Mokou said, "Easy there, catgirl; it's... almost... done!" She took the skewers off the grill and set them on a plate. She handed two to Taokaka and said, "Careful, they're really hot still."
Yuka walked over to a bowl and snagged a few small apples. She set them by Scoops and said, "Here you go; you can eat these until I finish..." She went and took some lettuce and spinach and started to make a salad for the little pony. Yuka took a skewer as well, eating it carefully.
Mokou said, "So, who are you two? New friends of Kazami's?"

Scoops sniffed the apples tentatively. They did look and smell good, and it wasn't like he had anyone else to turn to for food at the moment... So, he leaned down to take a bite of one and chew.
"We kinda stumbled upon her, really..." he admitted. "Well, I did... She and... um, that other person were already talking when I found myself here..."

When Tao was handed the food, she smiled widely; she probably would've looked almost ravenous, if not for that wide cute smile. "Yaaaaay! Meat-meat-meat-meat!"
Barely even taking in Mokou's warning, she proceeded to down the chicken, taking in bites that, quite frankly, would choke a normal man. Despite this, she easily took chomps, chewing the food down with little effort and then gulping down the meat with little effort. Her face went red, both in pleasure and because of the extra hot food heating up her insides in a milisecond.
"Mmmmmmmmmeoooooow!!!!! This is SOOOOOO good meow!!" She giggled beside herself as she looked to Mokou. "You're a Great cook Red Lady!! Tao feels so tingly meow!"

Mokou thought to herself, 'Red Lady? Meh, Moonbitch has called me worse.'
She said, "Glad you like. You don't live a good couple centuries without picking up a few tricks here and there."
Yuka said, "Indeed. One has to find some way to pass the time." She finished putting the spinach and lettuce in the bowl and set it by Scoops. "Here you go, dearie." She then went and poured herself a cup of tea. Strong herbal, as always.

The ravaging meat eater nearby was a little unsettling for Scoops, so he turned his attention instead to Kazmai and her friend.
The young colt smiled gratefully as the salad was handed to him. "Thanks." He began plucking salad leaves from the bowl with his teeth and chewing them. "A couple centuries, huh? I've never heard of anyone living that long... Except for the princesses..." he remarked between gulps. "So... Who are you guys, anyway? I don't just mean your names; as a whole..."

Tao looked up as she started eating half of the second thing of chicken, her eyes lifted in curiosity. "Mmmm! Eah'!" She said, mouth full and everything. "Ell' u' eow! Ao' a''a ow, eow!"
[Translation: 'Yeah! Tell us meow! Tao wanna know, meow!]

Mokou said, "Go ahead, Sundress; you first."
Yuka replied, "Very well." She turned towards the other two and said, "My name is Yuka Kazami, as you already know. I am a Youkai; a type of demon from a different world's mythology. My talents lie in the manipulation of plants of all kinds. In the world that Mokou and I are from, I am feared by many... who believe that I'm some kind of sadist." She huffed. "Some nerve they have, making assumptions like that."
Mokou then chimed in, "I'm Fujiwara no Mokou... though most places would call me Mokou of Fujiwara. Anyway, that's the clan I'm from... that died out roughly... oh, jeez... 150 years ago or so. Unlike Yuka here, I'm not a Youkai. I'm a human. The reason I've lived as long as I have is thanks to an Elixir. The Hourai Elixir, to be precise. ...One drink, and illness cannot afflict you... another drink and you never grow old... the third drink seals your fate, making you incapable of dying in any way."
She flared her ephemeral phoenix wings. "'Course, I have another layer of immortality besides that. A phoenix gave me his power... wanted out of the reincarnation cycle. A girl named Kaguya Houraisan had shamed my family... I wanted revenge. She's immortal like me... so I figured it'd give me an edge."
Yuka said, "We're both from a world of fantasy called Gensokyo... though I've been to many other worlds besides; that includes your world, little one. A little... 'cutesy' for my tastes, but I can't deny the effectiveness of the plants that grow there..."

Tao seemed to be staring blankly at the two, a bead of spittle trailing down her mouth...

"Soooooooooooooooooooooo...." She tried her best to take in what she heard.... Or at least what she remembered she heard....
Which wasn't saying a lot.
"Green Hair Lady and Red Lady come from this MAAAGICAL world of Genny, Red Lady is a bird and Green Hair lady is called Saddie meow?"
..................... Everyone looked at the cat girl with raised eyebrows.
"Well... That doesn't tell Tao a lot about you does it, Red Birdy and Green Hair Lady." She frowned looking confused. "But that's okaaaay, meow! You don't have to tell Tao right now meow! Tao understands Dark Shady Pasts meow! It's a popular theme in MOVIES meow!"
.................. This spark of intelligence was dashed almost immediately when she took notice of the remaining chicken on her plate......... "FOOD." She proceeded to scarf down what was left of her food after that.

Mokou internally facepalmed. '*sigh* ...this chick makes the fairy baka look smart, I swear...'
Yuka sweatdropped. She then turned towards Scoops. "No, little one, I'm not. Even when someone... were to wreck my sunflowers..." She gripped her parasol slightly tighter and one could tell her anger at that thought, in spite of her smile. "Those people... well, they learn their lesson quite quickly."

Scoops looked awkwardly from Yuka to around the room to his half-eaten salad. "Oh, um...... O... K then..." He took a small bite of vegetables and chewed them slowly, wondering what crazy, twisted world he wandered into.

Looking up from her food, Tao took notice of the exchange beween Scoops and Yuka and heard what she had to say... Well, it's a good thing Tao's learned recently that flowers don't taste good, so she had no reason to fear retribution from Red Lady. With that in mind, she continued eating until all of the food on her plate was gone.
With that done, she licked a few remaining portions of sauce from her jacket sleeve, which served as the paw of the jacket. "Mmmmm! That was soooo good Red Birdie!"
She looked to the girl with a wide innocent smile.
"Can Tao have more food, meow?"

Yuka calmed down, and sat beside Scoops. She absentmindedly scratched behind his ears and asked, "Tell me, dearie... how old are you, exactly?"

Tao gave Mokou the biggest most satisfied smiles she could ever give anyone human being before she raised her arms in the air in celebration. "Yaaay!!! Thanks Red Lady!!" She said little else before she flat out SPRINTED into the kitchen.
Had Mokou known what she had just done, she would have quickly followed after her, VERY quickly.
As it stood though, she likely heard Tao look through the kitchen before finding where the other pieces of chicken were before downing the rest of them. Apparently Tao wasn't satisfied though, as she immediately heard the Kaka girl opening the fridge...
God have mercy on that poor fridge...
