It was a nice, peaceful day in Ponyville. Fluttershy smiled as she looked around. She loved warm sunny days like this! She hadn't seen her childhood friend Rainbow Dash around lately, but she was probably busy keeping track of the weather, or trying to impress the Wonderbolts!
The pale yellow pony smiled. She really hoped Rainbow made it in soon. The blue pegasus would be so happy, and Fluttershy would be happy that she was happy.
Suddenly a little blue ball of something flew past her sight.
"Huh? Wh-what was that?" she asked, looking toward it. It was a bluebird! Flying pretty fast away from something! A little squirrel ran past her as well, then some more birds! What were they running from?
"Heeey!" she called, softly, "Don't be scared! Please come back!" she said, following after them, glancing back to see what might have spooked them.
She slowed down, seeing where they were going. Everfree Forest. Her ears drooped and her legs shook slightly. She was afraid of the forest. But she had to help the little creatures.
Mustering up her courage, Fluttershy slowly stepped into the forest. "Helloooo?" she called gently. "Where'd you go, little guys?"
She didn't remember how long she walked, or notice when the landscape seemed to change... And by the time she thought she might turn back, she realized she didn't know where she was. She'd never seen this part of the forest before.
"A-Anybody...?" she asked, hunkering down and shivering.

Michael was flying in the deeper part of the Woods. After his encounter with Rainbow, he decided to brush up on his flying skills; familiarize himself with what it felt like to fly with Chi. After all, if he wasn't on top of his game, he wouldn't be a very good teacher.
Coming to a stop in a fairly open clearing, Michael's ears twitched. One benefit of having Sound Manipulation as a power was very sensitive hearing. "Hm? What or who was that?" He looked around, trying to locate the source of the very quiet sound.

Fluttershy didn't quite hear the voice of the one above. She cringed a little more, before having a realization.
"Wait... A-All I have to do is find Zecora!" she said, cheering up a little. "She can help me find my way back home!" She looked around for the telltale blue flowers that would mean Zecora's house was nearby. Of course, she'd be careful not to step in it. The last time that happened her voice got changed! So embarrassing.
"Then again... I don't even know how to find her house..." The Poison Joke was nowhere near here. She realized once more how horribly lost she was.

Michael closed his eyes, focusing intently on any sound that sounded out of the ordinary. He heard one, a soft voice; he recognized that voice, it could've only been... "Fluttershy? She's here too?" ...Yeah. One downside to having Sound Manipulation as a power and the sensitive hearing that comes with it is that while it's easy to hear things, you can't always know where said things are in relation to you.
Michael then turned and shouted back towards his house, where Rainbow was with Marisa and Alice. "Hey! Rainbow! Fluttershy's here!" Michael then flew down to where he heard Fluttershy's voice coming from, being careful not to spook her. ...Yeah. That didn't work so well...

Rainbow was chilling out with Marisa, Alice, and Patchouli, though in a way she was also irritated. "Come on. I wanna get this started," she muttered to herself. She had heard the encouragements to wait from all three magicians, but it didn't make her any less anxious. It would be so cool to learn all those neat tricks. That way she'd be able to help her friends. She heard her name being called. Huh?! It's about time!
"Fluttershy's here!"
"WHAT?!" The blue colored Pegasus burst forth so fast Patchouli felt her book nearly catch fire, keeping it back to prevent it from actually doing so. Rainbow dashed through the foilage and the flora in order to find Michael, but needless to say, she found him and Fluttershy easily. Looking upon her yellow colored friend again brought a rush of relief and joy into the pegasus' heart the likes of which she never felt before. "Fluttershy!" Forgetting herself for a minute, she wrapped her arms around the pegasus... and quickly let go, of course, remembering she didn't like to act that touchy feely. "Did you get pulled through one of those portals too?"

Fluttershy was about to give up hope when she heard a familiar voice. "Aah! H-Huh? Rainbow Dash?" She started to turn around, when Rainbow suddenly wrapped her forelegs around her. That scared her a little but she was too happy to see her childhood friend!
"Rainbow Dash!" she said, smiling and hugging her friend back. It was a relief to see her in this scary place. "Portal? Um... no, I don't think so... I was just walking through Everfree Forest and then I didn't know where I was... I was hoping you knew..." She hadn't yet noticed Michael. Her attention right now was on her friend, and how thankful she was she was here.

Michael watched the reunion with a smile on his face. Rainbow seemed really happy to have her friend with her again. Fluttershy... 'God, that smile is so cute...' Michael brushed his hand against his nose and was a little startled when there was some blood on it. He thought to himself, '...Shit. I'm almost as bad as Ran or Sakuya... so Moe...' Taking a tissue, Michael quickly and discreetly wiped the blood away before clearing his throat, hoping to be noticed.

Fluttershy had no idea, did she? "Ummm... well... let's just say we're not exactly in Equestria anymore. I think this place is called the... Interdimensional Travel Station, a place where worlds meet. Ugh, Twilight would be better with explaining all of this, I'm still trying to wrap my head around it." And then Michael cleared his throat and Rainbow looked towards him. "Oh hey Mike. Thanks for letting me know Fluttershy's alright."

"Well... that's the official name, but the Dimensional Island is what most people call it. Anyway, Fluttershy, you're more than welcome to stay with us if you'd like. Also, Rainbow; I think we can at least start to have you learn how to access your Chi; that's the foundation for learning Danmaku."
Michael started walking, saying "Well, then. Shall we get going?" He jumped into the air and started flying back to the house.

"We're not in Equestria anymore...?" Fluttershy had a bit of a Blue Screen of Death moment. At the mention of Twilight's name, she realized the two of them were separated from their friends. Possibly forever!
"Oh no, Rainbow Dash, what about everypony else? What about all of our friends??" She stopped and turned at the voice behind her, yelping and falling over when she spotted Michael.
"Aah! Wh... who is that?" she asked, hiding behind Rainbow Dash.

Rainbow knew this was coming the minute she mentioned they were out of Equestria. Keeping her cool, she abandoned a bit of her usual character and put her front hoof on Fluttershy's "shoulder" as it were. "Relax Fluttershy. The other ponies are fine, most likely still in Equestria, and there's gonna be a way to get back. There are these... portal things... that connect this world to other worlds, including our world. So it's not like we can't get back to Equestria. We just got pulled here out of nowhere and... well, that's how it is right now." She shrugs lightly. "Still it's not all bad. I even made some new friends." As for the situation with Michael, Rainbow chuckled. "One of my new friends. His name is Michael. He's gonna teach me some special techniques he knows. Come on; I'll show you."
Patchouli stood up and floated over to the site Michael had chosen. She had helped choose the site as well. It was a more open area in the woods, after all, and it was near the edge if anything else. Appearing there before the others, she waved when Michael and Rainbow showed up, but then her eyes cocked a bit when she noticed Fluttershy. Rainbow saw Patchouli there and realized another unfamiliar face would get to her. "Don't worry. That's just Patchouli. She's kinda like Twilight... if Twilight never met us and stayed in her stuffy old library every day." Patchouli's eyebrows raised a bit at this statement, but she did not show hostility, looking as neutral as ever. She raised her arms and chanted some sort of unknown incantation that definently wasn't a spell card. Pretty soon, a vortex opened up on the ground in front of her.
Meanwhile, in Gensokyo, a certain guard was asleep on the job when her body was jolted to a rude awakening by the feeling of her body being blown upon by harsh winds. She felt herself falling through the vortex and yelped loudly. When she came out, she looked nearly terrified. The rainbow maned pony blinked lightly, then shook her head. "Now I do not know who she is," she replied. "And I once again have to question how viscious Patchouli can be."
The guard in question, Hong Meiling, turned to face Patchouli. "Patchouli-sama... why did you do that?"
"Though you might not know Michael here, as he is of a different universe's Gensokyo, it was you who helped him focus his chi and helped him learn how to fly in his universe," Patchouli replied. "And we're going to get you to do that for someone else."
"Oh, of course. As you wish, Patchouli-sama, but... who?" The minute Patchouli pointed to Rainbow Dash, she looked over and blinked lightly. "Patchouli-sama, that's just a pony."
"I am not just a pony."
"WHEN DO PONIES TALK?!" Meiling nearly jumped out of her skin at that one.

Michael's first response was to burst out laughing, kinda like Iori Yagami from King of Fighters (Hand covering his face). After he managed to calm himself, he said, "Okay! Alright Rainbow, sit there; on your haunches, please" After she did so, Michael said, "Okay. Chi is essentially life energy that flows through everything. Harnessing it is tricky, but not impossible. To fly using it, you need to be able to move it through all seven Chakras, from the one on the crown of your head to the one on the base of your spine. To make Danmaku with it, you only need three Chakras, the third, fourth and fifth ones."
Michael walked over to Rainbow. "These Chakras are located at the stomach (he tapped Rainbow's stomach with Chi-powered fingertips then), the heart (he tapped Rainbow's chest then), and the Third Eye (he tapped Rainbow's forehead). Danmaku done in this manner would be like unity of Mind, Body, and Spirit." At that, Michael stopped and turned to Meiling. "Um... is there anything I missed, Meiling?"

Fluttershy listened to Rainbow Dash, and was relieved once more at her assurance that their friends were okay and that there might be a way home. "Well, in that case... I think I can go with you... as long as you're there with me, okay?" she asked softly. Exploring this new place could be fun, but she was happier with Rainbow Dash to protect her.
After that, Fluttershy accompanied Rainbow and her new friend, trying to get a good idea what exactly Michael was. Whatever he was, there were apparently more of him! The Patchouli person even seemed, well, just as Rainbow Dash said, like Twilight Sparkle, only whatever kind of animal Michael was!
From that point, Fluttershy didn't exactly follow much of what was going on, and chose to simply look around and admire the scenery, and especially the local wildlife. After she'd had her fill of the local scenery, she quietly approached Rainbow Dash, sat beside her, and whispered. "Hey, Rainbow, what exactly are you, um, doing again?"

Rainbow did as she was told and sat on her haunches. She got a little overexcited about this lesson; she was rather eager to get to the more flashy parts, of course, but the idea that she'd be able to do things like that was enough to keep her attention. The minute Meiling was asked if Michael had gotten everything according to detail, she blinked lightly. "Y-Yes. Actually, that was completely accurate. I'm impressed you've caught on to Chi so well..."
"Don't act like you taught him when all you do is sleep on the job," Patchouli said, causing Meiling to tremble a bit.
Rainbow looked a little concerned about the woman when Fluttershy poked her and asked what she was doing. "I'm learning Danmaku! It's this super cool way of fighting that involves energy and seems to be unique to everyone who learns it!" She then gasps. "Hey Fluttershy, we should have you learn it too! You wouldn't have to stare at cockatrices anymore if you could just blast 'em, and it's totally non-lethal, so you'd never have to worry about hurting anything! And then you wouldn't have to be afraid of dragons anymore!"

Michael concentrated more Chi to his hands, but before he continued with what he was going to do, he turned back towards Patchouli and said, "Well, regardless; Meiling was still a good teacher. She also saved my Gensokyo, and if the same thing happened in yours, yours, too."
Michael then turned back towards Rainbow and said, "Now, this is gonna seem kinda awkward, but there is a purpose to it; I'm helping open the Chakras so your Chi will flow more easily; ...also, believe me, this will feel awkward, too, but it was a lot more awkward for me when I was learning this."
Michael, with his right hand glowing with his grey-colored chi, moved it up and down to each of the three Chakras. While that in and of itself wouldn't seem awkward, it was that he had to do it in an unbreaking line back and forth that made it so. Michael also thought, after hearing Rainbow's suggestion, 'Could Fluttershy handle learning Danmaku? It's pretty easy, at this stage, but it gets harder...' As he worked, Michael shot the others an inquiring look.
