One of the guards was already in the back of the room unlocking the door over a large toggle switch. "Well, there's the emergency switch that shuts off most of the power..." he said. "But from what that creep said, the generator needs to be completely disconnected before we can avoid any major damage."
As the guard pulled the emergency switched down, the room darkened a little, and most of the alarms quieted. However, there were still warning lights blinking everywhere. The rest of the guards were scrambling to implement authorization codes and safety protocols to cut the generator from the system. The wing of the building drawing power from the generator began drawing reserve power from neighboring generators, but the one in the room was still looking somewhat dangerously overheated...

Groaning at the news, Gantz watched as the guards shut off the emergency switch, shutting off everything a moment but never once stopping the main generator itself. They wouldn't have a lot of time to shut down the main power... He supposed he could try draining the generator... But when it crackled with electricity he immediately scrapped that idea.
What could he do??
.... Wait a sec...
"How long should it take to get the main power off throughout the entire building, thereby shutting this thing before the kaboom?"
