Whoa... Was this... Really what lay beneath the island?
That was likely what Aqua thought as she looked down at the world below her. She standing atop a cliff overlooking the humongous jungle. As she looked down, she took in the splendor before her with widened eyes. "M-my goodness... Look at all of it..." She bent down to get a better look. "... Everyone on the surface has been living above an entirely different world... And to think we never once knew it..."
As she looked, she smiled a bit, as she took notice of various brachiosaurus, poking their heads out from the tops of the trees, all of them eating from the leaves. As she watched the animals she couldn't help but look wide-eyed in awe, a smile on her face. When she was younger, she remembered hearing tales of animals such as these from the many books that littered the library back in the World of Departure. She had always been fascinated with life back in the eras of prehistory... But witnessing them first-hand?
"Such an experience......" She lowered her head. "I only wish Ven and Terra could be here to see this..." Sighing even more, she stood up and dusted herself off. "Well... I had better return to the surface-"
That was when she heard it. A sound that chilled her to the core.
A sound so surprising, she lost her balance and fell from the cliffside. "?!?!?!? AGH!!" Quickly regaining her balance and righting herself in midair, and quickly casting a powerful magical barrier as she descended. Through the branches of the trees she fell, before the barrier softened her landing onto the ground below.
.................. As she regained her senses, she quickly took a look around... Suddenly her childhood dreams had turned into nightmares, as she quickly looked around, trying to find any predators nearby.
"Oooooh..." As she did, she quickly ran up to a tree and jumped up into the lower branches and up into the higher ones... As she did, her mind raced. "What... What was that sound?"
As she thought about this, she quickly moved through the trees, hoping to find the source of the sound...
As she did, she took notice that things seemed to be getting... Colder...

Shortly before Aqua's arrival, a small group of small white primates looked up from a small nest in the trees, starting to click and chatter as a very large, and much hairier version of them showed up swinging from limb to limb, holding a large chunk of scaled meat in hs feet. He quickly dropped it off and checked on the little things, smiling when they were all accounted for.
Leaping off in an attempt to find more dinosaurs to prove who's boss to, he stopped at a particular tree- it seemed dead, but the truth was that its leaves had fallen off- it was also coated in snow, the only one as frozen for miles around. Looking around, he propped himself up on one of the branches and released a blood curtling howl-
"HYUUUWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUAAUAUAUAAAAAAAH!!!"
Just before jumping off to get his- and his people's- kids more food to eat, he stopped- he heard an unusual sound, like a crash, but different. Rather than investigate, he took back off into the wilderness, not caring that more snow had coated the tree after his roar, or that the temperature had dropped.

As Aqua drew closer to where she heard the noise she was surprised by how cold it had suddenly become. It was like a blizzard had suddenly appeared in this area... Heck, considering how warm things had been earlier, she was surprised to find SNOW in the treetops she was jumping through. She shivered at the snow and grunted as she climbed out of the top and took a careful look around area above the canopy...
She found herself quite interested when she found that only CERTAIN trees were covered with snow... And said trees lined down each other... Almost like... Something extraordinarily cold came by this way in a set path...
No that was silly. Nothing could be THAT cold.
Sighing, she climbed up to to the top of the tree, deciding it would be easier jumping from treetop to treetop. They were mostly frozen over anyways.
She made good time before she found what appeared to be a huge cliffside. Looked difficult to climb she had to say... But she was SURE that whatever that sound was, it came from up above somewhere. Taking a moment, she looked the wall up and down.
A moment later she comes up with an idea. "Okay."
She took a jump towards the cliff before she used a wind spell to rocket her up the cliffside.
Once she reached the top, she carefully, almost daintily lands on the cliffside.... "Hmmm? What's this?" She carefully approached her findings.

Bickering near the caves were what seemed to be small white primates- different ones from the ones in the tree nest waiting for food- and each one seemed to like bouncing around. Before long, one spat up a collection of snowflakes- a natural ability.
When Aqua approached, they stopped scampering, some running into the caves. One of them accidentally backed its way into a corner outside, watching Aqua approaching it... and made a similar, but weaker scream to the one their leader made earlier, even resulting in the same sudden drop in temperature, but this was only about 5 degrees.

Aqua looked on at the creatures as scampered off into their cave. She took notice of the little one that accidentally cornered itself, looking afraid of her. When it let out the small roar, she shivered a little at the dropped temperature...
Was this little thing afraid of her?
She stopped her approach quickly, stopping at roughly 3 feet away from the cornered little creature and looked at it carefully. Harmless though it appeared to be, it let out a roar that sounded... Similar to the sound she heard earlier. She knew she'd have to approach this carefully...
Maybe she could try to show kindness.
Slowly, gently, she bent down to her knees and tried for kind smile. "Hey... It's okay..." She motioned to the cave entrance. "Go on. Don't mind me any."

Slowly, it started looking at her- there wasn't any kind of blockade between her and the cave... Moving quickly, the little thing used its hands as well as its feet and ran in, still scared. When it seemed she wasn't trying to be mean, he came back out and sniffed at her, trying to catch her scent.
It didn't last long, though. Before long, the same roar previously issued when Aqua arrived had resounded along the cave again, and some trees started bending around madly before a Nine foot tall version of the small critters appeared, snarling at her. using his fists as small, temporary braces, he approached her, feet stomping quite a bit. Not about to wait for her story, he roared again, the kids scampering inside when they felt the cold blast, knowing the meaning.
He heard the call, and now he was in momma bear mode.

"EEEK!"
Aqua let out a scream as she was surprised and fell to the ground. When she looked up, she found the baby making a run for it back to the cave. She quickly jumped to her feet, and turned around.
She barely had enough time to cartwheel out of the way as the beast barreled after her. As she regained her balance, she instinctively pulled out her keyblade. Probably not the wisest of moves.
Because once the monster saw the weapon it likely FREAKED.
It was onlt at that second that Aqua realized her mistake. "W-wait! You don't understand!!" She saw that this creature looked like an adult of whatever species she had discovered. She quickly got rid of the keyblade. "Please let me-"
But the beast would have none of it as it charged her again. "Please no!" She quickly jumped aside before she could be thrashed.

Instinct is called that for a reason- it usually Stinks when brought up.
Once he saw her dangerous looking stick, he screamed, beating his chest. He wasn't gonna listen to her pleas- he couldn't understand her anyway. A few things he tried doing was swinging in for a punch, then giving his ice breath a try- but in the end, he did manage something- cracking a small section of the cliffside.
With no instinct toward danger, he stomped right toward her, willing to chase her into the Dinosaur lands if he had to.

Aqua looked panicked as the beast stared her down. This did not bode well... Not in the slightest. Aqua had a fair idea that trying to talk to this thing wasn't going to do anything. She came this far to investigate an odd sound, and she met a creature that, even if she wanted to hurt it, it woud be difficult to beat. This thing was powerful, even more so then the others of it's kind.
She knew more then anything this one fact.
She needed to get out of here.
The beast suddenly watched as Aqua suddenly jumped off the cliff and, using magic, started gliding through the air, going at a fast speed. When she looked behind her, she found the beast following behind her. She could feel the chill as the beast roared in her direction. "Come on... Please... I'm leaving you alone.!!"
She looked back in front of her.
And found a huge set of jaws trying to take a snap at her.
"?!?!? EEK!!!"
She quickly barrel-rolled to the side as the beast the teeth belonged to fell back down to the ground. When Aqua looked down, she found possibly the biggest dinosaur she had ever seen. T-Rex's paled in comparison to this beast, it's pale white skin, it's feral yellow eyes and it's aligator like jaws.
That's when she noticed the tail.
WHIP!!!!! "AGH!!!" The tail whipped her out of the sky. As she fell, the dino tried to take another bite at her, but she dodged aside with a wind spell to barely get out of the way. A barrier barely got up in time to shield her landing.
Laying on the ground, she watched as the beast stared down at her letting out a massive roar.

Just in time to get a disastrously powerful upercuut from the first beast. Even if the girl was a threat, nothing was more threatening than this guy- the one that always gets away in the end. Ignoring the one he thought was trying to hurt his kind, he growled at the huge cold blooded beast, then released a paindully powerful blizzard from his mouth, effectively un-nerving it.
Though still keeping an eye on Aqua, he growled, getting ready to beat down the beating master before him- just to get a claw swipe to the ribs as a result. placing a hand on his chest, slowly becoming coated in a red substance, he forced his eyes shut and looked away, expecting the beast to chew him down...

"Ugh-!! T-Take that!!!"
The beast saw the dinosaur getting zapped by a strike of LIGHTNING.
When the dino slowly turned it found Aqua healing herself and getting back to her feet. The dinosaur gave her a dangerous growl...
But Aqua could care LESS.
"I've taken on the Ice Titan AND the lord of the dead. Taking you down will be too easy."
She pulled out her keyblade, the keyblade of her trusted teacher Master Eraqus, and charged the dinosaur down. As she did, she was charging all kinds of magic, growling dangerously. "Come on!!" Her keyblade suddenly shined a great deal... Before she suddenly looked a great amount glitchy, as if she wasn't even there, her keyblade floating around her. It wasn't that impressive when compared to the dino but.. She suddenly vanished
SLICE!!!! "ROAAAAAAAAAAAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" The dino let out an impressive roar as she sliced up it's leg working her way up the body, slicing and blasting magic in a powerful tizzy, moving so goddamn fast, it was impossible to see her work. Ghost Drive was doing it's job well. When the dino felt it stop-
SLAAAAAAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aqua's Raging Storm Spell, a spell that surrounded her with powerful pillars of storming energy, slammed the dinosaur's side so hard, it was sent STUMBLING. A tossed keyblade and another slam of the spell, lead to TRIPPING THE GIANT BEAST CLEAN OFF OF IT'S FEET. Aqua regained her keyblade... BEFORE A FLASH OF ENERGY, HELPED IT BECOME A LASER BLADE EVEN BIGGER THEN SHE WAS TALL.
SLICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Dino roared on the ground as Aqua pierced the creatures Head, slicing through it's brain. The grisly sight was accompanied by the creature rearing up letting out pained roars, flailing about...
Before it fell back to the ground, landing with a huge thud that shook the whole valley...

Aqua could be seen nearby, having been thrown off of the beast upon landing the killing blow... She moaned in pain as she slowly, painfully got up, holding her head her body flaring up in agony... At least until she managed a healing spell.
Curaga healed her wounds, as she slowly got back up. Healing her wounds or not, she was still a bit hurt... She looked back to what she did, the giant dino dead as a doornail on the ground before her...
That was when she heard a few pained grunts from somewhere close by. Oh! "H-hello?" With a bit of a limp, she slowly walked over to the sound...

Though he was still hurt from the scar on his chest, he tried to get over it as best as possible, though not without cringing. After watching that massive thing go down to her in just a matter of moments, he tried getting up, then fell back down, whimpering.
When she apprached, he tried to shoo her away- a cold wind, a swing of the fist, anything- but she just kept coming! At that rate, he was sure he'd be dead, just like that huge reptile in front of him!

[Music for the moment]
Aqua watched as the beast tried to warn her away, trying to tell her to be on her way... But Aqua only kept on coming, looking to the beast sorrowfully.
After a second, she hit the ground, her leg having given out. "I'm... I'm so sorry..." She looked back up to him weakly. "I'm... I'm the reason this all happened... I... should have never came here..."
Slowly she lifted her arm. The beast winced and prepared for a finishing blow...
.......................
One that never came.
The beast felt a sudden rush of energy. One that seemed to heal up his soreness, and mend the cuts and bruises on his body. The healing spell also seemed to help him gain his second wind, as it suddenly not only felt good... It felt better then good.
"Go... Back to your people... I..." Aqua's vision swam, the combined effort of all of the magic she expended to take out the dinosaur, combined with her injuries taking it's toll. "I... I..."
Her face hit the dirt. Not dead. Merely knocked unconscious...
.....................
And in her dreams.... She dreamed only of days gone by... Days that was spent in joyful bliss with her friends...
Bliss... that she would never have again...

Warmth; a pleasurable, happy feeling; the blood on his chest no longer gushing onto his hand; he had been healed by her, he didn't know how, but- Wait, why was she falling over? Was she... couldn't be! In a panic, he stood himself up and then picked her up, lightly poking at her face in an attempt to wake her up. When that wouldn't work, tears began to work up in his eyes, before he gave out a blistering roar, possibly one of the last things Aqua heard, and felt.
The next few minutes went by fast- Having slung Aqua over his shoulder, he quickly made his way back to the cave, but not before picking up his charges in the nest in the trees. Once the whole of them had made it back, he gently set her down and felt her head- piping hot, possibly from exhaustion. Guilt was all over his face- He couldn't help but feel guilty after what he'd done...
Then he got a nudge from a young female. "Don't worry, godfather," she cooed in her language. "We can help her! Why don't we try?"
"But..." he mumbled back. He looked back down at the girl, her soft, blue hair, her motionless face... It finally sparked him. "You're Right! No point sitting around- we have to move it, and fast!"
----------
After a mess of movement, both involving a trip to the lake and back (with a carved rock bowl in tow), gathering a few leaves to help with containment, and picking a few fresh, unknown fruits (very sweet- there's actually a trace of medicine in them) for when she woke up, they were all set.
There Aqua lay, withing their sleeping cavern, with a small wrap of ice on her head, and being fanned by a few young'uns. Close by was a very large, very comforting shaggy warmth for her, one that was sleeping next to her.

As she was looked after by the tribe of Blizzard Yeti's, Aqua slept on, unaware of their kindness. Kindness given to her for her generosity given to their chief...
It was only a few hours later that she finally stirred.
The young-uns heard her grunt a bit in her sleep, as she moved around a bit... "Uuuuugh... Mmmmm..." Her eyes strained closed a moment... Before they fluttered open, she still felt a little warm, but the icepack on her head was doing it's job. Aqua looked a bit confused really. The ice pack on her head was doing it's job keeping her cooled down, as she looked around curiously.
"Huh..? Wh-where... Am I?"
