Gantz thought about this a moment, and quickly sized up the army. There looked like several rifles, rocket launchers, and other sorts of guns amongst the midst... Challenging, but not impossible to handle... Okay, it wouldn't even be a challenge.
He sighed a bit. "Well... Whatever gets this stupid game over faster..." Gantz nods to the bunch. "Fine, we'll go with you... But for the record, if any of you so much as think about shooting us... Well, let's put it this way; it's the 3rd most guaranteed way to piss me off... And there ARE scarier things in this life then Rayleigh." He motioned to Nina to put her sword down. She didn't seem to particularly like the order but she did as such.
Red seemed a tad confused that she was going along with this... but hey, this was Gantz they were talking about, he's never steered them wrong before... Right?

The captain snorted. "Right. Just try not to cause trouble with us. We aren't a bunch of redshirts." He signaled to his squad. "Let's go, men!"
The com rang again. Jihl was beginning to get a headache. "Yes?" "This is Alpha Squad. We have Yana's group and are en route to the Command Center." "Finally, something's done right. Make sure they get here unharmed, captain. I will await your arrival." "Understood."
Yana felt uneasy as the squad led them through the park. "This is almost too easy. Is it normal for Kavma to do something like this?" he asked Gantz. As soon as Gantz finished talking, they all jumped as one of the squad members shouted, "We've got hostiles!" Several bizarre, lanky sheep-like demons leaped over the fences around them. Before Yana's group could take out their weapons, the captain shouted, "OPEN FIRE!" The squad proceeded to hose the monsters with bullets. One of them got too close, only for the member it was attacking to pull out a combat knife and drive it into its skull. "Grenade!" One second later, there was a loud explosion that reduced the remaining monsters too so much bloody salsa. The whole thing went so quickly that none of Yana's group had a chance to start attacking. The captain turned to them and smirked. "Like I said--we aren't a bunch of redshirts." Both Yana and Erin sweat-dropped. "No kidding..." "Vee..."

With the gang, Nina stayed close to Gantz likely due to the social ranking the boy implied himself to have. Though, given, she wasn't exactly sure what sort of social ranking a 'Clan Leader' was supposed to have. Did that mean he had his own house of nobility?
Ah, whatever.
As that happened, Rose kept a close eye on the soldier, still unsure of what to make of her.
At Yana's question, Gantz turned to look at him. "He's done it once or twice before now. It's rare, but often times these escorts come in handy, if you don't know where you're going."
When the fight came and gone, the group looked on in awe at the sight. Gantz had to give Kavma this, his men were decently trained. "Eh, not bad." Instead of saying anything however, Gantz went for the cooler route. While he really had seen more impressive team-work in Ivalice, he wasn't about to let these guys know he was a tad impressed. "Anyways, shall we keep going? I believe there's still work to be done."
Nina herself looked quite surprised at Gantz's nonchalant response, as did Climber and Red.

The captain gave him the evil eye, but said nothing to him. "Move out! Double time!"
"Ma'am, surveillance shows that Alpha Squad is approaching the command center with Yana's group in tow." Jihl allowed herself a smirk of satisfaction. "It appears that things are looking up. Contact the captain and have them enter the side entrance to the lounge, I'm going down there to greet them."
He could sense it. That same power. It was different from before...ah, she had found herself a vessel...along with some deluded cur who was foolish enough to wield her. It made no difference to him. It was simply another phase in the cycle...and soon, the two blades would clash again... "Come to me, my sister...let us meet in the glory of battle once again..."
The 'command center', as it turned out, was simply a large warehouse with what appeared to be an administration building next to it. Yana couldn't help but feel unnerved. There was something in that building, something cold and evil and full of hate. If Soul had a body, he could have felt her tense. She could sense it too. Erin was shaking badly--she could smell whatever was in there and it was freaking her out to no end. She wished that she could just go into her Pokeball... Yana looked down at Erin and picked her up. "It'll be fine, okay? I won't let anything hurt you--or any of our friends, for that matter." Erin calmed down at that. He was right, of course--this was him they were talking about. He had never led the others wrong before, and he wasn't going to start with Gantz and his gang either! Meanwhile, the captain looked at them from the corner of his eye. I swear to God, my sister has a mink coat that looks just like that animal.

Gantz took in the lair a moment; so this was what one of Kavma's bases looked like... Of course he also took notice of the cold, evil energy somewhere within, him and Soul both. "It would appear that the commander of these gentlemen is not the only one inside this building."
Rosaline stuck close to Gantz for familiarities sake. "Gantz... I don't like this place..."
"Trust me, neither do I."
"Huh?"
Acting differently from the others, Nina noticed her form shiver, and could seem to feel some odd presence permeating the building... "What is this... Weird feeling I have?"
Deciding to help her, Gantz pointed to her keyblade. "It's your keyblade Nina." Nina looked to him curiously. "We didn't get much of a chance to talk about it earlier. So we might as well catch up on it... Basically, the keyblade gives you a myriad of new abilities. Apparently one of them is acute 'aura sensing', which allows you to know if something good or evil is nearby."
Red nodded, having heard a bit about that herself.
The more Nina tried to get a sense of what she was feeling though... The more her keyblade's energy seemed to quiver in fright... She looked down to it curiously, having sensed it.
What was inside this building anyway?

The captain interrupted them. "All right, people, let's mosey."
The side entrance led them into a sort of lounge. Nobody was in there, giving it a slight sense of abandonment. "Where is everyone?" Yana asked. As if on cue, they started to hear footsteps, and then a woman entered the room, accompanied by two security guards. "Ah, there you are. Captain, you and your squad are dismissed." The captain bowed and led his men out of the room. The woman turned to the group and made a slight bow. "It is an...honor to meet you and your...friends in person, Mr. Yana. Allow me to introduce myself--I am Superior Jihl Nabaat, of Crystal Room LMT." Yana wasn't sure what to make of her. She looked like someone's secretary. "Uh, hi." Erin immediately started growling at her. She smelled almost like that last one... "Hey, calm down," Yana said gently. Jihl ignored this little exchange and gave the rest of the group a look-over, her lip curling when she saw Rosaline (though she said nothing to her) and stopping when her gaze fell on Nina. "Well, no doubt you are all wanting to get the second challenge over with, but but I suggest that you wait here and rest for a little while." She pointed at Nina, saying, "However, I believe that the girl will have to come with me for a moment." Yana jumped in front of Nina before anyone could say anything. "What?! What do you need her for?" he demanded. Jihl's eyes narrowed. "That girl managed to breach security. I want to know how and why, so it won't happen again, and besides, for all we know she could be a spy of some sort sent to sabotage our operation. Now move aside."

At that moment, Gantz's second sword Eclipse appeared between Yana and Jihl. "Yeeeaaaaaah no." Gantz glared Jihl. Okay, he didn't really recognize her since he had NEVER played into Final Fantasy XIII enough to see who she was, but really... "I don't make it a habit to trust one of Kavma's stooges. Least of all, one of his higher ups."
Red giggled at the insult, while Climber looked like he was confused about something. "Uh Gantz? What's a stooge?"
His question remained unanswered however, as Rosaline noticed Jihl's look. Her eyes narrowed at the commander, but she said nothing as well.
"And besides." Gantz continued on after a second. "It's how Dimensional Island works. You never know HOW you'll get here, least of all where you'll land when you do get here." He put away the Eclipse. "You must be new to the operation, otherwise I would've figured you'd know that by now."
To be honest, Jihl gave Nina a slight feeling of unease. Even if the group hadn't come to her aid, she would've refused coming with her anyways... It just had to do with the look in her eyes... Jihl's eyes had that look that MORE then hinted that she had seen some terrible things... And Nina was more then willing to guess that this woman had caused most, if not all of them.

That information was completely new to Yana. Maybe that's how I got here... He shook his head. Focus! Jihl sneered. "You must be Alex...or 'Gantz Gun', as you like to call yourself." She snorted. "Ridiculous name. I've read your file, you know--you certainly have quite a few accomplishments to your name already, haven't you? But more to the point--if you think I haven't been briefed on the nature of this island, then you are sorely mistaken. Lord Raleigh himself has seen to the security of this facility, placing elaborate enchantments and the like around the borders--absolutely nothing can enter the area by any unnatural means, such as spontaneous warping or whatever you call it, without his consent. If he was going to allow this girl to enter the area, he would've notified me in advance--" Her com rang. "For the love of--" She picked up, snapped "Now is not the time!", cutting off the captain in charge of security at Mt. Bonsai, and hung up. "Where was I? Ah, yes--" The com rang again. She picked up and shouted, "WHAT DO YOU WANT, YOU IDIOTS?!" "...I find it hard to believe you're having THAT bad of a day, Jihl." Jihl blanched. I yelled at Mr. Raleigh again. This is not my day. "Who--" Yana started. Jihl cut him off with a glare. "Er, sorry, Mr. Raleigh, Yana's group has reached the command center." "Excellent. Please tell them that I will be unable to attend due to the matter we discussed earlier." "Very well, sir...er, we also seem to have a situation..." As she proceeded to explain the deal with Nina and everything, Yana whispered to Gantz, "Do you think she's right about Kavma not letting anything in here? Can he do that? Oh, and a stooge is an idiot, Climber."
He was growing impatient. What was taking so long? "How much longer must I wait?" He growled. One of the technicians in the observation booth turned on the speaker. "We have been notified that your opponent has entered the building. He will be with you shortly."

Gantz considered this. "Possibly." After a second, he looked to Nina, and then looked to her keyblade...
'Hmmmm.... Maybe the keyblade has something to do with it... Keyblades and their wielders don't tend to be affected by many kinds of magic.' The whole thing where Sora was on the Pirates of the Caribbean world and should have been cursed by the Cursed Aztec Gold, even though they clearly weren't, came to mind.
It would make sense... To Gantz's knowledge, Nina was the first keyblader he ever saw on this island.
Red looked on at Jihl, having noticed Rosaline's glare. She figured if Rosie was glaring she should as well.
With Soul Calibur, she could feel Soul Edge's impatience from HERE. Man, did these guys really think they could control something like Soul Edge? Really...
Though she had to admit, if Soul knew her brother as well as she thought she did... Well... She was surprised that he hadn't already unleashed his full power and decided to take part in a blood-thirsty rampage on these godless, gun-totting, as Gantz puts it, stooges...
What was going on?

"...I see." "Now do you understand my situation? If they continue to refuse, I may have to resort to force, and I remember you explicitly stating that you wished no harm on them." "...You say that the girl simply appeared?" "I don't know how she got past the defenses. All I know is that this woman in pink--" "Does she have a weapon?" Jihl blinked, surprised. She glanced at Nina and said, "Yes, a rather odd sword...looks like one of those Keyblades mentioned in the file..." "...Oops." If Jihl had been drinking anything, she would've done a spittake. "I--I beg your pardon, sir?!" "Ah, yes...this is rather embarrassing...while I was setting up the defenses earlier, I...well, I rather forgot to include Keyblades into the equation--" "Meaning?" "In short, anyone in possession of a Keyblade can simply walk into the area without repercussion. Jihl stared at the com, mouth agape. "I--ju--this is a serious security breach, sir! How could you simply forget?!" "Jihl, calm down. Everyone has their off days, and besides, I've been busy this past week. Now, in regards to the girl, I suggest you simply allow her to stay with Alex. If you absolutely must question her, you may do it in the observation booth during the challenge." "I--" "I must be going. I'll talk to you later, Jihl." He hung up. Jihl continued to stare into the com, until Yana cleared his throat. "Uh, hello?" Jihl snapped out of her stupor. "Ah, yes, right...well, the circumstances have changed for now--the girl may stay with you, though don't think for an instant that she's out of the woods yet." "Who were you talking to?" Yana asked. "None of your business," Jihl snapped. She ignored Red's glare. "Now--" The com--ah, you get the drill. "So help me fal'Cie, if this keeps up I am going to snap someone's NECK..." She checked the com. "If this isn't good news, you will be the first to die," she said in a rather calm (yet terrifying) tone. "..." The technician was not expecting that comment. "Um, it's Nightmare, Superior...he's growing rather impatient..." "Is that all? Tell him to wait, it's not as if he can move so much as a finger anyway." "Are you talking about Nightmare?" Yana asked. Jihl gave him a look that translated to Shut up or I will castrate you where you stand. (I've noticed that Yana isn't really talking much in my posts. I need to fix that. DX)

.....................
Soul Calibur looked at Jihl with a look of disbelief. 'It's not as if he can move'? 'IT'S NOT AS IF HE CAN MOVE'?? Was she talking about Soul Edge? No, there was no way. No-one was powerful enough to put the sword down, much less detain him. Such power was impossible.
Who WERE these people??
At that time, Gantz looked equally surprised, but not necessarily shocked. Kavma had taken control of far stronger beings before. Jihl's Fal'cie reference however came to his attention...
As Jihl glared at Yana, Gantz momentarily took in Jihl's uniform...
He was more then sure he had seen something similar before...
'That's intresting...' Gantz thought to himself. With that thought in mind, he eyed Jihl suspiciously. "Whatever the case might be, Nina has a keyblade... You can bet I'm not gonna let her end up with you.."
Nina looked a bit surprised at this notion.
Rosaline meanwhile, snorted at Jihl. "Well, someone's feathers sure get ruffled easily."

Jihl gave them all a look that basically said if it weren't for the fact I wasn't given orders to do so I would see to it that you all die where you stand. "We're coming up. Tell that decrepit suit of armor we'll be there shortly." She shut off the com. "I don't give a damn if she has all the power of the Maker herself, boy. And as for you...madam...your comments are not appreciated. Be very thankful I simply don't have you ejected from the premises with your friends. But enough of that--we're going to proceed with the second challenge." She turned Yana. "Mr. Yana, you will be accompanying these two guards to the room where Nightmare is contained. Your compatriots will accompany me to the observation room, where we will observe your challenge." Yana and Erin looked at each other. "I--" "The rat cannot accompany you." This IMMEDIATELY made Yana incensed. He stomped toward Jihl and glared at her, a mere inch away from her face. "She is not a rat!" Jihl snorted. "Whatever." She gestured to the guards. "Men, escort Mr. Yana to the chamber. If he attempts anything funny, you have my utmost permission to shoot him. Just make sure you don't kill him." Yana was SURE that was a contradiction of some sort. Erin tugged at his pantleg. "Vee..." "I'll be fine, remember?" He said to her. "I can take care of myself. You can stay with Red while I do this, can you do that?" Erin hated the idea of leaving him alone again, but she nodded and ran over to Red. "Cute," Jihl said sarcastically. "Now, Mr. Alex, or whatever name you call yourself, you and your friends will come with me to the observation room. And don't think of attempting anything foolish, boy--though then again, you seem to have a track record of doing stupid things." "Do you HAVE to insult everyone you meet?" Yana snapped. "It's not like it'll kill you to be a little nice to people." Jihl turned to him, looking annoyed. Well, more so than before, anyway. "Mr. Raleigh has given me orders that you are to remain alive, boy. The same cannot be said of them." She nodded her head towards the rest of the group. "So I suggest you hold your tongue--" Com again. Rather than actually answer it this time, she placed it on the ground and stomped on it. "Now, then, I suggest we get on with it," she said calmly, as if she hadn't just destroyed a very expensive piece of military hardware. "Gentlemen, see Yana to the chamber. Mr. Alex and company, with me, please."

Gantz near broke out laughing at Jihl stomping the crap out of her Com unit, and was doing everything in his power not to say anything. Rosaline meanwhile giggled a bit at the sight. "Rude? I was only saying you should work on that temper of yours. You get any angrier and your likely to get grey hairs, if not wrinkles."
As Jihl responded to this, Red quickly picked up Erin and kept the Eevee close, pretty much snuggling with it like a teddy bear. To be frank, she was quite nervous about this ordeal. Just as Nina had, she too felt a dangerous air around Jihl. While she was distrustful, she was also a bit scared too.
Climber meanwhile, kept quiet. He wasn't sure if any of the guns on these soldier's persons were flamethrowers, but he wasn't about to take that chance unless he absolutely had to.
Nina however...
"Second test-"
That was about all she was ready to stand. She appreciated Sir Gantz, Lady Rose and their compatriats being there for her, but she was still very much unsure of the situation as a whole. The creepiness factor of the building didn't help.
"Okay, can someone PLEASE, tell me what's going on here?" She said with a frown. "I mean, I've survived on minimal knowledge for a while yeah, but still, I'd LIKE to have SOME clue about what's happening!"
Gantz nodded to her, sighing. "Just follow me and Rose, Nina, we'll explain on the way."

"Come on, then." Jihl led the group into one of the nearby doors leading upstairs, while Yana was lead into the door leading to Nightmare's chamber.
Yana couldn't help but feel nervous as he was lead down the hallway. "So, uh... what's this Nightmare guy like?" he asked the guards. One of them snorted. "Heard that the Containment Division's Phi Squad were the ones who brought him in. The captain said he was a total pushover." "They had Lord Raleigh with him, remember?" the other guard reminded him. "Oh yeah. Well, he said it was a bit tricky getting him out of that crystal, but like I said--pushover." No doubt that would set Soul Calibur off, but regardless of whether she did or didn't, Yana immediately stopped and put his hand to his head. "Something wrong?" One of the guards asked. "...I dunno..." Yana mumbled. "Feel kinda fuzzy, but..." he shook his head. "I'm fine. Come on, let's get this over with."
Upon reaching the second floor, four guards approached the group. "Perfect timing, gentlemen." Jihl turned to the others and said, "Come along, and remember--if you so much as think of doing anything stupid, you will find yourself filled with lead before you blink. And we have flamethrowers, so don't think your grey friend there has nothing to worry about."
She was coming closer, ever closer...if he could, he would've been shivering with anticipation. "Come to me...yes, come to me, my dear sister... A sinister chuckle could be heard...
Meanwhile, one of the techs in the Observation Room shivered. "Gah... I need to get myself transferred to Research and Development or something, I am not cut out for this..."

?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? "A PUSHOVER?!?!? A PUSHOVER?!?!?!?!?" Now that did NOT sound like Soul Edge. Not even in the f@cking SLIGHTEST. "HOW IS IS TO YOU THAT HE CAN BE A PUSHOVER?!?!?!?" She growled in her form. "What do you think your little extraction would have been like if your PRECIOUS Master WASN'T there to help your squad? I've seen Nightmare in his worst... Hell, he even CORRUPTED me so many thousands of years ago!! I'll bet if your Master wasn't there, he would've SLAUGHTERED THE LOT OF YO-"
It wasn't that Soul Calibur actually cared what happened to Soul Edge; hell the thought of Soul Edge being detained would've made her laugh her @$$ off (Does she even have a backside?) on any other occasion... But to be bluntly honest, the way they were just putting off capturing something as dangerous and as deadly as Soul Edge so leisurely was REALLY starting to piss the holy sword off. Yes, that was easy to do, but this time she was REALLY mad. These guys weren't just insulting Soul Edge... To her, it felt like they were mocking their rivalry, making light about how many lives were lost in the effort to bring that sword down...
To be frank, she wanted to personally slice those godless @$$holes f@cking heads off.
What had interrupted her however was Yana's sudden shiver. When she looked up, she saw the boy put his hand to his head...
What the heck?
Even though Yana quickly shrugged off the soldiers concern, Soul's concern was not so easy to shake off. Okay, no need to be paranoid... But still... It'd probably be best to keep a close eye on him...
-------------------------------------------------------------
Climber notably whimpered when he heard that there were, indeed, Flamethrowers present. "G-Gantz."
"You heard the lady Climber, just stand still." Gantz answered casually. As he did, he momentarily scoped out the room. The four guards were quick to get them under guard, and Jihl herself looked out through the glass of the second floor. The rest of them had an advantageous view of the action as well...
Red shivered pretty badly at the sight of Nightmare and held Erin closer for comfort. Climber meeped in fear. Nina grew exceptionally pale and wide-eyed at the sight of the horrific knight. Rosaline shivered as Red did and held Gantz closer, much to his temporary surprise.
Okay, back to the situation.
Gantz took in the room again, and the guards. Four guards, more awaiting downstairs, likely...
As he looked back down to Nightmare, a possible escape plan was formulating in his head. He wanted to make sure he had a back-up plan in case psycho woman decided to change her mind about killing them.
