The Summer Snow crew exchanged smiles of varying degrees of excitement and worry. Patrick even made up for his lack of a beverage by gleefully raising his pizza crust. "Toast!"

Evan looked down at Swift's wide eyes with a calm, endearing smile. "We're doing this. And it'll be great." He solidified his encouragement with a kiss to Swift's forehead.

"A toast to friends, family, and great allies. May we revel in this," Forsaken added calmly with a smile.

"Hallelujah!" Ace cheered, clinking her cup against Patrick's pizza crust.

"And the best to all of us!" Aether added optimistically as she and Andromeda exchanged nods and smiles.

Swift couldn't keep from blushing at Evan's kiss, but her fears were still etched plainly on her face. As the cheers and smiles went around, she could only throw her arms around Evan and bury herself in his sweatshirt. She could only hope it wasn't true. She could only hope she would never have to let go of him.

"This is Gospel!" Patrick absent-mindedly decreed as he toasted with Ace.

Jen smiled and shrugged at Darien. He sheepishly grinned back. The two embraced, knowing full well that with a mission as dangerous as this sounded, they needed to look out for each other as well.

Evan hugged Swift back, gently rocking her to soothe her rattled nerves. He knew she was scared for him. He was too. But he had already accepted that death was pretty much unavoidable. All he cared about was that Swift, Jen, Patrick, and everyone else he loved would not have to face it themselves.

Kendall shot everyone at the table a smile, his glance finally falling on Forsaken. The angel gave her a curt nod, as if to say that everything was going according to plan.
