Otto flinched a little, he wasn't freaking out for Double D's sake, but he successfully held in a wince of slight disgust. "Okay... I'll be the first to say, I did NOT see that one coming."
Wally, thankfully since he might HAVE freaked out at the sight, missed it. "Ah, you like your uncle Wally do you?" He said to little Marion, he then said to Double D, "Has she started learning to speak yet?"

"Erm... mildly. She likes to call out names."
"Hi, Daddy!!" Marion waved, having finally caught sight of her father. She smiled, as if what he appeared to be didn't deter her in the slightest.

"A special gift she must have," Masahiro said. "Screw the appearence, you're her daddy..." He snickered softly as he realized what that meant. "Of course that would make Felix the mommy."
Felix smirked. "Back then when you were taking care of that orphan... around 50 years ago I think, while you were still a Fallen... weren't you known as mommy?"
Masahiro's smile fell. "Touche monseiur," he replied.

A few snickers followed that, as well as a few eyerolls.
Growing emotional, Double D gave his daughter a watery smile, slowly approaching. He gently caressed her with the back of his fingers, taking care to keep his hooked claws away from her, to which she cooed and took his hand into hers, nuzzling it against her cheek very sweetly.
Double D couldn't hold back the tears that streamed down his face at her tenderness, and he tried to wipe them away when she allowed him to pull back.
"...f...forgive me, I..." He swallowed, facing the others. "...I need rest. For real this time." No one objected as he passed by Otto and Wally in his walk. "...please let me know if there's any development the search."

Otto nodded, "Of course."
Wally smiled widely, "Well ain't that something mate? Shape-shifted father and she didn't care." He cooed a little at the 'AWWWW' moment. "So heartwarming!"
Shrugging, Otto took a seat on the nearby couch. "I guess this explains what I felt from his aura not too long ago. I thought there might be a change, but not one THIS extreme."
"Tell me about it mate..." the boy shook his head, as he leaned against a nearby wall. "I feel so sorry for him."
Helga bowed her head. "As am I."

Fleetfoot nodded. "At least he has our support. It'd be even worse if he had been outcasted."
"Yeah..." Ed plopped down too, eyeing the bedroom door in worry.
"Wait..." Eddy sat up, noticing something. "What'd you say about his aura?"

Gently flopping down on his bed, Double D halfway submerged himself in blankets, his tired eyes peeking over his pillow and staring aimlessly at the wall. So much was happening at once, so much to contemplate... he found it hard to fall asleep, though he was mentally exhausted. He hardly even regarded his next change, his skin hardening slightly into flesh-colored scales.
(Okay, question! Here is when he'll start to be lured away to Lord Nida at the Creepy Castle. She's the one who wants his pure soul at the peak of the crystalization so she can recieve the maxium power from the devouring. But what other villians do you guys want to get involved? It doesn't really matter if Shinichi or Him or whoever, I just thought it'd be interesting if Nida was teamed up with someone)

Before Double D could fall asleep, there was a knock at the window. On the other side of it was Hammy, floating there, and looking somewhat competant for once.
"Angel... I know about your problems... What's really going on... Your friends, they have no idea. I went through the same thing you're going through, and then I never changed back... but I can help you out now. Trust me." Hammy said. He hoped that Double D, due to being half-asleep, wouldn't question him, and just follow blindly. Hopefully.

Outside Double D's room, Otto shook his head. "You see Double D came to visit us not too long ago, after a short visit we had to turn to the Hall of Records in order to find answers..." He groaned, "Shortly before we left for City Hall however, I sensed the slightest change in Double D. Heck, it was so small I probably would've missed it, if I hadn't given it second thought."
Wally sat down on the seat as well. "Otto has the ability to sense aura's." He chuckled as he pointed at the boy's nose, "He can smell em' like a blood hound!"
Helga giggled at this, while Otto chuckled dryly, "Hahaha, REAL funny..."

"A change in his aura, huh?" Raz rubbed his head in thought. "Makes sense. I'm still wondering how becoming a monster is part of it, though. That part doesn't seem to make much sense to me. There's gotta be a physical reason for it."

Half conscsious, Double D looked up slowly at the odd-looking, talking squirrel at his window. He stared at it for a few seconds, regarded it flatly.
"...great," he eventually muttered lethargically. "Hallucinations are a part of it too?"

"Hey!" Hammy shoved open the window, though not loud enough that the people in the other room would hear him. "Do you THINK a guy could get like this naturally?! I used to be an angel too, and then God thought it would be funny to make me go through that metamorphasis thing too! And since I didn't get someone to fix me while I was going through it, I got stuck in this form! And you'll be stuck in that... dragon... lizard... goblin form if you don't get some help!"

"......" Double D averted his gaze, wondering whether to trust this creature. He then looked over his mutated form, and finally, he sat up, regarding Hammy levelly.
"...you're saying you can help me?"

"Of course! Why would I lie? But we gotta hurry if we're going to do this; we only have a small window of time to turn you back! So let's go, come on!"
And with that, Hammy dropped down. This was easier than I thought it would be... he didn't even question why I was there!

It wasn't that he wasn't wondering why; he just thought it'd be rude to ask such a question.
Hesitantly, he rose from the bed, staring between the window and the door. Would it be wise to let the others know?
...no. This was his ordeal. Maybe a test he had to endure. That meant on his own. He didn't want to burden them any further.
Still cautious, he glanced out the window and watched Hammy approach the woods. Bringing out his wings, he climbed out and floated down with some difficulty.

Masahiro's eyes moved to the room. He's leaving... I can feel it... But he may just want to think things through. I don't know whether I should tell the others or not... Best to let them find out on their own.
"I didn't sense any changes in his aura though," Felix said. "What are you guys talking about?"

"Hmmmm..." That made Otto think, "You know... Your right..." He turned to Felix, "When I sensed his aura again today... I didn't feel it either... Strange..."
Helga thought a moment, "Maybe it was some kind of physical warning?" Everyone turned to Helga, seeming confused. "Well he's transforming into some kind of higher form of Angel, right? Maybe the change of aura was just temporary..."
Wally thought some more about this, "It could've served as pretty fair warning that something was going to happen... Is that what your saying Helga?" The girl nodded.
"It is a theory... But somehow, and I've got a bad feeling about it, I doubt something that small could serve as a warning. Keep in mind, that I'm an able to sense aura's very well, and I almost missed it. What kind of warning is that?"
Helga lowered her head, "So that couldn't have been it..."
