Courage pulled at his ears in distress, nearly pulling them out. Sighing, he went around the back of the house to find a way up.
Marion looked around, blinking. "Where's Kosumu? And the puppy dog?"

Wally looked to Marion with a curious gaze. "I'm not sure little lady. I've looked everywhere for Kosumu, and I couldn't seem to find him." He scratched behind his head. "And I looked everywhere for em too... And as for Courage... I'm not sure where he is either."
............... "Yeah, about the 'looking out for kids thing'... Wally, your not good at it... Like, AT ALL." Otto monotoned. "You want to look after Double D's kid when you can't even keep track of the one we already have living in our house."
---------------------------------------
Whatever Courage did past that point was beyond Kosumu's concern, as he continued to lay back looking up at the sky. "Relaxing..."

A ladder hit the house's railing, and Courage climbed it swiftly. Pulling himself up on the roof, the dog warily walked close to Kosumu, reaching out for him, but a stray wind blew him completely off-balance.
Inside the house, one could hear Courage's trademark scream and a thud.

Wally jumped, but Otto groaned. "We better go see what that was..." It looked like he was loathe to do it since he'd rather get back to meditation, but he stood up. "Come on."
---------------------------
With Wally holding little Marion's hand, the three walked outside to find what appeared to be a hole in Courage's full silhouette. Raising an eyebrow, Wally walked up to the hole, to take a look... "Uh... Courage? You alright little doggy mate?"

Marion oogled the hole in the ground as a groan echoed inside it. A trembling paw lifted up, and she took it and helped pull Courage out of the hole. He settled on the ground with a plop.
With another moan, he pointed up to the roof. Marion giggled and waved. "Kosumu! We seeeee yoooouuu~!"

Kosumu heard Marion's call, before rolling over casually to look down at the bunch. "Hi!" He waved sleepily at the bunch, as if he was still trying to wake up.
Wally grinned up at the Star Child, "So THIS is where you were you scamp!" He saluted Kosumu with that said. "Great choice of hiding spots Kosumu! I salute you!" Kosumu saluted the man back.
"Will you be okay up there Kosumu?" Came Otto rather simply, like he didn't really care all that much. He knew Kosumu could fly after all.
Kosumu gave the man a thumbs up; a rather simple response, but it worked. "No worry Otto!"

Courage stared up at Otto and Wally's completely casual response as if they might have been nuts. Of course, that was before he could remember; Kosumu could fly. Doy. How else would he have gotten up there?
He blinked when he suddenly felt a nice spot of warmth on his little doggie foot, and he looked down to see young Marion's hand on his paw, glowing, and the pain faded away.
The young Angel of Light's daughter smiled up at him. "All better!"

Wally grinned down at the little girl as she healed up Courage, "Aw!! That's so nice of ya Sheilah!" Once she was done, he bent down a bit, and picked up the little girl, tickling her a bit. "It's little wonder your Double D's little girl!"
Sighing at the sweet moment, Otto looked back up to the roof. "We're gonna go ahead and go back inside Kosumu, your welcome to join us whenever you want." Kosumu sat up a bit and nodded to Otto, before laying back down.
------------------------------------------------
A few hours later, well into night time in the Valley, Kosumu could be found still on the roof, smiling at the great multitude of stars above him. "Hello brothers, sisters... Mother."
As this went on, we change scenes to inside the house, where we see Wally, Marion, and Courage sitting on the couch enjoying a movie... Wanna know what REALLY made this scene confusing though.
"You know... That wasn't really half bad." Otto said as he sat back on the couch. "Childish of course, but not bad all the same."
Wally grinned to the man. "Worth the viewing?"
A frown was the response. "No... But, whatcha gonna do?" He smiled a small smile to Marion.
[Since I can't remember which movie we agreed on for this ending, I leave it to you.]

(bwahaha I forgot too. XD let's let it be, it's fine untitled)
Marion had been perfectly still while watching the program, obviously intended for younger children; probably why Otto didn't see the appeal. Still, it kept her wildly engrossed, and by the end, her eyes had begun to grow heavy.
She gave out a big, squeaky yawn before looking up at Otto, returning his smile tiredly.

Of course, since yawns were contagious, Otto yawned along with her, followed by Wally, and likely Courage. “Well mates, today’s been an interestin and fun day, but, unless I miss my guess, it’s gettin close to a certain little sheilah’s bedtime.” He smiled at the girl, patting her on the head.
Raising an eyebrow, Otto turned to Wally, looking quite curious. “Did Double D happen to mention when he would be back to pick up Marion?” He sighed a bit, “Not that I don’t mind her being around, but if he isn’t back by tonight, we’ll need to find her a place to sleep tonight.”
Wally shook his head simply. “He didn’t give me a specific time. He just asked me to look after Marion.” Of course he did… “You don’t have to worry though Otto-mate, Marion can have my bed, I can easily sleep on the couch for tonight.”
….. “Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaah no…”
Otto stood up having said that, picking up Marion. “If Marion is sleeping anywhere, it’ll be someplace that wasn’t slept in by a slob. I have an inflata-bed that she can use.”

Marion smiled sleepily at Wally's pat, reaching her arms up cutely to let him pick her arm. As the two bickered over where she would sleep, Wally's warmth did a fine job of putting her to sleep.
Courage too smiled, yawning. After such a stressful day, rest was welcome.

Wally looked down at little Marion smiling at her. Seeing that, he quickly shushed Otto. "Shhh..." He shook his head. "Go ahead and get the Inflata-bed all inflated if that's how you feel about it, then mate." Wally whispered, trying not to disturb Marion. "I'll make sure this little lady stays comfortable till then."
Otto nodded quickly, before sneaking off. As he did, he shook his head, unbelieving that he just got told off by Wally.
-----------------------------------------------------
It took a few minutes for Otto to inflate the bed, and lay it down in Otto's room... Frankly it was just a lot cleaner then Wally's, and there was plenty of space to put down the inflata-bed. Otto didn't like the idea all that much, but figured it was better then leaving her in that mess.
A little over an hour later, Kosumu had returned to his room to sleep, and by that point, the entire house was quiet, all of it's occupants sleeping peacefully where they lay...

...except one.
It was a...disjointed dream. Frightning images, terrible voices, crying, laughing, mocking, and most of all, a horrid sense of loss. It was incoherent to her at the time, but by the time her eyes shot open and she came to terms with her night terror, her eyes began to water, and soft sobs escaped from her.
"D...Daddy...Daddy...Daddy...!"

The tiny pathetic whimpers were lost on Otto, whom continued to doze quite peacefully.
[Short post, but of course, I'm just playing this up realistically.]

Marion began to softly sob. Where was her father? Was he okay? Was he hurt? Would she ever see him again??
Through the darkness, she looked up to her current caretaker, who was still sleeping away. Sniffling, she got out of bed and crawled onto his, nudging his shoulder. "Uncle Otto? ...*sniff*...Unce Otto..."
