Forests... lots and lots of trees. Was this where they were supposed to end up?
Shaking his head slightly from the rough landing, Silas picked himself off the ground. "Well... that could've gone smoother. Where am I?"
...He was alone. He realized that shortly afterward. "...Huh? Corrin? Corrinne?! Wait, where's my horse? Franz?!"
Silas called out a few more times. "...How did I wind up here alone?" At least he still had his weapons. That was a relief.

Meanwhile, slightly off from where Silas had landed...
Kaze pulled himself up, groaning slightly from the rough landing, dusting himself off. Patting himself down, he didn't seem to sustain any major injuries. His Steel Shuriken and the Vulnerary potion were still intact as well...
"That... could have been smoother..."
A glance around revealed that he was all alone in a forest. "Is this where Lord Corrin and Lady Corrinne said we would land?"
He turned his head, hearing a familiar voice... Though the forest's natural din kept Kaze from pinpointing exactly WHO. Kaze could have sworn he heard something trotting around, too... "Just where is this place...?"

Silas groaned softly. "Franz, I know you're around here, get back here..."
He could hear his horse faintly. Dusting his armor off, Silas began to make his way through the trees, keeping a hand on the hilt of his Silver Sword. He had the feeling he wasn't alone, but he couldn't quite shake it... and he didn't know why.

Crunch.
Kaze tightened his grip on the Steel Shuriken upon hearing the twig snap. Whatever broke it, it sounded heavy...
Crunch. Crunch. Crunch.
It sounded like a horse. "... Silas? Are you in here?"
No response. Just silence. "I suppose not."

Silas heard a voice. A somewhat familiar voice. "Hello?!" He called out, hearing the crunching. "Gah, Franz, c'mon. Usually you come when I call..."
The knight began hurrying along the path at a brisker pace, his armor clanking a bit as he ran.

Clank clank clank clank.
Crunch crunch crunch CRUNCH.
Kaze froze on the spot. The clanking sound belonged to something (or someONE) in heavy armour... And he felt hot breath on his neck.
"GAH!!!" A few birds and other small animals could be seen scattered from the yell.
The green-haired man whipped around, finding that the source of the hot breath...
Belonged to a brown horse with some blue and dark grey armour. Kaze couldn't help but find this horse familiar, and sighed in relief. "What are you doing here? I'm sure your rider is surely looking for you..."
Kaze gave a short chuckle and grabbed Franz by the reins, pulling the horse along. "Come along."
Though he still wasn't sure as to what caused the clanging...

Silas certainly heard that yell. "Hey, that's-"
He ran ahead some more, stopping when he saw the green-clad ninja and his horse. "Kaze! You found Franz; thank you." He walked up, a little more slowly. "I was starting to worry."
Taking the reins from the ninja, he pet the horse's nose gently. "...Okay, I'm not going to lie, when Corrin and Corrinne talked about this place we had to go, I was kinda expecting something a little more... I dunno. Mystical? Am I the only one who feels that way?"

"Indeed," Kaze responded, looking slightly uneasy. "From what Lord Corrin, Lady Corrinne, and Lady Azura were able to tell us beforehand, I got the impression that the world below the Bottomless Canyon would be rather... surreal, to say the least. And yet..."
The ninja paused, and took in the seemingly-normal forest. "This world seems completely mundane; almost unsettlingly so, in fact."

Silas nodded, looking around. "You're right. This whole place is really unsettling. I'd say we should try to find the others but I have no idea where they are... and no clue where the nearest town is. I'm glad that we at least were able to meet back up."

"Indeed, I am glad to have run into you," Kaze said, "Rather than one of those invisible soldi-"
The ninja and cavalier would hear the sounds of something clanging, and something heavy running... It sounded like Franz, only bigger...
"... Weapons out, do you reckon?"

"...Yeah." Silas drew his sword, hopping on his horse's back. "...I can take point, if you want."
It was getting closer, it sounded like. What an odd sound...

"Ready when you are. Lead the way, Silas."
The pair advanced into the woods, weapons out...
"I don't see any signs of the invisible soldiers... No tracks, no distortions..."
CRUNCH. CRUNCH.
A black figure, larger than even Franz, stood in sight of the ninja and cavalier.
"I've only seen this horse once, but I can't help but find it familiar..."

Silas held his sword, looking at the black figure. "...What the...?" He blinked. "...That's..."

The black figure glanced down at Kaze and Silas, eyeing the pair from between its head armour...
It gave a loud neigh, rearing up on its hind legs, easily towering over them. The cavalier and the ninja both took a step back and tensed up...
The black horse then turned around and ran, its clanging slowly dying...
Kaze held his breath for a moment before sharply exhaling, allowing his body to relax slightly. "False alarm."

"...I think that was Lord Xander's horse." Silas blinked. "...We probably should've tried to catch it. Oh well... I'm sure it'll come back eventually. Let's... keep going."
As they continued on the path, eventually, there was a loud snapping sound of a branch nearby. Silas yelped, nearly falling off his horse.
