"Wait... So I really was dreaming about...?"
"The Kingdom of Light within the Incipisphere," Kendall continued for him. "The lack of clarity is certainly characteristic of a typical dream, but I do believe it's safe to say that your dream self is attempting to awaken."
"Dream... self...?"
"Only those destined to join the battle for Skaia have dream selves on Prospit or Derse."

"Guilty of coming from the darker of the twin moons," Forsaken offered. "But I never heard of a dreamer being locked out of the main city...."
Gears turned in her head as Forsaken thought. Her eyes glanced to Kendall. "Do you think it is safe for him to even jump a session?" she asked Kendall. "You clearly know the risks involved."

"Oh... Well..." Kendall wasn't sure what to say, feeling that such a question was more appropriate to ask Evan. "I certainly believe it could turn out for the best. I mean Evan..." He looked over at his friend, not wanting to leave him out. "You've been through your fair share of tough situations, and of course I'd be there to help you along! It's worth a try, isn't it?"
Evan looked between the two. He didn't look scared. He didn't even look all that shocked or confused anymore. It was just that this was happening so quickly. To think that he was basically being asked to join a war that he only barely knew anything about...
Still, Kendall clearly knew what he was doing, and even if this was some strange, alternate counterpart, Beth was still a friend. She needed help, which was enough to prompt him to do something, and Kendall's words of encouragement only helped to further prompt him.
Evan smiled a little. "If there's a chance that it'll all work out... then yeah, I can give it a shot."

"Evan. May I tag along when you go to meet your friends? I have a feeling they could help too," Forsaken offered seeming to accept Kendall's answer. "Also what do you know of God Tiers?"

"Yeah, totally!" Evan replied. "I'm sure they'd be happy to help!"
He pondered Forsaken's next question for a bit. "Well, I guess I understand the basic concept, with God Tier being the highest possible status you can earn in the game or... something to that degree, anyway. I know some of the titles and the... elements, I guess? All of my friends seem to have reached God Tier in their session. Thief of Void, Mage of Space, Witch of Blood..."

"Aaron and Pieter are here?" Forsaken asked with an eye brow raised. "Class and aspect. but you are close."

"Well, their alternates, anyway..." Evan mulled. "Class and Aspect. Got it. W-Why do you ask? Will I have to reach that?"
Though he was still smiling, something was clearly irking Kendall.

"That is to be explained later," Forsaken offered.

"Fair enough, I guess." Evan nodded. "But yeah. I'll do what I can."
Noah smiled, though he didn't look up from Evan's arm. "That's pretty noble of ya, kid."
"Thanks..." He looked between Kendall and Forsaken, a glimmer of hope in his deep brown eyes. "Anything else we need to go over?"

"Are you comfortable bringing your friends and love on this adventure? I have a feeling we might need their help...." Forsaken admitted. "Also.... Just note not all is as you think when we get in the Incispisphere...."

"Well, like I said, I'm sure they'd wanna help, and they're all great fighters. They can take care of themselves, and plus, we can take care of each other." He smiled optimistically. "We've seen plenty of weird stuff in ours days. We've stared death in the eye a number of times. Whatever happens, I'm positive we can handle it. Even if we're not ready, we can adapt fairly easily."

Forsaken sighed. "I was going to ask how well do you handle death, but you seem to have answered it." She sat up in her seat and let the crystal on her right arm uncover to show she still had that arm. One could see scars on her hand from bites, slashes, and assorted projectile marks. Quietly she removed her arm from the sleeve, showing a lattice work of scars.

Evan stared at her arm in respectful silence, properly shaken by the damage it had taken. As if out of self-awareness, his eyes briefly flicked to and from his own arm that was currently being inked. "Oh..."
He looked up at Kendall, then down to the floor. "I... can't say I can imagine what you've gone through. Sure, we've been in tough spots, but I've personally never lost anyone. Kendall might've died a few times, and that's always a difficult experience, but he always comes back, at least."
Kendall nodded solemnly, keeping quiet so Evan could say his piece.
"I do believe we could make this work... I never said it would be easy, but I'll be darned if I don't try anyway."

"But are you personally okay with death? That's my only question. Not one of your friends dying but you," Forsaken replied. "And honestly most of these are from me making mistakes or using certain frays I have."

"Ah..." Evan nodded a bit, perhaps only somewhat comforted. "Honestly... to see my friends and family die would be a worse fate. If I had to confront death head-on... I would, especially if it meant sparing them from the same fate." He closed his eyes, resisting the urge to retreat into himself so as not to disturb Noah's work. "I know it's inevitable. The only thing that worries me is... dying alone."
