"Yes, I... I suppose I should apologize..." The dragon open its eyes and looked away, its expression turning sad again. "If I do say so myself, it would seem that I've mostly been acting on impulse. Ever since this strange fog covered the land, I... haven't quite been... myself..."
It turned its head around so Forsaken couldn't see its eyes. "If this makes up for anything, I suppose I......"

She nodded. "It's my first fog too. My counterpart that lived here before me, she'd been through several. A siren but never attracted a dragon's attention," she offered to the large beast. She patted what she could reach in sympathy.

"If that counts for something, I suppose that's good to know..." the dragon sighed. It then trailed off, leaving an unsettling silence punctuated only by the wind whistling through the cave's icy mouth.
At the very least, it was calm. Simply talking to Forsaken seemed to ease its nerved almost as well as hearing her sing. Even if that emptiness was still there, albeit partially healed, the dragon was at least content. And it would be content to just stay like this for as long as it could, but...

Forsaken hummed softly with her captor near by. The siren was shivering in the cold silence of the cave before snuggling closer.

The dragon took a deep breath and curled up tighter, hoping to shield Forsaken from the chilly air with its warm embrace. It allowed itself to relax, soothed by her humming, retaining just enough alertness to keep a close guard over its treasure.
No... As precious as she might've been to it, that word sounded a bit too demeaning. Forsaken wasn't just an object to be horded. She was a very kind and generous young lady that the dragon was grateful to have in its company.
............
It was afraid again. Afraid of inevitable separation...

"Should we come another time, or..."
Ragnarok poked his head into visible space outside the cave, making it perfectly clear Crona had been nearby the whole time. "...We got lost in the snowstorm and followed the singing, but then you two started getting along," Crona offered, peeking in.

"Say after all this is over, you wanna hang out? I don't song that well outside the fog," she offered. Her attention turned to the new pair. She padded the spot next to her.

"Y... Yes... Yes, that sounds rather..."
The dragon trailed off and looked up as Crona and Ragnarok made themselves known. The expression it stared at them with was hard to explain. There wasn't any hostility; it seemed more annoyed by the interruption than anything else. Then it turned away and stared at the lyrics on the wall again, frustration masking its despondency.

Crona walked up to the dragon, patting its scales. "I never had the intention of hurting someone the mistress likes," they offered, walking over to Forsaken's pat spot. "I just wanted to make sure everything would up alright..."

"You can finish your thought, friend. I would like to know if you'd be interested," she offered before shivering. "Curse thin fabrics and the fact this outfit is made of them."

The dragon twitched slightly, not exactly comfortable with Crona touching it. It didn't have nearly the same level of trust with them as it did with Forsaken.
Still, in response to her comment, it loosened up its tense form and offered Forsaken a nod, opting to resume nonverbal communication.

Crona brought their hand back, frowning a bit. "...if I'm making someone uncomfortable, I could go," they offered, sighing.

Forsaken shivered. "The more people we have in this cave the warmer it'll get," she offered.

The dragon said nothing on the matter. It might not have been fond of Crona, but it didn't want to do anything to upset Forsaken. So it just sat there, staring at the wall and reading its inscription over and over.

Crona sat next to her, looking around. "...it's a nice cave," they offered.
