Castiel turned to face Faruq as he entered. This was.. new. He'd run into demons before, but being in this creature's very presence caused him to feel... different. He occasionally ran into problems of his vessel's emotions or needs getting in the way, making him susceptible to things such as, say, the Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Particularly Famine. But that was beside the point. The point was, in the part of this body that Jimmy Novak's soul still resided, he felt emotion bubble over. But it wasn't fear as would be normally expected, but a very faint... rage. Odd.
Sam on the other hand ran to Dean. He didn't stop to pay attention to Castiel or Faruq. Not after he noticed that his brother was unconscious. When family was in danger, everything else faded away, and their safety was all that was important. And right now, Dean wasn't just sick, Dean was unconscious. He grasped his brother by the shoulders as he reached him, shaking him.
"Dean! Dean! HELP! I NEED SOME HELP OVER HERE!" Samuel called for staff, a nurse, a doctor, someone. Castiel, on the other hand, remained focused on Faruq, unmoving.
"Who are you? Why have you chosen this place?" Castiel asked.
--
Egon nodded. Yes, if Daniel were indeed still 'alive', then he was in serious danger... their options were obvious. He and William would just have to go bail him out as Daniel had done for Egon hours earlier.
"I think we could likely use my PKE meter to find the caped mastermind from before. If he has Daniel, it seems to be our best course of-" Egon stopped, however, as an unsuccessful attempt to rise to his feet ended in him wincing in pain. He was in no condition to go anywhere, and he knew it.

Faruq raised an eyebrow at Castiel's barely visible twitch. No no, whether Castiel was aware of it or not it wasn't the twitch that Faruq had noticed at all. It was the emotion, plain and simple. One did not become associated with a certain Sin and miss a viable source of... "food", as it were. He politely stepped to the side as the same nurse from before rushed past him and continued to speak to Castiel.
"The reason anyone is any where does seem to be because of stupid decisions on their part, doesn't it?" Faruq shrugged, "Finding someone to blame always helps."
The nurse ran up beside Sam and went into action. Screw protocol. She hissed as she touched Dean's forehead and gave a glare towards Sam, "If his temperature is this high you should have used the emergency entrance! We have a diagnostic teleporter for a reason!" -----
William looked ashamed as Egon tried to get up. Of course, the man Daniel had put himself in so much risk to save was too ill to do much of anything. For the time being, however, it was Daniel who was in danger. He walked over to where Egon was laying and put his hand on the PKE meter... before drawing it back quickly and hopping backwards. He had thought for a moment his ears were going to bleed from the high pitched scratchy wailing it was making. He shook his head, his hands remaining over his ears.
"I have not the ability to sense him under my own power, but it would appear your strange device reacts poorly to my presence. I do not feel comfortable remaining here with that spirit seeking the blood of both myself and Daniel."
The PKE meter had quieted down, but really, it hadn't done much in the way of shutting up the whole time the conversation had gone on. That was the problem with using those things around ghosts and related phenomena.

Castiel wasn't sure why Faruq's answer bothered him so much. It could have been anything, ranging from his vessel to his own current predicament. But the point was, Faruq's response pissed the angel off. For the first time in a long while, Castiel felt angry. Ultimately and completely angry.
"Give me one good reason I shouldn't kill you now." Castiel stated. Honestly, though, it was mostly his(or his vessel's) growing rage talking. If he fought the creature before him, he would die. It was, quite frankly, as simple as that. He'd heard from the older angels, back in the garrison, that on rare occasion God would bring back a murdered angel. It wasn't a theory Castiel wanted to test any time soon.
But then Castiel's eyes widened as surprise began to overtake him. He'd been so caught up in his rising emotions that he hadn't realized. This could all be connected, somehow. The Winchesters being sent here, his anger, this creature, the pieces were there, he just had to put together the puzzle. Keeping his dagger raised, he continued.
"What do you know of the Winchesters?" Castiel questioned.
Sam, on the other hand, was preoccupied. He had no idea what a 'diagnostic teleporter' was, and right now it wasn't important. He'd ask later, Dean was the priority.
"Please, can you help him?" Sam asked as the nurse leaped into action.
--
Well, that was a problem. William could neither use the PKE meter nor sense Daniel or Vlad under his own power. Egon was quickly running out of ideas, and Daniel was likely running out of time...
"Perhaps running off straight away isn't the best of ideas. After all, he seemed rather intent on destroying you as well. Maybe we should look around the hospital for clues as to Daniel's whereabouts, as you can't come in contact with my PKE meter. Nor am I in any condition to search this strange area for him."

Faruq smirked at Castiel's question. He didn't know this Castiel, but it seemed pretty blatent he was using a vessel. That only confirmed further what he'd already figured out. Low ranked angel. Then again, it was a rare angel that could make their own human form, but really, the guy had a death wish. Or his vessel did, the man had a feeling the emotions were from that. He looked annoyed as Castiel seemed to be lost in thought.
"Winchester, winchester...? What, the gun?" Faruq was honestly confused, actually. The Demon Lords didn't really keep in touch much, and that thing had been mostly Lucifer's gambit, "As for killing me, I haven't done jack. This is a hospital, dumbass. They'd lock you up if you tried that."
"It shouldn't be a problem," she said, speaking rushed and quiet. She lifted her head, "We've got a bad fever over here! Given that rainstorm last night, might be pnemonia! I need some help with this guy!"

Well, that was vaguely reassuring to Castiel. The being before him didn't seem to know of the Winchesters... then again, he also didn't feel like your basic, run-of-the-mill demon. Then there was his surging anger... what exactly was the connection?
Castiel relaxed his shoulders, in an attempt to calm himself. This was no way for an Angel to present himself, Castiel knew that. Even so, he just couldn't seem to calm down. Just looking at Faruq, he wanted to abandon common since and attack him. He knew he'd be killed if he did, and he knew there was no justification as of yet... but wasn't there?
Castiel had been operating, for most of his 'life', on the belief that demons were by nature pure evil. There was no reason to doubt this, no sign from his father as to anything different. But his hands were tied. His powers were on the fritz, and Faruq also presented a good point. While Castiel didn't know much of people, he knew that if he outright attacked someone, he'd be forcibly detained. And it wasn't like he could just kill everyone in the room. Maybe not even use his Vulcan Nerve Pin-I mean, Angelic Forehead Tap to knock them out.
Castiel slowly, very slowly, returned his dagger to the inside of his trenchcoat. He straightened up, giving one last furtive glance towards Faruq before turning and walking towards Sam.
"Something's wrong." Castiel spoke quietly, having to lean down due to how Sam was standing.
"Yeah, Cas, Dean's unconscious for starters." Samuel responded, with a small glare. He'd tolerated Castiel thus far, but he had no reason to believe that Dean's current state of unconsciousness was anything but Castiel's fault. He'd teleported someone that was barely ready to be moved, let alone that crap Cas had just pulled.
"No, Sam. I know you're afraid for your brother, but... no. There's a powerful demon in the building and everyone hasn't died yet. Something's wrong."

Faruq seemed pleased with himself as Castiel quite visibly tried to calm himself down. Yep, he definitely wasn't talking to the angel in this equation. He seemed confused and annoyed as Castiel put the dagger away. He looked downright angry as Castiel turned away from him, ever so chalantly walking over to Sam and speaking. As if he wasn't even there? Castiel's back was turned to all this, and Sam was more focused on talking to him and keeping an eye on Dean and the nurse.
It was likely none of them saw just how pissed Faruq looked at being ignored thanks to all that. Little piss ant of an angel had no right to ignore him! He'd dealt with Barachiel hiding that pawn of the angels from him. He'd dealt with being ignored by his brethren and being stomped on by God in all his high and mighty... God...ness. Faruq shook his head, considering the energy that was still flowing from the angel's vessel, despite being weakened by the angel's attempts. It was enough to do something, wasn't it? And if those two men there shared a surname as implied... well, wouldn't pissing them off help more?
It was about now Castiel would feel a raise in energy. While it was true Faruq had been making no effort at concealing his aura, it had been at a standard level. This of course read as very high to Castiel, but for Faruq it had been a baseline. It now went up several notches and Faruq put his left hand on the wall beside him, pressing down that there was an indent left in the wall... in the shape of a wolf's paw. And that was when the shit hit the fan. -----
William looked frustrated at egon's very good points. He looked towards the door and considered. Their only option seemed to be to seek out Daniel as it was. Perhaps that creature had intended on destroying him, but hadn't he already outlived his natural lifespan by who knew how many years? He turned back to Egon to argue his point when the ground began to shake. William's eyes widened as the rather strong earthquake threw him to the side. He caught the edge of Egon's bed.
The PKE meter was having a flipping freakout. It didn't make the shaking any more pleasant, and William was quite certain that his ears were going to bleed out of his skull at this rate. Thankfully, a reprieve was granted when a spark jumped up from the meter. It was followed by a crackling and then a popping sound, and the smell of burnt electronics came from the device which now had a bit of smoke rising from it. It was very much in the way of dead. The only reason the quake didn't knock Egon out of his bed was because there were guards up and the thing was attached to the wall. Pretty much everything not nailed down hit the ground in the following few seconds, creating messes here and there. Shouts could be heard from the hallway, and it was seconds after an entire drawer shook itself out of a cupboard that the shaking stopped.
"What in the name of all that is sacred could possibly be transpiring?!" William asked, still shaky on his feet as he turned a wide eyed and somewhat terrified expression towards the door to the room. -----
That same quake had rocked about half of the hospital, and the reason it had set off the meter was its origin. It had ended as soon as the stretcher that was supposed to be for Dean had managed to spill to the side despite the staff's best interests. It had hit the ground with enough force that the guard on one side had snapped off, and the way it had fallen hadn't done much good for the two people guiding it either. One had hit his head on the side of the wall and was doing nothing more than twitching. The other had gotten caught as the stretcher hit the ground, and the leg trapped underneath seemed at an odd angle.
Faruq's expression was not human as he gave a grin that would have been more at place upon a hungry wolf. His teeth were showing, and his canines had accented themselves in a matter entirely unhuman as well. They were more comparable to some depictions of vampires at this point. His eyes had turned straight black, and the reflection on them was eerie. Not human, but more like a raven. When he spoke, there was a very inhuman reverb to it. It didn't care the narm many demon voices in television were known to. It was terrifying.
"I don't appreciate being ignored, angel."

That had been completely unexpected. Yes, Castiel had been shocked that the powerful demon had yet to kill anyone. Yes, he'd been expecting the moment to come when he went into a homicidal rage. No, he hadn't expected the surge in power or the blooming quake. Honestly, Castiel had been knocked off of his feet, having to grab on to a chair to avoid sliding into a wall, tossing an arm around Dean to stabilize him. Both of them, really. Sam hadn't been so lucky, getting tossed off of his feet and slamming his left shoulder into the wall closest to him. From the sound and feel of it, it was either broken or dislocated. Well, that was just grand.
"Sam! You have to get out of here!" Castiel called to the younger Winchester from his position, having to yell to be heard.
"I'm not leaving without Dean, Cas!" Sam retorted, attempting to push himself off the wall. The shaking, having not yet receded, was having none of that, causing the man to have to settle for falling on his abdomen and attempting to waddle towards Dean and Castiel's positions.
"Dean... I'm sorry." Castiel whispered, a solemn expression upon his face. As the shaking ended, he stood, turning to face Faruq.
"Sam. Get your brother and run." Castiel stated, frowning, reaching into his trenchcoat.
"But-" Sam began. While it was true that he wanted to get Dean to safety, he couldn't just... leave the angel. He'd complained about the current state of his powers, and the way he'd twitched as Faruq's power had flared... Sam wasn't sure he could handle it alone.
"Now, Sam. Go." Castiel stated with finality, having pulled free his dagger. Samuel gave one last look in the angel's direction before reaching for his brother, pulling one of Dean's arms over his shoulder. Castiel continued to stare Faruq down.
"I don't know who you are, but I am one of God's warriors, and I will not allow you to hurt these people." Castiel stated, glaring.
--
Egon was incredibly lucky. Due to the position of his bed and the guards, he hadn't been shaken out. He'd gotten shaken up quite a bit, but not tossed out of his bed. He'd heard his PKE meter as it fizzed out, but was too busy focusing on the GIANT QUAKE to think about it at the moment. Could it have been related to Daniel...?
"I... know I can't stop you, but I would still advise against checking it out. If what we just felt was related to Daniel in any way... then I'm afraid all you're going to find is the man from before killing him." Egon stated, emotion obvious in his tone.
If William did indeed decide to go, Egon would wait a few moments before buzzing for a nurse. Not only were all the staff probably tied up already, but it was also probably a poor idea to call for help until after the ghost had left. Especially considering what had happened to Daniel, and whatever had caused that quake.

That was exactly what William had been setting up to do. He stopped with a single step forward when Egon asked him not to go. He frowned for a moment, seemingly torn. He shook his head, putting a hand on his sword.
"I know you were in no condition to observe, but I was able to inflict a wound upon the being before. If it is he responsible for the quake, if Daniel is in some danger nearby that I can provide aid for, I would be remiss to remain here in the relative safety of this room," William looked towards the door, "Does it not seem unlikely to you it would be Daniel, in any case? I shall return upon confirmation of the situation."
William didn't wait for an objection. He vanished from Egon's limited sight upon becoming transparent and came just up off the ground. He passed through the door. -----
Faruq gave a dark chuckle, "Warrior? You? At your power level you're barely a foot soldier, aren't you? What could you hope to do to me when you can't even maintain you own human form? Tell me, angel, how did you con your vessel into cooperating? What should he have to blame you and your brethren for?"

Anger welled up in Castiel once more... no, not in Castiel. In Jimmy. His vessel seemed very weak to emotion. But... he wasn't, usually. Castiel had generally been able to keep a reign on his vessel. Which meant that this was something different. This would prove quite problematic. It took every bit of Castiel's willpower to keep himself from leaping at Faruq right then and there.
"You are dealing with powers beyond your kin. I don't travel alone. God is with me." Castiel stated. At this point, he had no plan. No backup other than God, and that was in the metaphorical sense. All he could do was keep Faruq talking and give Sam and Dean a chance to get to safety.
"We don't have to do this. You can leave this place and return to from whence you came, and leave these people alone. Just stop. Just think."
--
Sam was running as fast as he could, given the circumstances. Relatively good for an injured man, especially considering he was carrying another injured man. He didn't look back, couldn't bring himself to look back. That thing was going to kill them. Everyone, he knew it. First it would tear through Castiel, and then the rest of the hospital, and Sam... Sam didn't know what to do. Dad would know if he were there, but he wasn't...
Where was he, now that they needed him?

"God?" Faruq frowned, looking as if he'd gotten a bad taste in his mouth. He turned to the side and spit on the stretcher he had overturned. By this point the person trapped under it had passed out as well,, "Last I checked, God up and abandoned all of you. The only "God" at your side is a delusion created by a lonely and desperate little child."
"I could destroy you, and your precious little Father wouldn't lift a finger to stop me. Don't presume to tell me to think, angel." -----
William came out the door just as Sam and Dean were running past it. This involved Sam running through William. Giving Sam's abilities, he was probably more than aware they'd just passed through something unseen. It seemed to effect Dean as well, as he twitched. His weight shifted in a manner that dropped him out of Sam's arms. The landing didn't look very graceful, but it did serve the purpose of waking him up... right before he threw up all over the ground.
William whirled around, still intangible, to look at the two men. He grimaced as Dean threw up on the floor and found himself floating backwards despite knowledge that it would pass through him if it contacted. The two men seemed to be running from something... He looekd towards the direction they had come from before choosing to remain and see if they could enlighten him on the situation without him having to put himself in danger. He had no knowledge of Sam's ability to know something was there.

That utterly and completely pissed Castiel off. At this point, it was no longer his vessel's rage. The comment about Castiel's Father had irritated the angel inside of him, too. But still he restrained himself. He was not an idiot, no matter how much of one he seemed. He would not just leap into this situation. Furthermore, it seemed the creature before him was goading him on. It... bothered Castiel. Yes, demons were known to be egotistical and rude, but this was... different. It was as if this demon wanted Castiel angry. Wait... maybe that was it! Maybe this creature was making him angry! Yes, that seemed logical!
...but if that was true...
...
Oh. Oh dear. Castiel had a bad feeling about this. He had to stop his anger. Now. He closed his eyes, allowing all emotion to drain from him, shutting off even his vessel's. If he was wrong, it wouldn't matter. If he was right, he couldn't afford rage.
--
As Sam felt something pass through him, Dean fell to the floor. He proceeded to wake up and... vomit. Well, it seemed the effects of Castiel's teleportation finally kicked in. But at least he was conscious.
"Dean! He, man, you're okay." Sam stated, crouching down to offer his brother assistance if it was needed. He looked at the spot where the disturbance seemed to originate, and felt something brush his hand. Looking down, he noticed that a food tray had fallen over, dropping the items on top of it. One such item was a box of salt.
Samuel didn't have to think twice. His training kicked in, and he picked up the box, opening it. He just hoped he hit the right spot. He waved it, tossing salt out towards where he believed whatever had just passed through him to be.

Faruq popped his knuckles by bringing his hands in to fists as the energy coming from Castiel increased. He couldn't really absorb angelic anger, but it had taken much of the cap off his vessel's. He had not more than recovered from that little stunt he'd pulled earlier. He was smiling rather widely and had taken a single step forward...
When the energy completely cut off. Faruq stopped in a somewhat odd pose, one foot about a foot ahead of his other. He frowned as Castiel opened his eyes back up and pressed the knuckles of his left hand into his right. Well damn, the guy seemed to have figured it out. He snarled and spoke with that same demonic reverb he'd used before.
"Now tell me why the hell I shouldn't gut your precious little vessel where you stand and figure out what family he has to make suffer for your transgressions?" His glare deepened and the raven-like light vanished from his eyes. They seemed dead on top of their straight blackness now, "You can't protect anyone, angel." -----
Dean tried to respond, or at least ask where the hell they were, when he went into another coughing fit. His arms gave out despite his best efforts and it was only by a stubborn throw of weight he managed to avoid landing in his own vomit. He winced as he hit. That wasn't even that hard a hit, he was just so god damned sore. He looked up, his eyes swimming, and realized he was in a hospital. Wait, a hospital? And he'd just heard Sam's voice and if this was a bed he was Henry VIII.
"Sammy...?"
William had floated back a bit more, having not intended to brush against Sam's hand. However, the man did seem to be looking right at him. William hesitated for a moment there. He wasn't... used to people being able to see him under their own power. Was he a wizard, then? That thought worried the deceased prince enough to put a hand on his sword. He opened his mouth to address the person the other man had called "Sammy" to see if he could really see him when Sam's hand was thrown and opened in his direction...
And Sam would be greeted by a rather sapphiric blue bright flash of VERY BRIGHT LIGHT. William himself was thrown backwards quite against his will to avoid more than the single grain of salt that had contacted him. Dean was suddenly jerking his head away by the friggin GLOWING BLUE FLASH OF BRIGHT LIGHT, and his vision tunneled a bit the way having an unexpected picture taken in the dark might screw up your sight.
About ten feet away William crashed into the ground in fully tangible form, yet another thing quite against his will. He rolled several times before having the "good fortune"to smack into the wall. He winced at the massive pain and just sort of lay there, appearing to breath heavily. True, he didn't have to breath, but even after the many years of his unlife, his "body" as it were still had some instintual reactions to being "out of breath". He grit his teeth and tried to push himself up, managing by sheer determination to flip himself up and into a sitting position. He wasn't even looking at Sam at this point, just wonder what the hell had hit him... and forced him into his not quite opaque tangible form, he noted with a look at his hand.

That all but confirmed Castiel's beliefs. The creature in front of him was a Sin. A... a Sin. Castiel had no chance against him. Hoping to defeat him in battle was like hoping to kill the devil. Hopeless. Completely... hopeless. They had to get out of here. He'd have to spend his last remaining energy healing Dean, or find another hospital, because they had to get out of here.
But then Faruq told him that he couldn't save anyone. No, he couldn't. He wasn't there to save Sam and Dean when they were first put in danger, Gabriel was. He'd barely arrived in time to save them from Marcus. He was a failure. He no longer had any idea whether he was coming or going. All he had now was self pity...
"...you're right. I can't. But I can't let that stop me." With that, Castiel was gone. Close range teleportation had always been easier than long range. He just hoped he didn't crash into something painful...
--
That had been... unexpected. The bright flash of light, and the boy materializing before them... wasn't exactly common. Usually when ghosts and the such were hit by salt, they were just... disrupted/gone for a bit. But that was... a bit different. But hey, Dean was awake! And look, Castiel was ba-wait, what?
"Dean. Sam. We have to go. The longer we stay here, the more danger we put ourselves in. We're no closer to finding the boy from your vision here, either." Castiel stated, having suddenly appeared, putting a hand on Dean's shoulder. This involved crouching down due to Dean's position. It was only after he spoke that Castiel acknowledged William.
'acknowledged' here means turned a blank stare towards.

Faruq seemed pleased with Castiel's raising bits of self loathing. So he actually looked surprised as Castiel told him he was right... and intended on working past it. Faruq gave a somewhat puzzled frown at that just before vanishing. Faruq gave a growl to do a wolf proud. He wouldn't forget what that vessel had looked like. That little upstart of a foot soldier was going to find out just how hard an unwilling vessel could be to control. He had research to do... -----
Dean gave a very visible wince as Castiel put his hand on his shoulder. He'd been bluffing well enough in the forest, but after that lovely little teleportation (that was what it had been, right? Damn his head hurt too much to think) he was feeling every ounce of this crud. His lungs felt like they had cotton stuffed in them and anvils hanging from them. His pupils were still all dialated from the flash, so he looked like a blind man trying to make Castiel out. Again with the lack of explanations, but even in his fog he realized something had gone to shit... again. Castiel said they had to run? Even after that guy in that castle?
William had practically jumped out of his skin as Castiel just kind of appeared. He managed to get to his feet, making a stubborn advancement past the pain and his sword drawn. However, as soon as Castiel mentioned "that boy from his vision", William's aggresive stance faltered and his eyes widened. He took a step forward, realized that the sword out might still be taken as a touch aggressive, and lowered it to his side. He lifted a hand at a sign that they looked read to leave.
"Please, grant me but a minute of your time! I must make a sincere request you forgive me for causing you to startle earlier, but did you mention a boy and a vision? I know it is perhaps a sign of hubris to make such a vast leap, but I am looking for an aquaintance of mine. That boy in your vision, was his hair either white as snow or black as coal? He would have had green eyes, quite possibly glowing? I fear that he may be in very grave danger and if you have but an inkling of where he may be I would be in immense debt!"

Sam hadn't been given appropriate time to respond to everything that was happening, but now he at least seemed to have a small moment to discuss it. To discuss his vision. It seemed that the... boy? That had been what Sam had felt? A seemingly normal, scared, boy? Well, obviously, he was a ghost, but still. Sam had been expecting another demon or something. Rather daunting. In any case, it seemed that he knew the boy from Sam's vision. Perhaps from a past life. He didn't know.
"Yeah, yeah... he had snow white hair, and his eyes were glowing green. I thought it was a trick of the light, but... yeah. He seemed beaten up pretty badly. There was another creature with him, with glowing, violet-red eyes. Dropped in an alley." Samuel responded, shifting a bit. After grabbing the salt he'd sort of shifted his weight to his left shoulder, due to how he was crouched, and it had reminded him that it was, indeed, injured.
Castiel looked to Dean. He wouldn't have enough energy to teleport all four of them and heal Dean, but after another teleportation the man could die. His resolve was final. Castiel would have to stay behind. After expelling that much energy, he'd barely have enough left to fight back if the Sin followed.
He would accept his death with dignity.
