Nora sat and thought, sticking a finger to her cheek. "Oooh... so, if aomething made of mechon material attacked, we might be able to stop it with those weapons!" she cheered. By the window, a faint silhoute finally made itself known, the owner leering into the house with eager determination.

Paul leaned in closer and studied what he saw behind the window pane, eyebrow raised, head tilted, tail swaying like an inquisitive cat. The silhouette appeared to be quite small, hardly any bigger than one foot. Taking this and its mischievous behavior into account, Paul decided it best to make an effort to not look intimidating; he had learned the hard way a long time ago that he had a habit of doing so unintentionally. Thus, he gave whoever was outside a little smile, his yellow eyes warm and welcoming.

Shulk nodded in response. "Indeed. I'm guessing that you have some combat experience then? What exactly do you use?"
He had to admit that he was curious; he hadn't needed to fight in quite some time, but the Homs certainly believed that it would be best to keep those things in mind should it come to that.

"A hammer," Nora smiled. "That doubles as my rocket launcher!" The held the compact rocket launcher up, clicking it as a handle rushed into view, the device becoming more properly shaped like a giant sledge hammer. "And it packs a HUGE wallop!"
The tiny sprite gently rubbed its fingers on the window, bouncing up and down with glee. This fellow certainly looked like a friendly face to her!

Paul's smile widened at the little creature's behavior, waving to her in a cutesy manner. He then looked over his shoulder and said, "Hey, Shulk! Not to diverge from the current topic at hand, but it seems you have another guest out here."

Shulk nodded at the mention of her using a hammer. That was fine; that wasn't that different from Reyn's drivers, and he'd made plenty of those in his time... then she mentioned 'rocket launcher'.
"...Beg your pardon?" He was perplexed and it showed on his face. Fortunately, he didn't have to muse on that long before Paul got his attention. "Mmm? Is that so?" The blond began walking over, looking at the window, at the sprite. "...Huh."

What appeared to be a small, pale blue girl with long, white hair acting as a poncho stood on the other side of the window. When a larger gathering came to the window, she paniced, running out of sight and toward a bush, the bush hardly being able to be seen thanks to her mist hanging around.
"Wonder why it took off," Nora wondered, her sudden appearance between Paul and Shulk a rather odd sight to behold.

"W...?" The sprite's abrupt exit disappointed and even saddened Paul. He pressed himself closer to the window, hoping to spot her through the mist. He barely even noticed Nora popping in on him and Shulk.

"That is... quite bizarre. I've never seen anything like that." He tilted his head slightly, a hand on his chin. "It seems like we might have startled it, whatever it was, when more of us came..." Nodding slightly, the Home turned, heading away from the window. He glanced at the robot again, exhaling.
"...I do wonder who made that robot. That type of engineering is quite impressive..."

Nora turned around as well, giving Metal an audible huff. "Well, at least he looks cool," she offered. "...can robots even be hes or shes?"
The Sprite poked her head back into view, slowly approaching again. Spending all of your life endlessly hunting in the barren reaches of the northern tundra was not a good way to build social skills, that was for sure.

While he kept his arms rested on the windowsill, Paul glanced over at Metal and gave a light shrug. "It certainly has some uniquely adaptive hardware and software. I'd say that something designed to take that kind of damage and make that sort of recovery was made for combat on some level or another. Not to mention speed, given the aerodynamics and jet boots."
Having said his two cents, Paul looked out the window again. It looked like his little friend was approaching through the mist again, but he kept quiet about it this time. He couldn't even bring himself to smile, only avert his gaze forlornly, wondering if he had upset the little creature...

"I'd agree with that. I'm just curious who would create a robot with that sort of design. It's certainly nothing like what I'm used to, at any rate."
Shulk exhaled softly, turning from the window as the mist was returning. Paul seemed to have that situation in hand. The Homs set the Monado back where he'd had it before, relaxing a bit. He'd not had any sort of vision, so he felt that he could be at ease.

Nora gave Metal's noggin a quick tap, in a 'knock knock, anyone home' kind of way. "Ow- you were right, that mechon metal's tough stuff," she offered, backing away from Metal afterward.
Outside, the tiny Sprite dashed her way back to the window, giving paul the oddest look. She didn't smile, but her eyes held the sparkle of someone insanely interested in him. This... is how one makes friends, right? she thought to herself, gently tapping at the wall.

"Well... at any rate..." Paul offered, keeping his gaze averted. "I'd like to be sure that these sort of adaptions to a robot of unknown origin won't pose any kind of threat. For all we know, we might've helped to upgrade what was already a weapon..."
As soon as she made her abrupt return, Paul looked down at the sprite. His yellow eyes reflected back a mutual curiosity. She seemed interested in him, a scenario familiar to him for multiple –if fairly obvious– reasons. Again, he tried taking on a friendly appearance, grinning a little and offering a small wave, opting to keep his fingers curled in to keep his claws tucked away.

Shulk shook his head. "I doubt it. If we were getting into a dangerous situation, I would've had a vision regarding it..."
Taking a moment to realize how strange that probably sounded, the Homs went into an explanation. "I can read the Ether of the world around me... it shows me a possible future, usually when something bad is going to happen. I didn't see anything regarding that robot."
