Atsuro had been looking up at the honestly rather imposing building Yuugi and Atem lived in for quite some time. This was the only place he could go. When he'd left the hotel, he'd left with only the clothes on his back and the laptop he kept in the orange bag hanging from his neck. He had nowhere to stay; the hotel was where Abel lived, after all, and he had no money to stay anywhere else.
Solemnly, he opened the doors to the building and began trekking up the stairs. He honestly had been thinking about this for a long time. He'd first begun contemplating it at Kaido's death... no, even before that. The only reason he'd stayed with Abel was because he thought he could take care of K1. But as time went on Atsuro had realized he needed K1 more than K1 needed him. The final breaking point for Atsuro had been Seth informing him Abel had finally let go of his humanity. Atsuro knew that wasn't true. Abel's interactions with him had been proof enough. But even Abel believed that.
At least Seth could take care of Abel. He could do the one thing Atsuro wouldn't have been able to do, because Atsuro was mortal. Seth couldn't die; Abel would always have Seth through thick and thin. Seth and Cain. Keiji and Naoya. Dammit.
To Atsuro, it felt like in a day's span, the whole Court of Bel had been killed. Just because three of them were still walking around didn't mean they weren't dead. He paused as he realized he'd walked up to the top of the stairs and was now standing in front of Yuugi's apartment door. He'd been too caught up in his own thoughts to realize things. He sighed and knocked on the door a couple times. He could only hope they were home... otherwise he was going to be here even longer.

Yuugi really needed to get cable if he was going to live on his own like this. Well, it wasn't really on his own... away from his grandfather, in any case. That was the main thing on Honda's mind. In the last five minutes, he had gone through the three channels available at least three times.
Yuugi, Atem, and Anzu had gone out to work. Anzu hadn't been wearing her uniform, choosing instead to change at work. Jounouchi was out at Honda's own insistance. Honda had to admit a bit of surprise. Of their group, he wouldn't have expected Jounouchi to turn into the homemaker. He chuckled at that and made a note to harass Jounouchi about it later.
He sighed and tossed the remote on the table between the couch and the television... and nearly jumped out of his shoes when the sound the remote made was a couple of knocks. He did jump to his feet, and it was there he realized it was the door. He rolled his eyes at his stupidity.
Honda opened the door and blinked when he saw Atsuro, "Um, you sure you have the right address...?"

Atsuro blinked as he saw who opened the door. He hadn't expected this person. In fact, it took him a moment to realize who he was. Once he did, his eyes widened a bit and there was a practically visible sparkle, which quickly faded. He nodded at Honda's question.
"Y-Yeah... Is Yuugi in?" Atsuro asked. "I really need to talk to him..."
Atsuro realized then what kind of bind he was in. Honda didn't know who he was. It was possible he would turn him away and tell him to come back later if Yuugi wasn't there. Atsuro didn't really have anywhere to go while he waited for Yuugi to get back. Even if any of Yuugi's friends were there, none of them were really fond of the Court of Bel, and Atsuro really didn't know them as well, anyways.

Honda blinked at Atsuro's odd expression. Almost seemed like the guy was seeing an actor he really liked or something. It went away quickly, and then Atsuro spoke.
"Oh, you're a friend of Yuugi's? You should have just said so! He'd be down at... uh... Hold on a sec, would you?"
Honda turned around and walked into the kitchen. He came back out a few moments later with a piece of paper in his hand.
"Ah, Chill Out Coffee," Honda said in English. His pronunciation left a bit to be desired, "He had to work today. Oh, I'm a friend of his. Honda Hiroto."
Honda's bow was more of a deep nod.

Atsuro blinked. So Yuugi really was at work. Atsuro returned Honda's bow, his own bow being as much of a non-bow as Honda's was.
"Ah, I'm Kihara Atsuro," Atsuro said. "Do you know when he'll be getting off work...?"

Honda looked in thought for a moment, lifting up his fingers. If Atsuro bothered to read his lips, he'd note that the teenager seemed to be counting. He stopped at four.
"I think about... one?" Honda glanced over his back towards the wall, "Oh, he'll probably be back in half an hour. I don't think he had anything else to do. Did you want to wait? No one else is here right now and nothing's on television..."

Atsuro nodded. "That would be great, thanks."
He headed in once Honda moved out of the way of the doorway, but he didn't sit down, even though he really wanted to. Maybe it was just conditioning from his time in the Court (a bit more pain at that, and he had to will the thought away), but he didn't want to sit down without permission.

Honda closed the door behind Atsuro and walked in. He gave him an odd look. Atsuro looked a bit uncomfortable, and the couch was wide open. Actually, something seemed to be on his mind as well. Honda chose not to press about that.
"Seat isn't gonna attack you," Honda said. He walked over to the window and pulled it open, sticking his head out. Seemed he was looking for something. Whatever it was, he didn't seem to find it. He pulled his head back in and muttered something under his breath. Atsuro wouldn't be able to hear it, although the tone seemed less than friendly.

Atsuro looked up as Honda spoke to him. He didn't object, and walked over to the couch before sitting down. From there, he watched as Honda stuck his head out the window and muttered some less than friendly things that Atsuro couldn't quite catch.
"Are you looking for someone?" Atsuro asked.

Honda was closing the window when Atsuro asked his question. He looked towards Atsuro and then back towards the window. His expression wasn't amused.
"Just some guy that's been hanging around here," Honda said, "I've tried to tell him off, but the guy acts like he doesn't know what I mean. Just cause he can't understand Japanese doesn't mean what I'm telling him isn't clear. If he keeps it up I'm gonna make it so he can't misunderstand me."
Honda punched his right fist into his open left palm at that. It was pretty clear what Honda was implying.

Atsuro blinked at that, and he had a bit of a nervous grin. "...Have fun with that."
He looked down at his lap at that, and he appeared to be lost in his own thoughts again. It wasn't so much of an issue of "Should I have left?" or "Am I doing the right thing?" Atsuro had gone over all of that the night before, and he knew this was the right thing for him to do. The only remaining conflicts he was having was over K1 himself.

Honda looked up as Atsuro looked into his lap. He could tell the guy seemed depressed. Wasn't anything he could do about it. He'd only been here for a few days and hadn't even met Atsuro. The other teenager had also asked about Yuugi. Odds seemed high it was something only Yuugi knew about. Which lead to an overall kind of awkward silence, really. -----
Atem, Yuugi, and Souji were just getting off work. Business had picked up shortly after Yamada had left, and at least Atem had seemed pleased with the work. They'd headed out of the building together once they were off. Yuugi held the door for them, and Atem picked up his pace to come up beside Souji, asking him a question as Yuugi caught up.
"Something seems different about you today, Souji-kun," he said.

Souji looked toward Atem as he spoke up and smiled. Well, he had been feeling less stressed since the previous day's events; it had likely been showing through in his behavior. Well, it wasn't like he hadn't been intending on bringing this up to Atem and Yuugi.
"I suppose I'm in a good mood," Souji said. "I took care of some stuff on the way home yesterday with Izanagi, and now I don't have to worry about him anymore.... for real this time."
He realized partway through that statement he'd said something very similar to that in the past, and that he needed to clarify that yes, he was telling the truth this time. Of course, he still hadn't gone into detail about why he didn't need to worry about Izanagi anymore.

Yuugi had fallen into step beside Atem as Souji gave the first part of his response. He gave a smile when Souji stated he'd taken care of some stuff with Izanagi. He seemed a little confused as he said he didn't have to worry about him anymore. Izanagi had said to him once one or the other would have to go or they would have to accept each other... Yuugi leaned forward to talk.
"I'm glad you're okay... But what about Izanagi? Is he just sealed until next time? I mean... don't get me wrong!" Yuugi waved his hands in front of his face. He really didn't want Souji to be insulted by that, "I just think he really was trying his best..."

Souji only continued to smile as Yuugi went on. Yuugi was actually concerned for both sides of him. He knew Yuugi hadn't wanted him or Izanagi to go before, so this reaction didn't really surprise him, but it was a bit heartwarming.
"No, he's not sealed. He's a part of me, now. Turns out I was Izanagi all along. It's just he was the one with the memories, while I was the main part. But since we're together again, it's all for the better... though I can't actually summon a Persona anymore."
What was most astounding was the fact he was saying this like it was just some kind of everyday conversation. From the way he was speaking, one would think they discovered they were really a god and joined back together with their split personality every day.
