Fluttershy turned around. Everyone sure was talking about something back there. What could it possibly be--
"Oh my gosh... Is he..." She stared at Michael, who wasn't moving. She became incredibly worried for him, but relaxed when he finally moved. "Oh... He's okay??" she asked, concerned for his health. He looked very tired and achy, but alive at least. He would get better.
Relieved of this, she turned back to Rainbow Dash. "Are you alright, too?" she asked, taking the bowl of warm soup and offering it to the rainbow pegasus. "I want to make sure you are nice and warm, and this soup should help do just that." She held it up to Dash's mouth, to help her drink it. She seemed oblivious to the implications that death was a distinct possibility of an attack on Equestria.
Or perhaps she was keeping quiet about it and simply did not want to distract themselves with something unhelpful for the moment.

Patchouli and Meiling were both shocked at Michael standing, but Meiling was the first to move to him. Pressing her hands to his chest, she began to help his chi flow by using some of her own. "Hang in there. I've got you," she said lightly.
"You survived... I must say, you are quite powerful. And I doubt that clown will be dealing with us again, thankfully." Patchouli offered a small smile, but then her neutral demeanor returned. "Well we can't celebrate too much unfortunately. We've got to get him into healing, then take care of a possible hypothermia-induced Pegasus."
Rainbow sipped the soup lightly. The heat didn't do much, but it would help in the long run. Too much heat in too short a time, after all, could induce shock. So she'd have to take it slow and easy.

Mokou's jaw dropped to the ground, her status as a Japanese video game character be damned. After picking her jaw back up, she said, "...How the hell did you survive that?!"
Michael started talking a bit smoother now that his Chi was flowing more easily. "You, actually. When you burst into the clearing after I was impaled... my mind was focused on you. My Sync with Okuu failed after Giga Flare... and I desperately attempted to save myself; I didn't have much time left. Heheh... I guess I owe Yukari now for breaking my limits, I just barely had enough energy left to Sync with you. Had I been limited, I wouldn't have had enough energy... and I'd be dead for good right now." Michael rested a minute, then said, "...I don't know... how you can do it, Mokou. Death is not fun... and neither is resurrection..."
Mokou jumped a bit. "Ah! I gotta get that fire started." Mokou ran back into the good-as-new house and threw a small fireball into the fireplace. As it burned, she sat down, feeling more tired than she had ever felt before.
Michael said, "...Meiling; set me down on that couch by Rainbow. There's a warm blanket on my bed in my room; go get it for her."
After she did so, Michael ruffled Rainbow's mane a little and said, "...You okay, Rainbow? You feeling alright?"

Glad to see Mike was alive and had a good explanation as to why, Spike looked around and remarked, "We'd probably better find some shelter from the rain, especially since the house got... Oh." It was only then that he actually noticed that the house had actually repaired itself. The stunned young mythological lizard really had nothing much to say on that other than, "...Sweet house."
As Spike followed the others inside, he looked up to Michael, taking a considerable amount of interest in this human now. "So... You can 'sync' with other people and copy their abilities, huh? Cool!" he said earnestly. "Could you basically do that with anyone? Even Rainbow Dash? Or me? Hey, if you 'synced' with a unicorn, could you use unicorn magic?"

Not particularly caring exactly why Michael was okay, just glad that he was, Fluttershy sent a happy smile his way before turning back to Rainbow Dash. She nuzzled up closely against her, letting her wing lay over her friend's back, hoping to pass as much body heat to her as possible.
"When you were frozen in that block, I was really worried about you, Rainbow Dash," she said softly. "Is there anything I can do to help make you more comfortable?" Trying to warm her with herself was the only thing she could think of to do at the moment.

If Rainbow Dash weren't frozen, the action from Fluttershy might've caused her wings to open. As it was right now, however, the warmth was well appreciated. She felt Michael's hand ruffle through her mane and Meiling bring her the blanket. All of this coddling was something she was unused to and she hated it, but she recognized that, after what happened to her, it was probably necessary. She also realized they couldn't heat her up too fast. She may not have been the sharpest tool in the shed like Twilight or Fluttershy, but she knew enough to know that too much heat to a person who went through such frozen shock like her would lead to a negative response, to say the least.
"I-I-I'll be fine," Rainbow said, the stammering mostly due to the cold. "F-Fluttershy, I-I'll be fine, b-b-but could you pl-pl-please bring me... m-maybe a lil' s-s-soup?" She probably liked the soup, but it was warm to sip on and, as a result, was necessary. "U-U-Umm... a-also... F-F-Fluttershy... I-I think y-y-you and I sh-should t-train together... i-in case s-s-s-someone like that c-clown sh-shows up in E-E-Equestria..."
"We'll worry about training after you've healed," Meiling replied. "And if she doesn't want to fight, then I can give her training in a different manner. Chi isn't just used for fighting. It also helps in the art of healing; stemming blood flow and regenerating the body... the manipulation of chi is a very versatile."

Mokou said, "Try not to push yourself too hard. A little rest ought to help a lot." Mokou then walked back to the kitchen and started some water boiling. "...I dunno about you guys, but I need some relaxant tea after that little ordeal..."
Michael thought for a minute. He tested his arms, and when he saw that he could move them somewhat more easily, he grabbed a nearby pen and piece of paper. While he wrote something on it, Michael said, "In response to your question, ...it's not really 'copying' abilities, really... I don't fully understand how it works, myself. All I really know is that when I do it, I borrow power from someone; occasionally, I get Spellcards, too. This lady from back in Gensokyo, Yukari, explained it to me, but not a lot of it made sense."
Michael continued writing on the paper. Michael then looked back at Rainbow and Fluttershy and smiled. "I'm just glad that you're doing okay, Rainbow; I wouldn't be able to live with myself if any of you guys got killed on my watch..." His face fell a minute, then he turned back to the paper.

"Someone like that... appearing in Equestria???" Spike shuddered, remembering all too well the carnage they all witnessed not long ago. "And I thought Discord was bad," he moaned anxiously. "If that clown thing had showed up in Ponyville instead..."

Fluttershy again tried not to think about it. "I... I think we should, Rainbow Dash... I wouldn't want our home to have to deal with that..." She fetched more soup for Rainbow Dash, offering it to her gingerly. She smiled, glad she was starting to feel better. "After your soup you should take a nice nap. When you're done you'll feel much better."
She turned to Mokou. "Thank you very much, once again, for helping us..." She looked down, still a bit sad over the events over the day.

Rainbow Dash sipped at the soup lightly. "Th-Thanks Fluttershy. Y-You're the best."
Patchouli heard some rustling outside and moved out. An armored figure stood there. "You're late," she replied.
"It's harder to travel without wings," the figure replied. "This suit is also experimental. I haven't tested anything out on it yet. Still, I owe you for helping me figure out it was Felix who killed me, so I came as quickly as I could... literally."
"Right. I think I'll be staying out here for a while. So I want you to go let Madam Scarlet know of my absence. Don't worry. I'm sure she'll take it reasonably well."
"She'll probably be overjoyed you got out of the library for once, even if against your will. Still, I'll let her know where to find you in case she ever wants to come visit." With that, the figure walked off. Patchouli moved back into the house.
"O-Ok." Rainbow attempted to pick herself up slowly after a while, but her body was still shaking. "I-I-I'm gonna take Fluttershy's a-advice and go... get some sl-sleep."

Michael had heard the talking outside, but felt it best not to say anything. No point in causing any unnecessary confrontation; there had been enough of that already. He said, "Well... if this works, you shouldn't need to worry about that too much." He worked at finishing what he was writing.
Mokou was never really a touchy-feely person. That having been said, when Fluttershy thanked her, she couldn't resist giving the pale-yellow Pegasus a hug, being careful that the soup wouldn't spill. "Don't sweat it; helping people's what I do."
Michael said, "Mokou, Rainbow can use my bed; I'll just crash here. Can you give her a hand?"
Mokou nodded and said, "Sure thing, Mike. Upsy-daisy!" She carefully picked Rainbow up, saying "Hope you don't mind getting this little bit of help; you still look kinda shaky." Mokou brought Rainbow into Michael's room. "There ya go; see you in the morning." Mokou then went over to a guest room, falling asleep herself.
Michael finished writing. He looked over his message.
Dear Princess Celestia,
I sincerely hope that my message manages to reach you; this is a matter of utmost importance. By now, I'm certain that you've figured out that I am not your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle. My name is Michael Neilsen, and I am a human from another world; I am currently in a place called the Dimensional Island with several of my friends. Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Spike are all here and... mostly unharmed. Rainbow Dash is currently recovering from hypothermia, but should start to feel better soon.
...I am sending this message to let you know where the missing ponies (and dragon) are, because I'm certain that their friends are worried. I also wish to warn you about potential dangers. Now that Equestria is connected to the Dimensional Island, anyone can enter. ...Our recent encounter with an evil mage by the name of Kefka proved as a sort of wake-up. He froze Rainbow and killed me, though I was able to resurrect, thankfully. I and my friends are training Rainbow and Fluttershy; Rainbow is learning a combat art and Fluttershy is learning to heal people. Be extremely careful and prepare defenses; I don't know if Equestria will be attacked, but it pays to be prepared.
Sincerely,
Michael Neilsen
After looking over his letter and making sure it was sufficient, Michael said to Spike, "Could you try... and send this... to the Princess for me?" He handed Spike the letter and fell asleep, drained of energy. He hadn't been expecting to be so tired.

A letter? For the princess? Spike took the letter, but he looked a little unsure. "I don't know... Unless it's one of Twilight's scroll papers which are specifically tuned for this kinda thing, the process of sending anything to Princess Celestia can be a bit comp..." he started explaining before finally noticing that Michael had fallen asleep. Even though he knew by now he couldn't hear him, he added with an awkward smile, "But... I'll see what I can do."
Taking the letter in both hands, Spike carefully rolled it up. Once he had sealed it into a tube form, he grabbed Michael's pen and marked the roll neatly with the Equestrian royal seal. With Michael's message in hand, the baby dragon walked over to and opened the nearest window. Since it wasn't written on Equestrian letter paper, he was going to have to make a conscious mental effort to make sure the next step went its proper course. Holding the roll up by the tip outside the window and taking in a deep breath, Spike spat out a small plume of green fire. The letter reduced to ashes and bright green smoke which swirled into the air before contracting into a ball and vanishing in the sky. If Equestria and Dimensional Island were indeed linked now, the letter would find that link and make its way to Princess Celestia.

Fluttershy gave a light squeak of happiness when Mokou gave her a hug, using a free leg to return it. She set the bowl down as Rainbow was done with it, following Mokou as she took Rainbow to go sleep. Making sure Rainbow was tucked in nice and warmly, she gave her a smile. She'd said it countless times in the last few minutes, but she meant it. She was incredibly glad that Rainbow Dash was all right.
Turning to leave that room, Fluttershy quietly closed the door, in time to see Spike about to send the letter. She walked up to him, looking out the window. "Sending a letter to the princess?" she asked, looking back to Spike. It was burned and gone, which assured her that it had worked. "Today was... a little active, wasn't it?"
