Night glanced over his shoulder at the....what ever it was the mayor was. "Then you tried to feed me to it while you ran."

Mortals, somehow, seem to do a better job." The whole time she spoke, Ms. Dopple was shooting the nastiest look at Night, which was strange, considering she was usually rather emotionless.

Without turning around, Ms. Dopple addressed Zelos. "You know, I spent some time in your dimension, and I have only one thing to say to you: Half-elves. That is all."
After that, she started walking away, or so it looked. "But, it looks like no one's going to listen to me anyways, so..."
She stopped right behind Ellie, and suddenly hoisted her and the rapidly chattering bird up by the neck.
"Hey! Leggo!" Ellie choked out.
"You'll leave me alone for now, and I won't kill this girl." And just to emphasize this point, Ms. Dopple formed one of the fingers on her free hand into one razor sharp red claw, and pressed it against Ellie's throat.
"...Why did I have to become part of a hostage mission? D:"

Night growled he was powerless here, though he did cast a glare with a clear murderous glint in it towards Zelos. though right now, Zelos wasn't his problem, he was trying to figure out whether his extreme speed could get him from his position over to Ms. Dopple before she could kill the girl in her arms. from a roof top, the five tailed kitsune narrowed his eye's calculating a solution.

"You do realize I'm just going to tear you apart eventually, right?" The Mayor asked Ms. Dopple. "And don't give me any shit about being a member of an evil species-- I know two dopplegangers who are... well, okay, you may have a point.
"BUT YOU WILL FEEL THE WRATH OF THE ELECTED OFFICIAL OF VOID CITY! I AM THE MAYOR! THE BABYLONIANS SCREAMED MY NAMES IN FEAR TO THE NIGHT! THE ATLANTIANS HID BENEATH THE WAVES TO ESCAPE MY FURY! YOU SHALL SUFFER!"

Ms. Dopple raised an eyebrow. "'Usually?'" As she said this, she took a step backwards. "And Mr. Mayor, sir, I don't care at this point. I have business I need to be getting on with, and this is just a small inconvienence."
"SHOOT HER! SOMEONE HAS TO HAVE A GUN HERE!" Ellie yelled. "WE ARE NOT IN A 64-BIT GAME, YOU CAN AIM PAST PEOPLE!"
"Shut it, you!" Ms. Dopple said, pressing her claw further against Ellie's throat.

As Ms. Dopple did this, night raised his paw, a solitary razora stone from a stone edge flew at the doppelganger from behind her.
