Meiling nodded to Alice. "Thanks for that," she replied, then focused her chi on his wing. Considering who she was, it seemed that she had nearly endless reservoirs of chi as contrasted to Michael. The bones would begin to reform and reconnect, coming back together to fix the wing. Thank god it didn't need to be amputated, a certain rainbow colored pegasus thought, as she moved closer to Soarin' so that he could see her.
"Soarin', are you ok?" Rainbow asked. She looked legitimately worried, he'd notice. He was one of her idols, and she had been distressed to hear of him being injured. Seeing him in such a state must've been heartwrenching. She had not missed the comfort from Fluttershy. Actually it did soothe her, otherwise she might still be crying. But even though she cared deeply for the other pegasus, she was lost in her own little world worrying about the Wonderbolt. That's why Faust said she would be a bad sister, people.

Seeing they were making good progress healing the Wonderbolt, Spike sighed with relief. When it became clear how hungry the winged stallion was, he seized the opportunity.
"Hey, if you still want more to eat, we still have some of the triple-decker nut-crazy vanilla cream cookies I made last night!" he offered cheerfully.

Still trying to help, Fluttershy patted Rainbow's side with her wing. But she realized the other pegasus wasn't interested at the moment. Soarin' occupied her full attention. She was a little down about this but she understood. It would be rude of her to be upset about this.
So she stepped away from Rainbow and instead moved forward to make sure Soarin' was well tended to. She'd had a lot of experience tending to injured animals, which he technically was. The wound was bandaged up (it shocked her a little to see an actual wound that bad, but her concern helped her through it) well enough, and the bleeding was stopping. The wing looked like it was being shaped back into place by the chi Meiling was giving out. She paused a moment to marvel at it. Was this what she wanted to teach her?
To the best of her knowledge, the wing was coming along beautifully. Soarin' would more than likely make a full recovery. She smiled softly and turned back to Rainbow Dash, explaining her diagnosis.

Soarin' looked over at Rainbow. "Rainbow Dash?! ...Didn't expect to run into you like this, that's for sure." He motioned for her to come a little closer. After she did so, he gingerly moved his wing that was being healed; there was minimal pain and it seemed to be having little difficulty moving. He said, "Well... I think I will be now, thanks to you guys. Guess that's another thing I have to thank you for, besides saving our flanks at the Best Young Fliers competition... well, and saving my pie at the Gala, but that one's just peanuts. So... thanks."
He gave Rainbow a quick, one-foreleg hug (Because his right foreleg still felt weird). His stomach growled again and he winced slightly. "Uh... I think I'll take you up on that offer. Urgh... this is weird, even for me; why am I so hungry?"
Michael walked into the living room with the cookies, saying, "That's probably because of Marisa's potion; it speeds up your body's natural healing, but it does so by burning its energy more rapidly. So... eat up and rest, and your body will pick up the slack."
Soarin' swallowed several cookies then said, "Who are you guys anyway? Do you know these people, Rainbow? ...For that matter, what are these people? They don't look like anything I've ever seen..."

Rainbow blushed lightly at Soarin' hugging her, but it faded quickly. It was one of her idols, after all. This was the equivalent of Luigi actually getting recognized as a hero, after all, and not being forced to hide in his brother's spotlight. However, she had to get over it. She had to look cool for him, after all, especially since he was going to get better. At his questions, however, she blinked, but then chuckled. "Ok Soarin', I suggest you brace yourself for this one. I've got a lot of explaining to do. You see... we're not in Equestria anymore. I don't know the specifics either and my friend Twilight Sparkle could probably tell it to us in all that fancy scientific talk, but basically we've been transported to a different world called Dimensional Island, a hub to all kinds of different worlds apparently. Guys, could you introduce yourselves?"
Meiling grinned. "My name's Hong Meiling."
"Just call her China. Everyone else does," Patchouli replied. Meiling's face twisted into a scowl.
"Please don't call me China. Anyway, I'm a chinese dragon youkai. It's more subtle then the others though. I look like a proper human being."
Patchouli shrugged. "My name is Patchouli Knowledge."
"Just call her Patchy. Everyone else does," Rainbow said with a snicker. Just like what Patchouli did to Meiling. Even Meiling got a chuckle out of that one. Patchouli did not give any rude retorts or comebacks, but remained neutral as ever.
"I am a magician youkai, and a highly accomplished one at that. I serve under the lady of our world's night, Remilia Scarlet."
Then Satori had to introduce herself. "My name is Satori Komeiji. My name is my species."
"And she's a..." Rainbow began.
"... mind reader." Satori finished.

Spike stepped forward to introduce himself as well. "I'm Spike; I'm a dragon," he said cordially. "I'm from Equestria too, but... we've never met, so yeah... I believe you've met Twilight Sparkle, the unicorn who hatched me." In fact, Spike had been told all about the Young Fliers Competition at which the six friends met three of the Wonderbolts, Soarin' included.

Relieved that she had been right, Fluttershy stepped up. "And I'm Fluttershy... we went to school in Cloudsdale at the same time, though I'm sure you don't remember me... I was at the competition Rainbow Dash was in..." She smiled. "I'm very glad you're okay. Rainbow Dash was very worried about you, as were all of us."
She added any details to the situation the others might have forgotten, though neglected to mention for now how Rainbow had been frozen solid. Probably best not to take away from the happy occasion.

Soarin' furrowed his brow for a minute, trying to remember. Eventually, a flash of recognition crossed his face. "Ah! Yeah, I remember you! I saw you jumping like crazy, cheering for Rainbow... well, through the blurred vision and concussion I got from that Unicorn... Wow, how long has it been?!" He gave Fluttershy a hug as well, moving his right foreleg a little too far. "Aah! Ow..."
Marisa said, "Hey, easy there! ...Huh... what's up with your leg? Hey, Meiling? Could you check this, please?" Marisa stepped back a little, then added, "My name's Marisa Kirisame. I'm a magician like Patchy, but I'm a human."
Alice then curtsied, saying, "My name is Alice Margatroid. I am a youkai magician like Ms. Knowledge. However..." Several dolls flew by Alice. "I control dolls instead of typical magic."
Michael then said, "The name's Michael. Michael Neilsen. I'm a human... an Audiomancer. I can manipulate sound waves. That's how I was able to hear you."
Soarin' said, "Ah... thanks. If it weren't for you... well. Best not to think about that." He thought to himself, '...Spitfire... I can't believe I almost died... I never would've told you how much I... Ah horseapples!' His eyes wandered to Satori, and he had been struck with the full implications of a mind-reader.
Michael chuckled and said, "I'm gonna run to the City for a bit, grab some fresh bandages and stuff like that. Be back in a couple hours. If you get cold, Soarin', someone can grab a blanket from my room for you." He then walked outside, Soarin' watching him.
Soarin' said, "City? There's a city here?"
Marisa responded, "Yeah, it's a little ways away... about ten miles or so."
Soarin' then said, his head quirked in confusion, "...If it's ten miles away, how is he going to be back in a few hour-" ...The interruption was Soarin' seeing Michael take off into the air. Needless to say, his jaw dropped. "H-how, w-what, h-huh, wha?" Soarin' said, "...I don't even know... tell me later." He snagged one last cookie, and, after he ate it, closed his eyes, falling asleep on the couch. He started snoring lightly.

Meiling frowned. "He might've bruised it heavily after collision. It's always possible." She moved her chi to fix his leg as well and watched it work, then finally noticed Fluttershy watching her and grinned. "Not that I intended to demonstrate this in such a way, but this is what I'll be teaching you how to do. Since you're not a fighter, I think you'll find this quite helpful."
Rainbow remained silent for a moment. She was happy Soarin' would be alright and felt a great deal of pride at getting a hug from him, but some sort of epiphany kicked in. Anything can happen in this place. People can die here... and this world integrated with Equestria, meaning the same might happen over there. Twilight... Rarity... Applejack... hold out for me, ok?

Spike chuckled as Soarin' reacted to Michael flew away. "Yeah, that was pretty much my reaction too," he said. Of course, then he noticed the wounded Wonderbolt had flopped down on the couch and fell asleep and just shrugged.
Then another thought came to him. It would be quite a few years before his wings started growing in, but... "Hey, think he could teach me to use my chi to fly?" he asked eagerly. "...You know, while I'm still wingless..."

Fluttershy smiled from the partial hug, but winced as Soarin' managed to hurt himself. "You lay down and rest. You've had quite the experience," she said, helping him get to the couch. She was attentive of Meiling's healing efforts. "It looks really helpful," she agreed. "Do you think I'll be able to learn it well enough?"

Marisa said to Spike, "I dunno, kid. I'm not that knowledgeable about Chi, but I'm pretty sure you're a little too young for your Chi pathways to have grown enough to handle that. Marisa then thought to herself, '...I hope that Mike remembers to bring antacid stuff back... that potion's gonna wear off in about an hour or so...'
Cut an hour or so later, and Mike touched down outside the house and set Rainbow down. "Here we are, my house... hope you don't mind company; besides my two friends that I came here with, I got a lot more that came... He walked inside, Rainbow following; he pulled the small bottle and poured some of the pink liquid inside into the cap.
Sure enough, Soarin' was lying on the couch, his face slightly tinged with green, and his face screwed up in discomfort. "Urrrrgh..." he moaned, "My stomach... ugh..."
Mike said, "Here. Drink this, it'll help." Soarin' did so, and he relaxed a little, falling back asleep. Michael then walked into the kitchen, setting out the materials for the pie he was going to make. He glanced outside and saw the rest of the group out there watching the other Rainbow doing Danmaku work with Marisa... except for Meiling and Fluttershy, who were working with Fluttershy's Chi.
'*Sigh* ...How the hell am I going to explain this one?' Michael asked himself.
Meanwhile, Sanae and company were still a ways away from the Woods. The green-haired miko said, "I'm certain that they're this way!"

An hour later, the others had stepped out to do some work. The winged Rainbow was working on her spellcards while Meiling and Fluttershy practiced healing, Meiling having already helped Fluttershy to control her chi. She seemed as natural to it as Rainbow, but could not really shoot danmaku as well. While they worked outside, Wingless Rainbow walked in and noticed Soarin' laying on the couch, looking quite ill. Gasping, she ran over and checked him. "Soarin'? What happened to you?" Considering Winged Rainbow knew and was outside, Soarin' would probably be hella confused.
Somewhere farther off, next to Sanae, were Masahiro, Trevor, and Pinkie Pie. "We're going by your lead, but the woods are usually dangerous. I can't imagine why anyone would make their home out here." Trevor sighed lightly.
"It kinda reminds me of the Everfree Forest." Pinkie giggled. "Does that mean we're gonna meet Zecora out here too?"
"Maybe, but that's not the plan. Rainbow should be out here."

Spike frowned when Marisa told him he'd still be too young to learn how to fly in such a manner, meaning he still remained earthbound. "Aww..." Ah well. Looks like it was back to waiting for wings.
After all had been said and done, the gang went out back to further Rainbow's danmaku training. Though unfamiliar with this stuff about danmaku and chi, Spike could tell himself that Rainbow was really good at this.
Putting a hand to his belly, Spike noted a tiny bit of hunger. And there was one good snack to go with a good show. "Anyone else want popcorn?" he asked, getting up. "I think I'll go in and pop some."

The pale pegasus didn't seem to mind her inability to use danmaku all that much. She was really just concerned with getting the whole chi manipulation right. Once she'd gotten the hang of that, she readily took to learning to heal. She really wanted to be able to do this, it would be so helpful to everyone.
"I... I think I'm ready for a practice attempt," she said, looking up at Meiling. She didn't know what she could try it on, though.
She remained oblivious to the large group coming towards the house, though it had one of her close friends in it.
