.....................
Twilight took in the doll, her eyes wide and her cheeks red. It was one thing to hear about her popularity, but it was another thing entirely to see a direct result of it. Her eyes never left the doll, simply amazed at it's design. "Uh... No, you didn't..."
She magicked the doll over to her to take a better look at it. While the doll was faithful to most of her appearance she found that the mane was quite unruly, completely unlike her at all...
This was done whilst ignoring Shining's response... For the moment.

"Pfft... snrrk..." The stallion was fighting to hold back his laughter... holding it... losing it... "Pfft... BAHAHAH~!" The white equine fell backwards, laughing hard. "Oh... Oh jeez, Twiley. That looks... pretty good. That mane, though; it's a mess!"

Rulett rubbed the back of her neck once more, examining the wheel just so she could appear to be doing something. She glanced back up, moving her hand away from her roulette wheel, accidentally setting it in motion. "I'm really sorry about that. I didn't think I'd be meeting you and your brother."
She paused, turning to look at the white unicorn, confusion on her face. "...'Twiley'?"
Then there came a thud, not that loud but enough to catch the troll's attention. Her eyes widened at the sight of a pink, winged-pegasi plush toy with what appeared to be a green crystal heart on its flank. She frowned, slowly approaching the extremely life-like doll. Well, as life-like as one can expect a multi-colored pony to be. She shook her head, scratching her cheek in confusion. "...strange...I don't remember alchemizing this one..."

"Oh well you see, Twiley is what my brother calls me, it's a nickname you see-" Twilight was SHARPLY interrupted by the appearance of a big life-size plushie of one pony she and her brother knew very well.
For a long hard moment, Twilight and Shining Armor looked at it, unsure what to think. ".... Uh... Is that a life-sized plush of Princess Cadence?" That was about ALL she could think to say on this matter. The situation had turned from flattering to just a tad creepy. Not REALLY creepy mind, but just a tad.

Shining's cheeks were a little flushed. "...I think it is..." He looked over the plush... it was very close to life-detail... He blushed a little brighter; even the contours of her flanks weren't quite equal, just like he remembered. "Um..." He shuffled a hoof lightly on the floor.

Rulett tilted her head in confusion. "...who's Princess Cadence?" She looked at their concerned faces, then at the doll, quickly making the connection. "...squeak." She touched it, and it quickly vanished. A trio of slots in the roulette wheel turned pink.
Turning back to the ponies, she gave a sheepish smile and a nervous laugh. "...um...sorry...I'd alchemized quite a few of those a while back...they were cute...I mean..." She averted her gaze, frowning softly. "...I'll, um...I'll just go, now..."
She glanced at the roulette wheel, finally noticing that it was spinning. With a sigh, she crossed her arms over her chest, waiting for it to stop. Her eyes widened as she saw it land on a large section of red. "Squeak!" She held up her hands, blocking the red, white and blue shield that was flung at her with a translucent burgundy force field.
Tentatively opening her eyes, she looked at the shield at her feet. She squeaked happily, grabbing it and holding it to her chest. "I wondered where that went!" She froze, slowly turning to the ponies. "...um...sorry about that? I kinda...can't put the wheel away until it stops spinning..." She cleared her throat, snapping her fingers. The wheel vanished, even though the unicorn plush toy and shield were still out. "...and, to answer your earlier question, it's not magic...it's technology." She tapped her chin, thinking for a few seconds. "...at least, I think it is..."

Twilight took in the shield that appeared, her curiosity even more piqued then ever. Perhaps what interested her even more was the fact that, very similarly to Shining Armor himself, she called up an odd reddish brown barrier. It didn't appear like any barrier she had seen before; it didn't appear to be magic based. And even more then that, her interest in the creature before her just grew more and more with each passing second.
"I see..." Twilight continued looking at her a moment before the unicorn decided to cut to the chase. "So... I have to say while this conversation has been a bit confusing, I'm also really interested... What brings you here to the museum? You look a little lost all things considered."

Shining eyed the shield with curiosity; he, like his sister had noticed the similarity and was very curious. "...Hm... maybe we can help you?"
The unicorn stallion had to admit that he was seriously tempted to swipe the plush of Cadence, but pushed that thought away. Maybe later.

She smiled softly, shaking her head. "I'm not lost. I'm killing time until..." Her voice trailed off, a distant look coming to her eyes. She blinked, quickly pulling herself out of the trance, blushing a dark red. "...let's just say I'm waiting for a friend."
She frowned, fiddling with the bracelet on her wrist. She pressed a button, allowing a small transparent screen to appear in mid-air. She saw the gray circle next to her friend's handle and sighed, quickly deactivating the holographic screen. "...I hope he's alright..."

Twilight watched as she introduced another odd device in the form of her bracelet. The holoscreen that followed startled her but she quickly got over her unassuredness to look at it closer. The grey circles were next to every name on that list, but she seemed hung up on one in particular.
Immediately Twilight's heart went out to her, sure she didn't know what was going on, but she could see disappointment and she heard her mention a him... Perhaps she was waiting for this friend? "You're waiting for a friend of yours?" Twilight looked down a moment, thinking about this. "Do you know where he is, or when he'll be back?"

Shining didn't say much... though he did eye the Cadence plush again... okay, as soon as he was sure Twilight and Rulett weren't watching, he used a storage spell and swiped it. He wasn't sure why but he wanted it.

She sighed, reclining in the air, using her wings to keep her aloft. She pouted softly, looking at the God of Space statue. "...i am...he only said that he had a mission to complete..." She shrugged, her gaze shifting over to the purple unicorn. "...I suppose he thought I'd be even more worried if I knew anything else..."
She idly glanced over to where the pink plush was and stopped. Her brow furrowed in confusion at the now-vacant spot. "...um...what happened to the pink pony plush?" She turned to the living ponies, curiosity slowly replacing her bewilderment. "...and...how are you keeping that book aloft without touching it?"

Twilight also noticed that the Princess Cadence plush was missing. However before she could get to the bottom of THAT mystery, she heard Rulett inquire about the book. The pony looked and found that she was still holding the book aloft with a simple lifting spell. She had forgotten about casting it since she was so interested in the troll herself.
"Oh this? This is just a simple lifting spell I know. It's a spell almost every unicorn learns how to do first and foremost. It's a handy little skill." The unicorn handed Rulett her book. "Sorry, forgot I was still holding the book."
With that said however, she looked to Rulett curiously. "But still... Did he mention what kind of mission this friend of yours was on?"

Give Shining Armor credit; he could be a half-decent actor when necessary. He was pretty good at keeping casual. "Huh... dunno... weird. And this friend of yours... he can hold his own in a fight, right? This place seems pretty dangerous..."
Internally, the stallion was cheering at having gotten away with getting the plush.

Rulett sighed, shaking her head a bit. "He didn't really say." She looked down at the book, making it vanish into her syllabus. With that, she turned to the stallion, smiling softly. "...and yes, he's pretty good at fighting."
She walked forward, leaning close to whisper in his ear. "If you wanted the plush, all you had to do was ask." She giggled, winking and motioning towards a smooth, black-marble pillar. "Reflective surfaces."
Clearing her throat, she moved to Twilight, suddenly nervous. She tried to steel her resolve, wanting to know just how much of the show was real. "...so...is it true that your friend saved another one of yours during a competition?"
