Ace snickered as she landed and Patrick made his over-the-top introduction. "Good to see you too, Kendall." She then grinned at Alex and Ryan. "Ace. Pat and I were just checking out the neighborhood on behalf of our friend. Wanted to get a feel for what he was getting himself into and see if there was any firsthand intel we could find for him. Not much luck there, but hey, it was still interesting to explore!"

.... Alex couldn't help but smile at the two new characters, uncrossing his arms and putting himself more at ease. "Alex. Thief of Void. And the guy behind me is Ryan, Seer of Heart." With that said, he stretched a bit and looked to Ryan. "Go on Ryan, don't worry any. These guys don't look bad or anything. And I can assure you that if they were, I'd be going around kicking some serious ass right about now."
He chuckled a bit at this before shrugging to the two. "I'm sorry. Ryan here can be shy sometimes. He's cool though."

Ryan shakily took a step forward, gulping as he eyed the unfamiliar pair. "Uh... It's... um... Wait, did you call us chess people?" Ryan asked, glaring. "I know I'm pale, but I don't think I'm that pale..."

"Gotta be around here somewhere..." Evan murmured as he scoped the battlefield from his bird's eye view. Between searching for Kendall and the fun he was having flying around, he was still completely oblivious to Lagola's rigid terror that had yet to ebb. "So, uh... Something's been bugging me. How did I end up with the Paramount Key again? Last I saw it, Alex took it from me."
"K-Kendall..."
"Yeah, I guess that's as solid an answer as any."
"N-No, I mean he's right there!"
Evan looked ahead, noticing some specks in the distance that vaguely resembled people. He took only a moment to study them, the details falling into place rather quickly. "Hey, it is him! And... Patrick and Ace?? Wow! What're they doing here?!"
Excited to be reunited with his friends, Evan began his descent onto the checkered landscape...

"Ah, no worries!" Patrick laughed, giving the thief and seer two thumbs up and a giant grin. "And no, you guys ain't chess guys, not like all those other guys we saw just standing around here doing nothing! After being around them statues, it's nice to find some sentient life in this vortex of what-the-crapery."
Kendall snickered at Patrick's enthusiastic babbling. "Well, even if it didn't lead to much, I really am glad to see you two here." He quickly checked the lotus capsule, its timer minutes away from reaching zero. Then he looked to the sky.

As he rocketed towards the battlefield, hot on the hare's trail, the indigo-blooded troll couldn't help but notice a particular cloud that he soared past on the way down. One that bore an all-too familiar face that instantly filled him with caliginous fury.
"Son. Of. A. B****."

Ace smirked at her old friend and elbowed him in the arm. "You should be. You knew it was coming. And seriously, after you drop this mission on us and then disappear for MONTHS, I think a reunion is warranted by now."
She then shrugged at the duo and happily continued, "But yeah, that's why we're here. What about you guys?"

Alex looked down at the question... He could easily lie and state that he came here looking for Ryan... But curse his raising, lying had never really been a strong suit of his. "Well, uh... You see-... That's-" He wasn't really able to come up with anything off the top of his head that would count as some kind of half-truth. The past three days hadn't really been days he was proud of. Both because of losing himself to the Horror Terrors once more and... Well... Everything that followed soon after.
However, before he could continue at any point, two things immediately came to his attention. Firstly a massive spike in energy quickly approaching the surface of Skaia... And second... As he was looking around, he saw a familiar figure fast approaching. The familiar one wore dorky yellow pajamas.....
AS WAS COMMONPLACE FOR PROSPIT DREAMERS....
".... So... Beth was telling the truth after all...." If he got any looks, he would simply point at the rapidly approaching duo.

"Yeah, we're all buddies here, right?" Patrick cheered. "So what's up?"
"HEY GUYS!"
Patrick whipped around just in time to see his best friend swoop in and land just a few yards away. "EVAN!" He then ran up and playfully clashed against him. "HEY MAN, WHAT'RE YOU DOING HERE?"
Evan laughed a bit. "Well, I woke up on Prospit, made a new friend... thought we'd come down here, check the place out and find Kendall!"
"Awesome! Sweet PJs, dude!"
"Thanks! Woke up like this. Haha..."
"So, who's your friend there?"
"Oh, this is..." Evan looked down at the troll in his arms, his smile turning blank with confusion. Her eyes were wide, her teeth were gritted, and her body was stiff yet lightly trembling, all signs of her state of panic. It also started to occur to Evan that her arms wrapping around his neck were starting to strangle him.
"OH! Oh, Lagola, I'm sorry!" He finally set her down, allowing Lagola to curl up and practically embrace the ground beneath her. "I-I didn't mean to scare you! I'm sorry!"
Lagola didn't respond, simply taking her sweet time to recover from her near heart attack.
Kendall was quick to kneel down next to Lagola and gently brush her hair. "It's okay, Lagola... You're alright..."

"What...?" Ace turned to see what everyone else was seeing. When she realized who was approaching them, her initial reaction was bafflement. "Is that Evan? I-Is he flying??"
Sure enough, Evan landed next to the group, carrying an unfamiliar and clearly very shaken little girl of a species Ace had never seen before. She gave the boys their reunion and the girl –Lagola, apparently– time to recover, taking this moment to process this new development. Eventually she smiled at Evan and cheerfully stated, "Well... wow! This is new! We really need to discuss what we've all been doing lately! Heheh... Sorry about disappearing on ya, Ev, but hey... now you know where we've been."

Alex however remained silent as Evan, Kendall and the others checked on Lagola... He looked a little uncomfortable in fact as he looked away, crossing his arms...
It looked like the poor kid couldn't relax in the slightest at that moment.

Ryan hid behind Gantz, watching the new guy approach. He... seemed familiar, but Ryan had a hard time recalling who exactly he was... Was he even part of his session? Must have been if he looked familiar... "H-hi..."

Evan rubbed Lagola's back as she shakily sat back up. "Hey... You alright there?"
Lagola sniffled and leaned against Kendall for support. She knew that Evan hadn't meant to frighten her like that, and while she did at least confirm that with a soft "U-Uh-huh..." she was just glad to be with her angel again.
"Good. Sorry again." Evan gave Kendall a small grin. "So you've been helping her out, huh?"
"Yes... She's been helping me just as much," Kendall replied, hugging and slowly rocking Lagola.
"Nice." Evan then cast a wider grin at Patrick and Ace. "Yeah, I was wondering about that! You guys checking out the Medium, huh?"
"Sure thang!" Patrick laughed. "Didn't think we'd find anyone at this rate, let alone you! And how'd you do that? The whole flying thing?"
"Oh! Well, I'm actually still on the island and controlling this dream body in my sleep!"
"Like in Avatar?"
"Kinda, yeah! And I figured that since this is all kinda like a dream for me, I don't have to follow real-world logic!"
"SWEETCAKES! When do I get a dream logic avatar?!"
"I'unno. Can't you fly anyway?"
"Van can, I can't."
"Well, obviously!" Evan laughed before leaning over slightly to turn his smile on the two god tiers. "Hi, new guy! Hey, Alex! How're you doing, buddy?"

While Evan and Patrick conversed, Ace got down on one knee to meet Lagola's eye level, smiling softly and politely. "Hey there. I'm Ace. That's Patrick. It's nice to meet you, Lagola."
She smirked at Kendall out of the corner of her eye. "You've been busy, huh? Making all kinds of new friends."

............ .................... .................................. Buddy-?... But... This guy... KNEW what he did right? Was it-... No, no wait. Those two new guys knew Kendall and knew Evan. Usually knowing both of them meant knowing the Evan he disliked... Well... Not really disliked so much as distrusted... At the very least, Alex was expecting some disdain, dislike... He was almost expecting Evan to punch him on sight. This reaction COMPLETELY caught him off guard. Buddy-??Alex.... Couldn't really... Figure out HOW to react to Evan's greeting outside of looking at him like he grew a second head, a tail, a set of wings and could suddenly shoot rainbows out of his ass. Because it would take about THAT much to get him to think ANYTHING is weird anymore, aside from this. He obviously knew how HE would've reacted if someone had taken... Well... Ryan, Beth, Arti or....
