That feeling of falling was kind of scary, but Sakura had to admit that it wasn't as strange a feeling as this... almost oppressive heat. How odd...
Groaning softly, the Shrine Maiden sat up, looking around. The tree canopy was fairly thick, and the wind was heavy with moisture. "Where... are we...? Is this the place that big brother and big sister were talking about...?" It was only then that she realized who was with her... that is, almost nobody. "...Big brother? Big Sister? Hana? Subaki?"
Sakura grasped her Sun Festal tightly, looking around. "...Where is everyone?"

"Whoa!"
The Troubadour landed with a soft thud, then pulled herself into a sitting position. It was... awfully hot and oppressive here...
Elise looked around, spotting heavy tree coverage. Her pigtails slightly drooped from the moisture... She guessed that this was the place Corrin and Corrinne had talked about...
She pulled herself to her feet, clutching her Mend staff. "Hello? Is anybody here? Big brother? Big sister? Effie? Arthur? Clarine?"

She recognized that voice. Hurrying over, Sakura called out. "Elise?! Elise, is that you?"
Thank the gods, a familiar face. "Are you alright?" This place was so odd...

"Sakura!"
She saw the other girl run towards her, and Elise was relieved to see a familiar face. "I'm alright, what about you?"
Noting the lack of injuries on Sakura, Elise still kept her eyes on her. "Where are we? It's so... hot! And... And... I dunno... Corrin and Corrinne made this place sound really weird! But it looks really normal to me..."

"They did... I'm glad you're unhurt. ...I don't know where the others are. I haven't seen anyone else, either... it's just us here, I think. I haven't even seen any towns or anything."
Trying her best to ignore the heat, Sakura put a hand over her forehead, trying to scout the area out somewhat. "I... suppose Corrin and Corrinne were right, though. I've never seen any place quite like this. The forest of Mokushu wasn't nearly this humid..."

Elise put a hand to her forehead as well, trying to find something. There was the distant sound of something clanging...
And something in a strange purple mist.
"Um, Sakura..." Elise pointed to the misted figure in question. "What's that?"

Sakura stiffened up as she saw the mist. "...Oh no. Elise, these... these are the invisible soldiers. The ones that Corrin and Corrinne talked about. They're..."
They were coming closer. This wasn't good. "We might have to fight..."

It looked like a Spear Fighter. Sakura pulled out her Brass Yumi from her inventory, pulling back the bowstring... or, at least, attempting to. She grimaced, pulling... yelping as her hand was snapped by the string, cutting it. "Ah! Ow..."
What was going on? Why couldn't she fire her bow?

Elise gasped, seeing the blood come from the other princess's palm. "Sakura!"
She took a step in front of Sakura, trembling slightly, drawing her Fire tome out. She just needed to knock it back a step...
Elise mumbled the incantation for the spell... But nothing happened...
"Oh... Oh no...!! It's not working!!"
Trembling more, Elise put the book away and pointed her Mend staff at Sakura's hand. She mumbled the incantation... Mercifully, this seemed to work. "At least... My staff still seems to work? Sakura, we've gotta run!"

This was bad. Very bad. Sakura nodded thankfully to Elise as she was healed, grabbing a Festal and turning as the Vallites gave chase to the princesses. She began to run through the thick underbrush...
"Where can we even run? We don't know where this is... And... they're everywhere..."

Elise kept pace with Sakura, both girls looking for somewhere to run... somewhere to hide...
She spotted what appeared to be a clearing in the trees. Grabbing Sakura's arm, she pulled the other princess towards what appeared to be the start of some kind of city. "C'mon! This way! There might be somebody here who can help us!"
There was the distant sound of something heavy crashing down, followed by somebody screaming.

The source of that sound groaned as he picked himself up off the ground, moving one of his ears out of his face. Yarne groaned weakly, shaking his head. "Urgh... where...?"
The Taguel looked around, feeling the humidity soaking into his body. "Rrf. This doesn't feel good... is this where Dad ended up...?"
That sound... that sounded like a battle. Yarne could feel his legs stiffening already just at the thought. Shivering, he sniffed at the air. Something smelled odd, but... there were two who didn't smell like that. Was that blood?
"H-Huh? What's...?"
As he began hurrying towards the battlefield, he could faintly hear someone shouting.
Sakura stumbled a bit as Elise pulled her. She could hear a Paladin closing in; hear him bringing back his blade. This was bad...
"YAAAH!"
She fell to the ground, hearing something slamming the Paladin to the ground. "What...?"
She turned... and blinked. That was the biggest rabbit she'd ever seen.
"A-Are you alright?!"
Sakura was too dumbfounded to speak.

Elise was briefly struck dumb by the presence of the big bunny. "Oh...!"
It quickly faded, however, the Troubadour hugging what she could of Yarne. "We're okay now, thanks to you! Thank you so very much!"
There was a distant clanging sound, followed by the sound of something heavy being picked up and thrown. A Bow Knight notched an arrow, seemingly taking aim at the unexpected arrival instead of the two princesses.
"Look out!"
Elise stood next to Yarne, and one could feel a warm aura coming off the blonde princess...

Yarne noticeably stiffened as Elise hugged him. He wanted to respond how he normally would... but visions of his little sister crossed his mind and he just couldn't bring himself to reprimand the Troubadour. As she stood, Sakura joined her, and the warm aura only seemed to strengthen.
*No Damage!*
The arrow just seemed to bounce off of the rabbit's skin. Yarne blinked... then began chuckling. "Eheheh... I won't run... Stay behind me, you two. I'll... I'll protect you!"
A blue flame-like aura began to swirl around Yarne as he stared down the Bow Knight.
Ignis
"Don't mess with a bunny!" With a yell, Yarne jumped high into the air, flipping a few times, before slamming down on the Bow Knight, utterly demolishing him. After that, he yelled out towards the soldiers. "Who else wants some?!"
Sure, part of his mind was screaming at him to run, but the Taguel forced those thoughts aside; he couldn't believe he was willingly drawing attention to himself, but he knew he was the only one there who could actually fight.
He didn't even flinch when a group of Sorcerers came. He did grimace a bit as he looked them over. "Urk... they look tougher than the others..."
Sakura looked around, trying to think of something she could do... wait. That light...
"Elise, is that...?" She pointed towards where she saw the blue light; it was very faint, but... "Is that a Dragon Vein?"

"I... I dunno! Only one way to find out!"
The two girls ran towards the blue light, and indeed, it was what Sakura suspected... A blue Dragon Vein.
"You were right! It is a Dragon Vein! But what does it do...?"
The Troubadour walked over to the blue light, closing her eyes and focusing...
Dragon Vein: Water
A rainstorm suddenly descended, though the rain curiously bypassed her, Sakura, and Yarne, only drenching the invisible soldiers...
[All stats -6 for the Vallites. (Recovers 1/turn)]

Meanwhile, in an area not too far away, a group of four were expressing their shared frustration at the sudden downturn of weather conditions.
That was neither here nor there, however. Yarne blinked slightly. "How did... never mind. You can tell me later."
The Taguel hurried on to the next, kicking one of the Sorcerers and sending him flying. With the Vallites' stats being reduced, Yarne was having a much easier time dealing with them as they came after him in waves.
