(OOC: Open to everyone, but if you don't post once every 24 hours, we will go on without you. That qualifies for me too; I can't always get on and post.)
Laura Arborol, Pokemon Strategist, paced up and down the path in Portal Park. Her companion and first pokemon, Rapier, was sitting on a bench, watching his master grumble to herself.
"The info we recieved was supposed to be accurate! Red of Palette Town was spotted here just a few days ago, and apparently he frequents this spot! And we will fight him, and we will win!" Laura grumbled. "We refuse to believe that we will miss this kind of chance to fight the greatest Trainer known to man!"
In truth, Laura had arrived on the island only recently. But upon hearing that there were Pokemon Trainers here, she was okay with it. As long as she got to fight the two people she absolutely wanted to beat the snot out of: Red of Palette Town and Silver Giovanni. At least one of those two were on the island.
She sat down on the bench next to Rapier and crossed her arms.
"We're hungry, Rapier. Could you go get us some hot dogs?" Laura asked. Rapier jumped off and skittered off to find a hot dog stand somewhere in the park.

(OOC: That one thread Prue was in seemed to stall out. XD So... RETCON TIEMS)
Rapier would find a hot dog stand quick enough. A woman in her early twenties was at the stand. Well, okay, that was her chronological age. She seemed more like a teenager. She was counting out the PokeDollars carefully, and handed them to the man. A female Pachirisu was perched on her shoulder, its tail wrapped around her neck like some kind of odd scarf. The Pachi had her fore paws on Prue's head and seemed to be trying to figure out how to get to the hot dog the woman had without getting caught.
"Thanks!" said the trainer, although despite sounding cheerful she looked a bit depressed. She'd gotten sidetracked in her infamous 'ooh, shiny!" fashion on the way to the Courthouse. But she had to do that soon, she was really low on money and didn't know of any other trainers here.
She was in the process of turning around when the Pachirisu managed to slip. Somehow she slipped forward and rolled in an adorable fashion right over the trainer's head. In a bit of a fanatic scramble the woman tried to catch the Pokemon. She was somewhat successful, although the Pachirisu faceplanted onto the hotdog and now had a face full of mustard with spots of relish for good measure.
"Sora!" it wasn't too upset. More like surpise and exasperation.
The Pachirisu adjusted itself so that it was held on the trainer's free arm and looked up at her. The way she lifted her paws to her face resembled a cat.She got some mustard and proceeded to stickher paw in her mouth in a rather Teddiursa like fashion.
"Pachi!"
It was words, but even Rapier wouldn't hear a translation. It was speaking as much as a baby going "goo" was, although the Pachirisu was obviously not newly born.

Rapier walked up to the hotdog stand, carrying Laura's wallet and a note in his left bouquet. The note read "2 hawtdogs plz no musterd no relish just ketcup". No one ever said Pokemon could spell well. He placed the note on the hotdog stand and pushed it toward the woman behind the stand.
While waiting for his two hotdogs, he watched Prue and Sora. A Pachirisu and her trainer... so there were definitely other Trainers here. La Reine would be pleased to hear that.
------------
Red of Palette Town and his partner Pikachu walked back into Portal Park. They'd finally found somewhere to heal his Pokemon at, and now that they were all healed up, he was finally okay to battle.
He really had to wonder about that odd Lugia he saw the other day. He'd gotten the hell out of dodge before anything weirder could happen. A half-Lugia who could turn into a human, a full Lugia, and a half-Lugia who supposedly saved the world? It was just a bizarre concept to him.
He started heading past the hot dog stand, when suddenly Rapier, who had just gotten his hot dogs, dropped them from shock.
The man La Reine's looking for! Rapier thought to himself. He looked down at the hotdogs. ...our lunch DDDDDDD:
Red blinked, and then looked to Pikachu, who jumped down from his shoulder to talk to the Roserade.
"<Are you okay?>" Pikachu asked in Pokemon language.
"<My queen is looking for your trainer! ...And I dropped our lunch, oh she's gonna be mad...>" Rapier said sadly.
Red turned to Prue. She looked like a trainer, but not the one this Roserade belonged to. He was getting a different vibe from Prue than he was from the Roserade. No, this Roserade was definitely trainer owned, but not this girl's.

The woman trainer was about to start giggling at Sora when she heard what sounded like a Pokemon's cries. She whirled around so suddenly that the Pachirisu in her arms got another faceful of mustard. At this point there was more condiments on the Pachi's face than there were on the hot dog.
Her eyes widened as she saw an older teenager, a Pikachu, and a Roserade. An excited sound came from her and she rushed over. Sora had to hold on for dear life, yet still managed to find room to stick her paw in her mouth again.
"YouhavePokemonomigoshIthoughtIwastheonlyoneherewithPokemonisthereaPokemoncenterwhoareyouhiI'mPrue!" Her voice appeared to trail off at the end and she had to suck in air after she was done.
She lot out the breath loudly and looked at Red. Sora was looking at the hot dog carefully but decided to focus on the Roserade and Pikachu.
"Pachi!" Sora said. She looked like she wanted to wave but one hand was in her mouth and one was clasped onto Prue's arm.
Again with the nonsensical cute noises.

Red blinked. Woah, this girl was a little hyperactive... The Pachirisu suited her. He continued to blink as he started thinking of which question she'd asked in her amazingly fast speech to answer first.
"M-My name's Red," Red stammered out. She had really caught him off guard there.
Pikachu gave a sigh. <"You're lucky I'm so nice."> He walked over to Red and bumped up against him. Red looked down, and Pikachu pointed toward Roserade with his tail, and then at the fallen hot dogs. Red smiled, pulled out his own wallet, and gave the woman behind the stand a few Pokedollars to pay for the hotdogs. Once the replacement hot dogs were made and handed to Red, Red handed them to Rapier.
<"Thank you very much!"> Rapier said to Red, though it came out more like "Roserade, roser!" Rapier then ran off, carrying both of the hot dogs and Laura's wallet.

"What?" Prue paused and replayed the incredibly quiet voice in her head, "Oh, right! Hey, you don't have to be so quiet. Only one of my Pokemon that might eat you is Akuma, and he's not coming out any time soon. Heh... um, hey, should we follow... uh.. it?"
She'd never been any good at telling Pokemon genders. She knew some of the more famous ones. The Pikachu was a male, and she could spot a female from a male Pachirisu from a mile away. But a lot of them she didn't have memorized. Pikachu were an almost stupidly popular Pokemon, although she wasn't a big fan. Raichu, sure, but not so much Pikachu. She looked antsy as she waited for a response. The Roserade seemed trainer owned, which meant there was another trainer here.
Sora was content with wiping off her face and eating more mustard.

Red looked a little disheartened as Prue told him he didn't have to speak so quietly. He couldn't talk any other way, and it hurt to talk that small bit. Damn Missingno.
He smiled a bit as she asked if they should follow the Roserade. "Male. And I think so."
Pikachu bounded forward and started leading Red after where Rapier had gone.
---------------
Laura munched on her hot dog. "So you're telling us he's here?"
Rapier, who was frantically motioning toward the hot dog stand, nodded. Laura stood up as someone wearing a red hat with a Pikachu walked into view.
"Are you Red of Palette Town?" Laura demanded. Red looked a little surprised, but nodded. Laura pointed at Red. "Our eyes met! We shall battle you!"
Red blinked. "Now?"
Laura stomped a foot. "Yes, now!"

Prue looked at Red's expression. Had she said something wrong? She opened her mouth to say something but Red was already responding. She nodded and headed after the group. Sora was back to holding on for dear life.
---------
Prue blinked as Laura practically flew to her feet. She blinked as the other female trainer demanded a fight, but her eyes widened as Red nodded. She knew of a Red, of course. But he was an adult! Around twenty or so, and this soft spoken teenager was not the Red she knew about. Oh right. Palkia. Alternate dimensions. She headed over to the bench and sat down. There wasn't really anything to do at this point but watch the fight.
Sora began pawing at her knapsack.

Red sighed and pulled out a Pokeball before returning Pikachu to it. He returned the Pokeball to his belt and pulled off another one. Laura returned Rapier to his own Pokeball, finished eating her hot dog, wiped the ketchup off of her mouth, and then pulled a pokeball from out of her coat.
"Three on three," Laura stated. "No sense in exhausting all of our Pokemon when we only need three to win." Red got the feeling that the "we" referred to Laura herself, not to the two of them.
The two trainers stepped back from each other far enough that they could have a proper battle, and then threw their Pokeballs to the ground.
"Go, Sonar!"
"Go, Venusaur!"
A Lucario appeared from Laura's Pokeball, and a Venusaur from Red's. Red had to wonder why Lucarios were everywhere on this Island at the Lucario's appearance.
"This battle will be a snap," Laura said to herself. Sonar had a double type advantage. The grass-type attacks of Venusaur wouldn't do that much damage, while the poison type attacks would do nothing.
Red thought that Laura was jumping ahead a bit, to be honest. Any pokemon could win in the hands of the right trainer.

Sora scrambled onto the back of the bench and used it to get onto Prue's shoulder. Prue kept her eyes on the Pokemon as she dug through her bag and pulled out a Poffin case. Actually, she'd forgotten about it earlier. She was always doing stuff like that. Sora had long maxed out her sheen, but it was still a good food. She handed a sakura pink Poffing to Sora.
"Pachi!" Sora squeed, taking the Poffin and beginning to munch on it.
Prue ate her hot dog as she watched. At this point she was rooting for the Lucario. Not cause of silly things like type advantages. She just thought Lucarios were cooler. The only one of the Bulbasaur line she liked was Ivysaur. Of the Pokemon she'd often heard referred to as "Kanto Starters", Squirtle was her favorite. After all, Squirtle had been her first Pokemon.

"Sonar, Extremespeed!" Laura yelled. The Lucario suddenly jumped into the air at a blinding speed, and tackled itself into the much slower Venusaur before it could dodge. "Do it again!"
Sonar repeated the attack on Venusaur a couple times, but Red's smile didn't drop. Just as Laura ordered him to repeat the Extremespeed, Red gave a hand motion to Venusaur, and when the Extremespeed impacted, Venusaur suddenly scattered a bunch of pollen from its flower. Sonar staggered back, and covered its nose, but it was too late, and the Lucario collapsed to the ground, asleep.
"For the past few attacks, Venusaur has been gathering Sleep Powder inside of his flower. You didn't notice because you and your Lucario were too focused on speed," Red explained. Laura's hands curled into fists.
"Sonar, come on! Wake up!" Laura yelled. Sonar continued to sleep.
"Finish it!" Red yelled. "Frenzy Plant!"
Venusaur stomped his foot, and suddenly some very large thorned vines began growing out of the ground around Sonar. They squeezed tighter and began cutting into the Lucario's steel fur, until finally it let out a scream and fell limp. The giant vines returned to the ground, and Sonar slammed to the ground, unconcious.
"Sonar is unable to battle. I'd say the victory goes to me, yes?" Red said.
...Damn you, Laura thought to herself.

Prue tilted her head sideways, causing her oddly colored bangs to obstruct her view a bit. She looked annoyed and held them up a bit. Even she knew using that move over and over was a bad idea. She didn't know if Venusaur could learn Counter, she never really bothered with things like that unless it directly related to her Pokemon, but repeating the same attack like that seemed a bad idea. And she didn't consider herself that good a fighter, having all the badges from only two of the regions with leagues.
Then Sonar got put to sleep. Her eyes widened as Red's Venusaur used Frenzy Plant. Was it really necessary to use a move that strong? Still, despite liking Lucario more she was happy Red was winning. Laura was a little put offish. She couldn't not giggle as she thought about how her Hoenn breeder friend Aby would have dealt with Laura. She wouldn't have used Pokemon. Actually, Aby's main Pokemon was a Venusaur. Odd coincidence, that.

Laura and Red both returned their Pokemon to their Pokeballs, and pulled out another one.
"Go, Bluebolt!"
"Go Charizard!"
A Luxray emerged from Laura's Pokeball, while a Charizard emerged from Red's. Laura was more on guard this time. Red was really worthy of his title of Champion. ...Well, former title. Lance had stolen the title, and some kid named Gold had stolen it soon after.
In any case, she needed to be on guard. She was sure that next Red would use a Blastoise. So next would come Rapier.
"Bluebolt, Shock Wave!" Laura yelled. The Luxray formed an orb of electricity in its mouth that it then threw at Charizard.
"Don't fly!" Red yelled. The Charizard braced itself as the Shock Wave hit it. It was a super effective attack, but it hadn't done as much damage as it could have if Charizard had been in the air.

(Sweet, a pokemon thread. Hope you don't mind me joining)
Aokakesu was wandering around the park exploring this new terrain. He sensed presences nearby as his curiosity kicked in to find these new mysterious presenses. The teen made his way toward a park bench that was taken up by a girl with a Pachirisu that seemed to be tamed by this girl. Aokakesu begun to slow down by the bench as he put and hand on the end of the bench, but this wasn't just because he was in a good distance rather because he wasn't quite used to running or walking on two legs rather than floating. He saw a Charizard and a Luxray in the middle of a battle, and they were bth accompanied by what seems to be their tamers. (Hope you don't mind a new audience)

((OOC: Okay, I'd say three people's good. No more people now, please. Posting order is me, Mugen, and then Tsifan.))
Laura had her Pokedex out. If anyone was looking, she was keeping an eye on the Charizard's percieved endurance limit, according to the Pokedex anyway. Bluebolt began running toward Charizard.
"Dragon Pulse, Charizard," Red said hoarsely. Shoot. He was going to have to resort to his Pokedex's Audio Command system at this rate. It was a good thing he'd had that installed. He could give orders to his Pokemon without having to speak himself.
The Charizard's mouth glowed with purple energy before it unleashed it, letting out a pulse that hit the whole battlefield. There was no way for Bluebolt to dodge it, and Laura and her Pokemon both braced themselves as the attack came.
"Thunder Fang, now!" Laura ordered. Bluebolt's mouth glowed with electricity before she sunk her fangs into Charizard's neck. The dragon-like Pokemon roared with pain.
