The woods neighboring Void City on the wide expanse known only as Dimensional Island was never a warm nor inviting place. Trying to convince yourself otherwise would've been a foolish. The woods were creepy and to be perfectly honest, there are STILL people who believe the woods are haunted...
But the figure we turn our attention to didn't know this. She didn't know that... Hell, some who met her would swear she didn't know ANYTHING.
"GET BACK HERE YOU MEAT THIEF!!!"
Little Taokaka continued yelling this as she ran on all fours after a raven that appeared to have a medium sized piece of ham in it's beak. As she ran, she let out a random menagerie of hisses, spits and meows as she ran after the bird as fast as she could. After a few minutes, she saw the bird had landed on a rock. Now, if Taokaka were any normal cat, she would've stopped running and tried to sneak up on it. Maybe try to stalk the birdy until it was in-
"REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOWWWWW!!!"
Or jumping at the bird with aboslutely no thought towards subtlety works... Or not considering the bird took off with the ham, leaving Tao to bonk her cute little cat head against rock with a loud THUNK!!!!
By the time Tao got back up, yeowching from the hit, the bird was already gone, and the rock was a pile of rubble. "Me-oooooooow... That was mean mew!"
After a moment, Tao jumped to her feet and shook off her pain. She looked around a moment trying to get a sense of where she was...
And given she was so busy chasing that bird, that pretty much meant looking around a moment, and pretty much shiver upon realizing she had NO freaking clue where she was.
"Oh no... Wh-where is the Big Town Meow? Where's Tao's village?" This place didn't look familiar at all!! "Where am I meow?"
She sat back down to try and think about it a moment... Which basically amounted to sitting there in silence while and listen to her thoughts trying to make Non-understandible loops inside her otherwise empty little head. After a long hard moment, Tao let out a breath.
"Well meow..." She jumped to her feet after a moment, a big wide smile on her face. "If Tao doesn't know where Tao is, there's only one thing to do! Explore meow!"
Any sort of pretense that this place creeped her out was lost as the Kaka guardian walked off.

Taokaka most likely had not seen the house not very far from her. But the owner of said house had certainly heard her. Yawning slightly, Yuka Kazami walked out of her house, saying "What in Hell is going on out here? Can't a lady get a nap in?"

Tao easily moved about the trees looking around with a wide cute little smile on her face. "Woooow!!! This place is awesome meow!!"
What she had her attention caught on was this HUUGE tree not too far away from where she had lost that darn meat thief. The tree was so big and huge that it drew in Tao's natural childish curiosity. "Reeow!! That is so awesome!! Tao never saw that in Tao's village, meow!!"
She quickly ran up to the tree and jumped up and down in front of it. "Heheheheh! So cool so cool so-"
A sudden rumbling caught Tao's attention...
Oh boy, she was hungry...
"Ooooh... Now Tao is hungry meow!" She pouted. "Now I really wish I caught that meanie meat thief meow!"

Yuka's interest was piqued by the girl that reminded her quite a bit of a cat. "Well, now... what have we here?" She followed after Taokaka, parasol in hand. She was curious; she hadn't had much company since Trevor and Mokou was currently resting in her house.

There were no two ways about it: he was lost. Oh, horse apples, he was so lost! And Everfree Forest was possibly the last place any foal wanted to get lost in. From the forest's unheard of natural processes to to bizarre and dangerous animals, it was generally a no-no zone.
But the young pegasus colt lost his throwing disc somewhere in the edge of the forest and figured he wouldn't get too deep in. Oh, how wrong he was! Somehow, he lost sight of the edge and found himself wandering further into the trees. By now, he couldn't recognize his surroundings at all and glanced around anxiously as he hovered through the clusters of trees.

By that point, Tao was trying desperately to catch a whiff of some sort of food that might sate her hunger, but all she could smell was this... Woodsy smell. Leaves, trees, tree bark, nothing that smelled good enough to-
Suddenly, Tao lifted her head when she smelled something that smelled... Nice. "Mmmm. What's that meow?"
She prowled around a second before she found what appeared to be a harmless little rose... "Awww... Just a pretty grass meow..." Tao said despondently...
Suddenly, a thought struck her... What DOES a rose taste like?
By the time Yuka caught up with Tao, she was seen spitting out what was ONCE a perfectly good rose, not in the least satisfied with the taste. "Awww dammit... Tao's hungry, meow... Tao need food..." She hit the ground belly up. "Tao feel like I'm wasting away, meow..." For those with normal intelligence, she looked like she was in ideal health if not just a bit hungry. Buuuuut...
That's just how Tao worked. Food practically governed 80% of her mental facilities.

Yuka quirked her head at the strange girl. "...Now why on earth would you eat a rose? Those taste awful... they're only good if you make rose water with the petals..."
She thought for a minute, then said, "...Just who might you be, anyway, dearie?"

What was he going to do? He had no idea where he was going, and he certainly wasn't getting anywhere near the edge of the forest anymore. If only he could find that Zecora zebra he often heard ponies talk about. If anyone could help him...

Tao looked up to find Yuka looking down on her with a curious and likely bemused expression on her face. "Huh?"
She briefly looked at the lady taking in her features, from her green hair, to her white parasol, to the red clothes, and the yellow ribbon.
........... Wow this was one weird looking lady... And Tao smiled a bit seeing her. She liked weird, weird was so interesting and funny looking!
"Oh Hi there Green Hair lady! Who are you, meow?"
She breifly noted the woman's chest; not all that big but who knows? They could probably be well hidden in that shirt. Getting up she looked to the woman with her head tilted curiously, pouting. "Muuuuuuuh..... Tao is soooooooo hungry meow...."
[Before you ask, Tao likes fondling women's breasts out of curiosity. It's a prevalent and hillarious part of her character. XDDD]

Yuka said, "...My sundress tends to hide them, but I would very much appreciate it if you do not touch them." She thought to herself, 'Interesting girl... and I've been called far worse nicknames. Green Hair Lady is quite tame.'

Those were definitely voices he was hearing. Somepony was near! The young pegasus hovered over and peered inconspicuously around a tree into the nearest clearing, but... those were most certainly not ponies.
What were they? They both appeared to be two-legged. One was completely covered in light clothing and had what appeared to be cat ears and large paws, and she seemed rather... intimate. The other had a green mane and red dress, and she appeared to be carrying a bag and a fancy umbrella. The colt decided to watch, not sure whether not not he wanted to be seen yet.

After Tao was back on her feet, she took in the name that she was given....
And to be honest... She couldn't understand it.
"You-ka.... You-kan... Ukan....Ukan... Kazy... Kazie... Shashimi..." If this were a cartoon you'd see steam shooting out of her ears. "Argh! That name is too long meow!"
After a second of this, she grinned to Yuka. "Green Hair Lady sounds MUCH better, don't you think meow?"

Had Yuka been a more violent Youkai, she might've gotten a little irritated with the cat girl. As it was, though, she merely chuckled in amusement. "That's quite alright. I've been called far worse in my time. What's your name?"
She had also noticed the little colt nearby; he had gotten close to a plant she called a Sensorflower. It detected living things that moved by and were connected to her directly. She figured she'd talk to him in a little bit.

That... cat person seemed very odd in her behavior, but didn't seem dangerous in any way. And the other one, the one the cat thing called 'Green Hair Lady', seemed to have a more calm, friendly demeanor.
The colt felt a shiver run down his back. He had the strangest feeling as if he were being watched, even though neither of the two creatures ahead appeared to have looked at him...

Tao smiled cutely, [It literally looked like this given how her face is normally hidden from view save those silhouettes; <X3] and nodded her head giggling somewhat. The fact that she was hungry seemed to be forgotten. "Tao is Taokaka, mew! Tao comes from Tao's village.... Um..."
She took another look around a second as if to remember something... "Uhhhhh, Oh! Over there meow."
She pointed in a random direction....
And if Yuka had been aware of the surroundings she would know said direction would have lead straight into more woods before going over the edge of the island.
Needless to say, it was a pretty safe guess Tao was lost.
