No! Absolutely not! He was not cold! He was.... just not warm. Ranuen liked the warm. But he'd never been to a snowy region. The only snow or ice he'd ever seen were from engagements back home with snow or ice mages. He'd wanted to see a place like this for a long time. And he'd heard of a lot of interesting sights to see in the North. This mountain was just the first stop for him. Next he'd planned on going to the village of igloos. There was supposed to be a hot spring there, and geeze, after this, Ranuen could really use it. What even was an igloo anyways? He'd never heard of such things. Was it a creature of some kind? A monster? Oooo. A village of monsters! That could be a real adventure!
But first he had to conquer this bloody, frigid mountain.
Ranuen very, VERY quickly found that snow did not agree with him at all. The good news, was that, with his extremely small size, he actually didn't have enough weight to fall through the snow where it was packed in well. The bad news was that even a light gust of wind that blew snow his way, may as well have been an avalanche. Also, Ranuen didn't have winter clothes. The closest thing to that he was wearing was a long sleeved shirt today. A thin, long sleeved shirt. Whoops. "W-why th-th-the hell did this place h-have to be so frickin' c-c-c-c-cold." He chattered on the mountain. He'd exhausted a considerable supply of his magic getting even partway of the mountain, and no longer had the reserves to return to his original height. He was stuck in his shrunken form for the whole ride down. And it was gonna be a long one.
"Oh shit!" Ranuen suddenly exclaimed as he hit a particularly powdery batch of snow, and fell right through as if it were quick sand. Getting completely buried in snow could be lethal if he didn't make it out quickly. Fortunately, Ranuen was well-equipped and had just the right magic for the job. Drawing out his sword, he produced a sudden gout of flame that leapt up out of the snow, melting it instantly, and allowing Ranuen to jump free. This wasn't the first time he'd had to do this. The only thing he didn't like is that, small as he was, those blasts of flame would still be certainly noticeable and could draw unwanted attention.

"Smm y're shr w're gnnuh fnd hrr hrr?"
"Maybe, maybe not. It just makes sense that she would be here." Paul smiled down at his companion, hands in his coat pockets and wind whipping his blue locks. "I dunno, call me curious."
"Cll yh mm lud mhr dn dhd," Kenny teased, his speech muffled by the hood of his parka.
The cold mountains hardly fazed the duo. Paul had a high tolerance for extreme temperatures and Kenny was well used to mountains, having grown up in the South Park basin in a house that sometimes did and sometimes didn't have heat. As such, they marched through the frigid snow with relative ease, searching about for... for lack of a better term, a friend of Paul's. The last time he had seen her here was under bizarre circumstances, so he felt that maybe he should check up on her, hoping she would appreciate a familiar face.
The dragon man took a deep breath, smiling at the glistening peaks. "Been a while since I've been here. Not since the fog..."
"Ymh! Bd ehrydng lhks mm lud bhggr nhw, hmm?"
"Ha! Yeah, ya got that right- Whoa!"
"Whh! Whd dh f***?!"
Paul and Kenny certainly hadn't expected a burst of flames to suddenly erupt from the frozen earth, simultaneously jumping back as they watched the spectacle from a few yards away.

A good ways away from Paul and Kenny, the 13 inch tall sprite was currently in the middle of a fight with a massive beast- some might call it a polar bear, but it seemed to also have traits of a boar. She was familiar with the sight of this beast, it was a common predator on her world.
Or in her case, common prey.
Regardless of the beast's origins, it lunged straight at the sprite, the four foot beast dwarfing her easily. A gathering of spiraling ice appeared in her hands, the sprite eagerly blasting the charging beast with massive spikes of ice moments later. Being that it lived in an icy environment, you'd think it would have resisted her attacks... but only slowed down as she blasted it into submission. With a gleeful roar of victory, she jumped toward it, finishing it off.
----
An awful lot had happened since she wandered toward the northern half of the island. She had discovered a small village of large people, for one- and subsequently attacked and slayed something that the village had been living in fear of. She was since seen as a local guardian, being given so-called "offerings" to ensure that she might be happy or stay there.
She appreciated the thought, but she was a hunter in the end. And currently this tiny hunter was heaving her current catch through the snow, trying to find a safe place to eat at it.
She stopped, her ears flicking as she sniffed with a non-existent nose. She smelt something new... it was warm, it smelled odd. What was this?
She left her prey of the day behind, running her way toward this off smelling stimuli.

Ranuen used the newfound space he'd just created for himself to leap/scramble out of what could have been a snowy prison for himself. He coughed a bit on the water he had just created, which flowed in to fill the space he'd been just moments before. "I... really. Hate. Snow." He growled out. "When I'm done here, I'm never coming back!" He exclaimed, shaking the excess water off of him. "Great. This'll be ice in no time..." He added unhappily. Now he'd have to exert even more magical power to keep the water from freezing. Only then did Ranuen notice he wasn't as isolated here as he'd thought. In fact there were two people nearby One of them he couldn't make much of, due to the fact that his body was almost completely obscured by the parka he wore. Hell, Ranuen had even lost his ability to really tell height at his current size. Everyone was a colossus compared to him, only in extreme cases like Yugi did he notice notable height differences. The other guy was a lot more distinct. Probably because he was a giant blue lizard-man. In fact Ranuen might have even recognized him from the Club awhile back. Or maybe that was another one? Was this like... a species here? Or was he an exceptional being even here (he certainly would have stuck out like a sore thumb back home). Either way. His little escape seemed to have attracted their attention.
"Ah crap."

"Mmkhy, 'm nht dh hnly wn sng dhss, mm hh?" Kenny mumbled in confusion as he watched a tiny speck emerge from the puddle that the dissipated flames had created.
"No, you're... definitely not the only one," Paul replied, crouching down to get a better look.
He wasn't sure what he was expecting to discover as he studied this tiny thing, but it certainly wasn't distinctly human features. So consider him dumbfounded when that was exactly what he found. "Oh! Hi there!"

The little sprite trudged along in the snow, seemingly not bothered by the copious amounts of powder in the least. It took little time for her to catch up to the odd smell that had permeated through the bitter cold, and when she had finally gotten close...
Her deep blue eyes sparkled.
"PAUL FRIEND!" she cheered, bouncing along after him.

Ranuen groaned as he saw the lizard guy kneel down to get a better look at him. He sheathed his sword and put his arms around himself and decided to try his best not to shiver from the freezing cold. And hope the individuals who had just found him weren't carnivorous or anything, because right now, he acknowledged, he didn't have the magical strength to defend himself. "Err.... yeah, hi." He grudgingly responded to Paul. "D-didn't think there were other people around here."
Ranuen then heard a loud voice exclaim something nearby. Oh come on! A third person!? This voice sounded female. It had yelled Paul.... was it referring to either of the people who'd found him? Ranuen took an instant to look around the snowy landscape for the source of the voice. His flame in the snow pit had been quenched, but the water in the pit was still steaming from the heat.

"Mmh... Whd dh s***?" Kenny still had yet to realize what the speck really was. "Rr yh tlkng t' hd?"
Paul was about to respond to Ranuen when he heard someone call his name. He turned around, smiling as the sprite approached. "Hey you!"
As he waited for her to join them, he looked back down and continued, "Yeah, Kenny and I were out here looking for her. Didn't mean to alert ya. So, uh... What're you doing this far up north? Without better protection?"

The tiny sprite hugged the dragon-man's pants-leg, giving off adorable little trills before she eyed Ranuen. Being just a little over a foot tall, she was far close to the man's scale, which let her pick out a few key features on his body. But at her side, she was still thirteen times his height, so her appearance was just as scary as anyone else's. She slowly approached him, eyeing his puddle of water. "...you make warm," she noted, reaching in to pick him up.
Regardless of his feelings on the matter, he was soon placed on her head. While a sprite's body is primarily composed of the element they represent, some parts of their body won't necessarily exhibit that same feature. So fortunately for the tiny man, her hair was made with normal fibers, and actually quite warm.

Ranuen's feelings when the sprite came into his field of vision was mixed. On the one hand, it was unusual and refreshing to find someone a little closer to his size. Someone where he could actually come up past their ankles. If only barely. On the other hand, it was disconcerting to find that someone that was so small compared to everyone else, STILL towered above him. But at least he could make out her face and features from here, more easily than the other two. "Huh? Oh, you mean the fire? Yeah, I can mak--" Ranuen was cut off as the sprite picked him up. That he was a little more uncomfortable with. He'd been picked up on more than one occasion of course, but usually it was under one of three scenarios. With his consent, with someone offering him a hand to climb onto, or by a curious bystander/someone who wasn't planning on being nice. The latter of those three options rarely sat well with him, but it wasn't as though he had much choice, as despite some token resistance, the sprite was able to lift him up quite easily.
And in the next moment he was on her head. Most of Ranuen's instincts told him to go ahead and leap back off, but the warmth of the sprite's hair made him reconsider... for the moment at least. He'd finally managed to stop having to prevent himself shivering and was just able to... not shiver. He gave an awkward sideways glance. "W-well... thanks I guess. It's warmer up here at least." But the blue guy was talking too, and Ranuen decided to give him an answer. "Well... I've never seen snow before. Figured it'd be something pretty interesting to check out. Plus I felt like an adventure. But... I kinda got stranded up here, and it's been a long way down from the summit." Yeah, somehow Ranuen had made it to the mountain's summit. He was not particularly good at thinking things through. Let alone the way back. "Well.... guess you succeeded then." He added in response to the comment about Paul's own goals, looking down now at the sprite upon who's head he was perched. "So... uhh... who is this?" At least they didn't seem a bad sort, so far.

"Oh. Yeah, I guess I can understand that sort of curiosity," Paul offered. "But... wow, you made it all the way up here? Jeez, glad we found ya. Wouldn't want you to freeze to death out here."
Kenny tilted his head and raised an eyebrow, still somewhat confused by the goings on.
"But yeah, like I said, this is my buddy Kenny, and I'm Paul. Her...?" Paul smiled awkwardly and rubbed his neck. "Honestly, we never did catch your name, little cutie."
"Yh, prbly wd've bhhn nhce t' knhw rght ff dh bht," Kenny muttered.

She simply stared. Blankly, her white pupils expanding in confusion. ".....Name? Not have one," she gulped.

Ranuen grimaced. "I'd... I'd have been fine, I'm sure. I'd have worked something out!" Maybe some kind of makeshift hang glider that'd get him more lost, anyways. But hell. At least he wouldn't be lost on the mountain! "Also. Hi Kenny... I guess." Ranuen stated. Then looked down at the sprite. "You... don't have a name?" He asked, in surprise. He glanced back at Paul and Kenny, as if this was a normal thing for sprites. They seemed to know more about the person than he did. Then again. They had just expressed that they didn't know her name.... ugh, this was confusing. "Why would anyone want to come up somewhere so friggin' cold. Outside of people like me who've never been somewhere like this before?"

"Oh..." Paul was taken aback slightly, not expecting such a response. "I-I see..."
His awkward smile still prevalent, Paul sat down and continued, "Well... it would probably help to have something to call you, but I'd hate to stick you with a name you don't like." He chuckled a little, his gaze shifting up slightly to look at Ranuen. "Also hate to get you mixed up in our business... Heheh... Least we can do is get you someplace warm."
Kenny stayed quiet. He seemed to be mulling something over.

She pointed in a direction that led away, but not toward Void city. "Village, she cheered, soon smiling. "Not mind name. I'd like!" Her primitive way of speaking was somewhat endearing, at least, the small sprite happily wiggling a bit.
