Yin, Yang, and Soul Names (Me and NN1)

From where he watched atop one of the many peaks of Mt. Bonsai, Otto looked on in astonishment, as it looked like the forest that sat at the foot of the mountain seemed to warp and contort. The island's edge near there even seemed to stretch out, as if it was the arm of a baseball outfielder. Otto seemed to be sweating nervously as he took a few deep breaths… “Looks like what Shantotto told me hold’s some mettle after all.”

Wally watched what was happening with equal surprise. As he did, he beheld as space around the forest seemed to warp, until trees were replaced by a big lake. “Holy… Is that-?”

“Teldesari Lake?” Otto nodded, “Indeed it is…”

Wally looked to Otto more then a little concerned. “… So it’s true then… The valley’s coming here… To Dimensional Island.” Otto only nodded. “Ooooooh nelly, that’s not good. It’ll be in serious danger if it does… Are you sure we can’t maybe keep it from coming here?”

With a shake of his head, Otto looked quite sure of himself. “What do you suggest? Going down there and saying ‘Hey, valley! I know we’ve been here a while, as has Yin and Yang, but do you think you could not follow us here?’ The valley was created by Yin, Yang and their superior deities. There is no valley without Yin and Yang.” He sighed dismally. “With that in mind… It comes as little surprise that the Valley would come here because of their being here.”

That caused the chest-nut haired boy to think a moment… “But Yin and Yang followed us here…” A grim realization crossed him. “This is all our fault…”

“Don’t think like that, we’ve protected the valley before we can do it again.” Otto emphasized this by causing his dark claws to appear. “Kijin Kain and King Cole was a warm up; it’s time we got serious now.”

Watching them from not too far away, an evil figure in armor grinned maliciously at the two, a sphere of nothingness forming in his hands…

"Dear heavens above... a-are you two sure?"

Double D had seen plenty, plenty of strange things happen on this island. When he had become an angel, he began to understand these strange occurances more, because the ebbs he'd feel from the ground beneath his feet were always erratic and twisted. Distorted by its constant floating through the gap between dimensions, it was almost like a living entity itself.

And it looked like as population (and membership size) grew, the island was more than willing to adjusting by absorbing worlds around it. And what better to come first than a certainly valley Otto and Wally told him that was dependent on its deities to exist?

Still... he had never seen that before. And watching the whole eastern end just stretch was eerie and just plain wierd.

He hoped the village was alright.

(So... when in the EddFelix timeline does this take place? And don't give me an 'I don't know,' because it'll be important to my posts XD)

[This takes place a little after 'Fallen Legend', so it's still well in the Mr. Gun Vs. Him plot.]

Otto looked to Double D, nodding sharply. "Shantotto had told us about it, and her concern was justified considering what Yin and Yang had told us." He pointed to the lake that had just appeared. "That down there? That's a lake that existed near mine and Wally's home previous to coming to Dimensional Island... The fact that this island is stretching doesn't make me feel any better. That easily means that it won't be just mine and Wally's home town that will get caught up in this madness. If it continues at this rate, the entire valley is going to be brought here..."

Wally looked both horrified, yet excited at the same time. "Okay, I did wish I could go home at one point or another, you know, to see Rach', but this was NOT what I had in mind."

"No duh there..." Growling, he crossed his arms as something else appeared on the landscape. Even more trees were being replaced, this time with a simple little town, that appeared Japanese in theme. "Okay, that's Neo Town crossed over..."

"Hey, Otto! I can see our house!" Otto looked and indeed saw a two story establishment not too far from the lake. "Man, I know I should be really afraid right now, but it's being put off by the serious amount of nostalgia."

(okay, gotcha. Just making sure so we don't mix this up with the current Felix leaving plot XD)

"It... it's less frightening and more just plain eerie, to be perfectly honest," Double D commented. He glanced the other way, and from this peak he could see the other ends of the island. Void City laid not too far away in the distance, and past it was the western deserts sandwiched inbetween the southern jungles and the northern snow-crested mountains. They were still and untouched, as if unaware of its eastern end's mutation.

"I don't think it's presenting any danger to the island," he concluded, turning back and looking down below Mt. Bonsai. "Every other eastern landmark is hardly effected, even. Most of the distortion is toward the northern side, and that's all nothing but forests."

Otto sighed. "If only it was that simple." He looked to Double D. "You see, while we applaud the convenience of our home coming here to us, Thereby ridding us of the need to use the Ghost Train, this place is more dangerous then anything the people have yet seen." He sighs, "Thus far, KIJIN KAIN is the strongest threat they've ever seen. All we can do is prevent them from figuring out that anything is wrong and keep big threats out of the valley."

Wally shook his head. "I just hope Rach' is alright... I wonder what people are going through in the valley now, due to this."

"If I know Yin and Yang, the people are completely unaware of this crossover. As far as they know, their world is still the same, and is not morphing and warping under their noses." With a sigh, Otto crossed his arms. "At least that will prevent panic."

"Oh, my." Double D sighed. He felt such pity for the normal citizens living in this island. They had put up with so much supernatural madness and danger it was amazing no one had started an angry petition yet. But they were a hardy people, he supposed, who knew what they were getting into when deciding to live here.

But with these new, safeguarded people... any threat was going to raise some tension. Double D nodded to Otto. "Understood." As he watched the last of the stretching, he bit his lip in thought. "Would it be... safe for us to investigate once it's finished crossing over?"

A nod was the answer to Double D's question. "By the looks of things, the valley remains unchanged... That means once it fully crosses over it should be safe... Still, it'll be worth our time to take a look around to make sure everything came over in one piece."

As he said this, the warp spread out past Neo Town for a few miles, before the tower of a majestic castle came into view. "Well, here comes Central City, mates."

"Heheheheheheheheheh...."

Otto and Wally looked pretty worried at that.

"What was that?" Wally shrugged in response, looking very concerned...

"HAH!!"

[Start the music!]


Otto, Wally, and Double D quickly dodged aside as a sphere of nothingness blasted past them. Turning, and pulling out his claws, Otto expected the worst...

And the worst was what he got; via a man in intricate aqua blue armor covered head to toe. The figure was laughing boisturously at the heroes. "I always knew that watching you little maggets would lead to a big discovery... But THIS. Hahahahahahaha... I do believe I have just found a new place to set up shop, and not even your deities will be able to stop me." Exdeath, being ever the blasphemous ham, pulled out his sword, said weapon hovering by his side, while the other hand formed what appeared to be a small black hole, that would cause a moderate amount of damage if thrown.

Double D twitched. But of course. Right after they mention keeping the worst dangers out of the Valley, one of them shows up. Just thier luck.

His hands clenched into fists that quickly began to glow. From one of them a long force field sprang up and formed into a short sword, and he fell into a defensive pose. "Then we'll stop you ourselves, right here and now."

Otto growled, in equal agreement to Double D's chagrin. "Who the hell are you?!"

The figure chuckled quite darkly at the question. "If you must know, little withdrawn worm, I am known as the Evil Lord Exdeath. Ruler of the eternity known only as the Void, from which all things begin... And to which all things must end." An evil grin appeared to come on to his hidden face. "You children have been quite troublesome to villains everywhere on this Island... So imagine their surprise when they learn that the Island's greatest guardians have been defeated by my hands."

He took his sword in hand, jumped, and then, using his Omni-Dash ability, he flew at the three his body pumped with energy that almost felt like pure nothingness. Otto and the others were quick to dodge.

With Wally, light energy entered his hand, and he prepared for a long fight. "Okay mate, you want some of this well your about to get it!!" Exdeath answered by launching his sword at Wally, and then expertly controlling it's motions in mid-air with flicks of his wrist. Wally tried to counter, but he couldn't get past the sword.

As the sword plunged straight at Wally, Double D jumped between them, wrapping him and his friend in a large force field. He visibly winced when the sword bounced off the outside, creating great ripples. That had been a powerful strike, and he knew the 'evil lord' or whatever he called himself wasn't putting all of his force into the blow.

Still, he wasn't completely intimidating. If Shanaotto's lesson taught them anything, it was that good teamwork could bring anyone down, even this egotisical knight lord.

"Well, then..." he spoke, dropping the force field and knocking the still-floating sword aside with his own. "That's quite the ambition. But I say you've gotten more than you bargained for."

Exdeath grinned at the boy's defiance, but also noticing that the barrier barely held. "Heheheh... We'll just see maggot." The sword returned to Exdeath's side, as he took in his victims. "Now then... An Angel, and two Demi-God like vassals... This should be quite interesting." He placed his sword in the ground. "Reverse... POLARITY!"

Suddenly, a ring launched away from Exdeath's feet, and when it stopped he vanished from where he stood a moment ago, and reappeared in the circumference of the ring with a boom...

Catching Otto by surprise.

"GAH!! The hell?!"

Exdeath wasted no words, and his sword was brought down on the boy.

CLANG!!!

Thankfully, Otto's reflexes saved him from getting sliced in half, as his claws stopped Exdeath's sword cold. Grinning, Exdeath and Otto clashed between each other. After a second of trading blows, he finally kicked the boy away with a heavy foot. "You are strong boy, make no mistake... But you have not the strength to defeat me."

Wally was quick to retaliate, a fist of light quickly zooming at Exdeath. The man took the blow...

Before smacking Wally away. "Was that supposed to hurt?"

Double D twitched. He wasn't fond of villianry in the first place, and this creep's cocky response was already beginning to wear on his nerves.

While he was distracted with Otto and Wally (he had winced at Otto's terribly close call), the angel turned invisible, sweeping behind Exdeath. As he batted Wally away, Double D saw what he figured was an opening in his armor and jabbed his force-field sword inside. "How's THIS, then!?"

Exdeath barely looked hurt at the blow Double D had managed. "Hmph! This is truely the strongest this Island has to offer?!" With a blast of nothingness, Double D was slammed aside, and hit the rocky ground.

"Double D!!!!" Otto charged at Exdeath, dark energy charging in his claws. With precise movements, he clashed repeatedly with Exdeath's sword, the evil lord easily keeping up with the blows...

However, imagine his surprise, when a tough elbow barge was slammed into his side, by Wally, whom was literally covered by light energy, like a barrier. "HAHA!! Try that mate!!!"

Exdeath regained himself quickly and glared at the two boys...

Slowly, an evil sneer appeared on his face. "Well, well, well..."



As this went on, it was noticeable that more of the forest was warping and contorting, the island continuing to stretch out to accomodate an obviously very large space. As more of the forest was replaced, Grasslands soon became a swamp, and the swamp after up to 10 miles all around, turned into more forests.

"UNGH!" Double D slammed into the side of the mountain--hard. It was hard to tell what was in that attack, but it was powerful... very powerful. He had a breif moment of terror before he regained himself, remembering his resolve and staggering to his feet, his hand planted on his chest and healing his own broken ribs up.

Gasping slightly at the wavering pain, he looked up when the fight had come to a stop, wondering why Exdeath had stopped, why they were staring each other down...

Well, why waste the opportunity!? They had a land that was gradually appearing to protect. For once, Double D acted without thinking twice, charging a greater amount of light energy into his force sword and charging at Exdeath with a threatening bellow.

Perhaps the attack would've been a bit more effective without the threatening bellow. Grinning, Exdeath stepped aside and easily tripped Double D. "Oh come now, do you honestly think that's enough to stop ME!? All of you worthless children are barely worth dirt compared to me."

WHAM!!!!

Otto had slammed a fist into Exdeath's face, causing the towering musular man to get sent reeling. "You ever seen Dirt do THAT PAL?!?" Exdeath responded by forming a magic circle in front of himself... And an energy ray hit Otto, sending him sprawling.

Wally came next, hurtling a kick filled with Light energy at the evil lord, which collided with his gut. Exdeath let out a small breath. Even he had to admit that that had to hurt just a little bit. "Pathetic!" He back-handed at Wally, but the boy dodged quickly.

With Otto, he was helping Double D to his feet. "Hey Double D?" He grinned a little. "I think I have an idea, if your willing to take a little trip."
