"Dis... You okay?" Beth asked as she went over to the shadow demon. "Yeah. Worked on a movie set with people playing him and Ladybug." It was a lie but it was some what believable given her main job.

Clearly, he didn't buy it, but he ignored it to pay more attention to his friend. He gently places a hand on his shoulder, hoping to pull him back from whatever darkness had consumed his mind so they could talk this out.

Disquietude let out a little squeak when Adrien grabbed his shoulder, then he went still and quiet. What was he supposed to do? His chances of having any kind of relationship with Adrien were practically already nil to begin with, but now... now there really was no hope for it, was there?
He fully submerged himself in shadow, slipped away from the two, then fully stood back up in the corner, rubbing his arm and averting his gaze. "I... L-Listen, I am putting myself at significant risk being here. I mean... i-if the other Præt'nos found out I was fraternizing with light-dwellers, the consequences would be...!" Well, he wasn't sure what they would be, but it chilled him to his core to consider.
"S-So, uh... I-I just feel... intrusive. I knew that coming here would be a bad idea from the start, but I don't wanna... like... um... I don't wanna detract from the, uh... situation you two are all mixed up in suddenly. I don't wanna be a burden..."

"Dis. You did what you thought was right and you wanted to make sure your friend was safe. You've not been a burden at all. If anything, I welcome your presence and if anything him and I switched abilities and age," Beth offered. "Besides you're a friend. Friends aren't burdens."

"Yeah, what she said." He chuckles lightly. "Who knows? We might get this all sorted out quickly, and we can all hang out together. I haven't really had time to relax since I got here, and things can only be more fun with friends, right?"

"Um..." Well, to be completely honest, following Adrien here wasn't so much a matter of doing what he though was right. If anything, this whole scenario felt completely wrong. He had simply been acting on a whim, going against orders and instinct in the process. And while yes, the thought of hanging out with Adrien sounded absolutely wonderful... he was clearly inviting Beth too, and no offense to her, but the idea made Disquietude feel even more like a third wheel. A third wheel with an utterly hopeless infatuation. "I dunno..."

"You can think of me more like a chaperone," she offered to the boys. "Besides I probably would be the one paying for things.... how do I get out of this? Not that the suit isn't cool.... I'm just not a fan of the green filter..."

Adrien stares at her in confusion for a moment before shaking his head and gesturing towards her. "Say 'Claws in'. Or use your Cataclysm and wait five minutes. And I think we can all find something to do for fun... once I find an umbrella or something to keep the light off Dis." He turns to look at the demon with a warm smile, only to jump when the bell to the store rings.
"H-hello? Is anyone there?" A voice calls out. "I... was wondering if you could help repair my jacket?"

"I-I don't know..." Disquietude wasn't even sure what he was trying to accomplish anymore, whether it was avoiding punishment from the Præt'nos or further humiliating himself in front of Adrien. Either way, their acceptance of him didn't make him feel any less like scum. Or a useless tag-along, at least.
"Y-You don't have to... I can just..." One of his ears perked when he heard someone enter the store. Almost immediately thereafter, Disquietude bolted beneath a desk and vanished into the shadows. Once he had, as if to simply emphasize that he was still here, his white eyes briefly appeared amongst the darkness, blinking nervously at Adrien before disappearing again.

"Claws in," Beth offered before going to heading out to the main shop. She was hoping by the time she got out there that she was in her usual form.
"How can I help?" she asked. Beth had forgotten she was still in Teen form.

She walks over to see someone in a tee shirt and shorts standing in the store, facing away from the counter. The short blue hair is quite noticeable, and when she turns to face Beth, emerald eyes widen in surprise as they see a girl younger than she is. "O-oh, hi. I needed to have my jacket fixed." She holds it up, revealing how there's a gash in the back. "Some dumb lizard thing ruined it... is your manager in?"
At the same time, Adrien kneels down next to the desk that the demon hid under. "Dis, are you okay? We can do something else, if you want. Maybe something you want?" He frowns, rubbing his chin. "...what all is there even to do around this island? I forgot to look into that."

"I-I just... don't really want anymore light-dwellers to see me..." Disquietude whispered from within the shadows. "Don't wanna... cause anymore trouble..."
His eyes shone in the darkness again, staring up at Adrien, then at nothing in particular. He still had no idea what to do. He knew deep down that he should go home, but he still... very much liked the idea of hanging out with Adrien. Of course, that meant either inviting Beth, which just made him feel more awkward, or leaving her out, which would've made him feel awful. Besides, what was there to accomplish anymore? His quest had been for naught. Adrien wasn't... didn't...
Disquietude sighed. "I don't know. What do you wanna do?"

"You're looking at her. And how do you want me to repair it. Patch, inlay, or just stitch it together... The last option might not guarantee it fitting," Beth noted. "And welcome to Dreams to Dust. Have to apologize to the mess..."

"It's... not really a big deal." She rubs the back of her head, glancing at the doorway to the rest of the mall. "I kinda... made a mess on my way over..." Clearing her throat, she gestures to the smaller girl. "Would an inlay be visible?"
"How about we figure that out together?" He thinks to himself for a second, then nods. "Yeah, we could ask Beth what she'd suggest, and then we can have fun together." He holds out a hand to him. "You're one of my only friends, here, and I really don't want to lose that for anything."

Disquietude was silent, anxiously mulling things over. Regardless of the circumstances surrounding it, going out with Adrien could've been fun, even if he hadn't the slightest idea what the two of them could do. Besides, the fact that Adrien thought of him as a friend after such little time together, more than he could've said for any Præt'nos... that spoke wonders to him.
Should he or shouldn't he...?
Well, truth be told, he probably shouldn't have, but...
"O-Okay..." A clawed, shadowy hand slowly emerged from under the desk and rested in Adrien's. His grip tightened as Disquietude started straining, gathering as much dark energy as he could and focusing it on his core. Soon enough, his dark form compressed and sealed itself within the human visage he had worn on his way in.
The silver-eyed boy crawled out into the open and stood up with Adrien's help. With a meek smile, his eyes on the floor and his hand rubbing his neck, Disquietude murmured, "I, uh... Y-You lead the way, I guess."
