Gantz grinned as he pulled out Soul Calibur. "Possibly. But hey, can't blame these guys for that. They certainly didn't see someone like you coming." The young man took in the person at the console a moment. "Soooooo... A shy guy with psychic powers working at a generator console. What could possibly go wrong?" The sarcasm was notable.
Okay enough banter, time to cut right to the point. "In all seriousness, what do you think you're doing back here? You certainly don't look like any of the other stiffs working here."

PSI Guy was still punching a few last-minute things into the control panel as he looked Gantz in the eye and took an evasive stance. "That's for me to know and you to find out, kid." There was something almost ominous about the way he said it.
Meanwhile, Danny was still trying to hunt down security.

Gantz glared at the Shy-guy before him with a cross glare. By that point, Soul Calibur had been drawn and was being held in an offensive stance. "I've got a better idea. How about I beat you black and blue and THEN you tell me?"
It wasn't so much the bluntness of the statement, or the fact that Gantz said it so plainly as if it was an honest truth rather then a possibility. No no. It was the fact that magic charged through his body that backed up his statement. It was rather powerful magic too. "Hmmm. Yet another fight is it?" came the echoing female voice from Gantz's sword. "And here I thought you was going to go on vacation."
"Just a quick little diversion. Shouldn't take too long."

PSI Guy threw up a shield and began charging up PSI for an offensive move of his own. "If you really think you can beat me black and blue, you've got another thing coming," he snarked cockily.

There was a smugness in Gantz's grin as he prepared for an offensive. "Oh really? Prove it." At that moment, Gantz hit the floor and placed his palm against the floor. "Here we go! Quakga!!" At that moment, a tall thin wall of earth appeared between PSI guy and the control panel before roughly shoving the Shy Guy away. "Now then, shall we get started?"
Now that PSI Guy was seperated from the panel, Gantz quickly opened up with a barrage of Firaga spells, Fiery meteors that fired off at PSI Guy like bullets.

PSI Guy managed to shield himself from some of the meteors while dodging the rest. One, however, zipped dangerously close to his hood. This guy certainly was no pushover... Then again, neither was he. Landing from a backflip to avoid the last of Gantz's onslaught, the psychically-gifted Shy Guy returned fire--quite literally--with a PK Fire gamma.
Danny, meanwhile, finally located a security booth and knocked on the door. A guard opened it to peek out, cocking an eyebrow at the young man. "What are you doing in here, kid? You don't look like staff to me."
Danny was panting from all his nonstop searching. He pointed in the general direction he came from, wheezing, "There's a...dangerous...intruder....in the...generator...room..."

The weird energy shot out of PSI guy and shot towards Gantz with an aggressive passion. However rather then worry about the fiery energy, the young mage seemed to grin. "Oop! Not happening!"
He whipped up a barrier as the fire blazed around him. Understandibly he winced having a hard time holding the energy back... At that moment, he gazed down at his sword, an idea forming. "Soul! Get ready!"
The sword seemed a bit unsure. "What do you have in mind- H-HEY!"
At that moment, the barrier vanished as the flames continued. When PSI-Guy desisted said flames, he likely did it with a grin... Only to find that a new barrier now covered the boy... One made of crystal. "Heheheh... Nice try sucker." At that word, the crystal barrier cracked...
Before it shattered outwards, all of the pieces directed around the room, many of them aiming for PSI-Guy. Meanwhile Gantz prepped another spell, using Soul Calibur as a magical conduit. "Get ready Soul! We may have to do that again soon!"
The sword meanwhile seemed to glance at Gantz, it's energy feeling mildly impressed. "Not bad. Pretty clever in fact."

The psychic was stunned when the young wizard managed to avoid injury by encasing himself in crystal. it was almost as if someone had diamondized him, except that he'd done it to himself and could easily break himself out. As much as he refused to admit it, PSI Guy was impressed. He rushed to throw up a counter to block the shards of crystal, though he still ended up with a few close calls.
"Not bad, not bad..." he smirked condescendingly. "Though perhaps we both need to just--" Without warning, he fired a thick blast of powerful freezing energy Gantz's way. "...chill for a moment."
As the fight went on, Danny continued to try to to get the guards' cooperation. "Look, I know it sounds crazy, but there's some kind of powerful psychic wandering around in here, and this guy I met and I tracked him to a generator room. I dunno what he's doing there, but it's probably no good."
The guards looked to each other with varying levels of skepticism on their faces.

Gantz saw the ice energy coming his way and quickly reacted. "Okay, it doesn't look like fire energy is going to help so..." With a fast spell, he retreated past the door as the Ice energy shot through the door and hit the wall just outside.
With a frown, Gantz zipped up his jacket and got ready for another round. "Okay, if that's the way it's gonna be." He reeled around the door. "Try that again! I dare you!!"
If PSI Guy complied with his request, he would've been surprised to find his elemental attack bounce off of the jacket. "Magical armor. You'd be surprised how many people on this island know elemental attacks like that. It's good to have some cloth armor for protection."
After saying that, Gantz offered his riposte. "SHIVA!"
-----------------------------------------------
At that moment, the guards heard a loud boom which echoed through the hall.

The guards jumped, alerted by the bang. "What the hell...?" mumbled one in surprise as they ran off to investigate, Danny hurrying to keep up.
The psychic mercenary quickly realized he'd underestimated this kid as he returned the gesture. The moment that incantation left Gantz's lips, he knew what was coming; he'd been around long enough to pick up on these things.
By the time the wizard's blast of ice dissipated, PSI Guy was shown to have been thrown back towards the far wall; a wall of steam simmered around him. Using a combination of PK Fire and PSI Shield, he'd managed to create a flame barrier that extinguished (ironically-worded figure of speech) the bulk of the attack. However, it still managed to knock him off his feet.

There was a light grin on Gantz's face as he watched PSI-guy get up. "Do you give wise-ass? The next shot I make might not be so lenient." He cracked his knuckles. "One thing you need to know about this island; Never judge people by their appearances. It will always end badly if you do."
He took a moment to wipe the ice from his jacket. "Anyways, let's get down to it, since you should be in a more speaking mood now... Why are you here?"

Just as Gantz asked, the blaring of alarms filled the room. Every screen quickly bathed the area in red light, as black, bold letters spelled out two words on each: "CRITICAL ALERT".
The scowl on PSI Guy's face turned to a smirk as he stood up straight. "Looks like you managed to stall me long enough to stay and explain..."
The guards were soon to arrive, followed by an out of breath Danny.

Gantz noticed the grin and raised an eyebrow curiously...
For a guy that was cornered, out-gunned, and out-manned... He didn't seem to act like he was any of those things. Slowly his curiosity grew to suspicion. "...... Okay... Start talking..."

PSI Guy casually dusted himself off as he did so, "You saw me playing around on the terminals, didn't you?" he asked. "With enough tweaking in just the right places, the power and information flow between the power grid and the generator here is completely bugged up. Now the entire system is overloading."
He glanced the guards' way as the stepped in and looked around. "Your only chance is if you can manage to completely disconnect the generator from the system and give it time to cool off. If not..." His grin turned sadistic. "Well, let's just say, the studio's gonna have to hire a contractor to replace an entire wing. Good luck!"
With that, he took off around the generator, moving faster and faster until he vanished in a whir and a pop.
One of the guards shivered anxiously. "The generators around here are connected to the grid in a really complex and hard to undo manner so nobody unauthorized can remove them," he explained as a few of his coworkers went to the terminals and hastily got to work. "Even for someone trained to work this thing in an emergency, pulling it off with without a lot of time is difficult at best..."
Danny gulped. "Can it be done...?"

There was a gulping sound as Gantz took in the reactor. "Well it has to work..." He looks to the guards. "But come on guys, that maniac said our best chance was to cut the power and let this thing cool off. Isn't there like this big shut-off switch we can use? We might not have enough time."
He looked around the generator, trying his best to find something that would match the description of a Shut-off switch. "Come on, isn't there anything?"
