If there was one thing that always interested Twilight about the island it was the existence of the human race. In her eyes, she could see so much history and so much to learn just waiting right under the surface. So one day, as she was studying magic, she read about a museum somewhere in Void City and she wanted so much to visit it, to see just what it had to offer her inquisitive mind with it's wide-eyed curiosity
And when she found the building, she wasn't disappointed. The Museum was filled to the brim with all kinds of art, exhibits of human history (Specifically history on the island which she found extremely interesting), and it all just fascinated her so. She especially loved the art section, there was just so much stuff to see, things of exquisite beauty or intricate design.
Oh how it fascinated her so...
"Shining Shining! Look at this stuff! It's amazing!" As she walked around she found an exhibit talking about what sounded like some kind of God that could warp the cosmos to his whim. "Oh! And look at this one! This is an interesting myth right here! Check it out!"

Of course, when Twilight wanted to go to the library, Shining made sure she'd take him with her. It had been a little while since the 'incident' but he still felt nervous whenever Twilight wasn't close by. The white unicorn stallion chuckled at his sister's exuberance, following her around the exhibits and taking a look around for himself. "Mm? Well this ought to be interesting... what is it, Twiley?" He picked up his pace slightly, going to Twilight's side and taking a look at the exhibit in question. He wasn't as big a knowledge buff as his sister was, but that didn't mean he didn't appreciate a good piece of history. He had to learn a lot about Equestria's history when he was studying to become a Royal Guard, after all.

Nearby, a gray-skinned humanoid wandered about, looking at each exhibit with a mix of confusion and frustration. "...I know I'm not an idiot, but this place makes me feel like I am..." She sighed, her burgundy eyes slowly moving towards a patch of color.
Her jawed dropped as she instantly recognized the lavender form. "...i-isn't that...?" She didn't realize it, but she was starting to approach the sibling pair, stars in her eyes. She eventually stopped a couple yards away, trying her best to keep calm. "...um...T-Twilight Sparkle?"

Twilight had been busily reading the description for an exhibit for this so called 'God of Space' with her brother when she heard that odd and meek little voice. Sure she wouldn't have given the voice much thought, but when it called her name she was more then interested.
It didn't help that, at that moment, she felt a peculiar and VERY powerful presence approach her and her brother.
When she turned to face the mysterious power, she was met with the sight of a very peculiar creature. Someone who appeared female with light mouse like teeth and wearing peculiar robes... What made her different from other humans was that her skin was a distinct grey color and she had horns; odd looking horns that looked like that of a mouse's ears. She also had butterfly wings poking out of her back.
She was just... INTRANCED at the being she saw. "Wh-what the-"

Shining blinked a few times. "...What the..." That... girl, he was pretty sure... didn't look anything like the humans he was familiar with. Hell, she didn't even look like any of the youkai he'd met either. "...Who are you... and how do you know my sister's name...?" He took a step forward, getting slightly in front of his sister. He couldn't help it. He was on edge now.

She blinked, realizing that she must've been a bit too direct. Gulping softly, she tried to remember how her friend told her to greet others, extending a hand in as non-threatening a manner as she knew. "I'm sorry, my name's Rulett. I know your..."
She stared at the white stallion, clearly confused. "...sister? The show never mentioned she had a brother..." She frowned slightly, moving her hand to her lips. "...maybe it was an episode I didn't see yet?"
She activated her fetch modus, causing a roulette wheel to appear next to her. She gave it a small spin, hoping that it would land on her laptop so she could investigate this further. Of course, she didn't think of what this would look like to the siblings.

Twilight's eyes widened as she jumped and took a backstep. The Roulette wheel appearing out of THIN AIR certainly surprised her a fair deal, but none more so then this girl knowing HER specifically. She had heard she was popular here on the island, but people knowing her name at a glance? That was a surprise.
It was rather flattering, but it was still a surprise.
"Uh... Yes... This is my brother Shining Armor...." She looks at the troll a moment, taking her in. "Um... If I may ask, who or what are you?"

Shining inhaled slightly upon the appearance of the roulette wheel, exhaling through his nose, keeping his gaze on the troll girl. Now he was even more between Rulett and his sister.
"...How did you do that...?"

She smiled softly, bowing slightly to them. "As I said, my name is Rulett, and I'm an Alternian..." She paused, frowning slightly. "...though some call us trolls, which I suppose is technically true..."
She cleared her throat, motioning to the wheel next to her. "This is my fetch modus. I use it to store objects." She nervously chuckled, rubbing the back of her head. "It's a bit of a pain to get items out of it, though."
At that moment, the wheel stopped turning, ejecting a heavy tome into Rulett's arms. Completely caught off-guard, she dropped the book on accident. She sighed, rubbing her forehead. "...it tends to release the heaviest items first."

Twilight looked on, fascinated at this... 'Fetch Modus' as it made a book appear out of thin air. While it surprised Rulett, Twilight approached, looking at the Tome a moment. She magics the tome towards herself and opens it up. "Hmmm... That's very interesting..."
She lowers the book and looks at the Fetch Modus... After a moment, she looks at it curiously. "But... WOW! How does this thing work? What kind of magic does it use?? I can kinda see storage magic in use, but everything else? It's such a mystery to me!" She looks to Rulett curiously. "And why does it release only heavy items first? That doesn't seem very efficient. Shouldn't storage magic let you put in what you want and pull out what you want?"

Shining walked a little closer, inspecting the roulette wheel. "...It... it looks like a game of chance I saw in Las Pegasus not long ago... a ball goes around and lands in a slot... and whoever bet on that number wins... is that how this works?" The stallion's guard was lowered, Shining now being more curious than anything else. "It seems like it's luck-based how you get what you stored..."

Rulett rubbed the back of her neck, trying to think of how to best explain it. "...well, when I put an item it, it measures how much the item weighs. It calculates the percentage the item makes of the combined inventory mass and assigns a number of 'slots' to it." She pointed at the tome. "The more mass it has, the more slots it receives."
She cleared her throat, pointing at the slots in the wheel. About half of them were just two colors, while the rest were a veritable rainbow of colors. "Since that book is no longer in here, my extra shields are making up most of the mass. Which is the main reason the weight system is in effect - so weapons are more readily available. It does depend on luck, though." She pulled out a card, sighing softly. "Of course, I could also change the function...if the switch hadn't gotten stuck."

"It... It's STUCK?" Twilight looked at the girl a moment, taking her in. There was certainly no intent to lie in her voice. "How could it get stuck? Where is this switch on this thing anyway?"
Twilight looked over the machine a moment, taking it in. The logic appeared sound, but, like Shining said, it appeared purely luck based. She had better luck getting any random old thing out of there rather then her weapons. "Well either way this is very interesting and all but..." She notices the rainbow of colors somewhere in the machine... "What... Do you have in there anyways?"

Shining sniffed the machine lightly. "...How strange... and yeah. What's in here? Besides your shields, anyway." She used shields as a weapon? The stallion did find that rather admirable.

She blinked, processing their question for a few seconds. Slowly, a dark red hue began to grow on her cheeks, her eyes looking everywhere except the two ponies in front of her. "...um...well...the thing is..."
That's when the roulette wheel decided to eject a purple plush toy directly at her. It collided with her now completely-burgundy face, landing in her arms. She glanced down at it, then up at the identical unicorn standing in front of her. A few beads of nervous sweat formed on her brow, a sheepish smile on her lips.
"...did I mention it also malfunctions at random times?"
