Forsaken nodded. "Is this why you stole me away?" She asked as her hand reached up to the dragon's snout.

Other than a soft exhale, the dragon didn't respond when Forsaken asked this. It wasn't exactly sure how to. It just laid still next to her, staring up at the lyrics it had inscribed into the cave.
Its yellow eyes seemed to be losing their light.

Forsaken gently stroked the dragon's neck. "Don't loose hope big guy," she offered. A song softly escaped from her lips as she leaned against the great beast.

The dragon lifted its head slightly and stared into the outside world. Snow was starting to drift, but the cold was the least of its worries, and the siren would hopefully be warm sitting next to it, shielded from the nippy breeze and comforted by its heat. Her song once again did its part to ease its troubled mind and soul, and... it almost felt like... the hollow feeling in its chest was starting to heal... letting it know that its existence was not as meaningless as it had thought...
A bond... forming...
It waited for Forsaken to finish, the song leaving it feeling warm and content. It looked down at her, still looking sad, but also quite touched. Grateful. Perhaps even attentive.
And then... it spoke.
"Tell me..." As one would've expected, the dragon's voice was very deep and gruff, but also very meek and wise... possibly even a bit young. "What do they refer to you as?"

Forsaken blinked. The dragon had spoken and it was speaking English. "I am called Forsaken. It's a mantle I took up several moons ago. Some have called me the Sacrificial Witch, and others have known me as the Witch of Blood," she offered.

"Interesting..." the dragon mused, nodding slowly. Its eyes glowed with a warmth that they hadn't possessed before. "Though I must ask... Forsaken... what has led you to take up such a title?"

"I messed up really bad and gave up my original name.... I didn't deserve to have that name... So I took an old character's name," she replied as she pulled her knees up to her chest. "My birth name is Elizabeth...."

"I see..." The dragon curled up slightly, fully but loosely surrounding Forsaken in its warmth; a comforting gesture, not a possessive one. "Forced to take up a new title to atone for past mistakes. That is quite... tragic..."
It stared up dejectedly at the lyrics carved into the wall. Despite the underlying growl in its voice, its words were full of nothing but sincerity and sympathy. Nonetheless, it wasn't quite sure how to feel. If anything, the emotion that dominated its thoughts was envy. Of course Forsaken's story was sad, but at least she HAD a story.

Forsaken nodded. "Yes," she offered. "Would you like me to sing again?'"

The dragon swallowed once, then it nodded again, trying its best to pull itself together. "Y-Yes... Please..."

Forsaken nodded as she took a breath. A smile graced her lips as a giggle escaped.
She sung even with the silly voices.

At first, the dragon simply observed, just as it had any other time Forsaken sang. After a while, though, the upbeat tune and humorous inflections got it to smile. Then, as the song went on and neared the end, it had to laugh, greatly amused by her performance.
"Hahahaha...! Oh, that was splendid! My dear, for one so somber and with a voice so dulcet, you do have quite the sense of humor. That is a quality well worth having."

"I have to have some sort of light in the dark. A warped sense of humor helps a bit," she offered.

"A fair point." The dragon nodded, still smiling with delight. "Any excuse to laugh now and then is good for the body and mind."
Its grin widened as it closed its eyes and rested its head on its arms. "I cannot begin to describe how wonderful this evening has been."

"It's been kinda terrifying for me. I got siren-napped or is it witch-napped?" she offered. "Though meeting a dragon is still a cool thing for me. My home didn't have them except in fairy tales and legends..."
