"Oh... well... fighting isn't really my thing, Rainbow, so... You can go ahead and learn it if you want. I hope you can master it, of course," she reassured Rainbow Dash. She really didn't want to fight things if she could avoid it, as she'd always counted on her abilities to calm any wild beasts.
She instead turned to watch the others, staying quiet and out of the way. She didn't want to interrupt anything, and she didn't really understand it anyway.

Rainbow blinked lightly. Fluttershy wasn't a fighter, she knew, but considering how Equestria got pulled into all of this business... her concerns were being voiced by another. "You might wish to watch and think about it," Patchouli said. "Your world's connected to this one, so it means that anybody could get into Equestria as well."
"It works both ways?" Rainbow shook her head lightly, only just noticing what Michael was doing. "Hey, what the...?!"
"Now now Rainbow, he's helping you open up your inner Chi. It is very awkward, but I assure you it is only for your benefit," Meiling replied.
Rainbow grimaced. "Oh fine..." The concept of the current implications being both considered both immoral and illegal didn't hit Rainbow's mind, of course, as she lived in a world where humans did not exist... either did not exist or were not seen. She spread her wings lightly to feel the breeze on them. Mind you, this was natural to her. She was unaware of the fanterm "wing-boner," you see, and had no concept of the even higher levels of awkwardness that it would cause.

When Michael looked up from what he was doing and noticed Rainbow's wings, he visibly stiffened and his eyes grew wide as saucers. "Eep!" His face grew crimson; one could've sold his head for an apple from Sweet Apple Acres... he stopped and said, "M-maybe t-this would g-go b-better if M-Meiling did this i-instead." The poor sap looked like he was about to collapse.
Marisa and Alice shared a confused look between themselves; they had no clue what was going on.

Fluttershy similarly was confused. She got up and sauntered softly over to Michael. "Excuse me, are you all right?" she asked, laying a hoof on him gently. "You suddenly turned as red as Applejack's apples..." She lay her hoof over Michael's head to check his temperature. "You're burning up, oh, that won't do..." She turned to Marisa and Alice. "Could either of you maybe help me find an ice pack for him?"

Rainbow blinked at Michael's sudden flushed expression. "What's with you?"
"Michael, are you ok?" Meiling blinked lightly at his request and shrugged lightly. "I don't see what's wrong, but if you want me to..."
Patchouli was feeling a mighty bit mischievous herself. Her universe's Marisa was rubbing off on her a bit. Waiting until Meiling got to work, Patchouli then chose to say, "He got embarassed because of her wing boners." This caused Meiling's stoic behavior to turn twitchy and embarassed.
"Wing... what?" Rainbow had never heard the term before. Meiling knew a little more about it thanks to Flandre.
"Like any fanbase, you have some weirdos in your group, Rainbow," Patchouli said, face hidden behind her book. "Wing boners came some time before, but they've passed onto you. Basically... the idea that your wings spread out like that when you're sexually arroused."
"WHOA WHOA WHOA!" Rainbow Dash flushed heavily. "I just like to feel the breeze on my wings! It's nothing like that!" Even then, however, Rainbow backed away a bit in embarassment, despite her brash attitude. "Great... now I can't focus on this lesson because I've got two people thinking I'm going through mating season. Oh what else could happen?" She ought not to have asked that for it would be someone's que to appear.

Just as Rainbow asked, a small purple figure catapulted through the forest sky. The figure bounced off a few branches of the nearest trees then flew in an arc toward the group. It managed to knock a few people over before landing face-first into the ground in their midst.
That "purple figure," as it were, appeared reptilian if humanoid; about the size of a small child. From the top of the head to the tip of the tail was a for of green spikes that went from large to small.
After a moment of lying there, the small reptile wearily raised his head and a claw to rub it. "Whoa... That was nuts..." he could be heard moaning; his voice was that of a young boy. He didn't seem to particularly notice anyone else that was there just yet.

Michael had already gone inside to try and clear his head (and make his blush go away)
Marisa was knocked over by the purple cannonball; she had grabbed Alice to try and support herself, but they both ended up falling on the ground. When Marisa jumped up, Hakkero at the ready, she was surprised by what she saw. "...A dragon?! Cool!" After all, Dragons had not been seen in Gensokyo in a very, veeeery long time.

Fluttershy had already gone inside with Michael to make sure he was okay!
"We really need to get you something to cool down that temperature or you'll have a really bad fever on your hooves..." She glanced around for something cool. Even regular water would be useful. For now she tried to escort Michael to somewhere he coudl lie down. "Would you please lay down for me so I can take care of you?" she asked delicately, genuinely concerned.
Unfortunately she was inside, and missed the purple dragon's crash entrance.

Michael turned towards Fluttershy and gave her a hug. "Thank you for caring that much, but I'm not sick, Fluttershy. I just need... a really, really cold shower right now... well, that and some relaxant tea..." Michael walked over to the teapot and started to boil water. He then went into the bathroom, doing just that.
Meanwhile, Alice had stood up and was looking Spike over; she had never seen a dragon before and was curious.

Rainbow yelped when people began to fall over. Karma hit Patchouli as she went down with the other magicians, giving out a little signature "Mukyu~!" as she hit the ground. Of course duty caused Hong Meiling to rush and help her up, but the deed was already done. Brushing herself off, she looked at Spike. If she had any hostility, it quickly reverted to neutrality. "Well well well... it appears the worlds are merging faster then I expected."
"Spike?!" Rainbow was shocked; she recognized the baby dragon alright. "Wait a minute... if you're here, does that mean Twilight's somewhere nearby?!"

Pulling to a kneeling position, Spike shook his head vigorously pulling himself together. He knew that voice anywhere! "Rainbow!" he cried, sending a relieved smile the pegasus's way. "Man, am I glad to see you! Everyone's been looking all over for ya! Then Fluttershy disappeared on us and..." The baby dragon frowned, scratching his head as he looked around. "Now that you mentioned it, I'm not really sure where Twilight is either." With a shrug, he figured, "Ah, she's probably not too far off; we didn't get separated all that long ago..."
Standing fully up, Spike stared around and observed his surroundings. Curious... "By the way... Do you know what section of the forest we're in?" he asked. "I don't think I've ever been around this part before." And he'd been into the Everfree Forest quite a few times himself, most notably on his own when he ran away thinking Twilight abandoned him for an owl. It was only then that he really got a good look at the others that were there. He'd never seen any creatures quite like them. "And... What are these guys?" he asked, cocking an eyebrow curiously as he pointed around at them.

The pale pony smiled, glad she could be helpful to Michael. While the tea was made, she also started looking around for ingredients to make her special healthy soup. She also spread her wings a little, casually to let the air flow through them, and to stretch them out. She hummed softly as she worked, committed to having it ready by the time Michael got out!

It didn't take very long; Michael stepped out, dried properly and clothed with his blush completely gone. At least he didn't need to worry about any misunderstandings like that again... He heard Fluttershy humming as he walked into the kitchen. He noticed her starting to make her soup, and he walked over.
He gave her a hug again and said, "You're a real sweetheart, doing this; I'm perfectly fine, see? No flushing." Michael then took the steaming teapot off the heater and poured some cups. He then walked to the door and called out, using his power to send it to the group, "I figure we're not going to make much more progress today; We have stuff cooking up in here."
Michael then walked back to Fluttershy and said, "Would you like some help with the cooking?"

Rainbow sighed. Just like herself before all of the events prior to this moment, just like Fluttershy a few moments before him, Spike was absolutely clueless. Before Rainbow could answer, however, Patchouli spoke. "Except for Marisa..." she pointed to the black and white tarbed witch. "... who is completely human, we are Youkai, powerful creatures that some would consider demons. We come from a different world then yours in Equestria. And your world's boundaries have merged with the boundaries of this world, the Dimensional Isles. You're no longer in the Everfree Forests, little dragon."
"Yeah... she pretty much summed it up right there," Rainbow said, glad she didn't have to explain a second time. "Fluttershy's in the house over there and, if Twilight's not here right now, then odds are she's still in Equestria. So we know she's ok along with the others."

"Demons...?" Spike rubbed his chin, looking Patchouli over. "You don't really seem like what I would've thought..."
He suddenly shook his head in surprise when the rest of her explanation sunk in. "Wait-Wait a minute," he said. "Dimensional Isles? Are you saying we've crossed over into a parallel universe?" Spike remembered briefly reading some section in one of Twilight's library books about the theory behind parallel universes once when he didn't have much else to do. He didn't recall that much, but he remembered the basic jist of it. So then this was actually an alternate world to Equestria? Dude... this was getting kinda freaky...
