A good book or two?

Tom was floating through the shelves looking for a book he hadn't read yet.He had been looking for someone to talk to, but was still a little unsure on how to do it. he found one, It was The magician The secrets if the Immortal Nicholas Flamel. He had picked up the book and had been reading it for awhile. he was half way into a bookcase as he read, his bottom half inside the bookcase. So far he really liked the character Scathack, she was pretty cool for a vampire.

Once again, Ion had managed to get away from Ellie, which was most likely driving the girl nuts. It wasn't that he was trying to avoid her on purpose, it was just that he got lost. Very, very easily.

Though, at least now he was in a library. There had to be something nice to do here, right?

Right?

Chris began to float around as he read, he was already about half way through the book. He floated through another bookshelf and dropped the book on accident since it couldn't go through the book shelf. When he went to try and pick it up again, he had the same probablem and dropped again. "Dang it. You'd think I'd be use to this whole dead thing by now." He said as he successfully pick up the book this time.

"Huh?" Ion turned around as he heard someone talking. About being dead. "Um... is someone there?" He clutched his staff close to him as he said this. Maybe coming here hadn't been a good idea after all.

Tom stopped moving and looked around the book case towards the person speaking. He saw it was someone with a weird looking walking stick.... or a staff.... What was he supposed to say, he thought back to other times he talked to people, and couldn't think of any. So, he waved, "Um, Hi."

Ion waved nervously. "Oh, hello! Um... are you a ghost?" He figured he might as well clear that up now.

"Um... Yea, are you?" Tom asked, you never know. The guy could be dead, he hadn't met anyother dead people yet, other than that weird cat.

Ion scratched his head. "Well, back in my home universe I am, but I'm apparently alive here."

Tom floated out from behind the book case. "Wait, so your dead in one place, but here your alive? How does that work?" Tom thought about, he thought of a few ways, but then why was he still dead then?

Ion shrugged. "Perhaps the fonons of my dying body, instead of being absorbed into the fon belt, were instead dumped out here, where they reformed into my own body."

Tom had a blank look on his face as ion finished talking. "Uh.... Yeah, what?" Tom knew he had heard him speaking, but wasn't sure if it was all english.

"Fonons compose all matter where I come from," Ion explained. "Because I'm a replica, my body is held together by seventh fonons, which cycle through the fon belt back home. For some reason, when I died, my body didn't return to the fon belt."

"Oh... Well I guess that explains it... I think." Tom shrugged, he figure it out sooner or later. "So..... um, yea. I'm not as nearly intersting, Im' just dead." Tom leaned onhis elbow as he floated. sitting in the air.

"Well, that's not true! You can go through walls and stuff! And it looks like you can still pick up things!" Ion said. "That's kinda cool in a way!"

"Yea thats nice, I don't have a problem with locked doors anymore. And I can only pick up books, nothing else." Tom shrugged. "Your not even human, that so beats a ghost."
