Double D coughed, wiping the mud off his face. Not one of his smarter moves, he had to admit... but there'd be time for self-chastising later.
"...anything," he wheezed as Otto helped him to his feet. "I'm willing to try anything at this point. This concieted git is starting to work my last nerve."

Otto grimaced. "Trust me, I know how you feel."
Wally meanwhile, had pulled out his broad-sword and was channeling it with Holy Energy. "Try this mate!!!" He swung the blade, causing a sword beam to shoot out. Exdeath was hit, but it didn't do too much damage.
"Hahahah! Pitiful!" He held out his hands, "Here's a REAL attack!"
He was suddenly encompassed by a sphere of pure nothingness, before zooming over at Wally. "Almagest!!!" Said sphere burst outward, sending Wally flying and landing with a tough thud. It looked like it hurt. "That should teach you."
"RAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Exdeath turned... And found Double D flying right at him.
In the time it took to have that exchange of blows, Otto had briefly told Double D his plan; which was to throw the angel at Exdeath, and blindside him before he could dodge, with Double D using a burst of Holy magic upon impact. Otto's strength insured that he would hit the tower of armor pretty damn hard to ensure extra damage.

Aha. Little trip. Double D resisted commenting on the play-on words and complied, hefted into Otto's strong arms and hurtled at Exdeath, more than willing to deliver maximum damage to this creep.
He gathered most of his light energy into his dominent fist, clenching it tightly and pulled it back...

"?!?!?!? GUGH-!!" Exdeath took several steps back, so as not to lose his balance, but it definately looked like that had hurt. He slumped over slightly, catching his breath.
Otto grinned, as he pumped his fist. "Bullseye!"
With Wally, he pushed himself off the ground, looking quite pained, but okay otherwise. "Ow..." He healed himself quickly, before looking around, after a moment, he absorbed a quick burst of sunshine, making himself stronger. "Man mate you are in WAY over your head!!"

Exdeath grinned widely.
"It would look that way wouldn't it... Gdei?"

Wally lifted an eyebrow at that. "What the hell are you going on abou-" He could never finish that sentence. "G-GKT!!!! G-GAAAGH!!!" Wally suddenly felt a searing pain in his heart, as if something had been deeply unsettled. It didn't feel like bodily functions, hell it didn't feel natural in the least. It felt like a piece of him was being threatened, about to have a piece, a very important piece getting ripped out.
Wally doubled over in pain and hit his knees. "G-gaaah... M-mates... Wh-what's goin' on-?!" Wally's voice was considerably weakened, like it would go out at any time.

Double D dismounted off of Exdeath, much more impressively this time. It seemed they were finally cracking through his defenses!
But confidence dwindled again when Exdeath spoke that very strange name... and Wally collapsed.
"W....WALLY!" He hurried to catch him, trying to help heal him... but his aura-probing led him to a terrifying discovery. His eyes widened in dread.
"Oh... oh no."

Wally was shivering like the dickens by this point, almost his entire body in complete pain overload. "D-Double D-D mate... Wh-what's wrong w-with me..?"
Otto looked confused on this very subject himself, before he turned to Exdeath, growling almost animalistically. "WHAT THE FUCKING HELL DID YOU DO TO HIM?!!?!?!?!?!?" Yeah, he sounded pretty damn mad.
Exdeath grinned underneath his helmet. "Oh come now, don't tell me that you insects have traveled this island and never once heard of it." His grin became one of a sadistic fervor. "I believe it's called 'Soul Names'... 'Atora'."

"OH GOD DAMN YO- GKTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Otto hit the ground himself, looking even more weakened then anyone ever remembered him looking like. "H-how-"
"You had so much emotion running through you, and I'm a master of sensing aura's..." Exdeath walked up to the downed boy. "Really? It was laughably easy to learn your soul names, 'Atora'." Otto felt like a piece of him was even closer to being ripped out, sending his body into pain overload just like Wally...
The kick to the gut that followed, which sent Otto sprawling on the ground next to Wally didn't help things...

Double D winced. Now HE was stuck knowing their sacred names too. Watching two of his best friends collapsing on the floor triggered unpleasent memories of when his own name was used against him, used to reduce him down into a helpless mess... a pain unlike any other, deeper than any mortal or even emotional wound...
...and his anger towards Exdeath grew even more. He swiveled back, eyes glowing an angry yellow.
"Stop it! Stop it!!" he cried out, light-engulfed fist slamming into Exdeath over, and over, and over. [glow=yellow,2,300]"Those names aren't for you to speak!!"[/glow]

Exdeath was caught by surprise at the attack, and quickly whipped up a few second barrier, sending Double D's fist ricocheting. "Heh, come now, little worm. What do you think Soul Names were made for in the first place?" He was grinning maniacally under his helmet. "Just you wait. When this battle goes on long enough, it won't be long before you will be joining your friends."
He laughed. "Soul Names are always so easy to decipher... Yours will be no different."
"D-Double D..." Otto struggled to push himself up. "R-Run... S-save, y-yourself-Gkt..."

"Go on ahead and try!"[/i] Double D bellowed, pounding on the barrier repeatedly with his fists and sparking many heavy ripples across the surface. "I've been there and back again! It's a hell I'm willing to suffer through if it means defeating YOU in the process!! You who throw such sacred names around like PLAYTHINGS!"[/i]
At last, one hearty blow shattered the barrier, and Double D plowed into Exdeath. [glow=yellow,2,300]"AND IF I HAVE TO BEAT THEIR NAMES OUT OF YOUR THICK SKULL, THEN SO BE IT!!!"[/b][/glow]

Exdeath was REALLY caught by surprise when his barrier was broken through... Even more so when Double D's fist collided with his face. "GKKTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He was sent sliding back. When he regained his footing, he looked at Double D furiously. "Okay, MAGGOT. If you wish to be destroyed then SO BE IT."
He was just about to charge...
FLAAAAAAAAAAASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everyone was blinded by a bright light coming from down in the forest. When the light died down, they looked to see that the Valley had, by now, fully appeared into the world; mountains completely encircling it like a bowl.
Exdeath grinned. "Heheh... Looks like my new kingdom is finally here..." He turned to Double D with an evil grin. "Once I dispose of you, taking this place should be far too easy."

After pulling back and watching the world end its entrance, Double D remained stiff, as if he hadn't heard Exdeath's words. They weren't worth it either way, they were the same words filled with arrogance repeated over and over.
(And now is when I introduce a song for the moment. :3
)
For a moment, he stared down the dark lord, eyes glowing bright enough that his iris was lost in the golden glow that occasionally flared a bit like flames. His fists were clutched tightly, almost shaking, enveloped in bright yellow flames.
[glow=yellow,2,300]Enough was enough.[/glow] He had grown tired of this game. He knew his adversary well enough now. It was time to end this, to nip this threat in the bud, for the sake of his friends' homeland.
With that, no more words were given. Double D wouldn't give him that honor. With a bellow of righteous anger, he once more launched himself at Exdeath, unleashing his full power.

Double D may have caught Exdeath by surprise twice already, but by this time, Exdeath had figured out that this fight was serious business. This child was a lot stronger then he looked... No more playing around. With a flash, Exdeath seemed to transform, his armor becoming more horrible in appearance, until it warped into what looked something like this;  Exdeath chuckled in a dark fashion, his evil tree form ready to rumble. "Do you really think you can beat me child?" He formed several powerful blasts of pure void all around him. "Well come then... FACE OBLIVION!!!!" |

As opposed to before, Double D hardly felt intimidated by Exdeath's new form. In fact, he felt rather calm overall. Something had overtaken him, wrapped up his thoughts and emotions for the time being and filled him with a serene confidence.
[glow=yellow,2,300]"Oblivion?"[/glow] he spoke in an echoing force, cocking his head in curiosity. Every move he made now was not governed by thought, but of something different. They were careful, soft movements, though his face remained deadpan, and he seemed doll-like. He shook his head. [glow=yellow,2,300]"Oblivion cannot exist as long as a shred of light continues to shine forth."[/glow]
With that, he cocked his head, and his neck cracked in response. That triggered his wings to flash, and they temporarily lost their blue and violet coloring to be engulfed in golder light. His hair began to flare out as if static electricity were running through it, and he pushed off the ground lightly and remained suspended in the air before Exdeath with little effort.

Exdeath didn't really seem all that scared. Growling, he launched the energy balls of pure void energy at Double D, "Not with what I plan." He grinned as Double D agilely dodged. "When my plans are complete, and I am all powerful, I will bring about the end of all things... Including myself... There will be nothing but the void. Nothing but never-ending darkness... The one true end of all things."
His energy spiked as he launched his sword at Double D, zoomed over himself, grabbed the sword, and attempted to slice him in half. "And you and your friends shall be FIRST maggot."

The sword had stopped abruptly in mid swing, as if it had gotten stuck in bone. But no. Double D's hand, glowing so brightly it may as well have been formed into a stronger material, had effortlessly caught the blade in its wild swing. Only his arm had changed position; he remained ever straight, gaze fixed upon Exdeath in a piercing glare.
[glow=yellow,2,300]"You honestly believe you can bring an end to all creation? Such conceit."[/glow]
He wrenched the sword from Exdeath's grasp, tossing it aside. [glow=yellow,2,300]"You believe this because you do not see the value of life. Even when all life is gone, new life will replace it. It is a never-ending cycle. You do not see this because you sorely underestimate the resilience of a life to sustain itself."[/glow]
He flicked his wrist, and his own sword instantly appeared, amazingly detailed in design. He swiftly had it pointed at the knight's throat, all while his expression never shifted. [glow=yellow,2,300]"You are no deity. You haven't even the strength to become a proper vassal."[/glow]
