding his own charge, much less the rest of his friends and family; often enough they always seemed to be saving HIM or fighting battles he was too weak to fight. He barely had a solid hold on his own powers after all this time. What had he done to deserve these wings? He certainly wasn’t earning to keep them after all that he had let happened did.
Why… why? Eddward was so confused and distraught. He wanted things to be simple again… he wanted things to turn back to before even coming to this island. He wanted…
…he wanted this pain to go away. More than anything else.

The house may have been silent, but that didn't mean a few people weren't doing things. After Gantz had knocked a hole in the wall, Crow had taken it upon herself to do repairs to the wall, with the occasional help of the others. Normally, this was Kyle's job, but Kyle hadn't left that room in days. He hadn't left his side since Felix had left.
Mr. Copycat had begun stopping by the house every now and then. Sometimes he'd bring along his own son, Cody, but not often. But today, he was absent from the house, likely off doing whatever Doppelgangers did at their Doppelganger jobs. Crow didn't pay much attention to the Island's indigenous sentient species.
Crow stepped back from the hole in the wall and frowned. She was going to have to speak to Gantz again about being more careful with his powers in the house. They were all superpowered freaks here, but at least he could be more careful. People stayed alive longer that way.
------------------------
This was Kyle's place to be. It was where he belonged, and it was where he would stay. The silence of the room was smothering, but Kyle had tuned it out after the first day. He was used to it now.
Had this been a normal circumstance, Kyle knew Trevor would be taunting him for his unwillingness to leave his side. The jokes about how much of a wimp and girl he was had abounded after he'd joined their family, but Kyle had taken them in stride. There weren't any jokes now.
Felix had never deserved him. That much Kyle was assured of. He had been kind, selfless, the one who had, after five long years of hell, finally saved him. Felix had never done anything for Kyle. All Kyle had seen from the man was cruel indifference, murderous hate, and a focus on only one thing: his lover. His lover he killed for, and his lover he finally insulted to his face.
He had been crushed by Felix's leaving, but Kyle knew he had to get through this. No matter what, Kyle was going to help him through this the same was he had helped him through the hell with Oni. Eddward didn't need Felix. Not anymore.

King didn't know what to do. Even Fletcher was lost, shocked by all of this. Then there was Trevor. Trevor had taken such a hard blow. Like Edd, he had known the boy from when he was more tender, more sweet, even if it wasn't from the very beginning. He thought good Felix would last forever. Trevor was drunk out of his mind at the moment. His face was red and he was hic-cupping. Nobody told him anything, however, because he wasn't messing around with anyone. He didn't even jest with Kyle, realizing that someone needed to comfort Edd in his moment of depression. Who wouldn't be hurt? Trevor remembered the hell he felt when Dederick had betrayed him, but he had been able to move on fast because the relationship hadn't been as sweet. But Edd...
There was a knock on the door. Trevor got up. Staggering and stumbling over himself, the overabundance of alcohol killing his coordination, it took King and Lucy to help him get to the door and, when they opened it, shit really hit the fan. Everything had been in vain. All the hell they had faced, Felix's insanity combined with his idiocy, all the mourning and sadness... all for nothing. Masahiro had been the root of all this sadness. His death had caused it. Perceval had learned who really killed his lover and even he had been unable to forgive Felix. Even he felt the rage that everyone else felt for Felix's vanity. Masahiro was supposed to be dead as his death was the cause of all this. So how dare he stand in front of the house, looking like he had just come back from a minor trip?
"I'm sorry it took me so long to come back," Masahiro said. "I needed some time to fully regenerate my body and blood stream, so it took me a few days. I thought I was a goner for sure, but it seemed the Phoenix seal worked and brought me back to life. I figured precautions were neces..."
"So you weren'tz dead after all?!" Trevor slurred, though he seemed rather hostile about it. King just looked awestruck. Lucy was also stunned, yet she also feared Trevor's drunken wrath.
"Errr... noooo," Masahiro said. Before he could speak on, Trevor's drunken fist slammed into his face, knocking him back to the ground.
"YOUZ A MOTHERFUCKER, THEN, MAKING US BELIEVEZ YOU WERE DEA-hic!" Trevor then fell over and King had to catch him. Masahiro rubbed the area where he was punched and looked at the other two with confusion in his eyes.
"What's going on?" he asked. "Why did Trevor attack me?"
"We all thought you were dead, we..." King sighed. "While you were dead, Patchouli and Mr. Copycat told us about how you were assaulted by Felix, which led to your death. Naturally, we let Felix know we weren't gonna accept it, and then... Felix assaulted Double D."
"... ... ... What?" Masahiro asked weakly. "Assaulted... Edd?"
"That's correct," Lucy said. "Double D was just so hurt that Felix would do such a thing and then... Felix called him a broken pussy and almost looked like he wanted to slap him. I'd never seen everyone so angry. Kyle, Eddy... Gantz..."
"And as well they should be!" Masahiro snarled. "Felix, you... backstabbing, manipulative, childish, fiendish, two-faced, cowardly, ignorant, selfish, hopeless, mind-fucked, powerless, moronic, insane, demonic son of a whorish bitch!" His fists clenched, he looked at King and asked, "How long have I been dead?"
"A few days... Perceval's been shut in his room without you... But... I'm sorry, you can't..."
"I must... do you think I'd let Percy suffer?" Masahiro asked.
"You have to!" King said. "You'll only cause Double D to suffer more; he'll think everything is hopeless. Masahiro, I'm begging you, as cruel as it is, do not see Percy. Let him continue to think you're dead. Break your ties and... let him move on and find someone else."
Masahiro sighed and looked at King regretfully. "I can't, King. I promised Percy I'd never leave him. Through thick or thin, whether alive or dead... I want to be with my lover."
"Then you're just as selfish as Felix!" King said. "To let Double D suffer like that... you ought to be hated as well!"
"Perhaps... Hate me all you want then, King." With that, Masahiro knocked onto Percy's room. "Perceval, it's me... Masahiro. Please... I need to explain something to you... like, for starters, why I'm back."

The room went just as quiet again. But this time out of shock. Fletcher nearly dropped the block of stone he was about to add to the wall.
“Wait… wait wait wait…” As if Eddy hadn’t been angry enough… well, he was fucking confused more than anything else. “You… you didn’t die. So this…. THIS WAS ALL FOR…!!”
“Hey,” Raz hissed, punching him lightly in the arm. “…come on. Keep it down, will you?”
This wasn’t to say he wasn’t angry too. Ohhhh, he had a LOT to say on this. But he knew an outburst would be less productive here than otherwise. Masahiro just plain wasn’t GETTING the situation.
“So… first you lie to us about sacrificing yourself. Okay, I can get that. Then you walk in fully healed days later, after we all think you’re dead. Fine, maybe that was beyond your control. Whatever.”
He raised a brow. “…but then you just expect everything to be just fine? You think you can just waltz in without consequence and pretend that everything’s okay and ignore everyone except Percy? I mean, great. You’re alive. That’s awesome. Percy has a chance to get you back. Who wouldn’t want that?”
He took a step forward. “Well, guess what? Double D doesn’t GET that chance. He lost Felix mainly because of what happened to YOU. He lost a longer, stronger relationship than you two’ve been in, no offense, because he was a turned into a goddamn monster and couldn’t control himself. Percy’s been grieving for you, yeah, but he’s been coming out of his room, he’s been healing. Double D has not MOVED since Felix left. I have to make an effort to block his thoughts of depression and self-worthlessness because they’re so damn strong.
“And yet you feel soooo obligated to your relationship and for things to get right back to normal for YOU. So Double D lost everything… for nothing?? For nothing!? You get to automatically have your life back and he doesn’t!? Do you know how completely WRONG that is?! And you don’t seem to care at all! Who are YOU to say you promised to be with Percy forever, when Double D was given the same promise and tossed aside!? After what he’s done for you, how can you slap him in the face like that?!
“I mean, you know, I don’t think you should never see Percy again, that’s not fair to HIM, and Double D WILL eventually recover too, but dammit, can’t you be a LITTLE more sensitive and wait?! Is Double D the only angel here that has a little heart!?”
It was a little surprising, to hear coming from the usually laid-back psychic kid. But it needed to be said, and he did it without breaking a wall down.
Still… just near the door… Percy had heard everything. Michiko was his interpreter, as shaky as her voice was. And he was in tears. He wanted more than anything to burst through the door and embrace his lover close… but… but what about Eddward? How was any of this fair to him?
----------------
Eddward wasn’t actually aware of any of these goings-on. Even if Kyle had heard them, they never reached the angel. Even so, he was struck with a sudden, unexplainable grief when Kyle shifted beside him, making brief contact with his arm. Immediately, he was reminded of the countless nights he slept beside him… the constant warmth brought on by something as simple as a caress, a cuddle, an embrace…
Edd had taken it all for granted. He adored those sensual touches, to feel loved, to be nurtured… and he was awash with a realization that he would never get that again. No one would ever want to, or even be ABLE to, grow as close to his pathetic soul as Felix did. No one. They were literal soul mates; they shared soul names. They gave each other a piece of their souls. And now Felix had taken that away with him, had taken a piece of Ddwen with him… what could possibly fill that hole?
His still form finally stirred, shaking madly. He felt so cold… so cold…! He needed… needed…!
Whimpering, he reached out blindly for the closest source of warmth, and gained a feverish grip on Kyle’s wrist.

((OOC: Gantz, we're skipping over you for now. My post will finish up the things on Masahiro's end for now, and once you post, we'll continue on that end.))
Crow had jumped down from where she was working on the wall as the door opened. She had run over as Masahiro appeared, and she was glaring at him. She didn't say anything until Raz finished, but her thoughts mirrored many of the others'. Then she pushed past the group and stood in front of him. She stood at the same height as Masahiro, and she was staring into his eyes as she spoke.
"You're a little fucking bastard. You have no idea what we've been through without you. You have no idea what we're going through because you didn't come to us and explain what the hell you were planning! This all could have been avoided if you'd just said something!" Crow yelled. "Because of you, Felix has fallen, Double D's dying of a broken heart, and Percy, your fucking lover, is probably the only person here who's actually recovering from things.
"But you know what? Maybe it would be better if Percy could just move on without you. Maybe it would just be better if all of the fucking angels got out of this house. You make me ashamed. If this is what angels are really like, then I'm glad I don't remember that time. I'm glad I fell. Get the fuck out, Masahiro!" Crow unfurled her wings menacingly as she said that. Maybe the others felt Masahiro should come back eventually, but Crow felt differently.
----------------
...Someone was yelling in the other room. Kyle didn't know who, but someone was yelling. Their voices all melded into one after a while, and eventually, he ignored them.
Kyle jerked as Double D suddenly grabbed his wrist. He wheeled around and looked over at Double D with a confused expression.
"Do you need me to get something?" Kyle asked quietly. It was the most he'd said in the past few days, and his voice surprised him. It was almost like he'd forgotten what he sounded like.

"....ngh..." Double D used the leverage to pull himself up into a sitting position, panting smally in uneven intervals and moaning in between. Not once did he release Kyle's wrist, not even as his gaze remained fixed downwards at the sheets beneath him. He was still trembling, biting his lip. "I...cold... so cold...!"
His lips were trembling, wanting to pucker, needing contact. He needed someone to hold again. He needed someone to love again. When his wide-eyed gaze finally snapped up to meet Kyle's, there was no rational thought present. Only a deep, aching need that needed to be filled, NOW.
Letting out a strained whimper, Edd took hold of Kyle's face with both hands and pulled him into a maddening, desperate kiss.

"Double D what are you-- mmph!"
Kyle's words were cut off by a muffled gasp as Double D pulled him into a kiss. He tried to pull away, but Double D's grasp was too strong. He felt the angel's tongue work into his mouth, and eventually, Kyle just stopped struggling.
The affection Kyle held for Double D was of a non-romantic sort. Kyle loved Double D the way one would love a family member. Kyle saw Double D as a brother of sorts, and really the only family Kyle had now that both his mother and father were dead. But he knew why Double D was doing this, and his hate for Felix only intensified. And so he let Double D continue.

When he wasn't met with resistance, Double D only deepened it, his lips smacking gently against Kyle's. Quickly, his hands came down to wrap around Kyle's torso, appreciating the curves, as masculinely minimal as they were. His fingers clenched and loosened at the boy's clothes to their esablished rhythem; they would've already been underneath fabric and touching skin had not Kyle's shirt been tucked into his vest.
His tongue quickly began its quest inside his current partner's moist cavern, gently touching the other tongue, coaxing it to join him. And all the timem he continued whimpering, a small trail of tears lining his cheeks. He wanted... needed...

Kyle didn't like this. It felt wrong, because he didn't want this. He had never wanted this. If this was what Double D wanted, he'd do it. If Double D took them all the way, he'd go all the way.
But it wouldn't be what he wanted.
He closed his eyes as he felt the tears running down Double D's cheeks. He couldn't do this, but he'd persevere through it anyways. Just for Double D. He'd said he'd do anything for him, and he'd meant it. Even as Double D tried to get him to join in, he didn't return the kiss.

Getting no response, his fogged-up mind told him to do what came naturally, and that was disconnect from the lips and trace a line of kisses along the thin jawline and down to his neck, coupled with soft caresses; one hand one his ribcage, the other gently running through his hair. That usually did the trick to get him aroused...
...to get Felix aroused. But this wasn't Felix, was it?
Wasn't.......oh.
Oh... oh god.
"......nnnhagh!!" Edd couldn't have possibly leaped away from Kyle fast enough, almost falling off the bed. His hands came straight up to slap over his mouth, his damp eyes impossibly wider.
"K....K-Kyle, I.... oh, god, I...!" He began to feel sick all over again. What.... what on earth had come OVER him...?

Otto, whom along with Wally, was also greatly enraged at the sight of Masahiro being alive and well. The only reason why he hadn't said anything until now? Eh, blame the author...
Nah, let's not go there.
Wally and Otto (Otto, whom had recently gained the needed hair-cut since the trusty bandanna that hid his excess hair was no longer in his ownership) had been playing cards in the kitchen, when they had heard all the commotion. Gantz would've been playing with them if he were still there. Merely a day ago, Gantz had turned on the TV to catch a little bit of the news before someone forced it off, to keep things silent. He understood of course, and he respected the guys dedication...
But that didn't mean he didn't have his OWN family to consider too. And it was a good thing he had turned on the news the other day. Just before Eddy could turn the TV off, the boy had caught wind of what sounded like a murderer wearing Red wandering around Industrial Park. Sure it was a hunch, but he knew he had to act on it. He greivously apologized before leaving, promising it to be a quick time of leave, but thus far he had yet to return.
In the mean-time, Wally and Otto spent their days in the silence, for Double D's sake. Though Wally, not disrespectfully of course, was easily bored, and needed something to pass the time by.
Thus the scene with the two prior to Otto hearing the shouting and rushing to investigate, Wally not to far behind him.
Cut to present...
"You have got to be THE most inconsiderate DOU@#E OF ALL TIME, you little RAT."
Honestly, that surprised Otto a fair bit; He wasn't even aware that monks KNEW those kind of words. But back to case in point, he turned to Masahiro growling. "Don't you realize what your 'Sacrifice' has DONE, you little prick?!" His hands turned into jet black claws upon saying that, "Look, I can understand your want to keep your promise... But maybe you should've THOUGHT about that before you went through that bull$#it idea of yours without consulting any of US. You know, your FRIENDS?"

"I was right all along. Angels are worthless creatures," King said. "The only angel that's ever been good to anyone is Double D, and he started off human like is. Weak, low, sinful, or so you angels say, yet he's the purest of all of us while you arrogant fucks think you can do whatever you like. Well you know what Masahiro, I'm not glad you came back, in fact..." King took out the sphere he had found that day, he had used it to save Fletcher and Percy alongside the very angel he now took it out on. Turning it into a revolver, he aimed right at Masahiro's head and cocked the hammer back. "If you don't leave right now, I'm going to pull this trigger and kill you once again. Maybe if I kill you, none of this will have been in vain. I hate you, I hate your God. All of you, except poor Double D, need to destroy your own fucking worthless existances!"
Masahiro looked stunned and hurt as sin. However, unlike Felix, he could learn to comprehend the situation at heart. And, finally getting what they were saying, he began to back off and, with hurt tears in his eyes, flew away. In truth, it really was beyond his power. He didn't want to worry anyone because who would really let him sacrifice himself, even for Edd's sake. But it seemed that everything he did for his friend was for him to be sent away into exile for nothing.
Trevor, on the other hand, patted King on the back. "You didz the right thing," he slurred drunkedly.
"... ... ... Then why do I feel like crap?"
"Humanz guilt, King, humanz guilt. But you toldz him what ya had to, so itz ok."
"Coming from a drunk man... that doesn't seem like much," King said. "But I still agree with what I believe and with Crow. Percy could use a better..."
"You're heartless!" Lucy said, coming out of Percy's room. "You're absolutely heartless! Telling him that so loud that Percy could hear every word, you stupid...!" Giving no hint that she was gonna do so, she thrust her foot right between King's legs, causing him to fall over. Trevor picked her up by the collar of the shirt and she began to slap at his face, causing him to let go before she turned on Crow. "And you! Don't you understand that he did what he did for Double D?! Do you think anyone would've let him make the sacrifice he made to bring Double D back?! And yet you go and treat him like that, with no respect whatsoever! At least Razputin had the decency to tell him what he needed to hear, but you just ridicule and demean him! You know what?! You are nothing more then a self-centered, egotistical bitch! And go ahead, attack me for insulting you! DO IT! I'D LOVE TO SEE THE EXACT REASON WHY YOU FELL, YOU LITTLE BITCH!"
Needless to say, Lucy was put back into Percy's room, but King and Trevor remained silent after that, thinking about what exactly was said in the end.

"Oh shut up, you little brat! You and I both know everyone would have let him do it if they knew he'd come back! Don't even start with me!" Crow was talking over Lucy as she yelled back at the little girl. Not even the comment about falling bothered Crow. Crow didn't know nor care why she fell anymore, and she wasn't in any hurry to become a normal angel again after seeing what had happened here.
Crow didn't move from where she was standing. She only closed the door and went back to fixing the hole in the wall. "Angels are scum. Humans are the only truly righteous beings," she said as she furled her wings up against her back and stepped back up on the stepladder to continue nailing some boards in.
She paused and pulled a nail from her jacket's pocket before she continued her repairs. "And children are fools."
------------------
Kyle winced as Double D finally pulled his mouth off of his own and began tracing the line of kisses along his jawline. There was an uncomfortable caressing of his scalp and chest, and Kyle was starting to struggle again. This was... uncomfortable. Very uncomfortable.
Kyle fell back down onto the bed as Double D finally pulled away. He sat there for a moment before sitting back up again. Kyle had the same expression on his face as he spoke.
"...It's okay," Kyle said. He reached over and removed Double D's hand from his mouth.

Silence once again hit the house.
"...ungh..." Raz sighed, rubbing his head. "THAT.... could've turned out a lot better."
"...p...pourquoi...?"
Heads turned to the bedroom hallway as Perceval stepped out, only Ed escorting him; the others remained with Marion. Thank goodness she had someone like Tina keeping her busy, else she would've been crankier than she already was.
Percy was close to tears, but had wiped them away, thought it hardly lowered his distraught confusion. Ed stood with a disapproving pout beside him.
"Pourquoi l'avez-vous renvoyé?" he pleaded again. "Nous pourrions en avoir parlé. Nous pourrions avoir calculé quelque chose!"
Fletcher sighed. "Well, so much for him not learning. Though I'm not surprised considering how loud everyone got..." He came down to Percy's level and explained the situation to him; perhaps they could find Masahiro later and work things through, but he promised the boy they wouldn't give up on him. Percy nodded, gave him a quick hug, and let him rejoin Crow fixing the wall.
The Brit sighed as he picked up the stone he had dropped for the frame. "...what a blasted mess..."
-----------------
Double D instantly shied away at Kyle's touch, repulsed at himself. What was the matter with him!? What had possessed him to think grabbing Kyle and practically molesting him would make his sense of horrid loss any better??
It's okay... no, it was NOT okay, Edd was shaking his head feverishly. "N-no, no, I, I... I can't... I won't ever ge...!"
But... what had hit him worse? The disgust over his actions? Or the fact that he got no response? He did all the right things, tried to put feeling into it... had he lost more than he thought before? Did Felix also take away his ability to ever be given signs of affection anymore?
Awash with fresh, brand new grief, Edd's head sank on his shoulders as he curled inward.
"I... I'll never... never..." he blubbered, wracking with sobs. "...b-be able to g-get that ever again... w-will I...? ...no one'll ever... ever want to be close to me... not like.... ohhhh, god, Kyle, I'm so cold...!"

As soon as Otto confirmed that Masahiro was gone, he lowered his claws (Them transforming back into human hands as he did), he groaned uneasily, feeling decidedly crummy. "Gah... Hated doing that..."
Wally's look of anger left as well, and he looked just as bad as Otto. "Y-yeah... Me too." Looking to the others, he shook his head dismally. " And L-Lucy has a point t-too mates... If Masahiro had come forward to us with this plan... Would we have agreed to it?"
"It was a risky plan to begin with. So much so, that we probably wouldn't have." Needless to say, the answer to Wally's question made him sigh sadly. "Still... We did what we had to do... If Double D knew Masahiro was alive after what all had happened... Lord only knows how he'd react..."
