Double D's eyes widened. "Wh....what? Really?" The angel grew unnerved, hands resting on his sternum uneasily. He knew he had much power within him, but he was not aware that it was capable of... taking control of him like that. Breifly, he wondered what could've happened if it had progressed, if Yin and Yang hadn't stepped in when they did, and he shook his head, not wanting to think of it.
"That's an... interesting development," he eventually got out. "I may have gotten close to something like that when I forced Oni down, but I can clearly recall that happening." He flashed Otto a meek grin. "...I suppose we both have alternate forms to master, don't we?"

Otto growled at such a notion. "I'd be happy if I never had to use that form again." After a second he sighed... "I've never even tried to use that form after the incedent back in the church."
He looked rather angry that it was even brought up. "Double D, look. As useful as that form is, I'd rather not use it again." With a shrug, he and Double D continued down the mountain. "However, if there is one thing I know how to do, it's controlling abilities. With any luck, what I can teach you to do will be enough to control that alternate form of yours."

Double D's meek smile instantly faded. "Oh... oh goodness, Otto, I-I didn't mean to~!" He winced a little at Otto's small anger spike and figured the anger was directed towards him, and he averted his gaze in heavy guilt. "I... I'm sorry."

Otto kept his angry look a moment, before it melted away seeing Double D's guilty expression. "H-hey..." He put a comforting hand on the boy's shoulder. "... Look... Double D..?" He let out a deep breath. "I... I'm not mad at you... Really I'm not..."
That likely caught Double D's attention. "It's... It's this other form you mentioned... When... When you and the others described it to me? Well... The first thing I thought when I heard it?" He looked away a moment. "I didn't think the description sounded cool..."
Cue bombshell.
"It sounded like Kijin Kain..."

"W-well... believe me, neither does mine," Double D admited in return. "The thought of losing control alone makes me uneas...eh?"
Double D paused at that statement, compared them both in his mind, and his eyes widened in realization. "...oh dear... now that you mention it, they do look simila... oh my."
The angel sensed Otto's anxiety, looking back to him. "..I can see why you detest it, in that case." Still, a a gentle touch on the shoulder and the sound of his softly spoken soul name were intended to put Otto at ease. "Just know, Atora... I'll never see you as that monster. Ever. You're a kind-hearted soul that I'm honored to call my soul-brother."

Otto couldn't help but smile a little at Double D's attempt to comfort him. Hearing his soul name used that way sounded right, and it really put all of his anxiety to rest. "Th-thanks Ddwen... Really..."
Sighing he looked to the sky. "I will tell you this much... I'm not sure where this path is going to lead us... Usually when life gets like that it's... Intimidating..." He grinned to Double D. "But something tells me that it won't be too big an issue... Now that me and Wally have you helping us... And I promise to help you to the best of my ability."

Double D's bright smile stretched from ear to ear. "And I hope to do the same for you and Wally!" To be trusted, to be relied on, was more than he could have wanted. "We'll tackle on all adversaries together! Kijin, Exdeath, even Him!"
He paused as they continued their path down. "...speaking of, have you heard anything from Gantz yet?"

Thinking about this a moment, Otto looked back to Double D, before shrugging. "From what I've heard from Shantoto, he's looking for a potential clue as to what Him's up to... Something about the Underground tunnels." He shook his head after a moment. "Honestly... I don't know what's going on... But either way, I know that final showdown is getting closer..."

Double D nodded in agreement. "Indeed it is. I hope Rosaline is still alright... I heavily anticipate freeing her from his clutches."
A soft grumble reminded him of their walk's purpose, and he grinned sheepishly. "...but there will be no rescuing on an empty stomach, will there?"

Otto nodded with a small smile. "Of course. This way then."
As the two continued on one could hear Wally going on to Talim about how their home worked, whilst Kosumu flew through the air letting out yipping and whooting like a little kid.
It was so good to be home.
